1Whole-Genome Resequencing of a Worldwide Collection of Rapeseed Accessions Reveals the Genetic Basis of Ecotype Divergence显示文摘Rapeseed (Brassica napus),an important oilseed crop,has adapted to diverse climate zones and latitudes by forming three main ecotype groups,namely winter,semiwinter,and spring types. However,genetic variations underlying the divergence of these ecotypes are largely unknown. Here,we report the global pattern of genetic polymorphisms in rapeseed determined by resequencing a worldwide collection of 991 germplasm accessions.A total of 5.56 and 5.53 million singlenucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs)as Well as 1.86 and 1.92 million InDels were identified by mapping reads to the reference genomes of 'Darmor-bzh'and 'Tapidor,'respectively.We generated a map of allelic drift paths that shows splits and mixtures of the main populations,and revealed an asymmetric evolution of the two subgenomes of B.napus by calculating the genetic diversity and linkage disequilibrium parameters.Selective-sweep analysis revealed genetic changes in genes orthologous to those regulating various aspects of plant development and response to stresses.A genome-wide association study identified SNPs in the promoter regions of FLOWERING LOCUS T and FLOWERING LOCUS C orthologs that corresponded to the different rapeseed ecotype groups. 2Impacts of climatic and marine environmental variations on the spatial distribution of Ommastrephes bartramii in the Northwest Pacific Ocean显示文摘Ommastrephes bartramii is an ecologically dependent species and has great commercial values among the AsiaPacific countries. This squid widely inhabits the North Pacific, one of the most dynamic marine environments in the world, subjecting to multi-scale climatic events such as the Pacific Decadal Oscillation(PDO). Commercial fishery data from the Chinese squid-jigging fleets during 1995–2011 are used to evaluate the influences of climatic and oceanic environmental variations on the spatial distribution of O. bartramii. Significant interannual and seasonal variability are observed in the longitudinal and latitudinal gravity centers(LONG and LATG) of fishing ground of O. bartramii. The LATG mainly occurred in the waters with the suitable ranges of environmental variables estimated by the generalized additive model. The apparent north-south spatial shift in the annual LATG appeares to be associated with the PDO phenomenon and is closely related to the sea surface temperature(SST)and sea surface height(SSH) on the fishing ground, whereas the mixed layer depth(MLD) might contribute limited impacts to the distribution pattern of O. bartramii. The warm PDO regimes tend to yield cold SST and low SSH, resulting in a southward shift of LATG, while the cold PDO phases provid warm SST and elevated SSH,resulting in a northward shift of LATG. 5Hearing analysis in heterozygous and homozygous klotho gene deficient mice显示文摘Objective: To understand the crucial role of the klotho gene in hearing development in mouse models.Methods: PCR was used to identify CBA mice with different genotypes, i.e. WT, heterozygous(klotho +/-)or homozygous(klotho-/-). Mice phenotype and weight were recorded postnatal 25 days(P-25) and auditory brainstem responses(ABR) were used to determine auditory function at P-60.Results: klotho-/-mice tended to have smaller size, lighter weight and higher ABR thresholds at P-60,showing early onset age-related hearing loss(ARHL).Conclusion: Heterozygous and homozygous klotho deficient mice exhibit different degrees of hearing loss at young age, with homozygous mice(klotho-/-) showing more severe hearing loss. 8Post-combustion slipstream CO_(2)-capture test facility at Jiangyou Power Plant,Sichuan,China:facility design and validation using 30% wt monoethanolamine(MEA)testing显示文摘Given the dominant share of coal in China’s energy-generation mix and the fact that>50% of the power plants in the country are currently<15 years old,efforts to significantly reduce China’s CO_(2) footprint will require the deployment of CO_(2) capture across at least part of its fleet of coal-fired power plants.CO_(2)-capture technology is reaching commercial maturity,but it is still necessary to adapt the technology to regional conditions,such as power-plant design and flexible operation in the China context.Slipstream facilities provide valuable field data to support the commercialization of CO_(2) capture.We have built a slipstream facility at Jiangyou power plant in Sichuan that will allow us to explore China-relevant issues,especially flexible operation,over the next few years.We plan to share our results with the broader CO_(2)-capture and CO_(2)-storage(CCS)community to accelerate the deployment of CCS in China.This paper describes the design of the slipstream facility and presents results from our steady-state qualification tests using a well-studied benchmark solvent:30% wt monoethanolamine(MEA).The results from our MEA tests compare favorably to results reported from other slipstream-test facilities around the world,allowing us to commission our system and establish a reference baseline for future studies.Baodeng Wang Qian Cui Guoping Zhang Yinhua Long Yongwei Sun Xinglei Zhao Zhendong He Anthony Y.Ku 2020Clean Energy2020,4,2:1

10Investigations of entrainment characteristics and shear-layer vortices evolution in an axisymmetric rear variable area bypass injector显示文摘In this study,firstly,for the axisymmetric RVABI,the change-rule of adverse pressure gradient caused by radial velocity during the transition of internal flow mode in variable geometry is summarized,and a Bypass Ratio(BR) iterative algorithm based on the empirical correlation of non-equilibrium pressure is proposed.The algorithm can estimate the nonlinear relationship between area ratio and BR,with an error range falling below 6.5%.Then,we discuss the favorable effect of uniform mixing on the thrust augmentation of mixed exhaust under variable BR conditions.From this point of view,the characteristics of vortices evolution in different shear strength jets are compared,to clarify the effect of variable cycle parameters on jet mixing.As the results suggest,when ■ is as low as 0.22,the K-H disturbance is of high-frequency wavelet property,and it is difficult to induce large-scale spanwise vortices.The macro migrations of fluid elements in span wise vortices and the diffusion effect caused by edge tearing is weak,which is not conducive to the energy exchange between the two streams.However,the low ■ jet will also correspondingly weaken the viscous dissipation effect of vortices.It is concluded that the dissipation level is proportional to the 2.31 power of the ■.Guoping HUANG Chao LI Chen XIA Qian LI 2022Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2022,35,4:1

17Post-combustion slipstream CO_(2)-capture test facility at Jiangyou Power Plant, Sichuan, China: performance of a membrane separation module under dynamic power-plant operations显示文摘Membrane-based separation technologies have the potential to lower the cost of post-combustion CO_(2) capture from power-plant flue gases through reduced energy and capital costs relative to conventional solvent approaches.Studies have shown promise under controlled conditions,but there is a need for data on performance and reliability under field conditions.Coal-fired power plants in China operate in a dynamic manner,with increases and decreases in output causing changes in flue-gas composition.In this paper,we describe the first field test of a membrane-based post-combustion CO_(2)-capture system connected to a dynamically operating power plant in China.We report the performance of a Membrane Technology Research,Inc.(MTR)Polaris^(TM) membrane-based capture system over a range of plant operating loads ranging from 54%to 84%and conducted an operational stability test over a 168-h period during which the power plant was operating at an average load of 55%,but ramped as high as 79%and as low as 55%.Our results confirm the ability of a membrane capture system to operate effectively over a wide range of host-plant operating conditions,but also identity several issues related to plant integration,system control and resilience in the face of host-plant upsets that require attention as membrane separation systems move towards commercial use.Qian Cui Baodeng Wang Xinglei Zhao Guoping Zhang Zhendong He Yinhua Long Yongwei Sun Anthony Y.Ku 2021Clean Energy2021,5,4:1
18Study on tongue coating microbes of bitter taste,sticky and greasy taste in chronic atrophic gastritis显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To objectively reveal the relationship between tongue coating microbes and bitter taste,sticky and greasy taste in chronic atrophic gastritis(CAG)patients.METHODS:16S rRNA high-throughput sequencing was used to detect bacterial diversity and community composition of tongue coating microbes from samples of CAG patients.LEfSe algorithm was used for discovering the different tongue coating microbes in CAG patients with or without bitter taste,also that in CAG patients with or without sticky and greasy taste.RESULTS:We respectively compared the features of tongue coating microbes in bitter taste,sticky and greasy taste of CAG patients.At the genus level,25 tongue coating microbes were significantly different in CAG patients with bitter taste or without bitter taste;17 tongue coating microbes were significantly different in CAG patients with sticky and greasy taste or without sticky and greasy taste.Campylobacter and Rothia were closely related to CAG patients with bitter taste.Enterococcus,Serratia,Leptotrichia and Selenomonas were closely related to CAG patients with stick and greasy taste.CONCLUSION:Campylobacter and Rothia possibly contribute to bitter taste of CAG patients,and Enterococcus,Serratia,Leptotrichia and Selenomonas contribute to stick and greasy taste of CAG patients,which is potential for the diagnosis and treatment of CAG.CAO Yang GAI Xiao ZHENG Yixin Guo Benqiong NIU Jingbin QIAN Peng LING Jianghong LIU Guoping ZHENG Yu 2023Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2023,43,1:0
