1Damage evolution and dynamic response of cement asphalt mortar layer of slab track under vehicle dynamic load显示文摘The damage evolution and dynamic performance of a cement asphalt(CA)mortar layer of slab track subjected to vehicle dynamic load is investigated in this paper.Initially,a statistical damage constitutive model for the CA mortar layer is developed using continuous damage mechanics and probability theory.In this model,the strength of the CA mortar elements is treated as a random variable,which follows the Weibull distribution.The inclusion of strain rate dependence affords considering its influence on the damage development and the transition between viscosity and elasticity.Comparisons with experimental data support the reliability of the model.A three-dimensional finite element(FE)model of a slab track is then created with the commercial software ABAQUS,where the devised model for the CA mortar is implemented as a user-defined material subroutine.Finally,a vertical vehicle model is coupled with the FE model of the slab track,through the wheel-rail contact forces,based on the nonlinear Hertzian contact theory.The evolution of the damage and of the dynamic performance of the CA mortar layer with various initial damage is investigated under the train and track interaction.The analysis indicates that the proposed model is capable of predicting the damage evolution of the CA mortar layer exposed to vehicle dynamic load.The dynamic compressive strain,the strain rate,and the induced damage increase significantly with an increase in the initial damage,whereas the dynamic compressive stress exhibits a sharp decrease with the increasing initial damage.Also,it is found that the strain rate dependence significantly influences the damage evolution and the dynamic behavior of the CA mortar layer.ZHU ShengYang FU Qiang CAI ChengBiao SPANOS Pol D 2014Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,10:19
2Comprehensive review of telbivudine in pregnant women with chronic hepatitis B显示文摘AIM:To achieve an evidence-based conclusion regarding the safety and efficacy of telbivudine during pregnancy.METHODS:A pooled analysis of data from a literature search reported 1739 pregnancy outcomes(1673 live births)from 1725 non-overlapping pregnant women treated with telbivudine.The prevalence of live birth defects(3.6/1000)was similar to that of the nonantiviral controls(3.0/1000)and not increased as compared with overall prevalence(14.5 to 60/1000).No target organ toxicity was identified.The prevalence of spontaneous abortion in pregnant women treated with telbivudine(4.2/1000)was not increased compared with the overall prevalence(16/1000).The mother-to-child transmission rate was significantly reduced in pregnant women treated with telbivudine(0.70%)compared to those treated with the non-antiviral controls(11.9%;P<0.0001)or compared to the historical rates of hepatitis B virus(HBV)-infected population without antiviral treatment(10%-15%).RESULTS:Cumulatively 489 pregnancy cases have been reported in the telbivudine pharmacovigilance database(with a cut-off date 31 August 2014),of those,308 had known pregnancy outcomes with 249 cases of live births(239 cases of live birth without congenital anomaly and 10 cases of live birth with congenital anomaly).In the latest antiretroviral pregnancy registry report(1 January 1989 through 31 January 2015)of27 patients exposed to telbivudine during pregnancy(18,6 and 3 during first,second and third trimester,respectively)19 live births were reported and there were no cases of birth defects reported.CONCLUSION:Telbivudine treatment during pregnancy presents a favorable safety profile without increased rates of live birth defects,spontaneous abortion or elective termination,or fetal/neonatal toxicity.Exposure to telbivudine in the first,second and third trimester of pregnancy has been shown to significantly reduce the risk of HBV transmission from mother to child on the basis of standard immune prophylaxis procedure.Teerha Piratvisuth Guo Rong Han Stanislas Pol Yuhong Dong Aldo Trylesinski 2016World Journal of Hepatology2016,8,9:13

4Silicon and silicon nitride photonic circuits for spectroscopic sensing on-a-chip [Invited]显示文摘There is a rapidly growing demand to use silicon and silicon nitride(Si3N4) integrated photonics for sensing applications, ranging from refractive index to spectroscopic sensing. By making use of advanced CMOS technology,complex miniaturized circuits can be easily realized on a large scale and at a low cost covering visible to mid-IR wavelengths. In this paper we present our recent work on the development of silicon and Si3N4-based photonic integrated circuits for various spectroscopic sensing applications. We report our findings on waveguide-based absorption, and Raman and surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy. 5Anti-hepatitis C virus potency of a new autophagy inhibitor using human liver slices model显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the antiviral potency of a new antihepatitis C virus(HCV) antiviral agent targeting the cellular autophagy machinery. METHODS: Non-infected liver slices, obtained from human liver resection and cut in 350 μm-thick slices(2.7 × 106 cells per slice) were infected with cell culture-grown HCV Con1b/C3 supernatant(multiplicity of infection = 0.1) cultivated for up to ten days. HCV infected slices were treated at day 4 post-infection with GNS-396 for 6 d at different concentrations. HCV replication was evaluated by strand-specific real-time quantitative reverse transcription- polymerase chain reaction. The infectivity titers of supernatants were evaluated by foci formation upon inoculation into naive Huh-7.5.1 cells. The cytotoxic effect of the drugs was evaluated by lactate dehydrogenase leakage assays. RESULTS: The antiviral efficacy of a new antiviral drug, GNS-396, an autophagy inhibitor, on HCV infection of adult human liver slices was evidenced in a dosedependent manner. 7The effects of transcranial direct current stimulation on gait in patients with Parkinson’s disease:a systematic review显示文摘Background:Gait problems are an important symptom in Parkinson’s disease(PD),a progressive neurodegenerative disease.Transcranial direct current stimulation(tDCS)is a neuromodulatory intervention that can modulate cortical excitability of the gait-related regions.Despite an increasing number of gait-related tDCS studies in PD,the efficacy of this technique for improving gait has not been systematically investigated yet.Here,we aimed to systematically explore the effects of tDCS on gait in PD,based on available experimental studies.Methods:Using the PRISMA(Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses)approach,PubMed,Web of Science,Scopus,and PEDro databases were searched for randomized clinical trials assessing the effect of tDCS on gait in patients with PD.Results:Eighteen studies were included in this systematic review.Overall,tDCS targeting the motor cortex and supplementary motor area bilaterally seems to be promising for gait rehabilitation in PD.Studies of tDCS targeting the dorosolateral prefrontal cortex or cerebellum showed more heterogeneous results.More studies are needed to systematically compare the efficacy of different tDCS protocols,including protocols applying tDCS alone and/or in combination with conventional gait rehabilitation treatment in PD.Conclusions:tDCS is a promising intervention approach to improving gait in PD.Anodal tDCS over the motor areas has shown a positive effect on gait,but stimulation of other areas is less promising.However,the heterogeneities of methods and results have made it difficult to draw firm conclusions.Therefore,systematic explorations of tDCS protocols are required to optimize the efficacy.Fateme Pol Mohammad Ali Salehinejad Hamzeh Baharlouei Michael A.Nitsche 2021Translational Neurodegeneration2021,10,2:4

9Early pancreatic cancer in Ig G4-related pancreatic mass:A case report显示文摘BACKGROUND IgG4-related disease can manifest diversely,including autoimmune pancreatitis and IgG4-related cholangiopathy.We are reporting a very unusual cause of pancreatic cancer triggered in a previously unknown IgG4-related disease.CASE SUMMARY A 75-year-old man was diagnosed with a 43 mm×33 mm pancreatic head tumor after consulting for abdominal pain and jaundice.A pancreaticoduodenectomy was carried out uneventfully,and the histopathology report showed an early stage of acinar-cell pancreatic cancer.The patient reconsulted on the 30th postoperative day with fever,jaundice and asthenia.Magnetic resonance cholangiopancreatography evidenced an extense bile duct stricture.A percutaneous biliary drainage proved to be ineffective,even after exchanging it with larger bore drainage.Reviewing the surgical specimen,features compatible with IgG4-related disease were observed.Consequently,empiric treatment with steroids was initiated achieving excellent results.CONCLUSION IgG4-related disease may cause chronic inflammation of the pancreas and can condition pancreatic malignancies.Juan Glinka Francisco Calderón Martín de Santibanes Sung Ho Hyon Adrián Gadano Eduardo Mullen Melina Pol Juan Spina Eduardo de Santibanes 2019World Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery2019,11,12:3

11Fabrication of AA7005/TiB2-B4C surface composite by friction stir processing: Evaluation of ballistic behaviour显示文摘The present work aims to enhance the ballistic resistance of AA7005 alloy by incorporating the TiB2 and B4C ceramic reinforcement particles. Surface composites with different weight fractions of TiB2 and B4C particles were processed by friction stir processing. Micro-hardness and depth of penetration tests were carried out to evaluate the ballistic properties of the surface composites. The surface hardness of the composite was found to be nearly 70 HV higher than base alloy. The depth of penetration of the steel projectile was 20e26mm in the composites as compared to 37mm in the base alloy. Ballistic mass efficiency factor of the surface composite was found to be 1.6 times higher than base alloy. 13Effect of sustained virological response on long-term clinical outcome in 113 patients with compensated hepatitis C-related cirrhosis treated by interferon alpha and ribavirin显示文摘AIM:To assess the long-term clinical benefit of sustained virological response(SVR)in patients with hepatitis C virus(HCV)cirrhosis treated by antiviral therapy using mostly ribavirin plus interferon either standard or pegylated.METHODS:One hundred and thirteen patients with uncomplicated HCV biopsy-proven cirrhosis,treated by at least one course of antiviral treatment ≥ 3 mo and followed ≥ 30 mo were included.The occurrence of clinical events hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC),decompensation and death was compared in SVR and non SVR patients.RESULTS:Seventy eight patients received bitherapy and 63 had repeat treatments.SVR was achieved in 37 patients(33%).During a mean follow-up of 7.7 years,clinical events occurred more frequently in non SVR than in SVR patients,with a significant difference for HCC(24/76 vs 1/37,P = 0.01).No SVR patient died while 20/76 non-SVR did(P = 0.002),mainly in relation to HCC(45%).CONCLUSION:In patients with HCV-related cirrhosis,SVR is associated with a significant decrease in the incidence of HCC and mortality during a follow-up period of 7.7 years.This result is a strong argument to perform and repeat antiviral treatments in patients with compensated cirrhosis.Roland El Braks Nathalie Ganne-Carrié Hélène Fontaine Jacques Paries Véronique Grando-Lemaire Michel Beaugrand Stanislas Pol Jean-Claude Trinchet 2007World Journal of Gastroenterology2007,13,42:3
