1Comparative transcriptome analysis of different nitrogen responses in low-nitrogen sensitive and tolerant maize genotypes显示文摘Although previous researches have greatly increased our general knowledge on plant responses to nitrogen(N)stress,a comprehensive understanding of the different responses in crop genotypes is still needed.This study evaluated 304 maize accessions for low-N tolerance under field conditions,and selected the low-N sensitive Ye478 and low-N tolerant Qi319 for further investigations.After a 5-day low-N treatment,the typical N-deficient phenotype with yellowing older leaves was observed in Ye478 but not in Qi319.After the 5-day low-N stress,16 RNA libraries from leaf and root of Ye478 and Qi319 were generated.The differentially expressed genes(DEGs)in the root of Qi319 up-regulated by special N deficiency were mainly enriched in energy-related metabolic pathways,including tricarboxylic acid metabolic process and nicotinamide metabolic process.Consistent with yellowing older leaves only observed in Ye478,the special N deficiency-responsive DEGs related to thylakoid,chloroplast,photosynthetic membrane,and chloroplast stroma pathways were repressed by low-N stress in Ye478.A total of 216 transcription factors(TFs),including ZmNLP5,were identified as special N deficiencyresponsive TFs between Qi319 and Ye478,indicating the importance of transcriptional regulation of N stress-responsive pathway in different tolerance to low-N stress between crop genotypes.In addition,15 miRNAs were identified as DEGs between Qi319 and Ye478.Taken together,this study contributes to the understanding of the genetic variations and molecular basis of low-N tolerance in maize.DU Qing-guo YANG Juan Shah Syed Muhammad Sadiq YANG Rong-xin YU Jing-juan LI Wen-xue 2021Journal of Integrative Agriculture2021,20,8:5
2Hydrometallurgical leaching and kinetic modeling of low-grade manganese ore with banana peel in sulfuric acid显示文摘Manganese was leached from a low-grade manganese ore(LGMO)using banana peel as the reductant in a dilute sulfuric acid medium.The effects of banana peel amount,H2SO4 concentration,reaction temperature,and time on Mn leaching from the complex LGMO were studied.A leaching efficiency of~98%was achieved at a leaching time of 2 h,banana peel amount of 4 g,leaching temperature of 120°C,manganese ore amount of 5 g,and sulfuric acid concentration of 15vol%.The phase,microstructural,and chemical analyses of LGMO samples before and after the leaching process confirmed the successful leaching of manganese.Furthermore,the leaching process followed the shrinking core model and the leaching rate was controlled by a surface chemical reaction(1−(1−x)^1/3=kt)mechanism with an apparent activation energy of 40.19 kJ·mol^−1.Sajjad Ali Yaseen Iqbal Inamullah Khan Ansar Ullah Muhammad Sadiq Muhammad Fahad Khizar Hussain Shah 2021International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2021,28,2:3

12De-convolution and De-noising of SAR Based GPS Images Using Hybrid Particle Swarm Optimization显示文摘Synthetic aperture radar(SAR) imaging is an efficient strategy which exploits the properties of microwaves to capture images.A major concern in SAR imaging is the reconstruction of image from back scattered signals in the presence of noise.The reflected signal consist of more noise than the target signal and it is a challenging problem to reduce the noise in the collected signal for better reconstruction of an image.Current studies mostly focus on filtering techniques for noise removal.This can result in an undesirable point spread function causing extreme smearing effect in the desired image.In order to handle this problem,a computational technique,particle swarm optimization(PSO) is used for de-noising purpose and later the target performance is further improved by an amalgamation of Wiener filter.Moreover,to improve the de-noising performance we have exploited the singular value decomposition based morphological filtering.To justify the proposed improvements we have simulated the proposed techniques and results are compared with the conventional existing models.The proposed method revealed considerable decrease in mean square error compared to Wiener filter and PSO techniques.Quantitative analysis of image restoration quality are also presented in comparison with Wiener filter and PSO based on the improvement in signal to noise ratio and peak signal to noise ratio.Rizwan Sadiq Muhammad Bilal Qureshi Muhammad Mohsin Khan 2023Chinese Journal of Electronics2023,32,1:1

14Structural and dielectric properties of doped ferrite nanomaterials suitable for microwave and biomedical applications显示文摘The sol-gel auto-combustion method was adopted to synthesize nanomaterials of single-phase X-type hexagonal ferrites with the composition of Sr_(2-x)Gd_xNi_2Fe_(28-y)Cd_yO_(46)(x=0.00,0.02,0.04,0.06,0.08,0.10 and y = 0,0.1,0.2,0.3,0.4,0.5).The structural properties were carried out by XRD analysis and the lattice parameters show variation with the doping of Gd-Cd.The average particle size measured by TEM was in the range of 8-10 nm which is beneficial in obtaining suitable signal-to-noise ratio in recording media and biomedical applications.The room temperature resistivity enhanced with the increase of the dopant concentration.The increase in resistivity indicates that the synthesized materials can be considered good for the formation of the multilayer chip inductors(MLCIs) as well as for the reduction of eddy current losses.The dielectric constant decreased with the increase in the frequency which is the general reported trend of the hexagonal ferrites and can be explained on the basis of Koop's theory and Maxwell-Wagner polarization-model.The abnormal dielectric behavior indicates the formation of small polarons in the material.The maximum value of tangent loss at low frequencies reflects the application of these materials in medium frequency devices(MF).Imran Sadiq Shahzad Naseem Muhammad Naeem Ashiq M.A.Khan Shanawer Niaz M.U.Rana 2015Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2015,25,5:1
15A 37 GHz Millimeter-Wave Antenna Array for 5G Communication Terminals显示文摘This work presents,design and specific absorption rate(SAR)analysis of a 37GHz antenna,for 5th Generation(5G)applications.The proposed antenna comprises of 4-elements of rectangular patch and an even distribution.The radiating element is composed of copper material supported by Rogers RT5880 substrate of thickness,0.254 mm,dielectric constant(εr),2.2,and loss tangent,0.0009.The 4-elements array antenna is compact in size with a dimension of 8mm×20mm in length and width.The radiating patch is excited with a 50 ohms connector i.e.,K-type.The antenna resonates in the frequency band of 37 GHz,that covers the 5G applications.The antenna behavior is studied both in free space and in the proximity of the human body.Three models of the human body,i.e.,belly,hand,and head(contain skin,fat,muscles,and bone)are considered for on-body simulations.At resonant frequency,the antenna gives a boresight gain of 11.6 dB.The antenna radiates efficiently with a radiated efficiency of more than 90%.Also,it is observed that the antenna detunes to the lowest in the proximity of the human body,but still a good impedance matching is achieved considering the−10 dB criteria.Moreover,SAR is also being presented.The safe limit of 2 W/kg for any 10 g of biological tissue,specified by the European International Electro Technical Commission(IEC)has been considered.The calculated values of SAR for human body models,i.e.,belly,hand and head are 1.82,1.81 and 1.09 W/kg,respectively.The SAR values are less than the international recommendations for the three models.Furthermore,the simulated and measured results of the antenna are in close agreement,which makes it,a potential candidate for the fifth-generation smart phones and other handheld devices.Jalal Khan Sadiq Ullah Usman Ali Ladislau Matekovits Farooq Ahmad Tahir Muhammad Inam Abbasi 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,4:0
16Th-Shaped Tunable Multi-Band Antenna for Modern Wireless Applications显示文摘A compact,reconfigurable antenna supporting multiple wireless services with a minimum number of switches is found lacking in literature and the same became the focus and outcome of this work.It was achieved by designing a Th-Shaped frequency reconfigurable multi-band microstrip planar antenna,based on use of a single switch within the radiating structure of the antenna.Three frequency bands(i.e.,2007–2501 MHz,3660–3983MHz and 9341–1046 MHz)can be operated with the switch in the ON switch state.In the OFF state of the switch,the antenna operates within the 2577–3280MHz and 9379–1033MHz Bands.The proposed antenna shows an acceptable input impedance match with Voltage Standing Wave Ratio(VSWR)less than 1.2.The peak radiation efficiency of the antenna is 82%.A reasonable gain is obtained from 1.22 to 3.31 dB within the operating bands is achieved.The proposed antenna supports UniversalMobile Telecommunication System(UMTS)-1920 to 2170 MHz,Worldwide Interoperability and Microwave Access(WiMAX)/Wireless Broadband/(Long Term Evolution)LTE2500–2500 to 2690 MHz,Fifth Generation(5G)-2500/3500 MHz,Wireless Fidelity(Wi-Fi)/Bluetooth-2400 to 2480 MHz,and Satellite communication applications in X-Band-8000 to 12000 MHz.The overall planar dimension of the proposed antenna is 40×20mm2.The antennawas designed,along with the parametric study,using Electromagnetic(EM)simulation tool.The antenna prototype is fabricated for experimental validation with the simulated results.The proposed antenna is low profile,tunable,lightweight,cheap to fabricate and highly efficient and hence is deemed suitable for use in modern wireless communication electronic devices.Wasi Ur Rehman Khan Muhammad Fawad Khan Muhammad Irfan Sadiq Ullah Naveed Mufti Usman Ali Rizwan Ullah Fazal Muhammad Saifur Rahman Faisal Althobiani Mohammed Alshareef Mohammad E.Gommosani 2023Computers, Materials & Continua2023,,2:0
17Variations in Surface Urban Heat Island and Urban Cool Island Intensity:A Review Across Major Climate Zones显示文摘The climate has an impact on the urban thermal environment,and the magnitude of the surface urban heat island(SUHI)and urban cool island(UCI)vary across the world’s climatic zones.This literature review investigated:1)the variations in the SUHI and UCI intensity under different climatic backgrounds,and 2)the effect of vegetation types,landscape composition,urban configuration,and water bodies on the SUHI.The SUHI had a higher intensity in tropical(Af(tropical rainy climate,Köppen climate classification),Am(tropical monsoon climate),subtropical(Cfa,subtropical humid climate),and humid continental(Dwa,semi-humid and semi-arid monsoon climate)climate zones.The magnitude of the UCI was low compared to the SUHI across the climate zones.The cool and dry Mediterranean(Cfb,temperate marine climate;Csb,temperate mediterranean climate;Cfa)and tropical climate(Af)areas had a higher cooling intensity.For cities with a desert climate(BWh,tropical desert climate),a reverse pattern was found.The difference in the SUHI in the night-time was greater than in the daytime for most cities across the climate zones.The extent of green space cooling was related to city size,the adjacent impervious surface,and the local climate.Additionally,the composition of urban landscape elements was more significant than their configuration for sustaining the urban thermal environment.Finally,we identified future research gaps for possible solutions in the context of sustainable urbanization in different climate zones.Muhammad Sadiq KHAN Sami ULLAH CHEN Liding 2023Chinese Geographical Science2023,33,6:0
18基于安全联邦蒸馏GAN的工业CPS协作入侵检测系统显示文摘针对敏感信息保密必要性导致的数据孤岛问题,提出了一种适用于工业信息物理系统(CPS)的安全协作入侵检测系统(PFD-GAN)。具体来说,首先通过融入Wasserstein距离和标签条件,改进外部分类器生成对抗网络(EC-GAN),构建了一种新型半监督入侵检测模型,以产生能够实用的生成数据来增强分类性能。同时,在改进EC-GAN的训练中,融合本地差分隐私技术,防止敏感信息的泄露、保障协作过程的隐私安全。此外,设计了基于去中心化联邦蒸馏的协作方式,允许多个工业CPS共同构建一个综合的入侵检测系统,以识别整个网络系统下的威胁,而无须共享统一的模板模型。对真实工业CPS数据集的实验评估和理论分析表明,PFD-GAN可以在免受隐私泄露风险的同时,高效地检测针对工业CPS的各种类型攻击。梁俊威 杨耿 马懋德 Muhammad Sadiq 2023通信学报2023,44,12:0

20Bacterial Spectrum and Antimicrobial Profile of Pediatric Blood Stream Infection at a Tertiary Care Hospital in Pakistan显示文摘Objectives Blood stream infections(BSIs)are the main cause of morbidity and mortality in children worldwide.The present study was carried out to determine the prevalence of BSI with a focus on the identification of the causative agent of BSI,and to further evaluate the antibiotic susceptibility profile of the causing bacterial pathogens.Methods A cross-section study was carried out at the tertiary care hospital in Peshawar,Pakistan from January to December,2018.Blood samples were collected in BACTEC™botdes and standard microbiological protocols were applied for the isolation and identification of bacterial strains.The antibiotic susceptibility tests were performed using disc diffusion method as per the 2014 guideline of Clinical Laboratory Standard Institute(CLSI).Results Of 567 blood cultures in total,111(19.6%)were positive for BSI.Male children were 64%(71/111)and female children were 36%(40/111).For the causative predominant group of microorganisms,Gramnegative bacteria were identified in 79(71.1%)isolates,and Gram-positive bacteria in 32(28.9%)isolates.The common bacteria of isolates were S.typhi(n=35,31.5%),E.coli(n=19,17.1%),S.aureus(n=18,16.2%),K.pneumonia(n=12,10.8%),and Enterococcus species(n=7,6.3%).The 36.7%(29/79)isolates of Gram-negative bacteria were ESBL producers,and 61.1%(11/18)of S.aureus isolates were methicillin resistant.Overall,72.9%isolates were multidrug resistant.Conclusions Gram-negative bacteria were the main cause of pediatric BSIs,where the predominant microorganism was S.卯hi.Remarkably,majority of the S.typhi isolates were resistant to ciprofloxacin.Anees Muhammad Sadiq Noor Khan Tahir Jamal Irshad Ul Haq Abdul Jabbar Ihsan Ali 2020Chinese Medical Sciences Journal2020,35,4:0
