3Structural and dielectric properties of doped ferrite nanomaterials suitable for microwave and biomedical applications显示文摘The sol-gel auto-combustion method was adopted to synthesize nanomaterials of single-phase X-type hexagonal ferrites with the composition of Sr_(2-x)Gd_xNi_2Fe_(28-y)Cd_yO_(46)(x=0.00,0.02,0.04,0.06,0.08,0.10 and y = 0,0.1,0.2,0.3,0.4,0.5).The structural properties were carried out by XRD analysis and the lattice parameters show variation with the doping of Gd-Cd.The average particle size measured by TEM was in the range of 8-10 nm which is beneficial in obtaining suitable signal-to-noise ratio in recording media and biomedical applications.The room temperature resistivity enhanced with the increase of the dopant concentration.The increase in resistivity indicates that the synthesized materials can be considered good for the formation of the multilayer chip inductors(MLCIs) as well as for the reduction of eddy current losses.The dielectric constant decreased with the increase in the frequency which is the general reported trend of the hexagonal ferrites and can be explained on the basis of Koop's theory and Maxwell-Wagner polarization-model.The abnormal dielectric behavior indicates the formation of small polarons in the material.The maximum value of tangent loss at low frequencies reflects the application of these materials in medium frequency devices(MF).Imran Sadiq Shahzad Naseem Muhammad Naeem Ashiq M.A.Khan Shanawer Niaz M.U.Rana 2015Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2015,25,5:1

5Saponins and solvent extracts from Atriplex laciniata L. exhibited high anthelmintic and insecticidal activities显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To investigate saponins and various solvent extracts from Atriplex laciniata(A. laciniata)against human parasites and various pests.METHODS: The samples from A. laciniata used in the activities were crude saponins(Al.Sp F) and solvent samples including methanolic extract(Al.Me F), ethyl acetate(Al.Ea F), choloroform(Al.Cf F),n-hexane(Al.Hx F) and water residual(Al.Wt F). Anthelmintic potentials of the samples were analyzed against Pheretima posthuma(earthworms) and Ascaridia galli(round worms) using contact toxicity method. Insecticidal activities were performed against Heterotermes indicola(termite), Monomorium pharaonis(pharaoh ant), Tribolium castaneum(flour beetle) and Rhyzopertha dominica(grain borer) using standard protocols.RESULTS: In anthelmintic assay, Al.Cf F and Al.Sp F were most effective against P. posthuma and A. gal-li with average death times of 25.62 and 29.65 min respectively. Likewise the anthelmintic assay, Al.Sp F and Al.Cf F were most effective against H. indicola causing 90.36% and 73.24% lethality respectively. Furthermore, in anti-Pharaoh activity Al.Sp F, Al.Wt F, Al.Cf F, Al.Me F and Al.Cf F exhibited highest activity with LD50 of 78, 220, 260, 330 and > 800 mg/m L respectively. Al.Sp F and Al.Cf F were highly effective against R. dominica causing 80.11% and71.30% lethality respectively. 6Deep Learning Approach for Automatic Cardiovascular Disease Prediction Employing ECG Signals显示文摘Cardiovascular problems have become the predominant cause of death worldwide and a rise in the number of patients has been observed lately.Currently,electrocardiogram(ECG)data is analyzed by medical experts to determine the cardiac abnormality,which is time-consuming.In addition,the diagnosis requires experienced medical experts and is error-prone.However,automated identification of cardiovascular disease using ECGs is a challenging problem and state-of-the-art performance has been attained by complex deep learning architectures.This study proposes a simple multilayer perceptron(MLP)model for heart disease prediction to reduce computational complexity.ECG dataset containing averaged signals with window size 10 is used as an input.Several competing deep learning and machine learning models are used for comparison.K-fold cross-validation is used to validate the results.Experimental outcomes reveal that the MLP-based architecture can produce better outcomes than existing approaches with a 94.40%accuracy score.The findings of this study show that the proposed system achieves high performance indicating that it has the potential for deployment in a real-world,practical medical environment.Muhammad Tayyeb Muhammad Umer Khaled Alnowaiser Saima Sadiq Ala’Abdulmajid Eshmawi Rizwan Majeed Abdullah Mohamed Houbing Song Imran Ashraf 2023Computer Modeling in Engineering & Sciences2023,,11:0
