1A transition prediction method for flow over airfoils based on high-order dynamic mode decomposition显示文摘This article presents a novel approach for predicting transition locations over airfoils,which are used to activate turbulence model in a Reynolds-averaged Navier-Stokes flow solver.This approach combines Dynamic Mode Decomposition(DMD)with e^Ncriterion.The core idea is to use a spatial DMD analysis to extract the modes of unstable perturbations from a steady flowfield and substitute the local Linear Stability Theory(LST)analysis to quantify the spatial growth of Tollmien–Schlichting(TS)waves.Transition is assumed to take place at the stream-wise location where the most amplified mode’s N-factor reaches a prescribed threshold and a turbulence model is activated thereafter.To improve robustness,the high-order version of DMD technique(known as HODMD)is employed.A theoretical derivation is conducted to interpret how a spatial highorder DMD analysis can extract the growth rate of the unsteady perturbations.The new method is validated by transition predictions of flows over a low-speed Natural-Laminar-Flow(NLF)airfoil NLF0416 at various angles of attack and a transonic NLF airfoil NPU-LSC-72613.The transition locations predicted by our HODMD/e^Nmethod agree well with experimental data and compare favorably to those obtained by some existing methods■.It is shown that the proposed method is able to predict transition locations for flows over different types of airfoils and offers the potential for application to 3D wings as well as more complex configurations.Mengmeng WU Zhonghua HAN Han NIE Wenping SONG Soledad Le CLAINCHE Esteban FERRER 2019Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2019,32,11:7
2Dark matter direct search sensitivity of the PandaX-4T experiment显示文摘The Panda X-4T experiment, a 4-ton scale dark matter direct detection experiment, is being planned at the China Jinping Underground Laboratory. In this paper we present a simulation study of the expected background in this experiment. In a 2.8-ton fiducial mass and the signal region between 1-10 keV electron equivalent energy, the total electron recoil background is found to be 4.9 × 10^(-5) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). The nuclear recoil background in the same region is 2.8 × 10^(-7) kg^(-1) d^(-1) keV^(-1). 3Regulative effect of Taohong Siwu decoction(桃红四物汤) on extracellular matrix of endometrium in drug-induced abortion显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To explore the effects of Taohong Siwu decoction(桃红四物汤, THSWD) on the extracellular matrix of endometrium in rats following drug-induced abortion.METHODS: Thirty-six pregnant female rats were administered mifepristone and misoprostol to induce abortion, and amounts of uterine bleeding were recorded. Pathological damage and collagen accumulation were detected by hematoxylin-eosin staining and Masson’s trichrome staining in uterus, respectively. Myeloperoxidase was evaluated by immunohistochemistry.The expression levels of fibronectin, laminin, matrix metalloproteinase 9(MMP-9), and tissue inhibitor of metalloproteinase 1(TIMP-1) were quantified using western blotting.RESULTS: THSWD could promote endometrial protection in rats following drug-induced abortion.The contents of cellulose and myeloperoxidase were significantly decreased in uterine tissue of THSWD-treated groups. Moreover, THSWD significantly decreased the expression levels of fibronectin, laminin, and TIMP-1. THSWD also significantly increased MMP-9 expression and the MMP-9/TIMP-1 ratio.CONCLUSION: THSWD plays a critical role in endometrial protection by reducing extracellular matrix deposition and uterine fibrosis. 6Similar or different: the same Spiro-core but different alkyl chains with apparently improved device performance of perovskite solar cells显示文摘By intelligently utilizing the odd-even effect existing in the melting points of alkanes as presented in the basic textbook of Organic Chemistry, different alkoxy groups were introduced to modify the structure of commercial Spiro-OMeTAD to give new Spiro derivatives of Spiro-OEtTAD, Spiro-OPrTAD, Spiro-OiPrTAD and Spiro-OBuTAD, with the aim to adjust the molecular packing status in perovskite solar cells as hole transporting compounds. 8Achieving simultaneous Cu particles anchoring in meso-porous TiO_(2) nanofabrication for enhancing photo-catalytic CO_(2) reduction through rapid charge separation显示文摘A facile solvo-thermal approach was successfully employed to prepare titanium oxide (TiO_(2)) nano-aggregates with simultaneous copper particles anchoring. The as-synthesized composite could convert CO_(2) into CH_(4) and CO products under simulated solar irradiation. The impact of copper loading amounts on the photo-reduction capability was evaluated. It was found proper amount of Cu loading could enhance the activity of CO_(2) photo-reduction. As a result, the optimal composite (TiO_(2)^(-)Cu-5%) consisting of TiO_(2) supported with 5% (mole ratio) Cu exhibits 2.2 times higher CH_(4) yield and 3 times higher CO yield compared with pure TiO_(2). Conduction band calculated from the band gap and valence X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) indicated TiO_(2) nano-aggregates have suitable band edge alignment with respect to the CO_(2)/CH_(4) and CO_(2)/CO redox potential. Furthermore, with involving of Cu particles, an efficient separation of photo-generated charges was achieved on the basis of photocurrent response and photoluminescence spectra results, which contributed to the improved photo-catalytic performance. 9Nano-calcium silicate mineralized fish scale scaffolds for enhancing tendon-bone healing显示文摘Tendon-bone healing is essential for an effective rotator cuff tendon repair surgery,however,this remains a significant challenge due to the lack of biomaterials with high strength and bioactivity.Inspired by the high-performance exoskeleton of natural organisms,we set out to apply natural fish scale(FS)modified by calcium silicate nanoparticles(CS NPs)as a new biomaterial(CS-FS)to overcome the challenge.Benefit from its“Bouligand”microstructure,such FS-based scaffold maintained excellent tensile strength(125.05 MPa)and toughness(14.16 MJ/m^(3)),which are 1.93 and 2.72 times that of natural tendon respectively,allowing it to well meet the requirements for rotator cuff tendon repair.Additionally,CS-FS showed diverse bioactivities by stimulating the differentiation and phenotypic maintenance of multiple types of cells participated into the composition of tendon-bone junction,(e.g.bone marrow mesenchymal stem cells(BMSCs),chondrocyte,and tendon stem/progenitor cells(TSPCs)).In both rat and rabbit rotator cuff tear(RCT)models,CS-FS played a key role in the tendon-bone interface regeneration and biomechanical function,which may be achieved by activating BMP-2/Smad/Runx2 pathway in BMSCs.Therefore,natural fish scale-based biomaterials are the promising candidate for clinical tendon repair due to their outstanding strength and bioactivity.Fei Han Tian Li Mengmeng Li Bingjun Zhang Yufeng Wang Yufang Zhu Chengtie Wu 2023Bioactive Materials2023,,2:1

13Effectiveness and safety evaluation of graded levels of N-carbamylglutamate in growing-finishing pigs显示文摘The aim of this study was as follows:1)to investigate the effects of graded levels of N-carbamylglutamate(NCG)on performance,blood biochemical indexes,carcass traits and related indicators in growingfinishing pigs,and 2)to determine the optimal supplemental level.The toxicity of high-dose(much higher than recommended levels)NCG was assessed by routine blood tests and blood biochemical and histopathologic examinations of the heart,liver,spleen,lung,kidney and stomach.One hundred and forty-four growing-finishing pigs(DurocLarge WhiteLandrace,32.24±1.03 kg)were used in a 74-d experiment and each treatment was replicated 6 times with 4 pigs(2 barrows and 2 gilts)per replicate.The dietary treatments were a corn-soybean meal basal diet supplemented with 0%(control),0.05%,0.1%,0.15%,0.2%or 1%NCG.The first 5 groups were used to explore the optimal supplemental level of NCG,while the control,0.1%and 1%NCG groups were used to explore the safety of high-dose NCG.Compared with the normal control group,the final body weight and average daily gain tended to be higher in the 0.1%group(P=0.08),the lean percentage tended to be higher in the 0.05%group(P=0.07),the levels of free amino acids in the blood significantly increased in the 0.1%group(P<0.05),both 0.1%and 0.15%NCG supplementation increased the levels of nitric oxide(NO)in serum(P=0.07)and muscle growth-and lipid metabolism-related gene expression(P<0.05)and NCG supplementation improved C18:1N9C monounsaturated fatty acids(MUFA)in a dose-dependent manner(P=0.08).In addition,routine blood tests,blood biochemical indexes and histopathological examination revealed no abnormalities.Overall,increasing the levels of NCG did not linearly improve the above indicators;the 0.1%dose showed the best effect,and a high dose(1%)did not pose a toxicity risk.Chunping Wang Lijun Shang Qiuping Guo Yehui Duan Mengmeng Han Fengna Li Yulong Yin Shiyan Qiao 2022Animal Nutrition2022,,3:1
14High-precision potassium isotope analysis using the Nu Sapphire collision cell(CC)-MC-ICP-MS显示文摘This study presents high-precision analyses of stable potassium(K)isotope ratio using the recently-developed,collision-cell multi-collector inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry(CC-MC-ICP-MS,Nu Sapphire).The accuracy of our analyses is confirmed by measuring well-characterized geostandards(including rocks and seawater).Our results are consistent with literature values and a precision of 0.04‰(2SD)has been achieved based on multiple measurements of BCR-2 geostandard over a six-month period.We also evaluate factors that may lead to artificial isotope fractionations,including the mismatches in K concentration and acid molarity between samples and bracketing standards,as well as potential matrices.As the K adsorption capacity of AGW50-X8(200-400 mesh)is reduced with an increasing amount of matrix elements,less than 150µg K was loaded during the column chemistry.To evaluate the potential use of K isotopes as an archive of paleo seawater composition,δ^(41)K values of an international seawater standard(IAPSO),a Mn-nodule(NOD-P-1),and two iron formation standards(FeR-2 and FeR-4)are reported.The δ^(41)K value of IAPSO is consistent with other seawater samples reported previously,further substantiating a homogeneous K isotopic distribution in modern global oceans.The K isotopes in Mn-nodule(NOD-P-1:−0.121±0.013‰)and iron formation samples(FeR-2:−0.538±0.009‰;FeR-4:−0.401±0.008‰)seem to be an effective tracer of their formation genesis and compositional changes of ancient seawater.Our results suggest that high-precision measurements of stable K isotopes can be routinely obtained and open up a large variety of geological applications,such as continental weathering,hydrothermal circulation and alteration of oceanic crust.Wenjun LI Mengmeng CUI Qiqi PAN Jing WANG Bingyu GAO Shanke LIU Meng YUAN Benxun SU Ye ZHAO Fang-Zhen TENG Guilin HAN 2022Science China Earth Sciences2022,65,8:1

16Plant property regulates soil bacterial community structure under altered precipitation regimes in a semi-arid desert grassland, China显示文摘Variations of precipitation have great impacts on soil carbon cycle and decomposition of soil organic matter.Soil bacteria are crucial participants in regulating these ecological processes and vulnerable to altered precipitation.Studying the impacts of altered precipitation on soil bacterial community structure can provide a novel insight into the potential impacts of altered precipitation on soil carbon cycle and carbon storage of grassland.Therefore,soil bacterial community structure under a precipitation manipulation experiment was researched in a semi-arid desert grassland in Chinese Loess Plateau.Five precipitation levels,i.e.,control,reduced and increased precipitation by 40%and 20%,respectively(referred here as CK,DP40,DP20,IP40,and IP20)were set.The results showed that soil bacterial alpha diversity and rare bacteria significantly changed with altered precipitation,but the dominant bacteria and soil bacterial beta diversity did not change,which may be ascribed to the ecological strategy of soil bacteria.The linear discriminate analysis(LDA)effect size(LEfSe)method found that major response patterns of soil bacteria to altered precipitation were resource-limited and drought-tolerant populations.In addition,increasing precipitation greatly promoted inter-species competition,while decreasing precipitation highly facilitated inter-species cooperation.These changes in species interaction can promote different distribution ratios of bacterial populations under different precipitation conditions.In structural equation model(SEM)analysis,with changes in precipitation,plant growth characteristics were found to be drivers of soil bacterial community composition,while soil properties were not.In conclusion,our results indicated that in desert grassland ecosystem,the sensitive of soil rare bacteria to altered precipitation was stronger than that of dominant taxa,which may be related to the ecological strategy of bacteria,species interaction,and precipitation-induced variations of plant growth characteristics.ZHANG Lihua GAO Han WANG Junfeng ZHAO Ruifeng WANG Mengmeng HAO Lianyi GUO Yafei JIANG Xiaoyu ZHONG Lingfei 2023Journal of Arid Land2023,15,5:0
17The impact of biotic and abiotic factors on the distribution of surface sediment dinoflagellate cyst assemblages on the Nanji Island in the East China Sea显示文摘The dinoflagellate cyst assemblages on the Nanji Island in the East China Sea, are documented at the first time to construct a quantitative overview of the cyst bank from 2014 to 2015. Thirty-four morphotypes from six groups are identified and quantified at eight sampling sites around the island, including a high proportion of potentially toxigenic species(14%). Autotrophic dinocysts constitute 74% of the total cyst counts, which is relatively low(two to thirty-three per millilitre sediment) compared with previous studies in adjacent areas. Scrippsiella trochoidea and Protoperidinium avellana are the most abundant autotrophic and heterotrophic species, respectively. A multivariate analysis is performed to assess associations between dinocysts and abiotic or biotic variables.Differentiation among seasons is evident in the detrended correspondence analysis(DCA) ordination plot, while a spatial pattern is not clearly revealed despite heterogeneity of the hydrodynamic conditions between sampling sites. Soluble reactive phosphate, the ratio of nitrogen to phosphorus concentrations and Karenia mikimotoi bloom are the three factors significantly(P<0.05) related to surface sediment cyst assemblage defined by the canonical correspondence analysis(CCA), highlighting the importance of nutrient regime to a dinocyst distribution in this area.
