| 2 | Resistance status of main malaria vector, Liston (Diptera:Culicidae) to insecticides in a malaria Endemic Area,Southern Iran显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the susceptibility of Anopheles stephensi(An. stephensi) Liston, the main malaria vector in southern Iran, to WHO recommended insecticides. Methods: Larvae of An. stephensi were collected from three different larval habitats in both urban and rural area of Bandar Abbas city and one rural area in Rudan county southern Iran. WHO standard method was used for evaluation of adult and larval mosquito susceptibility. Bendiocarb, permethrin, lambda-cyhalothrin, deltamethrin as insecticide and temephos and chlorpyriphos as larvicide were used at the diagnostic dosages recommended by WHO. Results: Findings of this study showed all larval populations of An. stephensi were completely susceptible to temephos and candidate for resistance to chlorpyriphos. Adult mosquitoes in rural areas of Bandar Abbas city were resistant to pyrethroid and carbamate insecticides. Conclusion: Comparison of the results of this survey with previous studies indicates that the resistance to pyrethroids and carbamates in this malaria endemic region is increasing. Wide use of pesticides in agriculture is certainly effective in increasing resistance. | 4 | Investigation on tribological performance of CuO vegetable-oil based nanofluids for grinding operations显示文摘With ball-bearing and tribofilm lubrication effects,CuO vegetable oil-based nanofluids have exhibited excellent anti-wear and friction reduction properties.In this study,CuO nanofluids were synthesized by a one-step electro discharge process in distilled water containing polysorbate-20 and vegetable oil as a nanoparticle stabilizer and source of fatty-acid molecules in the base fluid,respectively.Pin-on-disk tribotests were conducted to evaluate the lubrication performance of synthesized CuO nanofluids between brass/steel contact pairs under various loadings.Surface grinding experiments under minimum lubrication conditions were also performed to evaluate the effectiveness of the synthesized nanofluids in improving the machining characteristics and surface quality of machined parts.The results of pin-on-disk tests revealed that adding nanofluids containing 0.5%and 1%(mass fraction)CuO nanoparticles to the base fluid reduced the wear rate by 66.7%and 71.2%,respectively,compared with pure lubricant.The lubricating action of 1%(mass fraction)CuO nanofluid reduced the ground surface roughness by up to 30%compared with grinding using lubricant without nano-additives.These effects were attributed to the formation of a lubrication film between the contact pairs,providing the rolling and healing functions of CuO nanoparticles to the sliding surfaces.The micrography of ground surfaces using a scanning electron microscope confirmed the tribological observations. | Mirsadegh Seyedzavvar Hossein Abbasi Mehdi Kiyasatfar Reza Najati Ilkhchi | 2020 | Advances in Manufacturing2020,8,3: | 2 |

| 9 | Effects of rutin on oxidative stress in mice with kainic acid-induced seizure显示文摘OBJECTIVE:Flavonoids are present in foods such as fruits and vegetables.Several studies have demonstrated a relationship between the consumption of flavonoid-rich foods and prevention of human disease,including neurodegenerative disorders.We assessed the effect of rutin(quercetin-3-O-rutinoside)on oxidative stress in kainic acid(KA)-induced seizure.METHODS:Thirty-six BALB/c mice were randomly divided into three groups.In the control group,saline(intra-peritoneal,i.p.)was administered for 7 d,and on the last day,KA(10 mg/kg,i.p.)was injected 30 min after administration of saline.In rutin groups,mice were pretreated with rutin(100 and 200 mg/kg,i.p.)for 7 d,and on the last day,KA(10 mg/kg,i.p.)was injected30 min after administration of rutin.Subsequently,behavioural changes were observed in mice.Lipid peroxidation and oxidative stress were measured respectively in the early and late phases after KA-induced seizures.RESULTS:Seizure scores in the rutin groups were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.01).Furthermore,rutin dose-dependently inhibited the number of wet-dog shakes(WDS)(P<0.05).Malondialdehyde level in the hippocampus of the rutin groups was significantly lower than that in the hippocampus of the control group on days 1 and 21 after KA administration.In the rutin groups,the thiol levels observed on day 1 after KA administration were higher than that in the control group(P<0.01).CONCLUSION:These results indicate that rutin has potential anticonvulsant and antioxidative activities against oxidative stress in KA-induced seizure in mice. | Marjan Nassiri-Asl Taghi Naserpour Farivar Esmail Abbasi Hamid Reza Sadeghnia Mehdi Sheikhi Mina Lotfizadeh Parisa Bazahang | 2013 | Journal of Integrative Medicine2013,11,5: | 1 |

| 13 | Advantages of using gold hollow nanoshells in cancer photothermal therapy显示文摘Lots of studies have been conducted on the optical properties of gold nanoparticles in the first region of near infrared(650 nm–950 nm), however new findings show that the second region of near-infrared(1000 nm–1350 nm) penetrates to the deeper tissues of the human body. Therefore, using the above-mentioned region in photo-thermal therapy(PTT) of cancer will be more appropriate. In this paper, absorption efficiency is calculated for gold spherical and rod-shaped nanoshells by the finite element method(FEM). The results show that the surface plasmon frequency of these nanostructures is highly dependent on the dimension and thickness of shell and it can be adjusted to the second region of near-infrared. A dynamic state estimation algorithm is used based on the Kalman filter theory. The proposed algorithm also successfully detects and identifies sudden load changes in power systems. The method uses three normalized vectors to process errors at each sampling time: normalized measurement residual, normalized Lagrange multiplier, and normalized innovation vector. An IEEE 14-bus test system was used to verify and demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. | 15 | Comparison of chest CT scan findings between COVID-19 and pulmonary contusion in trauma patients based on RSNA criteria:Established novel criteria for trauma victims显示文摘Propose:In this study,we re-assessed the criteria defined by the radiological society of North America(RSNA)to determine novel radiological findings helping the physicians differentiating COVID-19 from pulmonary contusion.Methods:All trauma patients with blunt chest wall trauma and subsequent pulmonary contusion,COVID-19-related signs and symptoms before the trauma were enrolled in this retrospective study from February to May 2020.Included patients(Group P)were then classified into two groups based on polymerase chain reaction tests(Group Pa for positive patients and Pb for negative ones).Moreover,44 patients from the prepandemic period(Group PP)were enrolled.They were matched to Group P regarding age,sex,and trauma-related scores.Two radiologists blindly reviewed the CT images of all enrolled patients according to criteria defined by the RSNA criteria.The radiological findings were compared between Group P and Group PP;statistically significant ones were re-evaluated between Group Pa and Group Pb thereafter.Finally,the sensitivity and specificity of each significant findings were calculated.The Chi-square test was used to compare the radiologica丨findings between Group P and Group PP.Results:In the Group PP,73.7%of all ground-glass opacities(GGOs)and 80%of all multiple bilateral GGOs were detected(p<0.001 and p=0.25,respectively).Single bilateral GGOs were only seen among the Group PP.The Chi-square tests showed that the prevalence of diffused GGOs,multiple unilateral GGOs,multiple consolidations,and multiple bilateral consolidations were significantly higher in the Group P(p=0.001,0.01,0.003,and 0.003,respectively).However,GGOs with irregular borders and single consolidations were more significant among the Group PP(p=0.01 and 0.003,respectively).Of note,reticular distortions and subpleural spares were exclusively detected in the Group PP.Conclusion:We concluded that the criteria set by RSNA for the diagnosis of COVID-19 are not appropriate in trauma patients.The clinical signs and symptoms are not always useful either.The presence of multiple unilateral GGOs,diffused GGOs,and multiple bilateral consolidations favor COVID-19 with 88%,97.62%,and 77.7%diagnostic accuracy. | Hossein Abdolrahimzadeh Fard Salahaddin Mahmudi-Azer Qusay Abdulzahraa Yaqoob Golnar Sabetian Pooya Iranpour Zahra Shayan Shahram Bolandparvaz Hamid Reza Abbasi Shiva Aminnia Maryam Salimi Mohammad Mehdi Mahmoudi Shahram Paydara Roham Borazjani Ali Taheri Akerdi Masome Zare Leila Shayan Mohammadreza Sasani | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Traumatology2022,25,3: | 0 |

| 17 | Simultaneous syngas production with different H_2/CO ratio in a multi-tubular methane steam and dry reformer by utilizing of CLC显示文摘For syngas production, the combustion of fossil fuels produces large amounts of CO2 as a greenhouse gas annually which intensifies global warming. In this study, chemical looping combustion(CLC) has been utilized for the elimination of CO2 emission to atmosphere during simultaneous syngas production with different H2/CO ratio in steam reforming of methane(SR) and dry reforming of methane(DR) in a CLC-SR-DR configuration. In CLC-SR-DR with 184 reformer tubes(similar to an industrial scale steam reformer in Zagros Petrochemical Company, Assaluyeh, Iran), DR reaction occurs over Rh-based catalysts in 31 tubes. Also, SR reaction is happened over Ni-based catalysts in 153 tubes. CLC via employment of Mn-based oxygen carriers supplies heat for DR and SR reactions and produces CO2 and H2O as raw materials simultaneously. A steady state heterogeneous catalytic reaction model is applied to analyze the performance and applicability of the proposed CLC-SR-DR configuration. Simulation results show that combustion efficiency reached 1 at the outlet of fuel reactor(FR). Therefore,pure CO2 and H2O can be recycled to DR and SR sides, respectively. Also, CH4 conversion reached 0.2803 and 0.7275 at the outlet of SR and DR sides, respectively. Simulation results indicate that, 3223 kmol h-1syngas with a H2/CO ratio equal to 9.826 was produced in SR side of CLC-SR-DR. After that, 1844 kmol h-1syngas with a H2/CO ratio equal to 0.986 was achieved in DR side of CLC-SR-DR. Results illustrate that by increasing the number of DR tubes to 50 tubes and considering 184 fixed total tubes in CLC-SR-DR, CH4 conversions in SR and DR sides decreased 2.69% and 3.31%, respectively. However, this subject caused total syngas production in SR and DR sides(in all of 184 tubes)enhance to 5427 kmol h-1. In the present paper, Simpson and Shannon-Wiener diversity indices, Simpson, Camargo, Smith and Wilson, and modified Nee evenness indices, and richness index based on rarefaction method were adopted to study the biodiversity of vespid wasps in spatial and temporal dimensions in northern Zanjan Province of Iran. In spatial dimension, Zanjan and Gilvan showed the highest and the lowest species diversity, evenness, and richness, respectively; while in temporal dimension, 16 July-6 August showed the highest species diversity and richness, and 18 May-27 May and 23 August-2 September showed the highest and the lowest species evenness, respectively.
