2Effect of post-harvest UV-C irradiation and calcium chloride on enzymatic activity and decay of tomato(Lycopersicon esculentum L.)fruit during storage显示文摘Tomato is one of the extensively consumed vegetable crops worldwide. The regular consumption of tomato decreases the incidence of chronic degenerative diseases such as certain types of cancer and cardiovascular diseases. The objective of this study was to find an appropriate method that not only reduces tomatoes decay, but also maintains its post-harvest quality. A factorial experiment based on randomized complete block design with three replications was conducted to evaluate effects of ultraviolet(UV)-C and CaCl_2 applications on tomato during storage. The traits studied included ethylene, polygalacturonase(PG) activity, pectin methyl esterase(PME) activity, firmness, total phenol content, and fungal-induced decay were measured weekly during 35 days of storage. Both UV-C and CaCl_2 treatments had positive effects on tomato quality as compared to control treatment. The 3 and 4.5 k J m^(-2) levels of UV-C and 2% CaCl_2 had positive effects on quality characteristics, respectivly. Fruits treated by UV-C and CaCl_2 had higher phenol and firmness, and less PME activity, PG activity, ethylene production, and decay than the control fruits. In conclusion, increasing in storage duration significantly affected the fruits quality by increasing in ethylene, PME activity, PG activity, decay and decreasing the phenol content and firmness. 3EFFECT OF POLYANILINE AS A SURFACE MODIFIER OF TiO_2 NANO-PARTICLES ON THE PROPERTIES OF POLYVINYL CHLORIDE/TiO_2 NANOCOMPOSITES显示文摘Surface of TiO2 nanoparticles was modified with the in situ chemical oxidative polymerization of aniline. Polyaniline modified TiO2 nanoparticles (PANI-TiO2 ) were characterized with the FT-IR, XRD, SEM and TEM techniques. Results confirmed that PANI was grafted successfully on the surface of TiO2 nanoparticles, therefore agglomeration of nanoparticles decreased dramatically. Polyvinyl chloride nanocomposites filled with 1 wt% 5 wt% of PANI-TiO2 and TiO2 nanoparticles were prepared via the solution blending method. PVC nanocomposites were analyzed with FT-IR, XRD, SEM, TG/DTA, DSC and tensile test techniques. Effect of PANI as surface modifier of nanoparticles was discussed according to the final properties of PVC nanocomposites. Results demonstrated that deposition of PANI on the surface of TiO2 nanoparticles improved the interfacial adhesion between the constituents of nanocomposites, which resulted in better dispersion of nanoparticles in the PVC matrix. 4Antibiotic resistance and carriage class 1 and 2 integrons in clinical isolates of Acinetobacter baumannii from Tehran,Iran显示文摘Objective:To investigate antibiotic resistance and carriage class 1 and 2 integrons in clinical isolates of Acinetobacter baumannii(A.baumannii)from Tehran,Iran.Methods:Antimicrobial susceptibility testing was performed according to the Clinical and Laboratory Standards Institute.The presence of integrons was investigated by PCR using specific primers.Results:Among isolated A.baumannii strains,82%were multidrug resistant,27 samples(54%)were resistant to three or more than three antibiotics and 16 samples(32%)showed resistance to two antibiotics.Integrons were detected from 44 of 50 isolates(88%),with classes 1 and 2 being observed in 42%(21/50)and 82%(41/50)of isolates,respectively.Integron-positive A.baumannii isolates showed higher antibiotic resistance than integron-negative isolates and all showed a multidrug-resistant phenotype.Conclusions:Our findings show that classes 1 and 2 integrons,and especially classes 2 integrons are widely disseminated among A.baumannii strains isolated from Tehran and these structures are playing a major role in the acquisition of multidrug resistance in these strains.So monitoring of drug resistance with investigating carriage class 1 and 2 integrons is very important to plan specific infection control measures due to multidrug resistance A.baumannii in Iran hospitals.Reza Mirnejad Sepideh Mostofi Faramaz Masjedian 2013Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Biomedicine2013,3,2:5
5Effects of aromatherapy with Rosa damascena on nulliparous women's pain and anxiety of labor during first stage of labor显示文摘Background: Reducing labor pain and anxiety is one of the most important goals of maternity care.Objective: This study aimed to assess the effects of aromatherapy with Rosa damascena on pain and anxiety in the first stage of labor among nulliparous women.Design, setting, participants and interventions: This was a randomized clinical trial of 110 nulliparous women. The eligible participants were randomly assigned to two groups of aromatherapy and control in an Iranian maternity hospital. The participants received 0.08 m L of Rosa damascena essence in the aromatherapy group and 0.08 m L of normal saline in the control group, every 30 min. Pain was measured 3 times, once each at three stages of cervical dilation(4–5, 6–7, and 8–10 cm). Anxiety was measured twice,once each at two stages of cervical dilation(4–7 and 8–10 cm). The tools for data collection were the Spielberger anxiety questionnaire, numerical pain rating scale, demographic and obstetric questionnaire,and an observational checklist. Data analyses included the t-test, Mann–Whitney U test and Chi-square test.Main outcome measures: Severity of labor pain and severity of anxiety were used as primary outcome measures. Labor and delivery characteristics(including number of contractions, duration of contractions in second stage, Bishop score, augmentation by oxytocin, Apgar score, and mode of delivery), demographic characteristics, and fertility information were used as secondary outcome measures.Results: Pain severity in the group receiving aromatherapy with R. damascena was significantly lower than in the control group after treatment at each pain assessment(cervical dilation of 4–5, 6–7, and8–10 cm; P < 0.05). Anxiety levels were also significantly lower in the treatment group than in the control group after treatment at each time of measurement(cervical dilation of 4–7 and 8–10 cm; P < 0.05).Conclusion: Aromatherapy with R. damascena reduced the severity of pain and anxiety in the first stage of labor. 6针刺对体外受精结局的影响(英文)显示文摘目的:本研究旨在评价针灸对于体外受精结局的影响。方法:纳入2009-2010年间来Khomeini医院就诊的164名接受试管婴儿辅助生育的妇女。分为针灸组82例,对照组82例。针灸组在取卵当天、取卵后2日和胚胎移植前百会、腰阳关、太冲、内关、三阴交、归来、足三里、合谷以及耳穴内生殖器和神门进行针灸治疗,对照组不接受针灸治疗。比较两组的受孕阳性试验、临床怀孕和保胎能力。结果:针灸组受孕34例(41.5%),对照组21例(25.6%),两组差别有统计学意义(P<0.05);针灸组第五周可见孕囊人数为31例(37.8%),对照组为17例(20.7%),两组差别有统计学意义(P<0.05);12周后怀孕人数针灸组和对照组分别为21(21.6%)and 12(14.6%),两组差别无统计学意义(P>0.05)。结论:针灸可以提高体外受精成功率。Sepideh Peyvandi Samaneh Rokhgireh Nadali Esmaeeli 2016World Journal of Acupuncture-Moxibustion2016,26,3:5
7Application of Rice Husk Biochar for Achieving Sustainable Agriculture and Environment显示文摘This paper critically reviewed the current knowledge and challenges of rice husk biochar(RHB)production and its effects on soil properties,plant growth,immobilization of heavy metals,reduction of nutrient leaching and mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions.The characteristics of RHBs produced at various pyrolysis temperatures were discussed and compared to biochars derived from other agro-industrial wastes.RHBs produced at higher pyrolysis temperatures show lower hydrogen/carbon ratio,which suggests the presence of higher aromatic carbon compounds.The increase of pyrolysis temperature also results in production of RHBs with higher ash content,lower yield and higher surface area.RHB usually has higher silicon and ash contents and lower carbon content compared to biochars derived from other feedstocks at the same pyrolysis conditions.Although it depends on soil type,RHB application can improve soil organic carbon content,cation exchange capacity,available K concentration,bulk density and microbial activity.The effect of RHB on soil aggregation mainly depends on soil texture.The growth of different crops is also enhanced by application of RHB.RHB addition to soil can immobilize heavy metals and herbicides and reduce their bioavailability.RHB application shows a significant capacity in reduction of nitrate leaching,although its magnitude depends on the biochar application rate and soil biogeochemical characteristics.Use of RHB,especially in paddy fields,shows a promising mitigation effect on greenhouse gas(CH4,CO2 and N2O)emissions.Although RHB characteristics are also related to other factors such as pyrolysis heating rate and residence time,its performance for specific applications(e.g.carbon sequestration,pH amendment)can be manipulated by adjusting the pyrolysis temperature.More research is needed on long-term field applications of RHB to fully understand the advantages and disadvantages of RHB as a soil amendment.Hossein Asadi Mohammad Ghorbani Mehran Rezaei-Rashti Sepideh Abrishamkesh Elnaz Amirahmadi Chen Chengrong Manouchehr Gorji 2021Rice science2021,28,4:4

The L1–3 derivatives were found to be efficient ligands in the palladium-catalyzed Suzuki C–C coupling reactions in water. 10Ebola viral disease: a review literature显示文摘Ebola virus is transmitted to people as a result of direct contact with body fluids containing virus of an infected patient. The incubation period usually lasts 5 to 7 d and approximately95% of the patients appear signs within 21 d after exposure. Typical features include fever,profound weakness, diarrhea, abdominal pain, cramping, nausea and vomiting for 3-5days and maybe persisting for up to a week. Laboratory complications including elevated aminotransferase levels, marked lymphocytopenia, and thrombocytopenia may have occurred.Hemorrhagic fever occurs in less than half of patients and it takes place most commonly in the gastrointestinal tract. The symptoms progress over the time and patients suffer from dehydration, stupor, confusion, hypotension, multi-organ failure, leading to fulminant shock and eventually death. The most general assays used for antibody detection are direct IgG and IgM ELISAs and IgM capture ELISA. An IgM or rising IgG titer(four-fold) contributes to strong presumptive diagnosis. Currently neither a licensed vaccine nor an approved treatment is available for human use. Passive transfer of serum collected from survivors of Junin virus or Lassa virus, equine IgG product from horses hypervaccinated with Ebola virus, a 'cocktail'of humanized-mouse antibodies(ZMapp), recombinant inhibitor of factor VIIa/tissue factor,activated protein C, RNA-polymerase inhibitors and small interfering RNA nano particles are among the therapies in development. Preclinical evaluation is also underway for various vaccine candidates. 12Surface Treatment of Inorganic CsPbI_(3) Nanocrystals with Guanidinium Iodide for Efficient Perovskite Light-Emitting Diodes with High Brightness显示文摘The remarkable evolution of metal halide perovskites in the past decade makes them promise for next-generation optoelectronic material.In particular,nanocrystals(NCs)of inorganic perovskites have demonstrated excellent performance for light-emitting and display applications.However,the presence of surface defects on the NCs negatively impacts their performance in devices.Herein,we report a compatible facial post-treatment of CsPbI_(3) nanocrystals using guanidinium iodide(GuI).It is found that the GuI treatment effectively passivated the halide vacancy defects on the surface of the NCs while offering effective surface protection and exciton confinement thanks to the beneficial contribution of iodide and guanidinium cation.As a consequence,the film of treated CsPbI_(3) nanocrystals exhibited significantly enhanced luminescence and charge transport properties,leading to high-performance light-emitting diode with maximum external quantum efficiency of 13.8%with high brightness(peak luminance of 7039 cd m^(−2) and a peak current density of 10.8 cd A^(−1)).The EQE is over threefold higher than performance of untreated device(EQE:3.8%).The operational half-lifetime of the treated devices also was significantly improved with T50 of 20 min(at current density of 25 mA cm^(−2)),outperforming the untreated devices(T50~6 min).Minh Tam Hoang Amandeep Singh Pannu Yang Yang Sepideh Madani Paul Shaw Prashant Sonar Tuquabo Tesfamichael Hongxia Wang 2022Nano-Micro Letters2022,14,4:2
13Breakthrough CO_2 adsorption in bio-based activated carbons显示文摘In this work, the effects of different methods of activation on CO2 adsorption performance of activated carbon were studied. Activated carbons were prepared from biochar, obtained from fast pyrolysis of white wood, using three different activation methods of steam activation, CO2 activation and Potassium hydroxide(KOH) activation. CO2 adsorption behavior of the produced activated carbons was studied in a fixed-bed reactor set-up at atmospheric pressure, temperature range of 25–65°C and inlet CO2 concentration range of10–30 mol% in He to determine the effects of the surface area, porosity and surface chemistry on adsorption capacity of the samples. Characterization of the micropore and mesopore texture was carried out using N2 and CO2 adsorption at 77 and 273 K, respectively.Central composite design was used to evaluate the combined effects of temperature and concentration of CO2 on the adsorption behavior of the adsorbents. The KOH activated carbon with a total micropore volume of 0.62 cm3/g and surface area of 1400 m2/g had the highest CO2 adsorption capacity of 1.8 mol/kg due to its microporous structure and high surface area under the optimized experimental conditions of 30 mol% CO2 and 25°C. 15Analysis of simultaneous effect of water access requirements in Regional Water Corporation ofWest- Azerbaijan and risk factor on cultivation optimal pattern显示文摘In vast farms management,especially in multi-crop cultivation case,planning for a combination of crops cultivation has always been of high importance to achieve the maximum income,by taking into account imposed limitations and the risk of different activities.According to the fact that in traditional models of farm programming because of not attention to risk,its results differ from what farmer do in reality,considering the risk farm programming should be well thought.MOTAD model(Minimization of the Total Absolute Deviation)is a mathematic programming model that enters risk into decision making related to farm activities and provides different programs.A main feature of this model is that the risk is calculated by negative deviation from efficiency amount as total multiplication.In recent years,serious declining of water table problem forced Regional Water Corporation of West-Azerbaijan province to impose limitations for extra water use of wells in order to sustain'Mako,Poldasht'water resources.These limitations result in lowering available water level(The most important input for farming),and create changes in cropping patterns and income level of farmers in this area.The aim of this study is analyzing improved cropping considering water limitations and in risk conditions.Data have been collected from farmers and Agriculture'Jihad'Management of town of Mako for duration of 1387-1388.According to the results of the research,the real cultivation plan that is now being implemented throughout the region carries a high risk and low income.Based on results,if the farmer uses the optimal cultivation pattern during the so-called water access limitation,watermelon harvest will be excluded from the optimal cultivation pattern.Also,alfalfa will enter the cultivation plan with the expected income level of 1067 billion Rials(100 Rials=US$0.01).If the farmer uses improved cropping pattern in limitations in risk it will decrease total income as 171.36 billion Rials,to when the water limitations is not implemented.Sepideh Taghizadeh Hossein Navid Mostafa Jamshidifar Reza Fellegari 2011International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2011,4,3:1
