4RESEARCH ON LASER DIRECT DEPOSITION PROCESS OF Ti-6Al-4V ALLOY显示文摘Laser direct deposition (LDD) of metallic components is an advanced technology of combining CAD/CAM (computer aided design/computer aided manufacturing), high power laser, and rapid prototyping. This technology uses laser beam to melt the powders fed coaxially into the molten pool by the laser beam to fabricate fully dense metallic components. The present article mainly studies the LDD of Ti-6Al-4V alloy, which can be used to fabricate aircraft components. The mechanical properties of the Ti-6Al-4V alloy, fabricated by LDD, are obtained using the tension test, and the oxygen content of used powders and deposited specimens are measured. In the present article, it can be seen that the mechanical properties obtained using this method are higher than the ones obtained by casting, and equal to those got by wrought anneal. One aircraft part has been made using the LDD process. Because of this aircraft part, with sophisticated shape, the effect of the laser scanning track on the internal soundness of the deposited part was discussed.S.Y. Gao Y.Z. Zhang L.K. Shi B.L. Du M.Z. 6INFLUENCE OF PRECIPITATES ON THE TWO WAY SHAPEMEMORY EFFECT显示文摘In this paper by means of TEM and HREM, we found that the presence of r-phase plays the most important role in enabling two way shape memory effect (TWME) to be obtained by the stabilization of stress induced martensite variants (SSIM). This idea is different from the traditional suggestion that strain fields developed by dislocation produced TWME. With prolonged isothermal ageing time, the bainitic tronsforma-tion product α1 precipitated, the amount of γ-phase increased, while the martensite was retained and became less ondered. These factors all reduced TWME. During age-ing, the stacking faults in bainitic product α1 disappeared, which indicated that the bainitic product α1 is a sub-equilibrium phase. The interfaces of α-plates also lost straightness step by step, some plates twisted, bronched and overlapped. Its formation is irreversible in tnorphology and reduces the quantities of martensite. Although the precipitation of r may stabilize some martensite or oppose its growth,α may hinder nucleation of martensite. Thus, it was considered that α-plates were the worst de- stroyed element. These suggestions agreed well with our performance test results in that the transformation temperntures and the amount of TWME changed in the same way with prolonged ageing, firstly increasing and then decreasing after reaching an optimal maximum value.M Liu XM Zhang M.Z. 20STUDY OF MICROSTRUCTURE ON PAN-ACFs PREPARED BY DIFFERENT ACTIVATION METHODS显示文摘Polyacrylonitrile (PAN) -based activated carbon fibers (ACFs) are amorphous graphitic carbon, consisting of sp2 hexagonal carbon layers with different sizes of pores ranging from micropores to macropores. The microstructure, including graphite-like micro-crystal, surface chemistry, pore size distributions and so on, of PAN activated carbon fibers prepared by different activation methods were investigated by element analysis (EA), X-ray diffraction (XRD), X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS), and infrared spectra. The XRD patterns show that PAN-ACFs activated by different methods are of amorphous diffraction characteristic but composed of very small graphitic crystallites. The surface functional groups were analyzed by XPS and FT-JR spectra. The samples activated by air possess relatively abundant oxygen functional groups, and the samples activated by potassium hydroxide possess less oxygen functional groups.
