| 2 | Colonization of periphytic ciliated protozoa on an artificial substrate in mariculture waters with notes on responses to environmental factors显示文摘Colonization of periphytic ciliates and their usefulness for monitoring water quality were evaluated using the glass slide method in two enclosed mariculture ponds used to culture crab larva and in a natural seawater reservoir.The results revealed that(1) the ciliate species composition and colonizing process differed between the culturing ponds and the natural reservoir and(2) the dominant ciliate species showed a greater distribution in terms of both the abundance and the occurrence frequency.This study also demonstrated that structural parameters were strongly related to water conditions.For example,the abundance was positively associated with NO3-N and soluble reactive phosphate(P < 0.05),whereas the species number,species diversity and evenness were negatively correlated with nutrients(e.g.NO3-N and NH3-N) and temperature(P < 0.05).These findings support the evidence that periphytic ciliates are useful bioindicators of water quality in enclosed mariculture ecosystems. | Jiqiu Li Henglong Xu Xiaofeng Lin Weibo Song | 2009 | Progress in Natural Science:Materials International2009,19,10: | 3 |
| 3 | The role of intraoperative electron radiotherapy in centrally located hepatocellular carcinomas treated with narrow-margin (<1 cm) hepatectomy: a prospective, phase 2 study显示文摘Background: Postoperative radiotherapy (RT) is known to play an important role in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinomas (HCCs), but the specific role of intraoperative electron radiotherapy (IOERT) in HCCs remains unclear. The aim of this study was to investigate the safety and efficacy of IOERT in centrally located HCCs treated with narrow-margin (<1 cm) hepatectomy. Methods: This was a single-center, phase 2, prospective non-randomized controlled study, including 268 patients with centrally located HCCs who underwent narrow-margin hepatectomy. The patients were subsequently allocated to the IOERT group (n=59) or to the control group (n=65). The primary outcome of the study was to compare recurrence-free survival (RFS) between the IOERT group and the control group, and the secondary outcome was to compare overall survival (OS) rate between the two groups. Results: Of 268 patients enrolled, a total of 124 were included in the study: 59 in IOERT group, 65 in control group. The 1-, 2-, 3-year RFS rates were 79.3%, 62.1% and 45.8% for patients in the IOERT group, and 47.6%, 28.6%, and 22.9% for patients in the control group, respectively (P=0.025). The 1-, 2-, and 3-year OS rates were 100.0%, 94.9%, and 83.7% for patients in the IOERT group, and 92.3%, 87.5%, and 79.4% for patients in the control group, respectively (P=0.314). Subgroup analysis of MVI (+) patients revealed that RFS and OS are significantly prolonged in the IOERT subgroup as compared to the control, whereas there was no significant difference of RFS and OS between the two groups in MVI (−) patients. Conclusions: IOERT for centrally located HCCs with concurrent narrow-margin hepatectomy was feasible and safe. Statistically better RFS rate was observed in the IOERT group compared to the control group. Subgroup analysis revealed that IOERT was more beneficial for postoperative survival of HCC patients with MVI. | 5 | WHIRLY1 recruits the histone deacetylase HDA15 repressing leaf senescence and flowering in Arabidopsis显示文摘Leaf senescence is controlled by a complex regulatory network in which robustness is ensured by the activity of transcription factors and epigenetic regulators.However,how these coordinate the process of leaf senescence remains poorly understood.We found that WHIRLY1 interacts with Histone Deacetylase(HDA)15,a Reduced Potassium Dependence3(RPD3)/HDA1-type HDA,by using green fluorescent protein-nanotrap-mass spectrum assays.The development-dependent interaction between WHIRLY1 and HDA15 was further confirmed by bimolecular fluorescence complementation assays and co-immunoprecipitation assays in Arabidopsis.Multi-omics genome-wide transcriptome and H3K9 acetylome enrichment analysis showed that HDA15 delays leaf senescence and flowering by repressing the expression of the positive regulators of leaf senescence and flowering,such as LOX2 and LARP1 C,and reducing H3K9 ac levels at these loci;WHIRLY1 and HDA15 co-target to the region near the transcription start site of a subset of nutrient recycling-related genes(e.g.,Glutathione S-transferases 10,non-coding RNA,and photosystem II protein D1 synthesizer attenuator PDIL1-2),as well as WRKY53 and ELF4,and co-repress their expression by removing H3K9 acetylation.Our study revealed a key transcription regulatory node of nutrient recycling and senescence-associated genes involved in leaf senescence and flowering via the recruitment of HDA15 by the single-stranded DNA/RNA-binding protein WHIRLY1. | Dongmei Huang Wei Lan Weibo Ma Rulin Huang Wenfang Lin Mengsi Li Chia-Yang Chen Keqiang Wu Ying Miao | 2022 | Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2022,64,7: | 2 |

| 13 | Flexible, Transparent and Conductive Metal Mesh Films with Ultra‑High FoM for Stretchable Heating and Electromagnetic Interference Shielding显示文摘Despite the growing demand for transparent conductive films in smart and wearable electronics for electromagnetic interference(EMI)shielding,achieving a flexible EMI shielding film,while maintaining a high transmittance remains a significant challenge.Herein,a flexible,transparent,and conductive copper(Cu)metal mesh film for EMI shielding is fabricated by self-forming crackle template method and electroplating technique.The Cu mesh film shows an ultra-low sheet resistance(0.18Ω□^(-1)),high transmittance(85.8%@550 nm),and ultra-high figure of merit(>13,000).It also has satisfactory stretchability and mechanical stability,with a resistance increases of only 1.3%after 1,000 bending cycles.As a stretchable heater(ε>30%),the saturation temperature of the film can reach over 110°C within 60 s at 1.00 V applied voltage.Moreover,the metal mesh film exhibits outstanding average EMI shielding effectiveness of 40.4 dB in the X-band at the thickness of 2.5μm.As a demonstration,it is used as a transparent window for shielding the wireless communication electromagnetic waves.Therefore,the flexible and transparent conductive Cu mesh film proposed in this work provides a promising candidate for the next-generation EMI shielding applications. | Zibo Chen Shaodian Yang Junhua Huang Yifan Gu Weibo Huang Shaoyong Liu Zhiqiang Lin Zhiping Zeng Yougen Hu Zimin Chen Boru Yang Xuchun Gui | 2024 | Nano-Micro Letters2024,16,5: | 0 |
