| 1 | Prevalence of HIV Indeterminate Western Blot Tests and Follow-up of HIV Antibody Sero-Conversion in Southeastern China显示文摘HIV-indeterminate Western blotting(WB)results are typically obtained in WB confirmatory assays,and the number of indeterminate samples may increase with the detection of HIV infections,which will present considerable challenges for the management of HIV/AIDS.Nucleic acid detection has been used as a laboratory test for screening suspected or indeterminate samples.However,the effectiveness of these assays for the differential diagnosis of HIV-indeterminate WB samples remained undetermined.In this study,210 subjects with HIV-indeterminate WB results were detected from 6360 positive HIV screening samples between 2015 and 2016 in southeastern China,in which HIV-indeterminate WB results accounted for 3.30%.The highest proportion of indeterminate results was observed in pregnant and lying-in women receiving physical examinations(16.67%),followed by that in voluntary blood donors(8.82%).The most common WB band patterns were p24,gpl60 and p24,and gpl60.The follow-up study revealed that the highest negative and positive conversion rates of HIV antibodies were in samples with a single p24 band(80.28%),and with gpl60 and p24 bands(86.21%),respectively.Among the Env,Gag,and Pol antibodies,samples with a Gag band showed the highest negative conversion rate(81.25%),whereas the highest positive conversion rate was observed in samples with an Env band(56.76%).In addition,quantitative and qualitative HIV nucleic acid testing exhibited the highest sensitivity(96.3%)and specificity(97.85%),respectively.Our results indicate a lower proportion of HIV indeterminate WB results in southeastern China compared to previous reports,and the follow-up re-examination of patients with HIV indeterminate results should be performed.Nucleic acid testing facilitates the identification of HIV infections. | Shouli Wu Min Gao Jian Zheng Pingping Yan Wei Wang Xiaoli Lu Yuefeng Qiu Yansheng Yan | 2019 | Virologica Sinica2019,34,4: | 15 |

| 3 | Identification of Maximum Road Friction Coefficient and Optimal Slip Ratio Based on Road Type Recognition显示文摘The identification of maximum road friction coefficient and optimal slip ratio is crucial to vehicle dynamics and control.However,it is always not easy to identify the maximum road friction coefficient with high robustness and good adaptability to various vehicle operating conditions.The existing investigations on robust identification of maximum road friction coefficient are unsatisfactory.In this paper,an identification approach based on road type recognition is proposed for the robust identification of maximum road friction coefficient and optimal slip ratio.The instantaneous road friction coefficient is estimated through the recursive least square with a forgetting factor method based on the single wheel model,and the estimated road friction coefficient and slip ratio are grouped in a set of samples in a small time interval before the current time,which are updated with time progressing.The current road type is recognized by comparing the samples of the estimated road friction coefficient with the standard road friction coefficient of each typical road,and the minimum statistical error is used as the recognition principle to improve identification robustness.Once the road type is recognized,the maximum road friction coefficient and optimal slip ratio are determined.The numerical simulation tests are conducted on two typical road friction conditions(single-friction and joint-friction)by using CarSim software.The test results show that there is little identification error between the identified maximum road friction coefficient and the pre-set value in CarSim.The proposed identification method has good robustness performance to external disturbances and good adaptability to various vehicle operating conditions and road variations,and the identification results can be used for the adjustment of vehicle active safety control strategies. | GUAN Hsin WANG Bo LU Pingping XU Liang | 2014 | Chinese Journal of Mechanical Engineering2014,27,5: | 8 |

| 12 | Responses of electrical properties of tea leaves to low-temperature stress显示文摘Critical temperature is one of the most important parameters for the control of crop frost protection through airflow disturbance.It changes with complex weather conditions,thus it is difficult to be determined.A method of testing electrical property of tea leaves under cold stress was put forward to indicate critical temperature.The testing system was established to measure the capacitance,impedance,resistance and reactance of the samples under different air temperatures,air humidities and airflow velocities.The variation of the electrical property was also analyzed.The results show that at humidity below 70%and airflow velocity of 0 m/s the impedance and resistance increased slowly,while the reactance kept steady when air temperature decreased from 8.0°C to around−6.3°C,and then increased rapidly from around−6.3°C to−15.0°C.There were no significant differences of the above parameters and variation trend under different airflow velocities.There was an exponential relationship between the impedance and the temperature.The capacitance was rather small and almost no change occurred with air temperature under different conditions of air velocity and humidity,except a few abrupt peaks.The maximum peak capacitance was representative of its response at certain humidity and airflow velocity.The typical temperatures were close to a range,where the other three parameters began to increase rapidly.The typical temperature dropped to the lowest of−7.8°C at the airflow velocity of 0 m/s.Therefore,the characteristic response of the capacitance could indicate critical temperature of tea leaves. | Lu Yongzong Hu Yongguang Zhang Xiliang Li Pingping | 2015 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,5: | 2 |
| 13 | Novel Evaluation Method of Vehicle Suspension Performance Based on Concept of Wheel Turn Center显示文摘The current research of suspension performance evaluation is mixed in the evaluation of vehicle handling and ride comfort. However, it is lack of a direct and independent evaluation method for suspension performance. In this paper, a novel wheel turn center method is proposed to evaluate the suspension performance. This method is based on the concept and application of wheel turn center(WTC) and sprung mass turn center(SPTC). The vehicle body and each wheel are regarded to be independent rigid bodies and have their own turn centers which reflect respective steering motions and responses. Since the suspension is the link between vehicle body and wheels, the consistence between the sprung mass turn center and the wheel turn center reflects the effect and performance of the suspension system. Firstly, the concept and appropriate calculation method of WTC and SPTC are developed. Then the degree of inconsistence between WTC and SPTC and the time that they achieve consistence, when the vehicle experiences from transient steering to steady steering state, are proposed to evaluate suspension performance. The suspension evaluation tests are conducted under different vehicle velocities and lateral accelerations by using Car Sim software. The simulation results show that the inconsistence of steering motion between vehicle body and wheels are mainly at high speeds and low lateral accelerations. Finally, based on the proposed evaluation indexes, the influences of different suspension characteristic parameters on suspension performance and their matches to improve steering coordination are discussed. | 15 | Comprehensive identification of lysine 2-hydroxyisobutyrylated proteins in Ustilaginoidea virens reveals the involvement of lysine 2-hydroxyisobutyrylation in fungal virulence显示文摘Lysine 2-hydroxyisobutyrylation(Khib) is a newly identified post-translational modification(PTM) that plays important roles in transcription and cell proliferation in eukaryotes. However, its function remains unknown in phytopathogenic fungi. Here,we performed a comprehensive assessment of Khibin the rice false smut fungus Ustilaginoidea virens, using Tandem Mass Tag(TMT)-based quantitative proteomics approach. A total of 3 426 Khibsites were identified in 977 proteins, sugg esting that Khibis a common and complex PTM in U. virens. Our data demonstrated that the2-hydroxyisobutyrylated proteins are involved in diverse biological processes. Network analysis of the modified proteins revealed a highly interconnected protein network that included many well-studied virulence factors. We confirmed that the Zn-binding reduced potassium dependency3-type histone deacetylase(UvRpd3) is a major enzyme that removes 2-hydroxyisobutyrylation and acetylation in U. virens. Notably, mutations of Khib sites in the mitogen-activated protein kinase(MAPK)UvSlt2 significantly reduced fungal virulence and decreased the enzymatic activity of UvSlt2. Molecular dynamics simulations demonstrated that 2-hydroxyisobutyrylation in UvSlt2 increased the hydrophobic solvent-accessible surface area and thereby affected binding between the UvSlt2 enzyme and its substrates.
