1Fecal microbiota transplantation cured epilepsy in a case with Crohn's disease: The first report显示文摘Fecal microbiota transplantation(FMT)is a promising strategy that involves reconstruction of gut microbiota.Recently,it has been considered as a treatment of Crohn’s disease(CD)and certain neurological diseases.Here,to the best of our knowledge,we report the first case that used FMT to achieve remission of intestinal and neurological symptoms in a girl with CD and a 17-year history of epilepsy.During the 20 mo of follow-up,FMT has proved its efficacy in preventing relapse of seizures after withdrawing the antiepileptic drugs.Furthermore,this finding highlights the role of microbiota-gut-brain axis and inspires a novel treatment for epilepsy through remodeling gut microbiota.Zhi He Bo-Ta Cui Ting Zhang Pan Li Chu-Yan Long Guo-Zhong Ji Fa-Ming Zhang 2017World Journal of Gastroenterology2017,23,19:37
2Efficient production of omega-3 fatty acid desaturase (sFat-1)-transgenic pigs by somatic cell nuclear transfer显示文摘Omega-3(ω-3) fatty acid desaturase transgenic pigs may improve carcass fatty acid composition. The use of transgenic pigs is also an excellent large animal model for studying the role of ω-3 fatty acids in the prevention and treatment of coronary heart disease and cancer. Transgenic pigs carrying synthesized fatty acid desaturase-1 gene (sFat-1) from Caenorhabditis briggsae by somatic cell nuclear transfer (SCNT) were produced for the first time in China. Porcine fetal fibroblast cells were transfected with a sFat-1 expression cassette by the liposome-mediated method. Transgenic embryos were reconstructed by nuclear transfer of positive cells into enucleated in vitro matured oocytes. A total of 1889 reconstructed embryos were transferred into 10 naturally cycling gilts. Nine early pregnancies were established, 7 of which went to term. Twenty-one piglets were born. The cloning efficiency was 1.1% (born piglets/transferred embryos). The integration of the sFat-1 gene was confirmed in 15 live cloned piglets by PCR and Southern blot except for 2 piglets. Expression of the sFat-1 gene in 12 of 13 piglets was detected with RT-PCR. 3Synthesis of novel nanomaterials and their application in efficient removal of radionuclides显示文摘With the development of nuclear energy, large amounts of radionuclides are inevitably released into the natural environment. It is necessary to eliminate radionuclides from wastewater for the protection of environment. Nanomaterials have been considered as the potential candidates for the effective and selective removal of radionuclides from aqueous solutions under complicated conditions because of their high specific surface area, large amounts of binding sites, abundant functional groups, pore-size controllable and easily surface modification. This review mainly summarized the recent studies for the synthesis, fabrication and surface modification of novel nanomaterials and their applications in the efficient elimination and solidification of radionuclides,and discussed the interaction mechanisms from batch experiments, spectroscopy analysis and theoretical calculations. 4Protective effect of selenium-enriched lactobacilluson CCI_4-induced liver injury in mice and its possible mechanisms显示文摘AIM: To study the protective effects and mechanisms of Se-enriched lactobacillus on liver injury caused by carbon tetrachloride (CCl4) in mice.MWTHODS: Seventy-two ICR mice were randomly divided into four groups: normal group, CCl4-induced model group,low Se-enriched lactobacillus treatment group (L-Se group),and high Se-enriched lactobacillus treatment group (H-Se group). During a 3-wk experimental period, the common complete diet was orally provided daily for normal group and model group, and the mice in L-Se and H-Se groups were given a diet with 2 and 4 mg of organoselenium from Se-enriched lactobacillus per kg feed, respectively. From the 2nd wk of experiment, the model group, L-Se group,and H-Se group received abdominal cavity injection of olive oil solution containing 500 mL/L CCl4 (0.07 mL/100 g body mass) to induce liver injury, and the normal group was given olive oil on every other day for over 2 wk. In the first 2 wk post injection with CCl4, mice in each group were killed. The specimens of blood, liver tissue, and macrophages in abdominal cavity fluid were taken. Then the activities of the following liver tissue injury-associated enzymes including glutathione peroxidase (GSH-Px), superoxide dismutase (SOD), alanine aminotransferase (ALT) and aspartate aminotransferase (AST) as well as malondialdehyde (MDA) content were assayed. Changes of phagocytic rate and phagocytic index in macrophages were observed with Wright-Giemsa stain. Plasma TNF-α level was measured by radioimmunoassay. The level of intracellular free Ca2+ ([Ca2+]i) in hepatocytes was detected under a laser scanning confocal microscope.RESULTS: During the entire experimental period, the AST and ALT activities in liver were greatly enhanced by CCl4 and completely blunted by both low and high doses of Se-enriched lactobacillus. The Se-enriched lactobacillus-protected liver homogenate GSH-Px and SOD activities were higher or significantly higher than those in model group and were close to those in normal group. CCl4 significantly increased MDA content in liver homogenates, while administration of Se-enriched lactobacillus prevented MDA elevation. Phagocytic rate and phagocytic index of macrophages decreased after CCl4 treatment compared to those in normal control, but they were dramatically rescued by Se-enriched lactobacillus, showing a greatly higher phagocytic function compared to model group. CCl4 could significantly elevate plasma TNF-α and hepatocyte [Ca2+]i level, which were also obviously prevented by Se-enriched lactobacillus.CONCLUSION: Se-enriched lactobacillus can intervene in CCl4-induced liver injury in mice by enhancing macrophage function activity to keep normal and beneficial effects,elevating antioxidant-enzyme activities and reducing lipid peroxidation reaction, inhibiting excessive release of TNF-α,preventing the dramatic elevation of [Ca2+]i in hepatocytes.Long Chen Dao-Dong Pan Juan Zhou Ying-Zi Jiang 2005World Journal of Gastroenterology2005,11,37:19
5Melatonin alleviates intervertebral disc degeneration by disrupting the IL-1β/NF-κB-NLRP3 inflammasome positive feedback loop显示文摘The inflammatory response is induced by the overexpression of inflammatory cytokines, mainly interleukin(IL)-1β, and is one of the main causes of intervertebral disc degeneration(IVDD). NLR pyrin domain containing 3(NLRP3) inflammasome activation is an important source of IL-1β. As an anti-inflammatory neuroendocrine hormone, melatonin plays various roles in different pathophysiological conditions. However, its roles in IVDD are still not well understood and require more examination. First, we demonstrated that melatonin delayed the progression of IVDD and relieved IVDD-related low back pain in a rat needle puncture IVDD model;moreover, NLRP3 inflammasome activation(NLRP3, p20, and IL-1β levels) was significantly upregulated in severely degenerated human discs and a rat IVDD model. Subsequently, an IL-1β/NF-κB-NLRP3 inflammasome activation positive feedback loop was found in nucleus pulposus(NP) cells that were treated with IL-1β. In these cells, expression of NLRP3 and p20 was significantly increased, NF-κB signaling was involved in this regulation, and mitochondrial reactive oxygen species(mt ROS)production increased. Furthermore, we found that melatonin disrupted the IL-1β/NF-κB-NLRP3 inflammasome activation positive feedback loop in vitro and in vivo. Melatonin treatment decreased NLRP3, p20, and IL-1β levels by inhibiting NF-κB signaling and downregulating mt ROS production. Finally, we showed that melatonin mediated the disruption of the positive feedback loop of IL-1β in vivo. In this study, we showed for the first time that IL-1β promotes its own expression by upregulating NLRP3 inflammasome activation. 6Gefitinib plus Fuzheng Kang'ai Formula(扶正抗癌方) in Patients with Advanced Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer with Epidermal Growth Factor Receptor Mutation:A Randomized Controlled Trial显示文摘Objective: To evaluate the effect of Fuzheng Kang'ai Formula(扶正抗癌方, FZKA) plus gefitinib in patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer with epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR) mutations. Methods: A randomized controlled trial was conducted from 2009 to 2012 in South China. Seventy chemotherapynaive patients diagnosed with stage ⅢB/Ⅳ non-small cell lung cancer with EGFR mutations were randomly assigned to GF group [gefitinib(250 mg/day orally) plus FZKA(250 m L, twice per day, orally); 35 cases] or G group(gefitinib 250 mg/day orally; 35 cases) according to the random number table and received treatment until progression of the disease, or development of unacceptable toxicities. The primary endpoint [progression-free survival(PFS)] and secondary endpoints [median survival time(MST), objective response rate(ORR), disease control rate(DCR) and safety] were observed. Results: No patient was excluded after randomization. GF group had significantly longer PFS and MST compared with the G group, with median PFS of 12.5 months(95% CI 3.30–21.69) vs. 8.4 months(95% CI 6.30–10.50; log-rank P<0.01), MST of 21.5 months(95% CI 17.28–25.73) vs. 18.3 months(95% CI 17.97–18.63; log-rank P<0.01). ORR and DCR in GF group and G group were 65.7% vs. 57.1%, 94.3% vs. 80.0%, respectively(P>0.05). The most common toxic effects in the GF group and G group were rash or acne(42.8% vs. 57.1%, P>0.05), diarrhea(11.5% vs. 31.4%, P<0.05), and stomatitis(2.9% vs. 8.7%, P>0.05). 7Clinical role of (18)~F-fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography in post-operative follow up of gastric cancer: Initial results显示文摘AIM: To evaluate the clinical role of 18F-fluorodeo-xyglucose positron emission and computed tomography (18F-FDG PET/CT) in detection of gastric cancer recurrence after initial surgical resection. METHODS: In the period from January 2007 to May 2008, 23 patients who had previous surgical resection of histopathologically diagnosed gastric cancer underwent a total of 25 18F-FDG PET/CT scans as follow-up visits in our center. The standard of reference for tumor recurrence consisted of histopathologic confirmation or clinical follow-up information for at least 5 mo after PET/CT examinations. RESULTS: PET/CT was positive in 14 patients (61%) and negative in 9 (39%). When correlated with final diagnosis, which was confirmed by histopathologic evidence of tumor recurrence in 8 of the 23 patients (35%) and by clinical follow-up in 15 (65%), PET/CT was true positive in 12 patients, false positive in 2, true negative in 8 and false negative in 2. Overall, the accuracy of PET/CT was 82.6%, the negative predictive value (NPV) was 77.7%, and the positive predictive value (PPV) was 85.7%. The 2 false positive PET/CT findings were actually chronic inflammatory tissue lesions. For the two patients with false negativePET/CT, the f inal diagnosis was recurrence of mucinous adenocarcinoma in the anastomosis in one patient and abdominal wall metastasis in the other. Importantly, PET/CT revealed true-positive findings in 11 (47.8%) patients who had negative or no definite findings by CT. PET/CT revealed extra-abdominal metastases in 7 patients and additional esophageal carcinoma in one patient. Clinical treatment decisions were changed in 7 (30.4%) patients after introducing PET/CT into their conventional post-operative follow-up program. 8Combined use of phospholipid complexes and self-emulsifying microemulsions for improving the oral absorption of a BCS class IV compound, baicalin显示文摘The aim of this study was to develop a formulation to improve the oral absorption of baicalin(BA)by combining a phospholipid complex(PC)and self-emulsifying microemulsion drug delivery system(SMEDDS),termed BA–PC–SMEDDS.BA–PC was prepared by a solvent evaporation method and evaluated by complexation percentage(CP).The physicochemical properties of BA–PC were determined.The synergistic effect of PC and SMEDDS on permeation of BA was studied in vitro with Caco-2 cells and in situ with a single pass intestinal perfusion model.The improved bioavailability of BA in BA–PC–SMEDDS was confirmed in an in vivo rat model.The CP of BA–PC reached 100%when the molar ratio of drug to phospholipid(PP)was Z1:1.The solubility of BA–PC increased in both water and octanol,and the log P o/w of BA–PC was increased significantly.BA–PC–SMEDDS could be dispersed more evenly in water,compared to BA and BA–PC.Both the Caco-2 cell uptake and single-pass intestinal perfusion models illustrated that transport of BA in BA–PC was lower than that of free BA,while improved significantly in BA–PC–SMEDDS.The relative bioavailability of BA–PC(1:2)–SMEDDS was 220.37%.The combination system of PC and SMEDDS had a synergistic effect on improving the oral absorption of BA.Huiyi Wu Xiaoying Long Fei Yuan Li Chen Sujing Pan Yunjun Liu Yoshiko Stowell Xiaoling Li 2014Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2014,4,3:14
9Performance analysis of ghost imaging lidar in background light environment显示文摘The effect of background light on the imaging quality of three typical ghost imaging(GI) lidar systems(namely narrow pulsed GI lidar, heterodyne GI lidar, and pulse-compression GI lidar via coherent detection) is investigated. By computing the signal-to-noise ratio(SNR) of fluctuation-correlation GI, our analytical results, which are backed up by numerical simulations, demonstrate that pulse-compression GI lidar via coherent detection has the strongest capacity against background light, whereas the reconstruction quality of narrow pulsed GI lidar is the most vulnerable to background light. 10The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. 11Early initiation renal replacement therapy for fluid management to reduce central venous pressure is more conducive to renal function recovery in patients with acute kidney injury显示文摘Background:Acute kidney injury (AKI) is a serious complication in critically ill patients with septic shock treated in the intensive care unit. Renal replacement therapy (RRT) is a treatment for severe AKI;however, the time of initiation of RRT and factors that affect the recovery of kidney function remains unclear. This study was to explore whether early initiation of RRT treatment for fluid management to reduce central venous pressure (CVP) can help to improve patients5 kidney function recovery. Methods: A retrospective analysis of septic patients who had received RRT treatment was conducted. Patients received RRT either within 12 h after they met the diagnostic criteria of renal failure (early initiation) or after a delay of 48 h if renal recovery had not occurred (delayed initiation). Parameters such as patients5 renal function recovery at discharge, fluid balance, and levels of CVP were assessed. Results: A total of 141 patients were eligible for enrolment: 40.4% of the patients were in the early initiation group (57 of 141 patients), and 59.6% were in the delayed initiation group (84 of 141 patients). There were no significant differences in the characteristics at baseline between the two groups, and there were no differences in 28-day mortality between the two groups (χ^2 = 2.142, P = 0.143);however, there was a significant difference in the recovery rate of renal function between the two groups at discharge (χ^2 = 4.730, P < 0.001). More importantly, early initiation of RRT treatment and dehydration to reduce CVP are more conducive to the recovery of renal function in patients with AKI. 12Detumbling strategy based on friction control of dual-arm space robot for capturing tumbling target显示文摘The rotational motion of a tumbling target brings great challenges to space robot on successfully capturing the tumbling target.Therefore,it is necessary to reduce the target's rotation to a rate at which capture can be accomplished by the space robot.In this paper,a detumbling strategy based on friction control of dual-arm space robot for capturing tumbling target is proposed.This strategy can reduce the target's rotational velocity while maintaining base attitude stability through the establishment of the rotation attenuation controller and base attitude adjustment controller.The rotation attenuation controller adopts the multi-space hybrid impedance control method to control the friction precisely.The base attitude adjustment controller applies the dual-arm extended Jacobian matrix to stabilize the base attitude.The main contributions of this paper are as follows:(1)The compliant control method is adopted to achieve a precise friction control,which can reduce the target angular velocity steadily;(2)The dual-arm extended Jacobian matrix is applied to stabilize the base attitude without affecting the target capture task;(3)The detumbling strategy of dualarm space robot is designed considering base attitude stabilization,realizing coordinated planning of the base attitude and the arms.The strategy is verified by a dual-arm space robot with two 7-DOF(degrees of freedom)arms.Simulation results show that,target with a rotation velocity of 20(°)/s can be effectively controlled to stop within 30 s,and the final deflection of the base attitude is less than 0.15°without affecting the target capture task,verifying the correctness and effectiveness of the strategy.Except to the tumbling target capture task,the control strategy can also be applied to other typical on-orbit operation tasks such as space debris removal and spacecraft maintenance.Gang CHEN Yuqi WANG Yifan WANG Ji LIANG Long ZHANG Guangtang PAN 2020Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2020,33,3:9

14Polyphase orthogonal sequences design for opportunistic array radar via HGA显示文摘Opportunistic array radar(OAR) is a new generation radar system based on the stealth of the platform,which can improve the modern radar performance effectively.Designing the orthogonal code sets with low autocorrelation and cross-correlation is a key issue for OAR.This paper proposes a novel hybrid genetic algorithm(HGA) and designs the polyphase orthogonal code sets with low autocorrelation and cross-correlation properties,which can be used in the OAR system.The novel algorithm combines with simulated annealing(SA) and genetic algorithm(GA),adds in keeping best individuals and competition in small scope,and introduces grey correlation evaluation to evaluate fitness function. 15Effect of Aidi injection plus chemotherapy on gastric carcinoma:a Meta-analysis of randomized controlled trials显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To conduct a Meta-analysis of studies on the effect of Aidi injectioncombined with chemotherapy versus chemotherapy alone in the treatment of gastric cancer(GC).METHODS: Nine electronic databases and six gray literature databases were comprehensively searcheduntil April 20,2013. Two reviewers independently selected and assessed included trialsaccording to the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The risk of bias tool from the Cochrane Handbook version 5.1.0was used to assess trial quality. All calculations were performed using Review Manager 5.0.RESULTS: Thirty-two studies including 1927 participants met the inclusion criteria,most of which were low quality. Compared with chemotherapy alone,Aidi injection plusthe same chemotherapy significantly improved the effective rate [OR = 1.52,95% CI(1.24,1.86),P < 0.0001],clinical beneficial rate [OR = 1.77,95% CI(1.33,2.36),P < 0.0001],and quality of life [OR = 3.02,95% CI(2.39,3.82),P <0.000 01]. There was a significant improvement in nausea and vomiting incidence [OR = 0.34,95%CI(0.24,0.47),P < 0.000 01],diarrhea [OR = 0.47,95%CI(0.33,0.69),P < 0.000 01],leukopenia( 3,0.51),P = 0.05],hemⅢ-ogⅣ)[OR = 0.34,95%CI(0.2lobin decrease(thromⅢ-boⅣ) [OR = 0.42,95%CI(0.18-1.00),P = 0.05],cytopenia(4],and Ⅲ-damⅣ) [OR = 0.46,95%CI(0.22,0.96),P = 0.0age to liver function [OR = 0.36,95%CI(0.24,0.54),P < 0.000 01].CONCLUSION: Aidi injection combined with chemotherapy significantly improved the clinical effect of chemotherapy,reducing the incidence of adverse events. 17Entropy product measure for multipartite pure states显示文摘An entanglement measure for multipartite pure states is formulated using the product of the von Neumann entropy of the reduced density matrices of the constituents. Based on this new measure, all possible ways of the maximal entanglement of the triqubit pure states are studied in detail and all types of the maximal entanglement have been compared with the result of ‘the average entropy’. 18Astaxanthin promotes M2 macrophages and attenuates cardiac remodeling after myocardial infarction by suppression inflammation in rats显示文摘Background:Cardiac remodeling after acute myocardial infarction(AMI)is an important process.The present study aimed to assess the protective effects of astaxanthin(ASX)on cardiac remodeling after AMI.Methods:The study was conducted between April and September 2018.To create a rat AMI model,rats were anesthetized,and the left anterior descending coronary artery was ligated.The rats in the ASX group received 10 mg·kg-1·day-1 ASX by gavage for 28 days.On the 1st day after AMI,but before ASX administration,six rats from each group were sacrificed to evaluate changes in the heart function and peripheral blood(PB)levels of inflammatory factors.On the 7th day after AMI,eight rats from each group were sacrificed to evaluate the PB levels of inflammatory factors and the M2 macrophage count using both immunofluorescence(IF)and flow cytometry(FC).The remaining rats were observed for 28 days.Cardiac function was examined using echocardiography.The inflammatory factors,namely,tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α),interleukin-1β(IL-1β),and IL-10,were assessed using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay.The heart weight/body weight(BW),and lung weight(LW)/BW ratios were calculated,and myocardial fibrosis in the form of collagen volume fraction was measured using Masson trichrome staining.Hematoxylin and eosin(H&E)staining was used to determine the myocardial infarct size(MIS),and TdT-mediated dUTP nick-end labeling staining was used to analyze the myocardial apoptosis index.The levels of apoptosis-related protein,type I/III collagen,transforming growth factorβ1(TGF-β1),metalloproteinase 9(MMP9),and caspase 3 were assessed by Western blotting.Unpaired t-test,one-way analysis of variance,and non-parametric Mann-Whitney test were used to analyze the data.Results:On day 1,cardiac function was worse in the ASX group than in the sham group(left ventricular end-systolic diameter[LVIDs]:0.72±0.08 vs.0.22±0.06 cm,t=-11.38;left ventricular end-diastolic diameter[LVIDd]:0.89±0.09 vs.0.48±0.05 cm,t=-9.42;end-systolic volume[ESV]:0.80[0.62,0.94]vs.0.04[0.03,0.05]mL,Z=-2.89;end-diastolic volume[EDV]:1.39[1.03,1.49]vs.0.28[0.22,0.32]mL,Z=-2.88;ejection fraction[EF]:0.40±0.04 vs.0.86±0.05,t=10.00;left ventricular fractional shortening[FS]rate:0.19[0.18,0.20]%FS vs.0.51[0.44,0.58]%FS,Z=-2.88,all P<0.01;n=6).The levels of inflammatory factors significantly increased(TNF-α:197.60[133.89,237.94]vs.50.48[47.2157.10]pg/mL,Z=-2.88;IL-1β:175.23[160.74,215.09]vs.17.78[16.83,19.56]pg/mL,Z=-2.88;IL-10:67.64[58.90,71.46]vs.12.33[11.64,13.98]pg/mL,Z=-2.88,all P<0.01;n=6).On day 7,the levels of TNF-αand IL-1βwere markedly lower in the ASX group than in the AMI group(TNF-α:71.70[68.60,76.00]vs.118.07[106.92,169.08]pg/mL,F=42.64;IL-1β:59.90[50.83,73.78]vs.151.60[108.4,198.36]pg/mL,F=44.35,all P<0.01,n=8).Conversely,IL-10 levels significantly increased(141.84[118.98,158.36]vs.52.96[42.68,74.52]pg/mL,F=126.67,P<0.01,n=8).The M2 macrophage count significantly increased(2891.42±211.29 vs.1583.38±162.22,F=274.35,P<0.01 by immunofluorescence test;0.96±0.18 vs.0.36±0.05,F=46.24,P<0.05 by flowcytometry test).On day 28,cardiac function was better in the ASX group than in the AMI group(LVIDs:0.50[0.41,0.56]vs.0.64[0.56,0.74]cm,Z=-3.60;LVIDd:0.70[0.60,0.76]vs.0.80[0.740.88]cm,Z=-2.96;ESV:0.24[0.18,0.45]vs.0.58[0.44,0.89]mL,Z=-3.62;EDV:0.76[0.44,1.04]vs.1.25[0.82,1.46]mL,Z=-2.54;EF:0.60±0.08 vs.0.50±0.12,F=160.48;%FS:0.29[0.24,0.31]vs.0.20[0.17,0.21],Z=-4.43,all P<0.01;n=16).The MIS and LW/BW ratio were markedly lower in the ASX group than in the AMI group(myocardial infarct size:32.50±1.37 vs.50.90±1.73,t=23.63,P<0.01,n=8;LW/BW:1.81±0.15 vs.2.17±0.37,t=3.66,P=0.01,n=16).The CVF was significantly lower in the ASX group than in the AMI group:12.88±2.53 vs.28.92±3.31,t=10.89,P<0.01,n=8.The expression of caspase 3,TGF-β1,MMP9,and type I/III collagen was lower in the ASX group than in the AMI group(caspase 3:0.38±0.06 vs.0.66±0.04,t=8.28;TGF-β1:0.37±0.04 vs.0.62±0.07,t=6.39;MMP9:0.20±0.06 vs.0.40±0.06,t=4.62;type I collagen:0.42±0.09 vs.0.74±0.07,t=5.73;type III collagen:0.13±0.02 vs.0.74±0.07,t=4.32,all P<0.01;n=4).Conclusions:ASX treatment after AMI may promote M2 macrophages and effectively attenuate cardiac remodeling by inhibiting inflammation and reducing myocardial fibrosis.Xia Pan Kai Zhang Cheng Shen Xi Wang Long Wang Ya-Yi Huang 2020Chinese Medical Journal2020,,15:8
19Development of a large-scale isolation chamber system for the safe and humane care of medium-sized laboratory animals harboring infectious diseases显示文摘The close phylogenetic relationship between humans and non-human primates makes non-human primates an irreplaceable model for the study of human infectious diseases.In this study,we describe the development of a large-scale automatic multi-functional isolation chamber for use with medium-sized laboratory animals carrying infectious diseases.The isolation chamber,including the transfer chain,disinfection chain,negative air pressure isolation system,animal welfare system,and the automated system,is designed to meet all biological safety standards.To create an internal chamber environment that is completely isolated from the exterior,variable frequency drive blowers are used in the air-intake and air-exhaust system,precisely controlling the filtered air flow and providing an air-barrier protection.A double door transfer port is used to transfer material between the interior of the isolation chamber and the outside.A peracetic acid sterilizer and its associated pipeline allow for complete disinfection of the isolation chamber.All of the isolation chamber parameters can be automatically controlled by a programmable computerized menu,allowing for work with different animals in different-sized cages depending on the research project.The large-scale multi-functional isolation chamber provides a useful and safe system for working with infectious medium-sized laboratory animals in high-level bio-safety laboratories.Xin PAN Jian-cheng QI Ming LONG Hao LIANG Xiao CHEN Han LI Guang-bo LI Hao ZHENG 2010Journal of Zhejiang University-Science B(Biomedicine & Biotechnology)2010,11,10:8
20Insight-HXMT:China's First X-Ray Astronomical Satellite显示文摘The Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope(HXMT) satellite is the first X-ray astronomical satellite in China. Utilizing the 'direct demodulation image reconstruction method', HXMT will perform broad band(1-250 keV) survey of large sky areas in scanning mode, which can result in source detection characterized with high sensitivity and spatial resolution. Point observation is another key working mode of HXMT, and is specified for observations of galactic bright sources like X-Ray Binary(XRB) and others. Additionally, HXMT also has a powerful capability developed for monitoring gamma-ray bursts, which is quite unique in the world due to its energy coverage of 200 keV-3 MeV and largest detection area. The HXMT satellite was launched by a Long March 4 B(LM-4 B) rocket from the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center on June 15, 2017.
