1Future Physics Programme of BESⅢ显示文摘There has recently been a dramatic renewal of interest in hadron spectroscopy and charm physics. This renaissance has been driven in part by the discovery of a plethora of charmonium-like XYZ states at BESⅢ and B factories, and the observation of an intriguing proton-antiproton threshold enhancement and the possibly related X(1835) meson state at BESⅢ, as well as the threshold measurements of charm mesons and charm baryons. We present a detailed survey of the important topics in tau-charm physics and hadron physics that can be further explored at BESⅢ during the remaining operation period of BEPCⅡ. 3Recent Advances in Synthesis of Waterborne Polyurethane and Their Application in Water-based Ink:A Review显示文摘Over the last few years,waterborne polyurethane(WPU) was applied to various fibers,adhesives,primers for metals,caulking materials,emulsion polymerization media,paint additives,defoamers,associate thickeners,pigment pastes,textile dyes and biomaterials,resulting in the increasing enthusiasm of researchers to design and synthesize novel WPU with unique properties.Thus,various processes and raw materials have been developed to prepare WPU.This review gives an overview on the developments of WPU mainly derived from novel polyols,analyzes the potential application in water-based inks and presents the probable future research area about water-based inks.Notably,the poly(ε-caprolactone) and poly(lactic acid) are the versatile materials used in WPU synthesis and supply the potential special performance for preparing WPU.Meanwhile,addition-fragmentation chain transfer(RAFT) polymerization and atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP) processes provide an opportunity to control the chain sequence of WPU and obtain products with the desired performance.Xing Zhou Yan Li Changqing Fang Shujuan Li Youliang Cheng Wanqing Lei Xiangjie Meng 2015Journal of Materials Science & Technology2015,31,7:47

7Clinical characteristics of fatal and recovered cases of coronavirus disease 2019 in Wuhan,China:a retrospective study显示文摘Background:The 2019 novel coronavirus has caused the outbreak of the acute respiratory disease in Wuhan,Hubei Province of China since December 2019.This study was performed to analyze the clinical characteristics of patients who succumbed to and who recovered from 2019 novel coronavirus disease(COVID-19).Methods:Clinical data were collected from two tertiary hospitals in Wuhan.A retrospective investigation was conducted to analyze the clinical characteristics of fatal cases of COVID-19(death group)and we compare them with recovered patients(recovered group).Continuous variables were analyzed using the Mann-WhitneyU test.Categorical variables were analyzed byχ2 test or Fisher exact test as appropriate.Results:Our study enrolled 109 COVID-19 patients who died during hospitalization and 116 recovered patients.The median age of the death group was older than the recovered group(69[62,74]vs.40[33,57]years,Z=9.738,P<0.001).More patients in the death group had underlying diseases(72.5%vs.41.4%,χ2=22.105,P<0.001).Patients in the death group had a significantly longer time of illness onset to hospitalization(10.0[6.5,12.0]vs.7.0[5.0,10.0]days,Z=3.216,P=0.001).On admission,the proportions of patients with symptoms of dyspnea(70.6%vs.19.0%,χ2=60.905,P<0.001)and expectoration(32.1%vs.12.1%,χ2=13.250,P<0.001)were significantly higher in the death group.The blood oxygen saturation was significantly lower in the death group(85[77,91]%vs.97[95,98]%,Z=10.625,P<0.001).The white blood cell(WBC)in death group was significantly higher on admission(7.23[4.87,11.17]vs.4.52[3.62,5.88]×109/L,Z=7.618,P<0.001).Patients in the death group exhibited significantly lower lymphocyte count(0.63[0.40,0.79]vs.1.00[0.72,1.27]×109/L,Z=8.037,P<0.001)and lymphocyte percentage(7.10[4.45,12.73]%vs.23.50[15.27,31.25]%,Z=10.315,P<0.001)on admission,and the lymphocyte percentage continued to decrease during hospitalization(7.10[4.45,12.73]%vs.2.91[1.79,6.13]%,Z=5.242,P<0.001).Alanine transaminase(22.00[15.00,34.00]vs.18.70[13.00,30.38]U/L,Z=2.592,P=0.010),aspartate transaminase(34.00[27.00,47.00]vs.22.00[17.65,31.75]U/L,Z=7.308,P<0.001),and creatinine levels(89.00[72.00,133.50]vs.65.00[54.60,78.75]μmol/L,Z=6.478,P<0.001)were significantly higher in the death group than those in the recovered group.C-reactive protein(CRP)levels were also significantly higher in the death group on admission(109.25[35.00,170.28]vs.3.22[1.04,21.80]mg/L,Z=10.206,P<0.001)and showed no significant improvement after treatment(109.25[35.00,170.28]vs.81.60[27.23,179.08]mg/L,Z=1.219,P=0.233).The patients in the death group had more complications such as acute respiratory distress syndrome(ARDS)(89.9%vs.8.6%,χ2=148.105,P<0.001),acute cardiac injury(59.6%vs.0.9%,χ2=93.222,P<0.001),acute kidney injury(18.3%vs.0%,χ2=23.257,P<0.001),shock(11.9%vs.0%,χ2=14.618,P<0.001),and disseminated intravascular coagulation(DIC)(6.4%vs.0%,χ2=7.655,P=0.006).Conclusions:Compared to the recovered group,more patients in the death group exhibited characteristics of advanced age,pre-existing comorbidities,dyspnea,oxygen saturation decrease,increased WBC count,decreased lymphocytes,and elevated CRP levels.More patients in the death group had complications such as ARDS,acute cardiac injury,acute kidney injury,shock,and DIC.Yan Deng Wei Liu Kui Liu Yuan-Yuan Fang Jin Shang Ling Zhou Ke Wang Fan Leng Shuang Wei Lei Chen Hui-Guo Liu 2020Chinese Medical Journal2020,,11:29
8Endoscopic patterns of gastric mucosa and its clinicopathological significance显示文摘AIM: To explore the correlation of magnifying endoscopic patterns and histopathology, Helicobacter pylori (H pylori) infection of the gastric mucosa.METHODS: Gastric mucosal patterns in 140 patients with chronic gastritis were studied using Olympus GIF-Q240Z magnifying endoscope. Histopathological examination, rapid urease test and Warrthin-Starry staining were taken with biopsy samples from the magnified sites of stomach. The magnifying endoscopic patterns were compared with histopathological results and H pylori detection.RESULTS: The pit patterns of gastric mucosa were classified as types A (round spot), B (short rod), C (branched), D (reticular) and E (villus). The detection rate of chronic atrophic gastritis (CAG) by magnifying endoscopy was 94.3 % (33/35),which was significantly higher than that by routine endoscopy (22.9 %, 8/35) (P<0.01). The pit patterns of 31 cases of intestinal metaplasia (IM) appeared as type E in 18 cases (58.1%), type D in 8 cases (25.8 %) and type C in 5 cases (16.1%). Fourteen out of 18 patients (77.8 %) with complete type (type Ⅰ) of IM appeared as type E of pit patterns, whereas only 4 of 13 (30.8 %) patients with incomplete type (types Ⅱ and Ⅲ) of IM appeared as type E (P<0.05). Collecting venules in the anterior of lower part of gastric corpus were subgrouped into types R (regular), I (irregular) and D (disappeared).H pyloriinfection was found in 12.2 %(9/74),60 %(9/15) and 84.3 %(43/51) cases in these types respectively. 10Xinfeng capsule improves pulmonary function in ankylosing spondylitis patients via NF-κB-iNOS-NO signaling pathway显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To study changes in the nuclear factor-κB p65(NF-κB p65)-inducible nitric oxide synthase(i NOS)-nitric oxide(NO) signaling pathway and the effects of Xinfeng capsules(XFC) in patients with ankylosing spondylitis(AS)METHODS: One hundred twenty patients with AS were randomly divided into an XFC group and a Salazopyrin group. Sixty health subjects were included as a normal control group. In the two treatment groups, pulmonary functional parameters,forced vital capacity(FVC), forced expiratory volume in 1 second(FEV1), maximal voluntary ventilation(MVV), peak expiratory flow(PEF), forced expiratory flow at 25% of forced vital capacity(FEF25),forced expiratory flow at 50% of forced vital capacity(FEF50), and forced expiratory flow at 75% of forced vital capacity(FEF75) were determined. Enzyme linked immunosorbent assays were used for detection of the serum oxidative stress indexes,NF-κB p65, i NOS, NO, reactive oxygen species(ROS), reactive nitrogen species(RNS), malondialdehyde(MDA), superoxide dismutase(SOD), catalase(CAT), total antioxidative capacity(TAOC) and interleukin-4(IL-4), IL-10, IL-1β, and tumor necrosis factor-α(TNF-α) contents. Westergren's method was used for determination of erythrocyte sedimentation rate(ESR). High-sensitivity C-reactive protein(Hs-CRP) was detected with a 7060 full-automatic biochemical analyzer(Hitachi, Japan).RESULTS: The clinical therapeutic effect in the XFC group was significantly superior to that in the Salazopyrin group(P<0.01). Compared with the normal control group, FEV1, MVV, PEF, FEF50, FEF75, SOD, CAT,TAOC, IL-4, IL-10 were significantly lower, and NF-κB p65, i NOS, NO, ROS, RNS, MDA, IL-1β, TNF-α, ESR,and Hs-CRP significantly higher in patients with AS(P<0.01 or P<0.05). Compared with before treatment, FEV1, MVV, PEF, FEF50, FEF75, SOD, CAT, TAOC,IL-4, and IL-10 were significantly increased, and NF-κB p65, i NOS, NO, ROS, RNS, MDA, IL-1β, TNF-α,ESR, CRP, visual analog scales(VAS), Bath ankylosing spondylitis disease active index, Bath ankylosing spondylitis functional index, and Bath ankylosing spondylitis global index significantly decreased in the two treatment groups after treatment(P<0.01 or P<0.05), with significant differences between the XFC and Salazopyrin groups(P<0.01 or P<0.05). Spearman correlation analysis indicated that FEV1, MVV, PEF, FEF50, and FEF75 were positively correlated with SOD, CAT, TAOC, IL-4, and IL-10, and were negatively correlated with NF-κB p65, i NOS,NO, ROS, RNS, MDA, IL-1β, TNF-α, ESR, and CRP.CONCLUSION: Patients with AS have local pathologic changes in the spinal cord and other joints.They also have decreased pulmonary function,which is negatively correlated with the NF-κB-i NOS-NO signaling pathway, oxidative indexes, and inflammatory factors. XFC improves rigidity and pain in spinal joints and other symptoms, laboratory indexes, and pulmonary function. 11Recent advances in biosynthesis of bioactive compounds in traditional Chinese medicinal plants显示文摘Plants synthesize and accumulate large amount of specialized(or secondary) metabolites also known as natural products, which provide a rich source for modern pharmacy. In China, plants have been used in traditional medicine for thousands of years. Recent development of molecular biology, genomics and functional genomics as well as high-throughput analytical chemical technologies has greatly promoted the research on medicinal plants. In this article, we review recent advances in the elucidation of biosynthesis of specialized metabolites in medicinal plants,including phenylpropanoids, terpenoids and alkaloids. These natural products may share a common upstream pathway to form a limited numbers of common precursors, but are characteristic in distinct modifications leading to highly variable structures. Although this review is focused on traditional Chinese medicine, other plants with a great medicinal interest or potential are also discussed. 12The Reference Genome Sequence of Scutellaria baicalensis Provides Insights into the Evolution of Wogonin Biosynthesis显示文摘Scutellaria baicalensis Georgi is important in Chinese traditional medicine where preparations of dried roots,'Huang Qin,' are used for liver and lung complaints and as complementary cancer treatments. We report a high-quality reference genome sequence for S. baicalensis where 93% of the 408.14-Mb genome has been assembled into nine pseudochromosomes with a super-N50 of 33.2 Mb. Comparison of this sequence with those of closely related species in the order Lamiales, sesamum indicum and Salvia splendens,revealed that a specialized metabolic pathway for the synthesis of 4'-deoxyflavone bioactives evolved in the genus Scu-tellaria. We found that the gene encoding a specific cinnamate coenzyme A ligase likely obtained its newfunc- tion following recent mutations, and that four genes encoding enzymes in the 4'-deoxyflavone pathway are present as tandem repeats in the genome of S. baicalensis. Further analyses revealed that gene duplications, segmental duplication, gene amplification, and point mutations coupled to gene neo- and subfunctionaliza-tions were involved in the evolution of 4'-deoxyflavone synthesis in the genus Scutellaria. Our study not only provides significant insight into the evolution of specific flavone biosynthetic pathways in the mint family, Lamiaceae, but also will facilitate the development of tools for enhancing bioactive productivity by metabolic engineering in microbes or by molecular breeding in plants. 13Ion adsorption components in liquid/solid systems显示文摘Experiments on Zn2+ and Cd2+ adsorptions on vermiculite in aqueous solutions were conducted to investigate the widely observed adsorbent concentration effect on the traditionally defined adsorption isotherm in the adsorbate range 25—500 mg/L and adsorbent range 10—150 g/L. The results showed that the equilibrium ion adsorption density did not correspond to a unique equilibrium ion concentration in liquid phase. Three adsorbate/adsorbent ratios, the equilibrium adsorption density, the ratio of equilibrium adsorbate concentration in liquid phase to adsorbent concentration, and the ratio of initial adsorbate concentration to adsorbent concentration, were found to be related with unique values in the tested range. Based on the assumption that the equilibrium state of a liquid/solid adsorption system is determined by four mutually related components: adsorbate in liquid phase, adsorbate in solid phase, uncovered adsorption site and covered adsorption site, and that the equilibrium chemical potentials of these components should be equalized, a new model was presented for describing ion adsorption isotherm in liquid/solid systems. 14Soil contamination with antibiotics in a typical peri-urban area in eastern China: Seasonal variation, risk assessment, and microbial responses显示文摘The prevalence and persistence of antibiotics in soils has become an emerging environmental issue and an increasing threat to soil security and global public health. The problem is more severe in areas undergoing rapid urbanization; however, the ecological risks of antibiotics,seasonal variability, and associated soil microbial responses in peri-urban soils have not been well-explored. The seasonal soil sampling campaigns were conducted in a typical peri-urban watershed in eastern China to investigate distribution of antibiotics. The results demonstrated higher mean concentrations of most antibiotic compounds in winter than in summer in periurban soils. The seasonal variations of norfloxacin, enrofloxacin, and ciprofloxacin were more significant than those of other antibiotics, due to their higher migration ability and bioavailability.An ecological risk assessment demonstrated that chlortetracycline, ciprofloxacin, doxycycline,and ofloxacin can pose high risks to soil microorganisms. Furthermore, the coexistence of multiple antibiotics obviously poses higher risks than individual compounds. A redundancy analysis demonstrated that tetracyclines mainly showed negative correlations with Firmicutes and Chloroflexi, and quinolones showed obviously negative correlations with Acidobacteria,Gemmatimonadetes, and Nitrospirae, suggesting potential inhibition from antibiotics on biological activities or biodegradation processes. However, the persistence of antibiotics in soil results in a significant decrease in bacterial diversity and a change in dominant species.Our results provide an overview of the seasonal variability of antibiotics and the associated effects on bacterial communities in peri-urban soils. 16Polysaccharides from Angelica sinensis alleviate neuronal cell injury caused by oxidative stress显示文摘Angelica sinensis has antioxidative and neuroprotective effects. In the present study, we aimed to determine the neuroprotective effect of polysaccharides isolated from Angelica sinensis. In a preliminary experiment, Angelica sinensis polysaccharides not only protected PC12 neuronal cells from H 2 O 2-induced cytotoxicity, but also reduced apoptosis and intracellular reactive oxygen species levels, and increased the mitochondrial membrane potential induced by H 2 O 2 treatment. In a rat model of local cerebral ischemia, we further demonstrated that Angelica sinensis polysaccharides enhanced the antioxidant activity in cerebral cortical neurons, increased the number of microvessels, and improved blood flow after ischemia.
