1Mechanism of vertical crack formation in Yb_(2)SiO_(5) coatings deposited via plasma spray-physical vapor deposition显示文摘Plasma spray-physical vapor deposition(i.e.,PS-PVD)is a promising method for obtaining advanced environmental barrier coatings(EBCs).The EBCs must meet some requirements in the application,in which the thermal cycle performance affects the service lifetime.The preparation of artificial vertical cracks in Yb_(2)SiO_(5) coatings is an effective approach for meeting the requirements above because vertical cracks provide a strain tolerance.To clarify the formation mechanism of vertical cracks during the PSPVD,the effects of coating thickness and substrate temperature on the formation of vertical cracks were investigated.In addition,the interactions of spray powder and plasma flame during coating deposition were also characterized by optical spectroscopy.It is indicated that vertical cracks are formed due to a thermal expansion mismatch between Yb_(2)SiO_(5) and mullite coating,transient cooling after deposition and the nucleation of evaporated Yb_(2)SiO_(5) as well.Xiaofeng Zhang Chao Wang Ruijun Ye Chunming Deng Xinghua Liang Ziqian Deng Shaopeng Niu Jinbing Song Guo Liu Min Liu Kesong Zhou Jian Lu Junli Feng 2020Journal of Materiomics2020,6,1:6

3Severity of early allograft dysfunction following donation after circulatory death liver transplantation:a multicentre study显示文摘Background:Early allograft dysfunction(EAD)is associated with decreased graft and patient survival rates.This study aimed to identify the severity of EAD and develop a predictive model for EAD after donation after circulatory death(DCD)liver transplantation(LT).Furthermore,the influence of operative time on EAD incidence was also evaluated.Methods:In this retrospective,multicentre cohort study,nomograms were established based on a single-centre training cohort(n=321)and validated in a 3-center validation cohort(n=501).Results:The incidence rate of EAD was 46.4%(149/321)in the training cohort and 40.5%(203/501)in the validation cohort.Of the 149 EAD patients in the training cohort,77 patients with either elevated alanine aminotransferase(ALT)or aspartate aminotransferase(AST)were classified as having EAD type A,and the rest of the EAD patients were classified as having EAD type B.Recipients with EAD type B had lower graft and patient survival rates than recipients with EAD type A(P=0.043 and 0.044,respectively).We further developed a nomogram to predict EAD(graft weight,cold ischemia time,donor age,model for end-stage liver disease(MELD)score)and another nomogram to predict EAD type B(graft weight,cold ischemia time,MELD score).The nomograms for the prediction of EAD and EAD type B had good discrimination[concordance index(C-index)=0.712(0.666-0.758),0.707(0.641-0.773)]and calibration[Hosmer-Lemeshow(HL)P=0.384,P=0.425]in the validation cohort.An increased operative time(>6 h)was associated with increased EAD and EAD type B incidence in the high-risk group(P=0.005,P=0.020,respectively).Conclusions:EAD type B was associated with decreased graft and patient survival rates.The novel nomograms effectively predicted the incidence of EAD and EAD type B in DCD LT patients.Kun Wang Di Lu Yuhui Liu Wangyao Li Li Zhuang Zhenyu Ma Qinfen Xie Binhua Pan Yichao Wu Junli Chen Lidan Lin Xiaowen Feng Qiang Wei Xuyong Wei Haiyang Xie Zhengxin Wang Shusen Zheng Xiao Xu 2021Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2021,10,1:4

9Factors contributing to rapid decline of Arctic sea ice in autumn显示文摘Autumn Arctic sea ice has been declining since the beginning of the era of satellite sea ice observations.In this study,we examined the factors contributing to the decline of autumn sea ice concentration.From the Beaufort Sea to the Barents Sea,autumn sea ice concentration has decreased considerably between 1982 and 2020,and the rates of decline were the highest around the Beaufort Sea.We calculated the correlation coefficients between sea ice extent(SIE)anomalies and anomalies of sea surface temperature(SST),surface air temperature(SAT)and specific humidity(SH).Among these coefficients,the largest absolute value was found in the coefficient between SIE and SAT anomalies for August to October,which has a value of−0.9446.The second largest absolute value was found in the coefficient between SIE and SH anomalies for September to November,which has a value of−0.9436.Among the correlation coefficients between SIE and SST anomalies,the largest absolute value was found in the coefficient for August to October,which has a value of−0.9410.We conducted empirical orthogonal function(EOF)analyses of sea ice,SST,SAT,SH,sea level pressure(SLP)and the wind field for the months where the absolute values of the correlation coefficient were the largest.The first EOFs of SST,SAT and SH account for 39.07%,63.54%and 47.60%of the total variances,respectively,and are mainly concentrated in the area between the Beaufort Sea and the East Siberian Sea.The corresponding principal component time series also indicate positive trends.The first EOF of SLP explains 41.57%of the total variance.It is mostly negative in the central Arctic.Over the Beaufort,Chukchi and East Siberian seas,the zonal wind weakened while the meridional wind strengthened.Results from the correlation and EOF analyses further verified the effects of the ice-temperature,ice-SH and ice-SLP feedback mechanisms in the Arctic.These mechanisms accelerate melting and decrease the rate of formation of sea ice.In addition,stronger meridional winds favor the flow of warm air from lower latitudes towards the polar region,further promoting Arctic sea ice decline.LI Shuyao CUI Hongyan XU Junli GONG Xiang QIAO Fangli YANG Yanzhao WANG Ping HAN Yuqun SHAN Feng 2021Advances in Polar Science2021,32,2:1

15Magnetic Fe_(2)P Nanowires and Fe_(2)P@C Core@Shell Nanocables显示文摘We report the synthesis of one-dimensional(1-D)magnetic Fe_(2)P nanowires and Fe_(2)P@C core@shell nanocables by the reactions of triphenylphosphine(PPh_(3))with Fe powder(particles)and ferrocene(Fe(C_(5)H_(5))_(2)),respectively,in vacuum-sealed ampoules at 380-400℃.The synthesis is based on chemical conversion of micrometer or nanometer sized Fe particles into Fe_(2)P via the extraction of phosphorus from liquid PPh_(3) at elevated temperatures.In order to control product diameters,a convenient sudden-temperature-rise strategy is employed,by means of which diameter-uniform Fe_(2)P@C nanocables are prepared from the molecular precursor Fe(C_(5)H_(5))2.In contrast,this strategy gives no obvious control over the diameters of the Fe_(2)P nanowires obtained using elemental Fe as iron precursor.The formation of 1-D Fe_(2)P nanostructures is ascribed to the cooperative effects of the kinetically induced anisotropic growth and the intrinsically anisotropic nature of hexagonal Fe_(2)P crystals.The resulting Fe_(2)P nanowires and Fe_(2)P@C nanocables display interesting ferromagnetic-paramagnetic transition behaviors with blocking temperatures of 230 and 268 K,respectively,significantly higher than the ferromagnetic transition temperature of bulk Fe_(2)P(TC=217 K).Junli Wang Qing Yang Jun Zhou Kewen Sun Zude Zhang Xiaoming Feng Tanwei Li 2010Nano Research2010,3,3:0

17NEW INSIGHTS INTO THE PHYLOGENY AND SPECIATION OF KUMQUAT (FORTUNELLA SPP.) 18Separation of chitin from shrimp shells enabled by transition metal salt aqueous solution and ionic liquid显示文摘Chitin is a widely used important industrial polymer mainly from shrimp shells, but its commercial preparation is under the great challenge of serious pollution due to the requirement of HCl and Na OH.Herein, we demonstrated that high purity chitin can be obtained from waste shrimp shells(WSSs) by cascade separation with transition metal salt aqueous solution and ionic liquid(IL). Firstly, calcium carbonate of WSSs was effectively removed in the metal salt aqueous solution driven by the ion exchange interaction. Subsequently, 1-butyl-3-methylimidazolium chloride([Bmim]Cl) had bifunctional abilities to remove residual protein and introduced metal salts simultaneously by hydrogen bonding and coordination interactions. The key experimental factors affecting the separation process were systematically studied, including the type of metal salts, temperature, and [Bmim]Cl loading. After sequential treatment with a 20%(mass) Ni SO4aqueous solution at 130 ℃ and [Bmim]Cl at 150 ℃, the purity of a-chitin can be up to 96.5%(mass) that meets commercial requirements. 20Thermal runaway propagation behavior of the Cell-to-Pack battery system显示文摘Structurally compact battery packs significantly improve the driving range of electric vehicles.Technologies like Cell-to-Pack increase energy density by 15%-20%.However,the safety implications of multiple tightly-packed battery cells still require in-depth research.This paper studies thermal runaway propagation behavior in a Cell-to-Pack system and assesses propagation speed relative to other systems.The investigation includes temperature response,extent of battery damage,pack structure deformation,chemical analysis of debris,and other considerations.Results suggest three typical patterns for the thermal runaway propagation process:ordered,disordered,and synchronous.The synchronous propagation pattern displayed the most severe damage,indicating energy release is the largest under the synchronous pattern.This study identifies battery deformation patterns,chemical characteristics of debris,and other observed factors that can both be applied to identify the cause of thermal runaway during accident investigations and help promote safer designs of large battery packs used in large-scale electric energy storage systems.Huaibin Wang Qinzheng Wang Zhenyang Zhao Changyong Jin Chengshan Xu Wensheng Huang Zhuchen Yuan Shuyu Wang Yang Li Yanhong Zhao Junli Sun Xuning Feng 2023Journal of Energy Chemistry2023,,9:0
