1Controlled attenuation parameter for non-invasive assessment of hepatic steatosis in Chinese patients显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the performance of a novel non-invasive controlled attenuation parameter(CAP)to assess liver steatosis.METHODS:This was a multi-center prospective cohort study.Consecutive patients(aged≥18 years)who had undergone percutaneous liver biopsy and CAP measurement were recruited from three Chinese liver centers.Steatosis was categorized as S0:<5%;S1:5%-33%;S2:34%-66%;or S3:≥67%,according to the nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD)activity score.The FibroScan?502 equipped with the M probe(Echosens,Paris,France)was used to capture both CAP and liver stiffness measurement values simultaneously.Receiver operating characteristic curves were plotted,and the areas under the curves were calculated to determine the diagnostic efficacy.The accuracy of the CAP values at the optimal thresholds was defined by maximizing the sum of sensitivity and specificity(maximum Youden index).RESULTS:A total of 152 patients were recruited,including 52(34.2%)patients with NAFLD and 100(65.8%)with chronic hepatitis B(CHB)virus infection.After adjustment,the steatosis grade(OR=37.12;95%CI:21.63-52.60,P<0.001)and body mass index(BMI,OR=6.20;95%CI:2.92-9.48,P<0.001)were found independently associated with CAP by multivariate linear regression analysis.CAP was not influenced by inflammation,fibrosis or aetiology.The median CAP values and interquartile ranges among patients with S0,S1,S2 and S3 steatosis were 211(181-240)dB/m,270(253-305)dB/m,330(302-360)dB/m,and 346(313-363)dB/m,respectively.The cut-offs for the CAP values in all patients with steatosis≥5%,≥34%and≥67%were 253 dB/m,285 dB/m and 310 dB/m,respectively.The areas under the curves were 0.92,0.92and 0.88 for steatosis≥5%,≥34%and≥67%,respectively.No significant differences were found in the CAP values between the NAFLD group and the CHB group in each steatosis grade.CONCLUSION:CAP appears to be a promising tool for the non-invasive detection and quantification of hepatic steatosis,but is limited by BMI.Feng Shen Rui-Dan Zheng Yu-Qiang Mi Xiao-Ying Wang Qin Pan Guang-Yu Chen Hai-Xia Cao Ming-Li Chen Liang Xu Jian-Neng Chen Yi Cao Rui-Nan Zhang Lei-Ming Xu Jian-Gao Fan 2014World Journal of Gastroenterology2014,20,16:55
2Waist Circumference Reference Values for Screening Cardiovascular Risk Factors in Chinese Children and Adolescents显示文摘Objectives To explore the optimal threshold values of waist circumference(WC)for detecting cardiovascular(CV)risk factors among Chinese children and adolescents.Methods Association of WC with CV risk factors was studied among 65 898 children aged 7-18 years whose data were pooled from nine previous studies in China.CV risk factors in this study included hypertension(blood pressure above 95 percentile levels),dyslipidemia(with one or more of the following three indexes:TG≥1.7 mmol/L,TC≥5.18 mmol/L,and HDL-C≤1.04 mmol/L)and elevated glucose level(fasting plasma glucose ≥5.6 mmol/L).Receive-operating characteristic analysis(ROC)and logistic regression were employed to derive optimal age-and sex-specific waist circumference references for predicting CV risk factors.Results A slight increasing trend of CV risk factors was observed starting from the 75th percentile of waist circumference in the study population,while a remarkable increasing trend occurred from the 90th percentile.The optimal waist circumference thresholds for predicting high blood pressures were at the 75th percentile for both boys and girls,which was at the 90th percentiles for detecting at least two of the above three CV risk factors.In comparison with children with waist circumference below the 75th percentile,the odds ratio of two CV risk factors doubled among children with waist circumference between the 75th and the 90th percentile,and increased by 6 times among children with waist circumference above the 90th percentile.The trend of high blood pressure increasing with waist circumference remained significant after having been stratified by BMI category.Conclusion The 75th and the 90th percentiles of WC are the optimal cut-off points for predicting an increased and a substantially increased risk of CV factors in Chinese children and adolescents,respectively.GUAN-SHENG MA CHENG-YE JI JUN MA JIE MI R1TA YT SLING FENG XIONG WEI-LI YAN XIAO-QI HU YAN-PING LI SONG-M1NG DU HONG-YUN FANG AND J1NG-XIONG JIANG 2010Biomedical and Environmental Sciences2010,23,1:25
3Causes associated with recurrent choledocholithiasis following therapeutic endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography: A large sample sized retrospective study显示文摘BACKGROUND Recurrence of primary choledocholithiasis commonly occurs after complete removal of stones by therapeutic endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography(ERCP). The potential causes of the recurrence of choledocholithiasis after ERCP are unclear.AIM To analyze the potential causes of the recurrence of choledocholithiasis after ERCP.METHODS The ERCP database of our medical center for the period between January 2007 and January 2016 was retrospectively reviewed, and information regarding eligible patients who had choledocholithiasis recurrence was collected. A 1:1 case-control study was performed for this investigation. Data including general characteristics of the patients, past medical history, ERCP-related factors,common bile duct(CBD)-related factors, laboratory indicators, and treatment was analyzed by univariate and multivariate logistic regression analysis and KaplanMeier analysisly.RESULTS First recurrence of choledocholithiasis occurred in 477 patients; among these patients, the second and several instance(≥ 3 times) recurrence rates were 19.5%and 44.07%, respectively. The average time to first choledocholithiasis recurrence was 21.65 mo. A total of 477 patients who did not have recurrence were selected as a control group. Multivariate logistic regression analysis showed that age > 65 years(odds ratio [OR] = 1.556; P = 0.018), combined history of choledocholithotomy(OR = 2.458; P < 0.01), endoscopic papillary balloon dilation(OR = 5.679; P = 0.000), endoscopic sphincterotomy(OR = 3.463; P = 0.000), CBD stent implantation(OR = 5.780; P = 0.000), multiple ERCP procedures(≥2; OR =2.75; P = 0.000), stones in the intrahepatic bile duct(OR = 2.308; P = 0.000),periampullary diverticula(OR = 1.627; P < 0.01), choledocholithiasis diameter ≥10 mm(OR = 1.599; P < 0.01), bile duct-duodenal fistula(OR = 2.69; P < 0.05),combined biliary tract infections(OR = 1.057; P < 0.01), and no preoperative antibiotic use(OR = 0.528; P < 0.01) were independent risk factors for the recurrence of choledocholithiasis after ERCP.CONCLUSION Patient age greater than 65 years is an independent risk factor for the development of recurrent choledocholithiasis following ERCP, as is history of biliary surgeries, measures during ERCP, and prevention of postoperative complications.Feng Deng Mi Zhou Ping-Ping Liu Jun-Bo Hong Guo-Hua Li Xiao-Jiang Zhou You-Xiang Chen 2019World Journal of Clinical Cases2019,7,9:26
4Portosplenomesenteric vein thrombosis in patients with early-stage severe acute pancreatitis显示文摘AIM To investigate the incidence and risk factors of portosplenomesenteric vein thrombosis(PSMVT) in the early stage of severe acute pancreatitis(SAP).METHODS Patients with SAP in a tertiary care setting from January 2014 to December 2016 were retrospectively reviewed. All contrast-enhanced computed tomography(CT) studies were reassessed and reviewed. Clinical outcome measures were compared between SAP patients with and without PSMVT in the early stage of the disease. Univariate and multivariate logistic regression analyses were sequentially performed to assess potential risk factors for the development of PSMVT in SAP patients. A receiver operating characteristic(ROC) curve was generated for the qualifying independent risk factors.RESULTS Twenty-five of the one hundred and forty(17.86%) SAP patients developed PSMVT 6.19 ± 2.43 d after acute pancreatitis(AP) onset. PSMVT was confirmed by contrast-enhanced CT. Multivariate stepwise logistic regression analyses showed that Balthazar's CT severity index(CTSI) scores [odds ratio(OR): 2.742; 95% confidence interval(CI): 1.664-4.519; P = 0.000], hypoalbuminemia(serum albumin level < 25 g/L)(OR: 32.573; 95%CI: 2.711-391.353; P = 0.006) and gastrointestinal wall thickening(OR: 4.367, 95%CI: 1.218-15.658; P = 0.024) were independent risk factors for PSMVT developed in patients with SAP. 5The global significance of biodiversity science in China: an overview显示文摘Biodiversity science in China has seen rapid growth over recent decades,ranging from baseline biodiversity studies to understanding the processes behind evolution across dynamic regions such as the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau.We review research,including species catalogues;biodiversity monitoring;the origins,distributions,maintenance and threats to biodiversity;biodiversity-related ecosystem function and services;and species and ecosystems'responses to global change.Next,we identify priority topics and offer suggestions and priorities for future biodiversity research in China.These priorities include(i)the ecology and biogeography of the Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau and surrounding mountains,and that of subtropical and tropical forests across China;(ii)marine and inland aquatic biodiversity;and(iii)effective conservation and management to identify and maintain synergies between biodiversity and socio-economic development to fulfil China's vision for becoming an ecological civilization.In addition,we propose three future strategies:(i)translate advanced biodiversity science into practice for biodiversity conservation;(ii)strengthen capacity building and application of advanced technologies,including high-throughput sequencing,genomics and remote sensing;and(iii)strengthen and expand international collaborations.Based on the recent rapid progress of biodiversity research,China is well positioned to become a global leader in biodiversity research in the near future.Xiangcheng Mi Gang Feng Yibo Hu Jian Zhang Lei Chen Richard T.Corlett Alice C.Hughes Stuart Pimm Bernhard Schmid Suhua Shi Jens-Christian Svenning Keping Ma 2021National Science Review2021,8,7:16
6Linked PNPLA3 polymorphisms confer susceptibility to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis and decreased viral load in chronic hepatitis B显示文摘AIM:To investigate the association of PNPLA3 polymorphisms with concurrent chronic hepatitis B(CHB) and nonalcoholic fatty liver disease(NAFLD).METHODS:A cohort of Han patients with biopsyproven CHB,with or without NAFLD(CHB group,n = 51;CHB + NAFLD group,n = 57),and normal controls(normal group,n = 47) were recruited from Northern(Tianjin),Central(Shanghai),and Southern(Zhangzhou) China.Their PNPLA3 polymorphisms were genotyped by gene sequencing.The association between PNPLA3 polymorphisms and susceptibility to NAFLD,and clinical characteristics of NAFLD were evaluated on the basis of physical indices,liver function tests,glycolipid metabolism,and histopathologic scoring.The association of PNPLA3 polymorphisms and hepatitis B virus(HBV) load was determined by the serum level of HBV DNA.RESULTS:After adjusting for age,sex,and body mass index,we found that four linked single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) of PNPLA3,including the rs738409 G allele(CHB + NAFLD group vs CHB group:odds ratio[OR]= 2.77,95%confidence interval[CI]:1.18-6.54;P = 0.02),rs3747206 T allele(CHB+ NAFLD group vs CHB group:OR = 2.77,95%CI:1.18-6.54;P = 0.02),rs4823173 A allele(CHB +NAFLD group vs CHB group:OR = 2.73,95%CI:1.16-6.44;P= 0.02),and rs2072906 G allele(CHB+ NAFLD group vs CHB group:OR = 3.05,95%CI:1.28-7.26;P = 0.01),conferred high risk to NAFLD in CHB patients.In patients with both CHB and NAFLD,these genotypes of PNPLA3 polymorphisms were associated with increased susceptibility to nonalcoholic steatohepatitis(NASH)(NAFLD activity score ≥3;P =0.01-0.03) and liver fibrosis(>1 Metavir grading;P =0.01-0.04).As compared to those with C/C and C/G at rs738409,C/C and C/T at rs3747206,G/G and G/A at rs4823173,and A/A and A/G at rs2072906,patients in the CHB + NAFLD group with G/G at rs738409,T/T at rs3747206,A/A at rs4823173,and G/G at rs2072906 showed significantly lower serum levels of HBV DNA(P< 0.01-0.05).CONCLUSION:Four linked SNPs of PNPLA3(rs738409,rs3747206,rs4823173,and rs2072906) are correlated with susceptibility to NAFLD,NASH,liver fibrosis,and HBV dynamics in CHB patients.Qin Pan Rui-Nan Zhang Yu-Qin Wang Rui-Dan Zheng Yu-Qiang Mi Wen-Bin Liu Feng Shen Guang-Yu Chen Jia-Fa Lu Chan-Yan Zhu Shu-Yi Zhang Yi-Ming Chen Wan-Lu Sun Jian-Gao Fan 2015World Journal of Gastroenterology2015,21,28:12

8Comparison of phylobetadiversity indices based on community data from Gutianshan forest plot显示文摘Phylobetadiversity incorporates phylogenetic information and beta diversity,and can account for the ecological similarities between communities with a phylogenetic perspective.Although different phylobetadiversity indices reflect differences in different characteristics between communities,the results of different phylobetadiversity indices are not comparable.In this study we examined phylobetadiversity indices for a 24-hm 2 plot in the Gutianshan National Nature Reserve.It was found the abundanceweighted D pw was almost identical to Rao's D of Rao's quadratic entropy.PhyloSor had a similar ecological meaning and algorithm to UniFrac.Although Dnn was different in definition from UniFrac and PhyloSor,they were all strongly correlated.The effect of species abundance on phylobetadiversity was not significant when scales were relatively small,but was significant at larger scales.These contrasts likely resulted from reductions in evenness in communities as scales increased.P ST and Rao's H better reflected the distance-decay changes caused by spatial and habitat variation than other indices at larger scales,whereas AW-D nn and D nn better reflected these changes at small scales.FENG Gang ZHANG JinLong PEI NanCai RAO MiDe MI XiangCheng REN HaiBao MA KePing 2012Chinese Science Bulletin2012,57,6:9
9Lycium barbarum polysaccharides related RAGE and Aβ levels in the retina of mice with acute ocular hypertension and promote maintenance of blood retinal barrier显示文摘Our previous study verified the protective effects of Lycium barbarum polysaccharides(LBP)on retinal neurons and blood vessels in acute ocular hypertension(AOH)mice.To investigate the effect of LBP on the reactivity of retinal glial cells,an AOH mouse model was established in one eye by maintaining ocular hypertension of 90 mm Hg for 60 minutes.Either LBP solution(1 mg/kg)or phosphate-buffered saline was administrated to the mice by gavage daily,starting 7 days before the AOH insult and continuing until the mice were sacrificed for specimen collection on day 4 post-insult.After AOH insult,increased numbers of astrocytes and microglia were observed,together with decreased expression of the following glial cell biomarkers in the retinal ganglion cells of AOH mice:glial fibrillary acidic protein,glutamine synthetase,aquaporin-4,S-100 proteins,ionized calcium-binding adaptor molecule 1,amyloid precursor protein and receptor of advanced glycosylation end-products.After intervention with LBP,the above changes were significantly reduced.Remarkably,morphological remodeling of blood vessel-associated retinal astrocytes,marked by glial fibrillary acidic protein,was also observed.These results,taken together,suggest that LBP regulated the production of amyloid-βand expression of receptor of advanced glycosylation end-products,as well as mediating the activity of retinal glial cells,which may lead to the promotion of better maintenance of the blood-retinal barrier and improved neuronal survival in AOH insult.This study was approved by the Committee for the Use of Live Animals in Teaching and Research(approval No.CULTRA-#1664-08).Xue-Song Mi Qian Feng Amy Cheuk Yin Lo Raymond Chuen-Chung Chang Sookja Kim Chung Kwok-Fai So 2020Neural Regeneration Research2020,15,12:8

11Identification of quantitative trait loci affecting tolerance to low phosphorus in rice (Oryza Sativa L.)显示文摘Phosphorus (P)-deficiency in rice (Oryza. Sativa. L) may cause yield reductions. This research has been conducted to map quantitative trait loci (QTLs) for tolerance to low phosphorus stress in a doubled haploid (DH) population. By using the linkage map of this population, the OTLs for relative dry weight, relative P content and relative P utilization efficiency have been located. The results indicate that one RFLP marker located on chromosome 6 is closely associated with relative root dry weight, relative shoot dry weight and relative total dry weight, which explain 24.9%, 20.5% and 25.2% of the total phenotypic variations, respectively. Two QTLs affect relative P uptake content, which account for 20.7% of the total phenotypic variations. One micro-effect QTL has been found to be associated with relative P utilization efficiency. It is suggested that the P uptake efficiency is more associated with P efficiency. 13Hierarchical porous hard carbon enables integral solid electrolyte interphase as robust anode for sodium-ion batteries显示文摘Hard carbon is the most promising anode for sodium-ion battery applications due to the wide availability and low work voltage.However,it often delivers worse electrochemical performance in ester-based electrolytes.Herein,a hierarchically porous loose sponge-like hard carbon with a highly disordered phase,prepared from the biomass of platanus bark,exhibits superior rate performance with a capacity of 165 mAh·g-1 at a high current of1 A·g-1,and high retention of 71.5%after 2000 cycles in an ester-based electrolyte.The effect of the hierarchically porous loose sponge-like structure on the formation dynamics of solid electrolyte interphase(SEI),and related properties,was studied via cyclic voltammetry(CV),galvanostatic intermittent titration technique(GITT),X-ray photoelectron spectroscope(XPS),Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy(FTIR)and electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS)analysis.These results reveal that the hierarchically porous structure can construct continued connecting channels and accelerate the electrolyte transport,which is beneficial to the reaction kinetics of SEI.Moreover,the mesoporous structure is conducive to good contact between electrolyte and materials and shortens the Na+diffusion path,which in turn facilitates the charge transfer kinetics in the material.Xu-Kun Wang Juan Shi Li-Wei Mi Yun-Pu Zhai Ji-Yu Zhang Xiang-Ming Feng Zi-Jie Wu Wei-Hua Chen 2020Rare Metals2020,39,9:7
14Comparative Studies on Low Noise Greases Operating under High Temperature Oxidation Conditions显示文摘Oxidation induction time(OIT) testing by differential scanning calorimetry(DSC) was used to evaluate the oxidation resistance of lubricating greases. Under the high temperature condition, bearing noise was detected when grease passed the initial stable stage of oxidation. The chemical and physical structure of grease samples before and after high temperature oxidation were also analyzed by FT-IR spectrometry and scanning electron microscopy(SEM), then the effects of oxidation at high temperature on bearing noise were investigated. It is found out that for lithium greases, oxidation of base oil and thickener is the main reason responsible for the increasing bearing noise. 15Agglutinin isolated from Arisema heterophyllum Blume induces apoptosis and autophagy in A549 cells through inhibiting PI3K/Akt pathway and inducing ER stress显示文摘Arisaema heterophyllum Blume is one of the three medicinal plants known as traditional Chinese medicine Rhizoma Arisaematis(RA). RA has been popularly used to treat patients with convulsions, inflammation, and cancer for a long time. However, the underlying mechanisms for RA effects are still unclear. The present study was designed to determine the cytotoxicity of agglutinin isolated from Arisema heterophyllum Blume(AHA) and explore the possible mechanisms in human non-small-cell lung cancer A549 cells. AHA with purity up to 95% was isolated and purified from Arisaema heterophyllum Blume using hydrophobic interaction chromatography. AHA dose-dependently inhibited the proliferation of A549 cells and induced G_1 phase cell cycle arrest. AHA induced apoptosis by up-regulating pro-apoptotic Bax, decreasing anti-apoptotic Bcl-2, and activating caspase-9 and caspase-3. In A549 cells treated with AHA, the PI3K/Akt pathway was inhibited. Furthermore, AHA induced increase in the levels of ER stress markers such as phosphorylated eukaryotic initiation factor 2α(p-eIF2α), C/EBP-homologous protein(CHOP), inositol-requiring enzyme 1α(IRE1α), and phosphorylated c-Jun NH_2-terminal kinase(p-JNK). AHA also induced autophagy in A549 cells. Staining of acidic vesicular organelles(AVOs) and increase in the levels of LC3II and ATG7 were observed in AHA-treated cells. These findings suggested that AHA might be one of the active components with anti-cancer effects in Arisaema heterophyllum Blume. 16Evaluation and scenario simulation for forest ecological security in China显示文摘Continuously growing populations and rapid economic development have led to the excessive use of forest resources,and the forest ecosystem is threatened.In response,forest ecological security(FES)has attracted attention.In this study,an integrated dynamic simulation model was constructed using the system dynamic method,and it was used to evaluate the FES in China from 1999 to 2014.A scenario analysis was then used to evaluate the changes in the FES under five forestry policy scenarios for the 2015–2050 period,including the baseline,afforestation policy,harvesting policies,management policy,investment policy,and a policy mix.The results showed that the evaluation values of the FES increased during the period from 1999 to 2002,the period from 2004 to 2010 and the year 2014,and they decreased in 2003 and during the period from 2011 to 2013.During the 2015–2050 simulation period,the FES improved continuously.In particular,China would enter a new stage when the economic systems,social systems and ecosystems were in harmony after 2040.To improve the FES and the current status of the FES,a scenario analysis showed the most suitable scenario to be Scenario 5 from 2015 to 2020 and Scenario 2 from 2021 to 2050.To relieve pressure,the most suitable scenario would be Scenario 5 from 2015 to 2040 and from 2046 to 2050,and the most suitable scenario would be Scenario 4 for 2041–2045.A policy mix(Scenario 5)would be most efficient under current conditions,while the effects of all the benefits of the forestry policies would weaken over the long term.The integrated method can be regarded as a decision support tool to help policy makers understand FES and promulgate a reasonable forestry policy.Qin Zhang Guangyu Wang Feng Mi Xuanchang Zhang Lianzhen Xu Yufang Zhang Xiaoli Jiang 2019Journal of Forestry Research2019,30,5:5
17Bioactive Study on Mixtures of Epimedin C and Icariin Monomers with Invariant Molarity to Zebrafish Osteoporosis Model显示文摘Objective To evaluate the anti-osteoporosis effect of the mixtures of epimedin C and icariin monomers with invariant molarity on zebrafish osteoporosis model. Methods The zebrafishes, fertilized 4 d ago, were exposed in 11 groups of nutrient solutions with prednisolone(25 μmol/L) as well as epimedin C and icariin(15 μmol/L) of various contents. The ratio of epimedin C and icariin in the 11 groups were as follows: A(10:0), B(9:1), C(8:2), D(7:3), E(6:4), F(5:5), G(4:6), H(3:7), I(2:8), J(1:9), and K(0:10). Meanwhile, a negative control group with prednisolone(25 μmol/L) was prepare as S. The selected zebrafish fetus was put into the 24-hole culture plate, and ensure every 5 zebrafishes in 1 hole and 2 holes as a group. They were placed in incubator at 28.5 o C, and the daily changes of fluid were investigated until they were put to death on day 8and then fixed. After dyeing with alizarin red, the segmental venter of zebrafish skulls was observed and quantitative analysis of dyed area was conducted. Results Compared with the negative control group S, the integrated optical density(IOD) values of cranial dyed area in all groups increased significantly(P < 0.05); Compared with group S, the IOD value of cranial dyed area in mixtures of epimedium monomers increased significantly(P < 0.05). The mixtures of epimedium monomers were all effective in facilitating zebrafish cranial mineralization and preventing prednisolone from inducing osteoporosis. According to mixtures of A-K groups, zebrafish cranial mineralization gradually decreased with gradually reduced content of epimedin C, with significant difference among groups(P < 0.05). 18Effects of Outdoor Temperature on Blood Pressure in a Prospective Cohort of Northwest China显示文摘Objective The relationship between outdoor temperature and blood pressure(BP) has been inconclusive. We analyzed data from a prospective cohort study in northwestern China to investigate the effect of outdoor temperature on BP and effect modification by season.Methods A total of 32,710 individuals who participated in both the baseline survey and the first follow-up in 2011–2015 were included in the study. A linear mixed-effect model and generalized additive mixed model(GAMM) were applied to estimate the association between outdoor temperature and BP after adjusting for confounding variables.Results The mean differences in systolic blood pressure(SBP) and diastolic blood pressure(DBP)between summer and winter were 3.5 mm Hg and 2.75 mm Hg, respectively. After adjusting for individual characteristics, meteorological factors and air pollutants, a significant increase in SBP and DBP was observed for lag 06 day and lag 04 day, a 0.28 mm Hg(95% CI: 0.27–0.30) per 1 °C decrease in average temperature for SBP and a 0.16 mm Hg(95% CI: 0.15–0.17) per 1 °C decrease in average temperature for DBP, respectively. The effects of the average temperature on both SBP and DBP were stronger in summer than in other seasons. The effects of the average temperature on BP were also greater if individuals were older, male, overweight or obese, a smoker or drinker, or had cardiovascular diseases(CVDs), hypertension, and diabetes.Conclusions This study demonstrated a significant negative association between outdoor temperature and BP in a high-altitude environment of northwest China. Moreover, BP showed a significant seasonal variation. 20Degradation of 2,2′,4,4′-tetrabromodiphenyl ether by Pycnoporus sanguineus in the presence of copper ions显示文摘The degradation of 2,2′,4,4′-tetrabromodiphenyl ether(BDE-47) by Pycnoporus sanguineus was investigated in order to explore the impact of the heavy metal Cu2+ on BDE-47 decomposition and the subsequent formation of metabolites, as well as to further elucidate the degradation mechanism of BDE-47. An increase in degradation rate from 18.63% to49.76% in the first four days and its stabilization at(51.26 ± 0.08)% in the following days of BDE-47 incubation were observed. The presence of Cu2+ at 1 and 2 mg/L was found to promote the degradation rate to 56.41% and 60.79%, respectively, whereas higher level of Cu2+(≥ 5 mg/L) inhibited the removal of BDE-47. The similar concentration effects of Cu2+ was also found on contents of fungal protein and amounts of metabolites. Both intracellular and extracellular enzymes played certain roles in BDE-47 transportation with the best degradation rate at 27.90% and 27.67% on the fourth and third day, individually. During the degradation of BDE-47, four types of hydroxylated polybrominated diphenyl ethers(OH-PBDEs), i.e., 6′-OH-BDE-47, 5′-OH-BDE-47, 4′-OH-BDE-17, 2′-OH-BDE-28, and two bromophenols, i.e., 2,4-DBP and 4-BP were detected and considered as degradation products.
