| 1 | Application of Land-use Change Model in Guiding Regional Planning:A Case Study in Hun-Taizi River Watershed,Northeast China显示文摘This paper firstly investigated the land-use and land-cover change (LUCC) in the Hun-Taizi River watershed, Northeast China from 1988 to 2004 based on remotely sensed images and geographic information systems (GIS) technology. Then, using the famous land-use change model of Conversion of Land Use and its Effects at Small regional extent (CLUE-S), this paper simulated the land use changes under historical trend (HT), urban planning (UP) and ecological protection (EP) scenarios considering urban planning and ecological protection over the next 20 years. The simulated results under UP scenario in 2020 were compared with the planning map to assess the feasibility of using land-use change model to guide regional planning. Results show that forest land, dry farmland, paddy, and shrub land were the main land-use categories. Paddy and dry farmland being converted to urban area and rural settlement characterized the land-use change from 1988 to 2004. The main land-use categories changed over time. Landscape-pattern fragmentation will be worse under HT and UP scenarios, but better in EP scenario. The comparing results of simulated map with planning map in 2020 show that land-use change model is powerful tool to guide regional planning. | 2 | Assessment of the individual and combined effects of Rht8 and Ppd-D1a on plant height, time to heading and yield traits in common wheat显示文摘Grain yield in cereal crops is a complex trait controlled by multiple genes and influenced by developmental processes and environment. Here we report the effects of alleles Rht8 and Ppd-D1 a on plant height, time to heading, and grain yield and its component traits. Association analysis and quantitative trait locus mapping using phenotypic data from 15 environments led to the following conclusions. First, both Rht8 and Ppd-D1 a reduce plant height. However, Ppd-D1 a but not Rht8 causes earlier heading.Second, both Rht8 and Ppd-D1 a promote grain yield and affect component traits. Their combined effects are substantially larger than those conferred by either allele alone.Third, promotion of grain yield by Rht8 and Ppd-D1 a is through increasing fertile spikelet number. We speculate that Rht8 and Ppd-D1 a act independently and additively in control of plant height, grain yield and yield component. | 5 | Multi-Domain Collaborative Recommendation with Feature Selection显示文摘Collaborative f iltering, as one of the most popular techniques, plays an important role in recommendation systems. However,when the user-item rating matrix is sparse,its performance will be degenerate. Recently,domain-specific recommendation approaches have been developed to address this problem.The basic idea is to partition the users and items into overlapping domains, and then perform recommendation in each domain independently. Here, a domain means a group of users having similar preference to a group of products. However, these domain-specific methods consisting of two sequential steps ignore the mutual benefi t of domain segmentation and recommendation. Hence, a unified framework is presented to simultaneously realize recommendation and make use of the domain information underlying the rating matrix in this paper. Based on matrix factorization,the proposed model learns both user preferences of multiple domains and preference selection vectors to select relevant features for each group of products. | 7 | A new method for optimal FTU placement in distribution network under consideration of power service reliability显示文摘Modern distribution network with high penetration of intermittent renewable sources and the so-called prosumers requires more reliable distribution automation(DA) system for safe operation and control. The design of optimal feeder terminal units(FTU)placement is critical and economical for the effective DA application. Previously proposed solutions of optimal FTU placement aiming to ensure the accuracy of state estimation(SE), typically include the following two main shortcomings: 1) only to obtain the optimal FTU placement in quantity, and the analysis of FTU location is not considered yet; 2) few consider the uncertainty of intermittent power injections in the analysis of state estimation. In this paper, a modified methodology of FTU placement is proposed not only aiming to ensure the accuracy of state estimation with the minimum number of meters, but also finding those specific FTU locations to guarantee the power service reliability. Moreover, the uncertainty models of those intermittent power injections are also considered by using probability density function(PDF). | 8 | Integrated histopathological,lipidomic,and metabolomic profiles reveal mink is a useful animal model to mimic the pathogenicity of severe COVID-19 patients显示文摘Severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)is transmitted on mink farms between minks and humans in many countries.However,the systemic pathological features of SARS-CoV-2-infected minks are mostly unknown.Here,we demonstrated that minks were largely permissive to SARS-CoV-2,characterized by severe and diffuse alveolar damage,and lasted at least 14 days post inoculation(dpi).We first reported that infected minks displayed multiple organ-system lesions accompanied by an increased inflammatory response and widespread viral distribution in the cardiovascular,hepatobiliary,urinary,endocrine,digestive,and immune systems.The viral protein partially co-localized with activated Mac-2+macrophages throughout the body.Moreover,we first found that the alterations in lipids and metabolites were correlated with the histological lesions in infected minks,especially at 6 dpi,and were similar to that of patients with severe and fatal COVID-19.Particularly,altered metabolic pathways,abnormal digestion,and absorption of vitamins,lipids,cholesterol,steroids,amino acids,and proteins,consistent with hepatic dysfunction,highlight metabolic and immune dysregulation.Enriched kynurenine in infected minks contributed to significant activation of the kynurenine pathway and was related to macrophage activation.Melatonin,which has significant anti-inflammatory and immunomodulating effects,was significantly downregulated at 6 dpi and displayed potential as a targeted medicine.Our data first illustrate systematic analyses of infected minks to recapitulate those observations in severe and fetal COVID-19 patients,delineating a useful animal model to mimic SARS-CoV-2-induced systematic and severe pathophysiological features and provide a reliable tool for the development of effective and targeted treatment strategies,vaccine research,and potential biomarkers. | Zhiqi Song Linlin Bao Wei Deng Jiangning Liu Erjun Ren Qi Lv Mingya Liu Feifei Qi Ting Chen Ran Deng Fengdi Li Yunpeng Liu Qiang Wei Hong Gao Pin Yu Yunlin Han Wenjie Zhao Junjun Zheng Xujian Liang Fuhe Yang Chuan Qin | 2022 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2022,7,2: | 2 |

| 12 | Carboniferous integrative stratigraphy and timescale of China显示文摘The Carboniferous period lasted about 60 Myr, from ~358.9 Ma to ~298.9 Ma. According to the International Commission on Stratigraphy, the Carboniferous System is subdivided into two subsystems, i.e., Mississippian and Pennsylvanian, including 6 series and 7 stages. The Global Stratotype Sections and Points(GSSPs) of three stages have been ratified, the Tournaisian, Visean, and Bashkirian stages. The GSSPs of the remaining four stages(i.e., the Serpukhovian, Moscovian,Kasimovian, and Gzhelian) have not been ratified so far. This paper outlines Carboniferous stratigraphic subdivision and correlation on the basis of detailed biostratigraphy mainly from South China, and summarizes the Carboniferous chronostratigraphic framework of China. High-resolution biostratigraphic study reveals 37 conodont zones, 24 foraminiferal(including fusulinid) zones, 13 ammonoid zones, 10 brachiopod zones, and 10 rugose coral zones in the Carboniferous of China. The biostratigraphic framework based on these biozones warrants the precise correlation of regional stratigraphy of China(including2 subsystems, 4 series, and 8 stages) to that of the other regions globally. Meanwhile, the Carboniferous chemo-, sequence-,cyclo-, and event-stratigraphy of China have been intensively studied and can also be correlated worldwide. | 13 | Dynamic changes of postprandial plasma metabolites after intake of corn-soybean meal or casein-starch diets in growing pigs显示文摘Background: Postprandial nutrients utilization and metabolism of a certain diet is a complicated process. The metabolic feature of pigs after intake of corn-soybean meal or casein-starch diets are largely unknown. Therefore,this study was conducted to investigate the dynamic postprandial changes of plasma metabolic profile using growing pigs using metabolomics.Methods: Twenty-four growing pigs with average initial body weight(BW) about 30 kg were placed in metabolic cages and then fitted with precaval vein catheters. Pigs were fed daily 4% of initial body weight. Two experimental diets were included:(i) a starch-casein based purified diet(PD) and(ii) a common corn-soybean meal diet(CD).Plasma was collected before feeding and 0.5 h, 1 h, 2 h, 4 h, 8 h after feeding.Results: In both diets, compared to prior to feeding, the concentrations of glucose, most amino acids, metabolites such as 5-aminopentanoic acid, pipecolic acid, ornithine and 5-hydroxy-L-tryptophan were significantly increased in plasma during the first hour, whereas the concentrations of plasma triglycerides, glutamate, glycine, palmitelaidic acid, 13-HODE and oleic acid were decreased in the first hour. Compared with PD group, concentration of plasma leucine and isoleucine declined at 30 min in CD group. Plasma linoleic acid, sphingosine and many dipeptides were significantly higher in pigs fed CD.Conclusion: Most significant metabolic changes occurred during the first hour after feeding and then became relatively stable after 2 h in both diets. | 19 | Pressureless two-step sintering of ultrafine-grained refractory metals:Tungsten-rhenium and molybdenum显示文摘The challenge of sintering ultrafine-grained refractory metals and alloys to full density is hereby addressed by pressureless two-step sintering in tungsten-rhenium alloy and pure molybdenum. Using properly processed nano powders(~50 nm average particle size), we are able to sinter W-10Re alloy to 98.4% density below 1200 ℃ while maintaining a fine grain size of 260 nm, and sinter molybdenum to 98.3% density below 1120 ℃ while maintaining a fine grain size of 290 nm. Compared to normal sintering,two-step sintering offers record-fine grain sizes and better microstructural uniformity, which translates to better mechanical properties with higher hardness(6.3 GPa for tungsten-rhenium and 4.0 GPa for molybdenum, both being the highest in all pressurelessly sintered samples of the respective material system)and larger Weibull modulus.
