Statistical and frequency analysis of the pressure fluctuation in a fluidized bed of non-spherical particles显示文摘In this paper, the pressure fluctuation in a fluidized bed was measured and processed via standard deviation and power spectrum analysis to investigate the dynamic behavior of the transition from the bubbling to turbulent regime. Two types[Geldart B and D) of non-spherical particles, screened from real bed materials, and their mixture were used as the bed materials. The experiments were conducted in a semiindustrial testing apparatus. The experimental results indicated that the fluidization characteristics of the non-spherical Geldart D particles differed from that of the spherical particles at gas velocities beyond the transition velocity U_c.The standard deviation of the pressure fluctuation measured in the bed increased with the gas velocity, while that measured in the plenum remained constant.Compared to the coarse particles, the fine particles exerted a stronger influence on the dynamic behavior of the fluidized bed and promoted the fluidization regime transition from bubbling toward turbulent. The power spectrum of the pressure fluctuation was calculated using the auto-regressive(AR) model;the hydrodynamics of the fluidized bed were characterized by the major frequency of the power spectrum of the pressure fluctuation.By combining the standard deviation analysis,a new method was proposed to determine the transition velocity U_k via the analysis of the change in the major frequency. The first major frequency was observed to vary within the range of 1.5 to 3 Hz. | Honghao He Xiaofeng Lu Wei Shuang Quanhai Wang Yinhu Kang Liyun Yan Xuanyu Ji Guangyu Luo Hai Liu | 2014 | Particuology2014,12,5: | 6
Exploiting transmission opportunities in heterogeneous wireless networks:a transmission power saving perspective显示文摘Exploiting transmission opportunities in dimensions of user equipments(UEs),radio access networks(RANs),and radio resource units(RRUs),in heterogeneous wireless networks(HWNs),we focus on a new perspective of saving the uplink transmission power,so as to lengthen the battery life time of UEs.Moreover,to ensure the quality of service for each UE,we guarantee each a minimal transmission rate.To achieve the above HWN control objective,we have to make an efcient matching among UEs,RANs,and RRUs,which is formulated as a binary linear optimization problem.Due to its NP-hard complexity,we develop a rate-power efciency based HWN control algorithm with low computational complexity. We verify the performance of our HWN control scheme through simulation.Extensive simulation results demonstrate the advantage of our HWN control method in saving the uplink transmission power and guaranteeing the UE transmission rate requirement. | JU HongHao LI JianDong LONG Yan YANG XiaoNiu | 2014 | Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,2: | 1
Structural engineering design of carbon dots for lubrication显示文摘Carbon dots(CDs)have opened up a new field of carbon nanomaterials and successively attracted increasing attention since their discovery in 2004.Owing to their ultrasmall size, tunable surface functional groups, excellent dispersibility, attractive stability, low toxicity, environmental friendliness, facile synthesis and low-cost precursors,CDs have been developed as green and promising frictionreducing and anti-wear materials in lubrication science, applied to energy conservation and extension of mechanical service life in recent years. However, there are few reviews focusing on the application of CDs in the important field of lubrication. In this review,we comprehensively summarize the development of CDs in lubrication for the first time.Firstly, three strategies for structural engineering design of CDs to improve their tribological characteristics are fully analyzed,in terms of size and shape control, surface modification and heteroatom doping.Secondly, the advance in lubrication application of CDs,including CDs as additives for lubricants, greases, gel and magnetorheological fluids as well as CDs as lubricating coatings,is systematically highlighted.Thirdly, the lubricating mechanisms of CDs as additives are introduced in detail.Furthermore, the remaining major challenges and opportunities for CDs in lubrication field are discussed and outlined. | Chuang He Shuang E Honghao Yan Xiaojie Li | 2021 | Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,9: | 1

C/EBP-β and SIRT1 regulate IL-18 expression in the proliferative phase endometria of polycystic ovary syndrome patients显示文摘Background:Previous studies have shown that polycystic ovary syndrome(PCOS)patients suffer from low-grade chronic inflammation.Furthermore, our previous studies have confirmed that IL-18 is highly expressed in the serum and endometria of PCOS patients.Nevertheless, the mechanisms underlying IL-18 elevation remain unclear. This study aims to explore the signaling pathways that lead to IL-18 upregulation in the endometria of PCOS patients. Methods:Using the TF-Search tool,we predicted that C/EBP-βmay be a transcription factor for IL-18 and that deacetylase SIRT1 could be involved in its regulation.Subsequently,we analyzed SIRT1 and C/EBP-βin the proliferative endometria of PCOS patients and healthy control using immunohistochemistry,real-time quantitative PCR and western blot;PCOS diagnosis was based on the 2003 Rotterdam ESHRE/ASRM criteria. We further verified the interaction between C/EBP-βand IL-18 using a double luciferase assay.Results:SIRT1 and C/EBP-βgene and protein levels in the proliferative endometria of PCOS patients were significantly higher than the control group.Immunohistochemical experiments confirmed that SIRT1 was primarily expressed in the endometrial nucleus, while C/EBP-βwas predominantly expressed in the endometrial nucleus and cytoplasm.Double luciferase assay verified the interaction between C/EBP-βand IL-18.Conclusion:SIRT1 and C/EBP-βare probable IL-18 regulatory mechanism in the endometria of PCOS patients. | Xiaoyu Long Honghao Wang Xiaohui Zhu Rong Li Yan Yang Jie Qiao | 2021 | Gynecology and Obstetrics Clinical Medicine2021,1,2: | 0
Entity-related paths modeling for knowledge base completion显示文摘Knowledge bases(KBs)are far from complete, necessitating a demand for KB completion.Among various methods, embedding has received increasing attention in recent years.PTransE,an important approach using embedding method in KB completion, considers multiple-step relation paths based on TransE,but ignores the association between entity and their related entities with the same direct relationships. In this paper,we propose an approach called EP-TransE,which considers this kind of association. As a matter of fact, the dissimilarity of these related entities should be taken into consideration and it should not exceed a certain threshold.EPTransE adjusts the embedding vector of an entity by comparing it with its related entities which are connected by the same direct relationship.EPTransE further makes the euclidean distance between them less than a certain threshold. Therefore, the embedding vectors of entities are able to contain rich semantic information, which is valuable for KB completion. In experiments,we evaluated our approach on two tasks, including entity prediction and relation prediction.Experimental results show that our idea of considering the dissimilarity of related entities with the same direct relationships is effective. | Fangfang Liu Yan Shen Tienan Zhang Honghao Gao | 2020 | Frontiers of Computer Science2020,14,5: | 0
Feasibility and physics potential of detecting ^(8)B solar neutrinos at JUNO显示文摘The Jiangmen Underground Neutrino Observatory(JUNO)features a 20 kt multi-purpose underground liquid scintillator sphere as its main detector. Some of JUNO's features make it an excellent location for^8B solar neutrino measurements, such as its low-energy threshold, high energy resolution compared with water Cherenkov detectors, and much larger target mass compared with previous liquid scintillator detectors. In this paper,we present a comprehensive assessment of JUNO's potential for detecting^8B solar neutrinos via the neutrino-electron elastic scattering process.A reduced 2 MeV threshold for the recoil electron energy is found to be achievable, assuming that the intrinsic radioactive background^(238)U and^(232)Th in the liquid scintillator can be controlled to 10^(-17)g/g.With ten years of data acquisition, approximately 60,000 signal and 30,000 background events are expected. This large sample will enable an examination of the distortion of the recoil electron spectrum that is dominated by the neutrino flavor transformation in the dense solar matter, which will shed new light on the inconsistency between the measured electron spectra and the predictions of the standard three-flavor neutrino oscillation framework.IfDelta m^(2)_(21)=4.8times10^(-5);(7.5times10^(-5))eV^(2),JUNO can provide evidence of neutrino oscillation in the Earth at approximately the 3sigma(2sigma)level by measuring the non-zero signal rate variation with respect to the solar zenith angle. Moreover,JUNO can simultaneously measureDelta m^2_(21)using^8B solar neutrinos to a precision of 20% or better, depending on the central value, and to sub-percent precision using reactor antineutrinos.A comparison of these two measurements from the same detector will help understand the current mild inconsistency between the value of Delta m^2_(21)reported by solar neutrino experiments and the KamLAND experiment. | 12 | Effects of specific doses of E-beam irradiation which inactivated SARS-CoV-2 on the nutrition and quality of Atlantic salmon显示文摘The contamination of Atlantic salmon with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-CoV-2)has impeded the development of the cold-chain food industry and posed possible risks to the population.Electron beam(E-beam)irradiation under 2,4,7,and 10 kGy can effectively inactivate SARS-CoV-2 in cold-chain seafood. However, there are few statistics about the quality changes of salmon exposed to these irradiation dosages. This work demonstrated that E-beam irradiation at dosages capable of killing SARS-CoV-2 induced lipid oxidation, decreased vitamin A content, and increased some amino acids and ash content. In addition, irradiation altered the textural features of salmon, such as its hardness, resilience, cohesiveness, and chewiness. The irradiation considerably affected the L*,a*,and b*values of salmon, with the L*value increasing and a*,b*values decreasing. There was no significant difference in the sensory evaluation of control and irradiated salmon. It was shown that irradiation with 2−7 kGy E-beam did not significantly degrade quality. The inactivation of SARS-CoV-2 in salmon is advised at a dose of 2 kGy. | Huilin Yu Junhui Zhang Yan Zhao Honghao Li Yixuan Chen Jiajin Zhu | 2023 | Food Science and Human Wellness2023,12,4: | 0
BCI+VR Rehabilitation Design of Closed-Loop Motor Imagery Based on the Degree of Drug Addiction显示文摘After abusing drugs for long, drug users will experience deteriorated self-control cognitive ability, and poor emotional regulation. This paper designs a closed-loop virtual-reality(VR),motorimagery(MI)rehabilitation training system based on brain-computer interface(BCI)(MI-BCI+VR),aiming to enhance the self-control,cognition,and emotional regulation of drug addicts via personalized rehabilitation schemes. This paper is composed of two parts. In the first part, data of 45 drug addicts(mild:15;moderate:15;and severe:15)is tested with electroencephalogram(EEG)and near-infrared spectroscopy(NIRS)equipment(EEG-NIRS)under the dual-mode,synchronous signal collection paradigm.Using these data sets,a dual-modal signal convolutional neural network(CNN)algorithm is then designed based on decision fusion to detect and classify the addiction degree. In the second part, the MIBCI+VR rehabilitation system is designed, optimizing the Filter Bank Common Spatial Pattern(FBCSP)algorithm used in MI,and realizing MI-EEG intention recognition.Eight VR rehabilitation scenes are devised, achieving the communication between MI-BCI and VR scene models.Ten subjects are selected to test the rehabilitation system offline and online, and the test accuracy verifies the feasibility of the system. In future,it is suggested to develop personalized rehabilitation programs and treatment cycles based on the addiction degree. | Xuelin Gu Banghua Yang Shouwei Gao Honghao Gao Linfeng Yan Ding Xu Wen Wang | 2022 | China Communications2022,19,2: | 0
