| 3 | Heterotic Group Classification of 63 Inbred Lines and Hybrid Purity Identification by Using SSR Markers in Winter Cabbage(Brassica Oleracea L. var. capitata)显示文摘Winter cabbage is an important crop cultivated through winter in the region near the Yangtze River, enabling the supply of fresh cabbage there at that time of year. However, a problem has emerged regarding the newly developed parents of winter cabbage, which is completely different from spring and autumn cabbage, namely, how to combine these parents to breed an elite hybrid. To classify the heterotic groups and improve the efficiency of parent selection in winter cabbage breeding, 20 polymorphic SSR markers were selected to screen 63 winter cabbage inbred lines. Seventeen pairs among the 20 SSR markers amplified polymorphic bands. These primers amplified two to six bands,with an average of 2.8 bands per primer, and a total of 47 polymorphic bands were generated in the 63 inbred lines. These lines included flatheaded morphotype and round-headed morphotype, thus they were separately classified into heterotic groups based on the SSR markers. The flat-headed morphotype contained 21 inbred lines and was classified into three heterotic groups, named Hanchun 4, Jiali, and Dongsheng, in accordance with the representative germplasm contained in each group. The round-headed morphotype contained 42 inbred lines and was classified into five heterotic groups, named Parte, Bejo1039, YK-143, SCA002, and Golden B90. Meanwhile, parent analysis of 20 developed elite combinations showed that their parents were all distributed in different heterotic groups, indicating that the group classification was reasonable,which can provide a basis for further parent selection in winter cabbage breeding. | 5 | Utilization of Ogura CMS germplasm with the clubroot resistance gene by fertility restoration and cytoplasm replacement in Brassica oleracea L显示文摘Clubroot disease,a major plant root disease caused by Plasmodiophora brassicae,has become one of the most destructive diseases among cultivated cruciferous vegetables.However,clubroot-resistant Brassica oleracea materials are rare.A few clubroot-resistant cabbage varieties are available on the market,but all are Ogura cytoplasmic male sterile(CMS)types.Therefore,in this study,to reutilize the clubroot-resistant Ogura CMS germplasm of cabbage,a new fertility-restored Ogura CMS material,16Q2-11,was used as a bridge to transfer the clubroot resistance(CR)gene from the Ogura CMS cytoplasm to the normal cytoplasm by a two-step method(a fertility restoration and cytoplasm replacement method).In the first cross for fertility restoration of Ogura CMS clubroot-resistant cabbage(FRCRC),16Q2-11 was used as a restorer to cross with Ogura CMS materials containing the CR gene CRb2.Eleven Rfo-positive progenies were generated,of which four contained CRb2:F8-514,F8-620,F8-732 and F8-839.After inoculation with race 4 of P.brassicae,these four CRb2-positive individuals showed resistance.Furthermore,F8-514 and F8-839 were then used as male parents in the second cross of FRCRC to cross with cabbage inbred lines,resulting in the successful introgression of the CRb2 gene into the inbred lines.All offspring produced from this step of cross,which had a normal cytoplasm,showed a high resistance to race 4 of P.brassicae and could be utilized for the breeding of clubrootresistant cabbage varieties in the future.This is the first time that the Ogura CMS restorer has been used to restore the fertility of Ogura CMS clubroot-resistant cabbages,which could improve germplasm diversity in cabbage and provide a reference method for using CMS germplasm in Brassica crops. | Wenjing Ren Zhiyuan Li Fengqing Han Bin Zhang Xing Li Zhiyuan Fang Limei Yang Mu Zhuang Honghao Lv Yumei Liu Yong Wang Hailong Yu Yangyong Zhang | 2020 | Horticulture Research2020,7,1: | 7 |
| 6 | Pharmacogenetic Correlates of Antipsychotic-Induced Weight Gain in the Chinese Population显示文摘Antipsychotic-induced weight gain(AIWG) is a common adverse effect of this treatment, particularly with second-generation antipsychotics, and it is a major health problem around the world. We aimed to review the progress of pharmacogenetic studies on AIWG in the Chinese population to compare the results for Chinese with other ethnic populations, identify the limitations and problems of current studies, and provide future research directions in China. Both English and Chinese electronic databases were searched to identify eligible studies. We determined that [ 25 single-nucleotide polymorphisms in19 genes have been investigated in association with AIWG in Chinese patients over the past few decades. HTR2 C rs3813929 is the most frequently studied single-nucleotide polymorphism, and it seems to be the most strongly associated with AIWG in the Chinese population. However, many genes that have been reported to be associated with AIWG in other ethnic populations have not beenincluded in Chinese studies. | 8 | Statistical and frequency analysis of the pressure fluctuation in a fluidized bed of non-spherical particles显示文摘In this paper,the pressure fluctuation in a fluidized bed was measured and processed via standard deviation and power spectrum analysis to investigate the dynamic behavior of the transition from the bubbling to turbulent regime.Two types[Geldart B and D) of non-spherical particles,screened from real bed materials,and their mixture were used as the bed materials.The experiments were conducted in a semiindustrial testing apparatus.The experimental results indicated that the fluidization characteristics of the non-spherical Geldart D particles differed from that of the spherical particles at gas velocities beyond the transition velocity U_c.The standard deviation of the pressure fluctuation measured in the bed increased with the gas velocity,while that measured in the plenum remained constant.Compared to the coarse particles,the fine particles exerted a stronger influence on the dynamic behavior of the fluidized bed and promoted the fluidization regime transition from bubbling toward turbulent.The power spectrum of the pressure fluctuation was calculated using the auto-regressive(AR) model;the hydrodynamics of the fluidized bed were characterized by the major frequency of the power spectrum of the pressure fluctuation.By combining the standard deviation analysis,a new method was proposed to determine the transition velocity U_k via the analysis of the change in the major frequency.The first major frequency was observed to vary within the range of 1.5 to 3 Hz. | Honghao He Xiaofeng Lu Wei Shuang Quanhai Wang Yinhu Kang Liyun Yan Xuanyu Ji Guangyu Luo Hai Liu | 2014 | Particuology2014,12,5: | 6 |
| 9 | Cloning and characterization of the gene encoding β-amyrin synthase in the glycyrrhizic acid biosynthetic pathway in Glycyrrhiza uralensis显示文摘Glycyrrhiza uralensis is considered to be one of the most important herbs in traditional Chinese medicine due to its numerous pharmacological effects particularly its ability to relieve cough and act as a mucolytic.Based on previous research,these effects are mediated by a number of active ingredients,especially glycyrrhizic acid(GA).In the present study,a gene encodingβ-amyrin synthase(β-AS)involved in GA biosynthesis in G.uralensis has been cloned and expressed in Saccharomyces cerevisiae.The cloned enzyme showed similar activity to native enzymes isolated from other Glycyrrhiza species to catalyze the conversion of 2,3-oxidosqualene intoβ-amyrin.In fact theβ-AS gene is particularly important in the GA biosynthetic pathway in G.uralensis.The complete sequence of the enzyme was determined and a phylogenetic tree based on theβ-AS gene of G.uralensis and 20 other species was created.This showed that Glycyrrhiza glabra had the closest kinship with G.uralensis.The results of this work will be useful in determining how to improve the efficacy of G.uralensis by improving its GA content and in exploring the biosynthesis of GA in vitro. | Honghao Chen Ying Liu Xiaoqin Zhang Xinjie Zhan Chunsheng Liu | 2013 | Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2013,3,6: | 5 |

Traditional pyrotechnic devices have the advantages of large carrying capacity, rapid motion and functional reliability. However,their shortcomings such as great release shock, poor safety, unrepeatability and other prominent defects make them unsuitable for new generation spacecraft such as microsatellites to separate at low shock or lock repeatedly, etc. Therefore, it is necessary to develop space non-pyrotechnic low-shock connection and separation devices(SNLD) which are required for advanced aerospace missions. In this paper, the progress of the research on space non-pyrotechnic low-shock connection and separation technology(SNLT) is summarized and reviewed. Proceed from the principle of reducing shock for non-pyrotechnic devices, present studies are classified from the perspective of actuating technology and systematic designing methods. For non-pyrotechnic actuating techniques,according to different driving sources, the separation devices are classified into several main categories: electric, magnetic, gas and thermal actuating devices. The actuation principle and application prospect of separation techniques are introduced and the working process, dimension and mechanical properties of typical devices are compared and evaluated. For the systematic designing method, the common mechanism types of SNLDs are summarized according to the designing concept of reducing shock. Then connection configurations are classified according to the structural forms of connection devices, of which the principles, bearing capacities and general applications are discussed. | 15 | Carbonaceous Nanofibers-titanium Dioxide Nanocomposites: Synthesis and Use as a Platform for Removal of Dye Pollutants显示文摘A mild chemistry route was developed to prepare carbonaceous nanofibers-titanium dioxide(CNF-TiO_2) nanocomposites for removal of dye pollutants. In the process of the template-directed hydrothermal carbonization(HTC), ultrathin Te nanowires were adopted as templates and glucose as the carbon source, and TiO_2 was decorated on CNF via the hydrolysis of tetrabutyltitanate in the presence of CNF in ethanol. The as-prepared materials were characterized by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), energy-dispersive X-ray(EDX) and X-ray diffraction(XRD). SEM and TEM observations displayed that TiO_2 nanoparticles were anchored on the CNF. EDX and XRD data confirmed that the assynthesized samples were CNF-TiO_2, and TiO_2 belonged to anatase titania. Taking advantage of combined benefits of carbonaceous nanofibers and titanium dioxide, these CNF-TiO_2 nanocomposites exhibited higher removal efficiency in a short time and showed good reusability. It was showed that over 97% of Rhodamine B could be removed in 15 min without generating the solid and liquid wastes. The removal efficiency of dyes was still over 80% after reuse in five cycles. | 19 | Fe_3O_4@PAM@NTA-Ni^(2+) Magnetic Composite Nanoparticles for Highly Specific Separation of His-tagged Proteins显示文摘A facile approach has been developed to synthesize Fe_3O_4@PAM(polyacrylamide) nanoparticles(NPs) with carboxyl groups on the surfaces by copolymerization with acrylamide and acrylic acid in Fe_3O_4 NPs aqueous suspension. Nitrilotriacetic acid(NTA) was conjugated to the magnetic NPs via well-known carboniimide chemistry using EDC and NHS. The Ni^(2+) ions loaded on the surface of NPs provide abundant docking sites for immobilization of His-tagged green fluorescent proteins(His-tagged GFP). The high magnetic property of Fe_3O_4@PAM@NTA-Ni^(2+) allows an easy separation of the NPs from solution under an external magnetic field, with high His-tagged protein binding capacity(42 μg protein/mg of NPs). The NPs can be recycled for at least four times without significant loss of binding capacity to proteins.
