| 2 | A new perturbation algorithm and enhancing security of SFLASH signature scheme显示文摘This paper introduces the concept of noise factor and noise operation, and constructs a noise group. We present a new perturbation algorithm for enhancing security of multivariate public key cryptosystems (MPKCs). European Consortium SFLASH which derives from Matsumoto-Imai scheme is a fast signature scheme intended for low cost smart cards. It was broken with the differential cryptanalysis by Dubois et al. in 2007. | 3 | High Expression of NKG2A/CD94 and Low Expression of Granzyme B Are Associated with Reduced Cord Blood NK Cell Activity显示文摘Human umbilical cord blood (CB) has recently been used as a source of stem cells in transplantation. NK cells derived from CB are the key effector cells involved in graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) and graft-versus-leukemia (GVL). It was reported that the activity of CB NK cells was lower than that of adult peripheral blood (PB) NK cells. In this study,we analyzed the expression of some NK cell receptors and cytotoxicity-related molecules in CB and PB NK cells. The expressions of activating NK receptors,CD16,NKG2D and NKp46,did not show significant difference between CB and PB NK cells. But the expression of inhibitory receptor NKG2A/CD94 was significantly higher on CB NK cells. As to the effector function molecules,granzyme B was expressed significantly lower in CB NK cells,but the expressions of intracellular perforin,IFN-γ,TNF-α and cell surface FasL and TRAIL did not show difference between CB and PB NK cells. | 7 | Homogeneous Synthesis and Characterization of Quaternized Cellulose Derivatives in NaOH-urea Aqueous Solutions显示文摘Quaternized cellulose( QC) derivatives were synthesized by reacting cellulose with 3-chloro-2-hydroxypropyl trimethyl ammonium chloride( CHPTAC) in an aqueous solution of Na OH-urea. The chemical structures and physical properties of the obtained QC derivatives were characterized using nitrogen content analysis,Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy( FT-IR),~1H-nuclear magnetic resonance(1H-NMR),X-ray diffraction( XRD),and thermal gravity analysis( TGA). The FT-IR and ~1H-NMR results confirmed the successful introduction of cationic quaternary ammonium groups into the main chain of cellulose. A series of QC derivatives with the degree of substitution( DS) values ranging from 0. 33 to 0. 80 were derived by adjusting the molar ratio of CHPTAC to anhydroglucose unit( AGU) of cellulose,concentration of cellulose in the Na OH-urea solution,as well as reaction temperature and time. According to the DS values of the QC derivatives,the optimized synthetic conditions were as follows: 25℃ reaction temperature,3% cellulose in Na OH-urea solution,the molar ratio of etherification agent to glycosidic cellulose of 15∶ 1,and 12 h reaction time. | 9 | Development of P genome-specific SNPs and their application in tracing Agropyron cristatum introgressions in common wheat显示文摘As an important wild relative of wheat, Agropyron cristatum has been successfully used for wheat improvement. Currently, a few useful agronomic traits of A. cristatum, such as high grain number per spike and resistance to diseases, have been transferred into common wheat.However, the effective detection of small A. cristatum segmental introgressions in common wheat is still difficult. The objective of this study was to identify A. cristatum-specific single nucleotide polymorphisms(SNPs) for the detection of small alien segments in wheat. The transcriptome sequences of A. cristatum were aligned against wheat coding DNA sequences(CDS) for SNP calling. As a result, we discovered a total of 167,613 putative SNPs specific to the P genome of A. cristatum compared with the common wheat genomes. Among 230 selected SNPs with functional annotations related to inflorescence development and stress resistance,68 were validated as P genome-specific SNPs in multiple wheat backgrounds using Kompetitive Allele Specific PCR(KASP) assays. Among them, 55 SNPs were assigned to six homoeologous groups of the P genome using wheat-A. cristatum addition lines, and 6 P-specific SNP markers were further physically mapped on different segments of chromosome 6 P in 6 P translocation lines. The P genome-specific SNPs were also validated by Sanger sequencing and used to detect the P chromatin in wheat-A. cristatum cryptic introgression lines. Two SNP markers(Unigene20217-182 and Unigene20307-1420) were detected in two wheat-A. cristatum introgression lines that showed enhanced grain number per spike and high resistance to powdery mildew. | 11 | Introgression of chromosome 6PL terminal segment from Agropyron cristatum to increase both grain number and grain weight in wheat显示文摘Agropyron cristatum(2n=4x=28,PPPP),which harbours many high-yield and disease-resistance genes,is a promising donor for wheat improvement.Narrow genetic diversity and the trade-off between grain weight and grain number have become bottlenecks for increasing grain yield in wheat.In this study,a novel translocation line,WAT650l,was derived from the chromosome 6P addition line 4844–12,which can simultaneously increase both grain number per spike(GNS)and thousand-grain weight(TGW).Cytological analysis and molecular marker analysis revealed that WAT650l was a 5BL.5BS-6PL(bin 12–17)translocation line.Assessment of agronomic traits and analysis of the BC4F2 and BC5F2 populations suggested that the 6PL terminal chromosome segment in WAT650l resulted in increased grain number per spike(average increased by 14.07 grains),thousand-grain weight(average increased by 4.31 g),flag leaf length,plant height,spikelet number per spike and kernel number per spikelet during the two growing seasons of 2020–2021 and 2021–2022.Additionally,the increased GNS locus and high-TGW locus of WAT650l were mapped to the bins 16–17 and 12–13,respectively,on chromosome 6PL by genetic population analysis of three translocation lines.In summary,we provide a valuable germplasm resource for broadening the genetic base of wheat and overcoming the negative relationship between GNS and TGW in wheat breeding. | Yida Lin Shenghui Zhou Xuezhong Liang Bing Han Junli Yang Baojin Guo Jinpeng Zhang Haiming Han Weihua Liu Xinming Yang Xiuquan Li Lihui Li | 2023 | The Crop Journal2023,11,3: | 1 |

| 13 | Using Natural Radionuclides to Trace Sources of Suspended Particles in the Lower Reaches of the Yellow River显示文摘Natural radionuclides are powerful tools for understanding the sources and fate of suspended particulate matter(SPM).Particulate matter with different particle sizes behaves differently with respect to adsorption and desorption.We analyzed the activi-ties and distribution characteristics of multiple natural radionuclides(238U,226Ra,40K,228Ra,7Be and 210Pbex)on size-fractionated SPM at the Lijin Hydrographic Station(Huanghe or Yellow River)every month over a one-year period.Results showed that medium silt(16–32µm)was the main component.As expected,the activity of each radionuclide decreased with an increase of particle size.We examined the sources of SPM with different particle sizes using activity ratios of 226Ra/238U,228Ra/226Ra,40K/238U and 7Be/210Pbex,and concluded that SPM with different particle sizes originated from different sources.Our results indicate that fine SPM(<32µm)was mainly from the erosion of soil along the lower reaches of the Yellow River,while coarse SPM(>32µm)was mainly derived from resuspension of riverbed sediment.During high runoff periods,the concentration of SPM increased significantly,and the pro-portion of fine particles originating upstream increased.Naturally occurring radioactive isotopes,especially on size-fractionated par-ticles,are therefore seen as useful tracers to understand the sources and behaviors of riverine particles transported from land to sea. | ZHANG Han BURNETT CWilliam ZHANG Xiaojie ZHAO Shibin YANG Disong NAN Haiming YU Zhigang XU Bochao | 2024 | Journal of Ocean University of China2024,23,1: | 0 |
| 14 | Chromosome 5P of Agropyron cristatum induces chromosomal translocation by disturbing homologous chromosome pairing in a common wheat background显示文摘Wide hybridization is a strategy for broadening the genetic basis of wheat. Because an efficient method for inducing wheat–alien chromosome translocations will allow producing useful germplasm, it is desirable to discover new genes that induce chromosomal variation. In this study, chromosome 5P from A.cristatum was shown to induce many types of chromosomal structural variation in a common wheat background, including nonhomoeologous chromosome translocations, as revealed by genomic in situ hybridization, fluorescence in situ hybridization, and DNA marker analysis. Aberrant meiosis was associated with chromosomal structural variation, and aberrant meiotic behavior was observed in wheat–A.cristatum 5P monosomic and disomic addition lines, suggesting that the effect of chromosome 5P was independent of the number of chromosome 5P copies. Chromosome 5P disturbed homologous chromosome pairing at pachytene stage in a common wheat background, resulting in a high frequency of univalent formation and reduced crossing over. Thirteen genes involved in DNA repair or chromatin remodeling, including RAD52-like and MSH6 genes, were differentially expressed(upregulated) in wheat–A. cristatum 5P addition lines according to transcriptome analysis, implicating chromosome 5P in the process of meiotic double-strand break repair. | 16 | Electrochemical formation of Mg-La-Mn alloys by coreduction of Mg(Ⅱ),La(Ⅲ)and Mn(Ⅱ)in LiCl+KCl molten salts显示文摘In the present work,cyclic voltammetry(CV),square wave voltammetry(SWV)and chronopotentiometry(CP)were used to investigate the electrochemical coreduction behaviors of La(Ⅲ)and Mg(Ⅱ)as well as La(Ⅲ),Mg(Ⅱ)and Mn(Ⅱ)on Mo electrode in LiCl+KCl molten salts.CV and SWV results exhibit that the coreduction mechanism of La(Ⅲ)and Mg(Ⅱ)on Mo electrode is that La(Ⅲ)is reduced and Mg-La intermetallic compound is formed,leading to the deposition potential of La(Ⅲ)shifting to more positive one.The electrochemical signals pertaining to the formation of metallic La,Mg and Mn as well as Mg-La intermetallic compound are also observed by coreduction of La(Ⅲ),Mg(Ⅱ),and Mn(Ⅱ)in LiCl+KCl molten salt on the inert Mo electrode.However,the electrochemical signals associated with the formation of La-Mn and Mg-Mn alloys are not observed,which means that the depolarization effect of La(Ⅲ)and Mg(Ⅱ)does not occur on pre-deposited Mn electrode.The Mg-La-Mn alloys were formed by co-deposition of La(Ⅲ),Mg(Ⅱ),and Mn(Ⅱ)on Mo electrode at various concentration ratios of La(Ⅲ)and Mg(Ⅱ).The results of scanning electron microscopy equipped with energy dispersive spectroscopy and X-ray diffraction displays that the Mg-La-Mn alloys are comprised of La-Mg compound Mg_(17)La_(2),Mg and Mn phases.The concentration ratio of La(Ⅲ)and Mn(Ⅱ)has few effects on the alloy composition. | Mei Li Yongcheng Zhang Haiming Li Hailing Jiang Wei Han Yang Sun | 2022 | Journal of Rare Earths2022,40,3: | 0 |

| 18 | Joint Frequency and DOA Estimation with Automatic Pairing Using the Rayleigh–Ritz Theorem显示文摘This paper presents a novel scheme for joint frequency and direction of arrival(DOA)estimation,that pairs frequencies and DOAs automatically without additional computations.First,when the property of the Kronecker product is used in the received array signal of the multiple-delay output model,the frequency-angle steering vector can be reconstructed as the product of the frequency steering vector and the angle steering vector.The frequency of the incoming signal is then obtained by searching for the minimal eigenvalue among the smallest eigenvalues that depend on the frequency parameters but are irrelevant to the DOAs.Subsequently,the DOA related to the selected frequency is acquired through some operations on the minimal eigenvector according to the Rayleigh–Ritz theorem,which realizes the natural pairing of frequencies and DOAs.Furthermore,the proposed method can not only distinguish multiple sources,but also effectively deal with other arrays.The effectiveness and superiority of the proposed algorithm are further analyzed by simulations. | Haiming Du Han Gao Wenjing Jia | 2021 | Computers, Materials & Continua2021,,6: | 0 |

| 20 | Saltwater intrusion into groundwater systems in the Mekong Delta and links to global change显示文摘In recent decades,changes in temperature,wind,and rainfall patterns of Southeast Asia induced by climate warming in the Tibetan Plateau result in many environmental changes that have serious impacts on the lower reach of the Mekong River basin,a region already battling severe water-related environmental problems such as pollution,saltwater intrusion,and intensified flooding.In the densely populated Mekong Delta located at the mouth of the Mekong River basin in southern Vietnam,the hydrogeological systems have been transformed from an almost undisturbed to a human-impacted state and saltwater intrusion into surface water and groundwater systems has grown to be a detrimental issue recently,seriously threatening freshwater supply and degrading the eco-environment.In this article,the impacts of human activities and climate change(e.g.,groundwater over-exploitation,relative sea-level rise,storm surge,changing precipitation and temperature regimes,uncontrolled drainage canals,operation of hydropower dams,and rapid development of aquaculture)on saltwater intrusion into groundwater systems in the Mekong Delta are briefly reviewed.Based on current status of research findings regarding saltwater intrusion and the subsequent groundwater quality degradation under the impacts of human activities and climate change,major knowledge gaps and challenges are identified and discussed,including thickness and permeability of the silt and clay aquitard,present-day highly heterogeneous 3D distribution of saline groundwater zones,dynamic variation of saltwater/freshwater transition zone,and the most effective and economical control measure.To bridge these gaps,future work should:1)apply environmental isotope techniques in combination with borehole tests to gain detailed hydrogeological information regarding spatial variation of permeability and thickness of the silt and clay aquitard;2)intensify regular groundwater monitoring and collect as much groundwater samples from multiple hydro-stratigraphic units at different depths as possible to visualize the present-day highly heterogeneous 3D distribution of saline groundwater;3)develop a series of variable-density coupled groundwater flow and salt transport models representing various scenarios of human activities and climate change for predicting future extent of saltwater intrusion;and 4)identify the dominant factor causing saltwater intrusion and determine the most effective and economical engineering technique to address saltwater intrusion problems in the Mekong Delta. | XIAO Han TANG Yin LI Haiming ZHANG Lu NGO-DUC Thanh Deliang CHEN TANG Qiuhong | 2021 | Advances in Climate Change Research2021,12,3: | 0 |
