| 5 | mm Wave communications for 5G: implementation challenges and advances显示文摘The requirement of the fifth generation(5 G) wireless communication for high throughput motivates the wireless industry to use the mm Wave(millimeter wave) communications for its wide bandwidth advantage. To compensate the heavy path loss and increase the communications capacity, phased array beamforming and massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) techniques are employed at both the user equipment(UE) and base stations(BS). Considering the commercial requirements, 5 G mm Wave large array systems should be implemented in an energy-and cost-efficient way with a small form factor. To address above issues and realize a reliable communications link, taking into account the particular characteristics of5 G mm Wave systems, this paper firstly examines the design challenges and trade-offs in system implementations, then some of the design strategies are summarized. Thus, it is indispensable to finish and strengthen the blades before use. This paper presents a comprehensive literature review of studies on finishing and strengthening technologies for the impeller and blisk of aero-engines. | 7 | Dynamic characteristics of an intestine capsule robot with variable diameter显示文摘This paper proposes an intestine capsule robot with variable diameter. It is driven by external rotating magnetic field and has the function of automatic radial clearance compensation. An external magnetic field generating device and a capsule robot with variable diameter are developed. Radial dynamic balance equation and kinematics equation of the capsule robot traveling inside flexible elasto-wall environment are established, and dynamic characteristics of the capsule robot inside flexible elasto-wall pipe and rigid wall pipe environments are analyzed and compared. Simulations and experiment results show that its dynamic characteristics in both pipes are almost the same. Under the action of radial clearance compensation, fluid dynamic pressure around outer surface of the capsule robot and its propulsion, as well as its adaptability to diameter change range, are significantly improved. Its propulsion and moving speed are controlled by adjusting rotating angular speed of the rotating magnetic field. | 8 | Reservoir reconstruction technologies for coalbed methane recovery in deep and multiple seams显示文摘Multiple coal seams widely develop in the deep Chinese coal-bearing strata. Ground in situ stress and coal seam gas pressure increase continuously with the increase of the mining depth, and coal and gas outburst disasters become increasingly severe. When the coal is very deep, the gas content and pressure will elevate and thus coal seams tends to outburst-prone seams. The safety and economics of exploited firstmined coal seams are tremendously restricted. Meanwhile, the multiple seams occurrence conditions resulted in different methane pressure systems in the coal-bearing strata, which made the reservoir reconstruction of coal difficult. Given the characteristics of low saturation, low permeability, strong anisotropy and soft coal of Chinese coal seams, a single hydraulic fracturing surface well for reservoir reconstruction to pre-drain the coalbed methane(CBM) of multiple seams concurrently under the different gas pressure systems has not yet gained any breakthroughs. Based on analyses of the main features of deep CBM reservoirs in China, current gas control methods and the existing challenges in deep and multiple seams, we proposed a new technology for deep CBM reservoir reconstruction to realize simultaneous high-efficiency coal mining and gas extraction. In particular, we determined the first-mined seam according to the principles of effectiveness and economics, and used hydraulic fracturing surface well to reconstruct the first-mined seam which enlarges the selection range of the first-mined seam. During the process of mining first-mined seam, adjacent coal seams could be reconstructed under the mining effect which promoted high-efficiency pressure relief gas extraction by using spatial and comprehensive gas drainage methods(combination of underground and ground CBM extraction methods). A typical integrated reservoir reconstruction technology, ‘‘One well for triple use', was detailed introduced and successfully applied in the Luling coal mine. | 10 | A novel miR167a-OsARF6-OsAUX3 module regulates grain length and weight in rice显示文摘Grain size is one of the most important factors that control rice yield,as it is associated with grain weight(GW).To date,dozens of rice genes that regulate grain size have been isolated;however,the regulatory mechanism underlying GW control is not fully understood.Here,the quantitative trait locus qGL5 for grain length(GL)and GW was identified in recombinant inbred lines of 9311 and Nipponbare(NPB)and fine mapped to a candidate gene,OsAUX3.Sequence variations between 9311 and NPB in the OsAUX3 promoter and loss of function of OsAUX3 led to higher GL and GW.RNA sequencing,gene expression quantification,dual-luciferase reporter assays,chromatin immunoprecipitation-quantitative PCR,and yeast one-hybrid assays demonstrated that OsARF6 is an upstream transcription factor regulating the expression of OsAUX3.OsARF6 binds directly to the auxin response elements of the OsAUX3 promoter,covering a single-nucleotide polymorphism site between 9311 and NPB/Dongjin/Hwayoung,and thereby controls GL by altering longitudinal expansion and auxin distribution/content in glume cells.Furthermore,we showed that miR167a positively regulate GL and GW by directing OsARF6 mRNA silencing.Taken together,our study reveals that a novel miR167a-OsARF6-OsAUX3 module regulates GL and GW in rice,providing a potential target for the improvement of rice yield. | Jiyue Qiao Hongzhen Jiang Yuqing Lin Lianguang Shang Mei Wang Dongming Li Xiangdong Fu Markus Geisler Yanhua Qi Zhenyu Gao Qian Qian | 2021 | Molecular Plant2021,14,10: | 8 |

| 13 | Micro water dissolution machining principle and its application in ultra-precision processing of KDP optical crystal显示文摘In this paper, a micro water dissolution machining(MWDM) principle is proposed for machining potassium dihydrogen phosphate(KDP) crystal using water-in-oil micro-emulsion as an abrasive-free polishing fluid. In addition, two instances of the application of this principle to ultra-precision machining of KDP crystals are presented. Computer-controlled optical surfacing(CCOS) and diamond wire cutting(DWC) process were carried out according to the MWDM principle. In the case of the CCOS technology, it is found that the micro-waviness was removed completely by following the MWDM principle. The surface undulation decreased from 40 nm to less than 10 nm, and the surface root-mean-square(rms) roughness obviously reduced from 8.147 to 2.660 nm. In the case of the DWC process, the surface rms roughness reduced from 8.012 to 2.391 μm, and the cutting efficiency was improved. | 17 | Impact of RF mismatches on the performance of massive MIMO systems with ZF precoding显示文摘Thanks to the channel reciprocity, the time division duplex(TDD) operation is more preferred in massive multiple-input multiple-output(MIMO) systems. Avoiding the heavy feedback of downlink channel state information(CSI) from the user equipment(UE) to the base station(BS), the uplink CSI can be exploited for the downlink precoding. However, due to the mismatches of the radio frequency(RF) circuits at both sides of the link, the whole communication channels are usually not symmetric in practical systems. This paper is focused on the RF mismatches at the UEs and the BS for the multi-user massive MIMO systems with zero forcing(ZF) precoding. The closed-form expressions of the ergodic sum-rates are derived for evaluating the impact of RF mismatches on the system performance. Theoretical analysis and simulation results show that the RF mismatches at the UEs only lead to a negligible performance loss. | 18 | Effects of capture and captivity on plasma corticosterone and metabolite levels in breeding Eurasian Tree Sparrows显示文摘Background: Bringing free-living animals into captivity subjects them to the stress of both capture and captivity, leading to the alteration of normal physiological processes and behaviors through activation of the hypothalamic– pituitary–adrenal axis. In free-living birds, although elevated plasma corticosterone (CORT) is an important adaptation regulating physiological and behavioral responses during the process of capture and captivity stress, little information is currently available on the effects of such stress on plasma metabolite levels. Methods: We examined the effects of immediate capture and 24-h captivity on body mass, body condition, plasma CORT, and metabolite levels including glucose (Glu), triglyceride (TG), total cholesterol (TC), uric acid (UA), in breeding Eurasian Tree Sparrows (Passer montanus). Results: CORT and Glu levels were increased significantly by the stress of capture, whereas TC and UA levels decreased. Body mass, body condition declined notably after 24 h in captivity, but CORT, Glu, and UA levels increased. Furthermore, male sparrows had lower TG levels after both capture and captivity than those of females. The relationships between plasma CORT and metabolite levels varied between sexes. Conclusions: Our results revealed that the metabolic status of Eurasian Tree Sparrows could be dramatically altered by capture and captivity. Meanwhile, the prototype filter affects the adjacent channel interference, and therefore is important for FBMC systems. Besides, once the amorphous network is taken into account, the requirement for interference controlmust be much stricter. Accordingly, this paper focuses on the design of prototype filter with better ability of interference controlling, where we exploit the nonlinear phase FIR filter(NLPFF) instead of traditional linear phase FIR filter(LPFF) to achieve more optimization spaces under a small sacrifice of linear phase. In ourdesigns, both the amplitude and phase responsesare handled independently to approach the stopband performance enhancements, in while the nearly perfect reconstruction(NPR) conditionsare relaxed by pre-specified thresholds.
