1Insight-HXMT observations of the first binary neutron star merger GW170817显示文摘Finding the electromagnetic(EM) counterpart of binary compact star merger, especially the binary neutron star(BNS) merger,is critically important for gravitational wave(GW) astronomy, cosmology and fundamental physics. On Aug. 17, 2017,Advanced LIGO and Fermi/GBM independently triggered the first BNS merger, GW170817, and its high energy EM counterpart,GRB 170817 A, respectively, resulting in a global observation campaign covering gamma-ray, X-ray, UV, optical, IR, radio as well as neutrinos. The High Energy X-ray telescope(HE) onboard Insight-HXMT(Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope) is the unique high-energy gamma-ray telescope that monitored the entire GW localization area and especially the optical counterpart(SSS17 a/AT2017 gfo) with very large collection area(~1000 cm^2) and microsecond time resolution in 0.2-5 MeV. In addition,Insight-HXMT quickly implemented a Target of Opportunity(ToO) observation to scan the GW localization area for potential X-ray emission from the GW source. Although Insight-HXMT did not detect any significant high energy(0.2-5 MeV) radiation from GW170817, its observation helped to confirm the unexpected weak and soft nature of GRB 170817 A. Meanwhile,Insight-HXMT/HE provides one of the most stringent constraints(~10^(-7) to 10^(-6) erg/cm^2/s) for both GRB170817 A and any other possible precursor or extended emissions in 0.2-5 MeV, which help us to better understand the properties of EM radiation from this BNS merger. 2The enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP显示文摘In this paper we present the enhanced X-ray Timing and Polarimetry mission—eXTP. eXTP is a space science mission designed to study fundamental physics under extreme conditions of density, gravity and magnetism. The mission aims at determining the equation of state of matter at supra-nuclear density, measuring effects of QED, and understanding the dynamics of matter in strong-field gravity. In addition to investigating fundamental physics, eXTP will be a very powerful observatory for astrophysics that will provide observations of unprecedented quality on a variety of galactic and extragalactic objects. 4The heterogeneity of islet autoantibodies and the progression of islet failure in type 1 diabetic patients显示文摘Type 1 diabetes mellitus is heterogeneous in many facets. The patients suffered from type 1 diabetes present several levels of islet function as well as variable number and type of islet-specific autoantibodies. This study was to investigate prevalence and heterogeneity of the islet autoantibodies and clinical phenotypes of type 1 diabetes mellitus; and also discussed the process of islet failure and its risk factors in Chinese type 1 diabetic patients. A total of 1,291 type 1 diabetic patients were enrolled in this study. Demographic information was collected. Laboratory tests including mixed-meal tolerance test, human leukocyte antigen alleles, hemoglobin A1 c, lipids, thyroid function and islet autoantibodies were conducted. The frequency of islet-specific autoantibody in newly diagnosed T1 DM patients(duration shorter than half year) was 73% in East China. According to binary logistic regressions, autoantibody positivity, longer duration and lower Body Mass Index were the risk factors of islet failure. As the disease developed, autoantibodies against glutamic acid decarboxylase declined as well as the other two autoantibodies against zinc transporter 8 and islet antigen 2. The decrease of autoantibodies was positively correlated with aggressive beta cell destruction. Autoantibodies can facilitate the identification of classic T1 DM from other subtypes and predict the progression of islet failure. 5A cross-linked polyacrylamide electrolyte with high ionic conductivity for compressible supercapacitors with wide temperature tolerance显示文摘The development of compressible supercapacitors (SCs) that is tolerant to wide temperature range has been severely hindered due to the poor ionic conductivity and absence of extra functions in conventional polymer electrolytes.Herein,a highly conductive and compressible hydrogel polyelectrolyte has been prepared from polyacrylamide cross-linked by methacrylated graphene oxide (MGO-PAM) and the polyelectrolyte can maintain its excellent elasticity at-30 ℃ as well as its original shape at 100 ℃.As a result,the SC based on the MGO-PAM polyelectrolyte outperformed those fabricated with the conventional poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA)/H2SO4 electrolyte over a wide temperature window between-30 and 100 ℃.Meanwhile,the device shows an excellent cycling stability (capacitance retention of 93.3% after 8,000 cycles at-30 ℃ and 76.5 % after 4,000 cycles under 100 ℃) and a reversible compressibility (a high capacitance retention of 94.1% under 80% compression).Therefore,the MGO-PAM polyelectrolyte enables the fabrication of compressible SCs with a wide operating temperature,rendering new insights for developing next-generation robust and multifunctional energy-storage devices.Xuting Jin Guoqiang Sun Guofeng Zhang Hongsheng Yang Yukun Xiao Jian Gao Zhipan Zhang Liangti Qu 2019Nano Research2019,12,5:4
6Development of Human in vitro Brain-blood Barrier Model from Induced Pluripotent Stem Cell-derived Endothelial Cells to Predict the in vivo Permeability of Drugs显示文摘An in vitro blood-brain barrier(BBB) model is critical for enabling rapid screening of the BBB permeability of the drugs targeting on the central nervous system.Though many models have been developed, their reproducibility and renewability remain a challenge. Furthermore, drug transport data from many of the models do not correlate well with the data for in vivo BBB drug transport.Induced-pluripotent stem cell(i PSC) technology provides reproducible cell resources for in vitro BBB modeling.Here, we generated a human in vitro BBB model by differentiating the human i PSC(hi PSC) line GM25256 into brain endothelial-type cells. The model displayed BBB characteristics including tight junction proteins(ZO-1,claudin-5, and occludin) and endothelial markers(von Willebrand factor and Ulex), as well as high transendothelial electrical resistance(TEER)(1560 X.cm2±230 X.cm2) and c-GTPase activity. Co-culture with primary rat astrocytes significantly increased the TEER of the model(2970 X.cm2 to 4185 X.cm2). RNAseq analysis confirmed the expression of key BBB-related genes in the hi PSC-derived endothelial cells in comparison with primary human brain microvascular endothelial cells,including P-glycoprotein(Pgp) and breast cancer resistant protein(BCRP). Drug transport assays for nine CNS compounds showed that the permeability of non-Pgp/BCRP and Pgp/BCRP substrates across the model was strongly correlated with rodent in situ brain perfusion data for these compounds(R2= 0.982 and R2= 0.9973,respectively), demonstrating the functionality of the drug transporters in the model. 7Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. 8Ecdysteroids in the adults and eggs of Opogona sacchari (Bojer),an invasive alien pest显示文摘In order to understand the composition and quantitative variation of ecdysteriods in the adults and eggs of Opogona sacchari (Bojer), an invasive alien pest, we analyzed the ecdysteroid composition and titers in the adult and egg of this pest. On day 4 after eclosion, the titer of ecdysteriods in the male adult was 0.080 ng/adult, much lower than 5.978 ng/adult in the female adult. During the development of ovaries, the titer of ecdysteriods was low on the first two days, and high in the late period, with the peak (10.48 ng/ovary) appearing on day 3. During the development of eggs, the titer of ecdysteriods was about 0.010 ng/egg from day 1 to day 3, and then decreased to 0.006 ng/egg on day 4. In both adults and eggs, three main components of ecdysteriods were found by identification of HPLC/RIA. 18腹腔镜肝肿瘤切除术15例报道(英文)显示文摘Objective:The aim of our study was to retrospectively analyze 15 patients' clinical materials with laparoscopic resection of liver neoplasms.Methods:From December 2007,a total of 15 patients with liver neoplasms were performed with laparoscopic hepatectomy,and their clinical materials,perioperative dates,postoperative complications,postoperative recovery and short-term curative effects were analyzed and summarized respectively.Results:Laparoscopic hepatectomy(LH) were performed in 15 patients,including 1 case underwent laparoscopic hepatic left lobectomy,1 case of left lateral hepatectomy,13 cases of partial liver resection.Fourteen cases of total laparoscopic liver resections for liver neoplasms,1 case of hand-assisted laparoscopic liver resection of the tumor,there was no conversion to open approach.Of the 15 patients with liver neoplasms,13 cases of hepatic neoplasms with the maximum diameter was 8 cm x 8 cm × 9 cm,9 cases of the borderline micro hepatocellular carcinoma(MHCC) with the diameter not more than 2 cm,3 cases of hepatic benign tumor.The mean operation time was(120 ± 30) min,and the intraoperative average hemorrhage was 100 mL,beginning to eat and get out of bed following 1-2 days of operation.The average postoperative hospitalization was 8 days,WBC,ALT,AST,albumin,bilirubin returned to normal after one week of operation.There were no postoperative complications such as hemorrhage,bile leakage or air embolism etc.Twelve patients with HCC were confirmed by postoperative pathology,1 case of liver smooth muscle lipoma,2 case of hepatic hemangioma.By one year of followed-up in 12 cases of HCC,the longest survival was 38 months,and no recurrence or death,1 year survival rate was 100%.Conclusion:Among the choice of cases,the advantages of LH for liver neoplasms compared with open surgery were less trauma,faster recovery and less blood loss.it is safe and effective for choosing a reasonable surgical indication,especially for peripheral micro hepatocellular carcinoma.Dongfang Huang Jinsheng Wu Jianhuai Zhang Shaochuang Wang Lei Liu Fuzhen Qi Dianhua Gu Yebo Wang Ling Liu Guofeng Chen Ping Wang Gang Xu Yong Sun Yong Cai 2012The Chinese-German Journal of Clinical Oncology2012,11,5:0
19Chromosome-level assembly and analysis of the Thymus genome provide insights into glandular secretory trichome formation and monoterpenoid biosynthesis in thyme显示文摘Thyme has medicinal and aromatic value because of its potent antimicrobial and antioxidant properties.However,the absence of a fully sequenced thyme genome limits functional genomic studies of Chinese native thymes.Thymus quinquecostatus Celak.,which contains large amounts of bioactive monoterpenes suchas thymol and carvacrol,is an important wild medicinal and aromatic plant in China.Monoterpenoids are abundant in glandular secretory trichomes.Here,high-fidelity and chromatin conformation capture technologies were used to assemble and annotate the T.quinquecostatus genome at the chromosome level.The 13 chromosomes of T.quinquecostatus had a total length of 528.66 Mb,a contig N50 of 8.06 Mb,and a BUSCO score of 97.34%.We found that T.quinquecostatus had experienced two whole-genome duplications,with the most recent event occurring4.34 million years ago.Deep analyses of the genome,in conjunction with comparative genomic,phylogenetic,transcriptomic,and metabonomic studies,uncovered many regulatory factors and genes related to monoterpenoids and glandular secretory trichome development.Genes encoding terpene synthase(TPS),cytochrome P450 monooxygenases(CYPs),short-chain dehydrogenase/reductase(SDR),R2R3-MYB,and homeodomain-leucine zipper(HD-ZIP)IV were among those present in the T.quinquecostatus genome.Notably,Tq02G002290.1(TqTPS1)was shown to encode the terpene synthase responsible for catalyzing production of the main monoterpene product g-terpinene from geranyl diphosphate(GPP).Our study provides significant insight into the mechanisms of glandular secretory trichome formation and monoterpenoid biosynthesis in thyme.This work will facilitate the development of molecular breeding tools to enhance the production of bioactive secondary metabolites in Lamiaceae.Meiyu Sun Yanan Zhang Li Zhu Ningning Liu Hongtong Bai Guofeng Sun Jinzheng Zhang Lei Shi 2022Plant Communications2022,3,6:0
20Stable multi-electron reaction stimulated by W doping VS_(4)for enhancing magnesium storage performance显示文摘Rechargeable magnesium batteries(RMBs)hold promise for offering higher volumetric energy density and safety features,attracting increasing research interest as the next post lithium-ion batteries.Developing high performance cathode material by inducing multi-electron reaction process as well as maintaining structural stability is the key to the development and application of RMBs.Herein,multielectron reaction occurred in VS_(4)by simple W doping strategy.W doping induces valence of partial V as V^(2+)and V^(3+)in VS_(4)structure,and then stimulates electrochemical reaction involving multi-electrons in 0.5%W-V-S.The flower-like microsphere morphology as well as rich S vacancies is also modulated by W doping to neutralize structure change in such multi-electron reaction process.The fabricated 0.5%W-V-S delivers higher specific capacity(149.3 m A h g^(-1)at 50 m A g^(-1),which is 1.6 times higher than that of VS_(4)),superior rate capability(76 mA h g^(-1)at 1000 mA g^(-1)),and stable cycling performance(1500cycles with capacity retention ratio of 93.8%).Besides that,pesudocapaticance-like contribution analysis as well as galvanostatic intermittent titration technique(GITT)further confirms the enhanced Mg^(2+)storage kinetics during such multi-electron involved electrochemical reaction process.Such discovery provides new insights into the designing of multi-electron reaction process in cathode as well as neutralizing structural change during such reaction for realizing superior electrochemical performance in energy storage devices.Yuxin Tian Jiankang Chen Guofeng Wang Bing Sun Alan Meng Lei Wang Guicun Li Jianfeng Huang Shiqi Ding Zhenjiang Li 2024Journal of Energy Chemistry2024,89,2:0
