1SNP-based linkage mapping for validation of adult plant stripe rust resistance QTL in common wheat cultivar Chakwal 86显示文摘Wheat crops in China are constantly challenged by stripe rust. Deployment of cultivars with diverse resistances is the best strategy to control the disease. A recombinant inbred line(RIL) population derived from a cross between the resistant cultivar Chakwal 86 and susceptible landrace Mingxian 169 was studied in multiple environments to examine the underlying genetics and to identify quantitative trait loci(QTL) for stripe rust resistance.One hundred and twenty-eight RILs were genotyped with wheat 35 K SNP array and a genome-wide linkage map with 1480 polymorphic SNP markers, or bins, was constructed.Two major QTL on chromosomes 1BL and 3BS, and one minor QTL on 6BS had significant effects in reducing stripe rust severity. The QTL were validated using composite interval mapping(CIM) and inclusive composite interval mapping(ICIM). These methods explained59.0%–74.1% of the phenotype variation in disease response. The QTL on chromosome 1 BL was confirmed to be Yr29/Lr46 and the one on 3BS was the resistance allele identified in CIMMYT germplasm but was not Yr30/Sr2. The QTL on 6BS probably corresponded to previously known QTL. RILs with combined QTL were more resistant than those with single or no QTL. Kompetitive allele-specific PCR(KASP) assays for the QTL with largest effect QTL on chromosome 3BS were performed on a subset of RILs and 150 unrelated wheat lines. 2Scalable synthesis of Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C with high safety and ultrahigh-rate performance for sodium-ion batteries显示文摘NASICON-type Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) is a promising electrode material for developing advanced sodium-ion batteries.Preparing Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) with good performance by a cost-effective and large-scale method is significant for industrial applications.In this work,a porous Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C cathode material with excellent electrochemical performance is successfully prepared by an agar-gel combined with freeze-drying method.The Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C cathode displayed specific capacities of 113.4 mAh·g^(-1),107.0 mAh·g^(-1) and 87.1 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.1 C,1 C and 10 C,respectively.For the first time,the 500-mAh soft-packed symmetrical sodium-ion batteries based on Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C electrodes are successfully fabricated.The 500-mAh symmetrical batteries exhibit outstanding low temperature performance with a capacity retention of 83%at 0℃ owing to the rapid sodium ion migration ability and structural stability of Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C.Moreover,the thermal runaway features are revealed by accelerating rate calorimetry(ARC)test for the first time.Thermal stability and safety of the symmetrical batteries are demonstrated to be better than lithium-ion batteries and some reported sodium-ion batteries.Our work makes it clear that the soft-packed symmetrical sodium ion batteries based on Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C have a prospect of practical application in high safety requirement fields.Guijia Cui Hong Wang Fengping Yu Haiying Che Xiaozhen Liao Linsen Li Weimin Yang Zifeng Ma 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,6:2
3Immune-adjuvant loaded Bi2Se3 nanocage for photothermal-improved PD-L1 checkpoint blockade immune-tumor metastasis therapy显示文摘Checkpoint blockade based immune therapy has shown to be effective but benefit only the minority of patients whose tumors have been pre-infiltrated by T cells. To overcome this obstacles, a PEG-modified Bi2Se3 nanocage (NC) loaded with imiquimod (R848), which could efficiently destroy the tumors thus producing enough tumor-associated antigens (TAA) and with the existence of R848, a toll-like-receptor-7 agonist, could generate strong anti-cancer immune responses is reported in this study. Moreover, immunogenic Bi2Se3 NC-PEG/R848 mediated photothermal therapy (PTT) sensitizes tumors to checkpoint inhibition mediated by a PD-L1 antibody, not only ablating cancer cells upon NIR laser but also causing strong anti-cancer immunity to suppress distant tumor growth post PTT. Both in vitro and in vivo experiments demonstrate that the Bi2Se3 NC-PEG/R848 could effectively activate a PTT-induced immune response as well as silence immune resistance based on PD-L1 checkpoint blockade to ablate the primary tumor and further inhibit the tumor metastasis. Bi2Se3 NC reported here exhibits high photothermal conversion efficiency and stability, as well as competent drug loading capacity with large hollow structures and high surface area. 6Determination of carbon-fixing potential of Bathyarchaeota in marine sediment by DNA stable isotope probing analysis显示文摘Bathyarchaeota is believed to play a crucial role in the global carbon cycle due to its vast biomass,broad distribution,and diverse habitat.However,its physiological and metabolic features are hard to determine without pure culture.While metagenomic analyses have shown that Bathyarchaeota has a complete inorganic carbon fixation(Wood-Ljungdahl,WL)pathway,no direct functional confirmation has been reported.To explore the inorganic carbon fixation ability of Bathyarchaeota,we used lignin and sodium bicarbonate-^(13)C(NaH^(13)CO_(3))in the long-term incubation of marine sediment samples.We found that Bathyarchaeota grew continuously in the cultivation system with lignin,and its abundance increased up to 15.3 times after10 months,increasing its fraction of all archaea from 30%to 80%.We monitored theδ^(13)C of total organic carbon to identify microbial carbon fixation in the cultivation systems,finding that it increased in the first month while NaH^(13)CO_(3)was present but only increased continuously afterward when lignin was also present.Furthermore,ultracentrifugation was performed on DNA extracted from samples at different cultivation stages to separate DNA of different buoyant densities,and bathyarchaeotal and bacterial 16S ribosomal RNA(r RNA)gene abundance were quantified using qPCR.Compared to bacteria,bathyarchaeotal 16S rRNA tended to be concentrated in heavy layers after 4 months of incubation with lignin and NaH^(13)CO_(3),indicating that Bathyarchaeota DNA contained^(13)C through proliferation based on lignin utilization and NaH^(13)CO_(3)assimilation,proving the carbon fixation capacity of Bathyarchaeota.Wenyue LIANG Tiantian YU Liang DONG Zhongjun JIA Fengping WANG 2023Science China Earth Sciences2023,66,4:0
7Mobile-Service Based Max-Min Fairness Resource Scheduling for Heterogeneous Vehicular Networks显示文摘This paper investigates the resource scheduling for heterogeneous vehicular networks, where some moving vehicles are selected and scheduled as helping relays to assist information transmission between the roadside infrastructure and other moving vehicles. For such a system, we propose a mobile-service based max-min fairness resource scheduling scheme, where service amount which is more suitable for high mobility scenarios is adopted to characterize the information transmission capacity of the links and the max-min criteria is adopted to meet the fairness requirement of the moving vehicles. Simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of our proposed scheme. 8Widespread Bathyarchaeia encode a novel methyltransferase utilizing lignin-derived aromatics显示文摘Lignin degradation is a major process in the global carbon cycle across both terrestrial and marine ecosystems.Bathyarchaeia,which are among the most abundant microorganisms in marine sediment,have been proposed to mediate anaerobic lignin degradation.However,the mechanism of bathyarchaeial lignin degradation remains unclear.Here,we report an enrichment culture of Bathy-archaeia,named Candidatus Baizosediminiarchaeum ligniniphilus DL1YTT001(Ca.B.ligniniphilus),from coastal sediments that can grow with lignin as the sole organic carbon source under mesophilic anoxic conditions.Ca.B.ligniniphilus possesses and highly expresses novel methyltransferase 1(MT1,mtgB)for transferring methoxyl groups from lignin monomers to cob(I)alamin.MtgBs have no homology with known microbial methyltransferases and are present only in bathyarchaeial lineages.Heterologous expression of the mtgB gene confirmed O-demethylation activity.The mtgB genes were identified in metagenomic data sets from a wide range of coastal sediments,and they were highly expressed in coastal sediments from the East China Sea.These findings suggest that Bathyarchaeia,capable of O-demethylation via their novel and specific methyltransferases,are ubiquitous in coastal sediments.Tiantian Yu Haining Hu Xianhong Zeng Yinzhao Wang Donald Pan Longhui Deng Lewen Liang Jialin Hou Fengping Wang 2023mLife2023,2,3:0
9Association between SLC17A7 gene polymorphisms and venlafaxine for major depressive disorder in a Chinese Han population:a prospective pharmacogenetic case-control study显示文摘Objective: Venlafaxine is a common antidepressant and its therapeutic effect varies among people with different genetic backgrounds. The aim of this study was to investigate whether single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) in theSLC17A7 gene are associated with the treatment outcome of venlafaxine in a Chinese Han population with major depressive disorder.Methods: This prospective pharmacogenetic case-control study that involved genotyping of four SNPs ofSLC17A7 was conducted on 175 major depressive disorder patients of Chinese Han origin, aged 18 to 65 years, participated in the study from April 2005 to September 2006. Comparisons of allele and genotype frequencies of all SNPs were performed between the responder/remission group and the nonresponder/nonremission group. This study was approved by the Institutional Ethics Committee of Sichuan University (approval No. 20151112-265).Results: The allele and genotype frequencies of the four candidate SNPs inSCL17A7 showed no significant difference between responders and nonresponders. Meanwhile, no significant difference was detected in the four investigatedSLC17A7 SNPs between patients who did and did not exhibit remission. 11Enrichment of anchoring sites by introducing supramolecular halogen bonds for the efficient perovskite nanocrystal LEDs显示文摘Considering the multi-functionalization of ligands,it is crucial for ligand molecular design to reveal the landscape of anchoring sites.Here,a typical triphenylphosphine(TPP)ligand was employed to explore its effect on the surface of CsPbI_(3)perovskite nanocrystals(PNCs).Except for the conventionally considered P-Pb coordination,an P-I supramolecular halogen bonding was also found on the NC surface.The coexistence of the above two types of bonding significantly increased the formation energy of iodine vacancy defects and improved the photoluminescence quantum yield of PNCs up to 93%.Meanwhile,the direct interaction of P and I enhanced the stability of the Pb-I octahedra and dramatically inhibited the migration of I ions.Furthermore,the introduction of additional benzene rings(2-(Diphenylphosphino)-biphenyl(DPB))increased the delocalized properties of the PNC surface and significantly improved the charge transport of the PNCs.As a result,the DPB passivated CsPbI_(3)NCs based top-emitting LEDs exhibite a peak external quantum efficiency(EQE)of 22.8%,a maximum luminance of 15,204 cd m^(−2),and an extremely low-efficiency roll-off of 2.6%at the current density of 500 mA cm^(−2).Po Lu Ting Li Min Lu Cheng Ruan Siqi Sun Zhennan Wu Yuan Zhong Fujun Zhang Yanbo Gao Yaowei Huang Yang Wang Junhua Hu Fengping Yan Yu Zhang 2023Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,10:0
