| 1 | Discriminating mild from critical COVID-19 by innate and adaptive immune single-cell profiling of bronchoalveolar lavages显示文摘How the innate and adaptive host immune system miscommunicate to worsen COVID-19 immunopathology has not been fully elucidated.Here,we perform single-cell deep-immune profiling of bronchoalveolar lavage(BAL)samples from 5 patients with mild and 26 with critical COVID-19 in comparison to BALs from non-COVID-19 pneumonia and normal lung.We use pseudotime inference to build T-cell and monocyte-to-macrophage trajectories and model gene expression changes along them.In mild COVID-19,CD8^(+)resident-memory(TRM)and CD4^(+)T-helper-17(T_(H17))cells undergo active(presumably antigen-driven)expansion towards the end of the trajectory,and are characterized by good effector functions,while in critical COVID-19 they remain more naïve.Vice versa,CD4^(+)T-cells with T-helper-1 characteristics(TH1-like)and CD8^(+)T-cells expressing exhaustion markers(T_(EX)-like)are enriched halfway their trajectories in mild COVID-19,where they also exhibit good effector functions,while in critical COVID-19 they show evidence of inflammation-associated stress at the end of their trajectories.Monocyte-to-macrophage trajectories show that chronic hyperinflammatory monocytes are enriched in critical COVID-19,while alveolar macrophages,otherwise characterized by anti-inflammatory and antigen-presenting characteristics,are depleted.In critical COVID-19,monocytes contribute to an ATP-purinergic signaling-inflammasome footprint that could enable COVID-19 associated fibrosis and worsen disease-severity.Finally,viral RNA-tracking reveals infected lung epithelial cells,and a significant proportion of neutrophils and macrophages that are involved in viral clearance. | Els Wauters Pierre Van Mol Abhishek Dinkarnath Garg Sander Jansen Yannick Van Herck Lore Vanderbeke Ayse Bassez Bram Boeckx Bert Malengier-Devlies Anna Timmerman Thomas Van Brussel Tina Van Buyten Rogier Schepers Elisabeth Heylen Dieter Dauwe Christophe Dooms Jan Gunst Greet Hermans Philippe Meersseman Dries Testelmans Jonas Yserbyt Sabine Tejpar Walter De Wever Patrick Matthys CONTAGIOUS collaborators Johan Neyts Joost Wauters Junbin Qian Diether Lambrechts | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,3: | 11 |
| 2 | HIsmelt炼铁工艺显示文摘非高炉炼铁HIsmelt工艺特征是:向熔池内直接喷吹铁矿粉和煤粉,形成熔炼炉下部的熔炼和上部鼓入富氧热风形成的二次燃烧。其核心是:通过喷溅完成上部燃烧区(高氧势)到下部熔炼区(低氧势)的热传递。西澳奎纳纳(Kwinana)建成首座80万t/a的HIsmelt工厂。2005年4~10月完成热调试,从此进入长时间的生产摸索期。主体冶炼工艺表明其生产率可达设计产能的75%~80%,主工艺喷吹煤比约为800kg/t。热矿喷吹系统(外围)可进一步优化,如果2010年市场形势好转,将对其进行改进,并会将熔炼炉排出的煤气引入矿粉预热器,以期提高生产率,接近设计产能的100%,且煤比降至约700kg/t。由于一些原因,工厂作业率不是很理想。低的作业率(即频繁开停)导致耐材寿命很短。为了延长耐材寿命,2008年工厂安装了一套铜质水冷渣线冷却器,显著延长了炉役周期,并极大提升了工厂的操作水平。HIsmelt的熔炼炉是关键所在,除此外其他影响作业率的因素在奎纳纳已不是问题。目前就是不断解决限制产能发挥的各种问题。 | Neil Goodman Rod Dry 王东彦(译) 关运泽(校) | 2010 | 世界钢铁2010,,2: | 10 |
| 3 | STUDY ON THE DYNAMIC PROCESS OF RILL EROSION OF LOESS SLOPE SURFACE显示文摘Rill erosion is a dominant process of morphological evolution of the Loess Plateau in China, and deliveries much loess sediment to rivers. Data from two flume experiments conducted on the bare and glass-covered beds indicated that the till flow develops into a series of rolling waves. The shear stress on the rill bed distributes unevenly both spatially and temporally. A new method based on the energy conservation law is proposed in this study. Thus the relationship between the runoff energy consumption from the interaction of water flow and slope bed and soil detachment is formulated. The results showed that the data for the soil detachment rate on slope (Dr) and the energy consumption of runoff (E1) fitted well with newly-developed function. | 4 | Current understanding of grapevine defense mechanisms against the biotrophic fungus (Erysiphe necator), the causal agent of powdery mildew disease显示文摘The most economically important disease of cultivated grapevines worldwide is powdery mildew(PM)caused by the ascomycete fungus Erysiphe necator.The majority of grapevine cultivars used for wine,table grape,and dried fruit production are derived from the Eurasian grape species Vitis vinifera because of its superior aroma and flavor characteristics.However,this species has little genetic resistance against E.necator meaning that grape production is highly dependent on the frequent use of fungicides.The integration of effective genetic resistance into cultivated grapevines would lead to significant financial and environmental benefits and represents a major challenge for viticultural industries and researchers worldwide.This review will outline the strategies being used to increase our understanding of the molecular basis of V.vinifera susceptibility to this fungal pathogen.It will summarize our current knowledge of different resistance loci/genes that have evolved in wild grapevine species to restrict PM infection and assess the potential application of these defense genes in the generation of PM-resistant grapevine germplasm.Finally,it addresses future research priorities which will be important in the rapid identification,evaluation,and deployment of new PM resistance genes which are capable of conferring effective and durable resistance in the vineyard. | Wenping Qiu Angela Feechan Ian Dry | 2015 | Horticulture Research2015,2,1: | 7 |
| 5 | Silicon and silicon nitride photonic circuits for spectroscopic sensing on-a-chip [Invited]显示文摘There is a rapidly growing demand to use silicon and silicon nitride(Si3N4) integrated photonics for sensing applications, ranging from refractive index to spectroscopic sensing. By making use of advanced CMOS technology,complex miniaturized circuits can be easily realized on a large scale and at a low cost covering visible to mid-IR wavelengths. In this paper we present our recent work on the development of silicon and Si3N4-based photonic integrated circuits for various spectroscopic sensing applications. We report our findings on waveguide-based absorption, and Raman and surface enhanced Raman spectroscopy.
