1Plasma levels of omentin-1 and visfatin in senile patients with coronary heart disease and heart failure显示文摘Objective:To investigate the alteration of plasma levels of omentin-1 and visfatin in elderly patients with coronary heart disease(CHD)and heart failure.Methods:Plasma omentin-1 and visfatin levels were measured in 90 subjects(29 stable angina pectoris(SAP)cases,30 unstable angina pectoris(UAP)cases and 31 age-and sex-matched healthy controls(age≥60 years)by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay methods.According to the New York Heart Association classification.59 CHDs were divided into three groups:functional I class,11 cases;functional II/III class,36 cases;and functional IV class,12 cases.Results:The plasma level of omentin-1in CHO patients was significantly lower than thai of the control group.Otnenlin-lin SAP group and UAP group were significantly lower compared to the control group(there was no statistical significance between UAP group and SAP group;P>0.05).The plasma level of visfatin in CHD patients was significandy higher than that of the control group.Similarly,visfatin in SAP group and UAP group were all significantly higher compared to the control group,while there was no statistical significance between UAP group,and SAP group.The plasma omentin-1 level was negatively correlated with SBP(r=-0.264,P<0.05),positively correlated with HDL-c level(r=0.271,P<0.05);the plasma visfatin level was positively correlated with TC(r=0.292,P<0.05),negatively correlated with HDL-c level(r=-0.266,P<0.05).There was a negative correlation between plasma omentin-1 and visfatin levels(r=-0.280,P<0.05).Moreover,multiple linear stepwise regression analysis showed that omentin-1 and visfatin levels might be affected by HDL-c level.Logistic regression analysis showed that visfatin could be an independent risk factor of CHD.Conclusions:Decreased levels of omentin-1 and increased levels of visfatin may be involved in the occurrence and development of CHD.Omentin-1 and visfatin,independently,may be protective and pro-inflammatory cytokines.Additionally,both omentin-1 and visfatin may be related to lipid metabolism.Visfatin may be an independent risk factor of CHD.Xiu-Hua Wang Ling-Zhi Dou Can Gu Xiao-Qing Wang 2014Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2014,7,1:38
2Current status of surgical treatment of rectal cancer in China显示文摘With the changing lifestyle and the acceleration of aging in the Chinese population,the incidence and mortality of colorectal cancer(CRC)have risen in the last decades.On the contrary,the incidence and mortality of CRC have continued to decline in the USA since the 1980s,which is mainly attributed to early screening and standardized diagnosis and treatment.Rectal cancer accounts for the largest proportion of CRC in China,and its treatment regimens are complex.At present,surgical treatment is still the most important treatment for rectal cancer.Since the first Chinese guideline for diagnosis and treatment of CRC was issued in 2010,the fourth version has been revised in 2020.These guidelines have greatly promoted the standardization and internationalization of CRC diagnosis and treatment in China.And with the development of comprehensive treatment methods such as neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy,targeted therapy,and immunotherapy,the post-operative quality of life and prognosis of patients with rectal cancer have improved.We believe that the inflection point of the rising incidence and mortality of rectal cancer will appear in the near future in China.This article reviewed the current status and research progress on surgical therapy of rectal cancer in China.Yong Yang Han-Yang Wang Yong-Kang Chen Jia-Jia Chen Can Song Jin Gu 2020Chinese Medical Journal2020,,22:21
3Relationship between brain—derived neurotrophic factor and cognitive function of obstructive sleep apnea/hypopnea syndrome patients显示文摘Objective:To determine the relationship between the blood serum brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF) level and cognitive function deterioration in patients with obstructive sleep apnea/ hypopnea syndrome(OSAHS),and to explore the possible mechanism of cognitive impairment. Methods:Twenty-eight male OSAHS patients and 14 normal males(as controls) were enrolled in the study.Polysomnography and the Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA) were conducted. The blood serum BDNF levels were measured using ELISA.Results:The OSAHS group had significantly decreased blood serum BDNF levels compared with the control group(t=-10.912, P=0.000).The blood serum BDNF level of the subjects was significantly positively associated with the MoCA score(r=0.544,P=0.000),significantly negatively associated with the apneahypopnea index(AHI) and shallow sleep(S1+S2)(AHI:r=-0.607,P=0.000;S1+S2:r =-0.768,P= 0.000),and significantly positively associated with the lowest SaO2(LSO),slow wave sleep(S3+S4), and rapid eye movement sleep(REM)(LSO:r=0.566,P = 0.000;S3+S4:r=0.778,P=0.000;REM: r=0.575,P=0.000).Conclusions:OSAHS patients have significantly decreased blood serum BDNF levels compared with the control.Nocturnal hypoxia as well as the deprivation of slow wave sleep and REM may lead to the decreased serum BDNF level of OSAHS patients.This decreased blood serum BDNF level may contribute to the cognitive impairment in OSAHS.Wei-Hong Wang Guo-Ping He Xu-Ping Xiao Can Gu Hua-Ying Chen 2012Asian Pacific Journal of Tropical Medicine2012,5,11:15
4Gut-lymph-lung pathway mediates sepsis-induced acute lung injury显示文摘This review attempts to unveil the possible mechanisms underlying how gut lymph affects lung and further gives rise to acute respiratory distress syndrome,as well as potential interventional targets under the condition of ischemia-reperfusion injury.We searched electronic databases including PubMed,MEDLINE,Cochrane Central Register of Controlled Trials,Google Scholar,Web of Science,and Embase to identify relevant literatures published up to December 2019.We enrolled the literatures including the Mesh Terms of'gut lymph or intestinal lymph and acute lung injury or acute respiratory distress syndrome.'Gut is considered to be the origin of systemic inflammation and the engine of multiple organ distress syndrome in the field of critical care medicine,whereas gut lymph plays a pivotal role in initiation of ischemia-reperfusion injury-induced acute respiratory distress syndrome.In fact,in the having been established pathologic model of sepsis leading to multiple organ dysfunction named by Gut Lymph theory,a variety of literatures showed the position and role of changes in gut lymph components in the initiation of systemic inflammatory response,which allows us to screen out potential intervention targets to pave the way for future clinic and basic research.Can Jin Jie Chen Juan Gu Wei Zhang 2020Chinese Medical Journal2020,,18:14

6Accurate mirror-based camera pose estimation with explicit geometric meanings显示文摘An accurate closed form solution is proposed to estimate camera pose by several mirrored reference object images acquired via a planar mirror under different unknown poses. Compared with state-of-the-art methods, our method is more accurate when there are more than three images and has explicit geometric meanings. This method also properly handles cases in which some of the mirror poses are parallel. The central idea is to minimize an error metric based on all reflections of rotation, which enables the camera rotation to be estimated directly by SVD of sum of mirrored camera rotations. After that, the camera translation is computed by solving a large system of linear equations to minimize object space collinearity error. 7Associations of tea consumption with blood pressure progression and hypertension incidence显示文摘BACKGROUND Association between tea consumption and incident hypertension remains uncertain.This study conducted to examine the health effects of tea consumption on blood pressure progression and hypertension incidence.METHODS A population-based cohort of 38,913 Chinese participants without hypertension at baseline were included in the current study.Information on tea consumption was collected through standardized questionnaires.Associations of tea consump-tion with blood pressure progression and incident hypertension were analyzed using logistic regression models and Cox propor-tional hazards regression models,respectively.RESULTS During a median follow-up of 5.9 years,17,657 individuals had experienced progression to a higher blood pressure stage and 5,935 individuals had developed hypertension.In multivariate analyses,habitual tea drinkers(≥3 times/week for at least six months)had a 17%lower risk for blood pressure progression[odds ratio(OR)=0.83,95%CI:0.79-0.88]and a 14%de-creased risk for incident hypertension[hazard ratio(HR)=0.86,95%CI:0.80-0.91]compared with non-habitual tea drinkers.In-dividuals in different baseline blood pressure groups could obtain similar benefit from habitual tea drinking.In terms of tea con-sumption amount,an inverse,linear dose-response relation between monthly consumption of tea leaves and risk of blood pres-sure progression was observed,while the risk of incident hypertension did not reduce further after consuming around 100 g of tea leaves per month.CONCLUSIONS Our study demonstrated that habitual tea consumption could provide preventive effect against blood pres-sure progression and hypertension incidence.Xiao-Ge NIU Can CAI Fang-Chao LIU Jian-Xin LI Ke-Yong HUANG Xue-Li YANG Jie CAO Shu-Feng CHEN Hong-Fan LI Chong SHEN Ying-Xin ZHAO Dong-Sheng HU Shu-Jun GU Jian-Feng HUANG Xiang-Feng LU Dong-Feng GU 2021Journal of Geriatric Cardiology2021,18,8:4
8Core muscle functional strength training for reducing the risk of low back pain in military recruits:An open-label randomized controlled trial显示文摘Background:Core muscle functional strength training(CMFST)has been reported to reduce injuries to the lower extremity.However,no study has confirmed whether CMFST can reduce the risk of low back pain(LBP).Objective:This study identified the effects of CMFST on the incidence of LBP in military recruits.Design,setting,participants and intervention:We performed a prospective,open-label,randomized,controlled study in a population of young healthy male naval recruits from a Chinese basic combat training program.Participants were randomly assigned to either the core group or the control group.In additional to normal basic combat training,recruits in the core group underwent a CMFST program for 12 weeks,while recruits in the control group received no extra training.Main outcome measures:At the beginning of the study and at the 12 th week,the number of participants with LBP was counted,and lumbar muscle endurance was measured.In addition,when participants complained of LBP,they were assessed using the visual analog scale(VAS)and Roland Morris Disability Questionnaire(RMDQ).Results:A total of 588 participants were included in the final analysis(295 in the core group and 293 in the control group).The incidence of LBP in the control group was about twice that of the core group over the 12-week study(20.8%vs 10.8%,odds ratio:2.161–2.159,P<0.001).The core group had better lumbar muscle endurance at 12 weeks than the control group([200.80±92.98]s vs[147.00±84.51]s,P<0.01).There was no significant difference in VAS score between groups,but the core group had a significantly lower RMDQ score at week 12 than the control group(3.33±0.58 vs 5.47±4.41,P<0.05).Conclusion:This study demonstrated that the CMFST effectively reduced the incidence of LBP,improved lumbar muscle endurance,and relieved the dysfunction of LBP during basic military training.Xin Wang Wen-juan Song Yi Ruan Bing-chu Li Can Lü Nian Huang Fan-fu Fang Wei Gu 2022Journal of Integrative Medicine2022,20,2:3
9Inhibitive effect of triptolide on invasiveness of human fibrosarcoma cells by downregulating matrix metalloproteinase-9 expression显示文摘Objective:To explore the molecular mechanisms of antitumor properties of triptolide,a bioactive component isolated from the Chinese herb Tripterygium wolfordii Hook F.Methods:Human fibrosarcoma HT-1080 cells were treated with different doses of triptolide for 72 h.Then the expression and activity of matrix metalloproteinase(MMP)-2 and -9 were measured and the invasiveness of triptolide-treated HT-1080 cells was compared with that of anti-MMP-9- treated HT-1080 cells.Results:18 nmol/L triptolide inhibited the gene expression and activity of MMP-9,but not those of MMP-2,in HT-1080 cells.In addition,both 18 nmol/L triptolide and 3μg/mL anti-MMP-9 significantly reduced the invasive potential of HT-1080 cells,by about 50%and 35%, respectively,compared with the control.Whereas there was no significant difference between the effect of 18 nmol/L triptolide and that of anti-MMP-9 on invasive potential of HT-1080 cells. 11Atacamite and Nantokite in Kaerqueka Copper Deposit of Qimantag Area:Evidence for Cenozoic Climate Evolution of the Qaidam Basin显示文摘Using a mineralogy method to reflect climate evolution is a new approach to research Cenozoic environmental progression of the Qaidam Basin. In this paper, we present the chemical composition and crystallographic parameter of atacamite, nantokite, and tenorite in cryptocrystalline aggregates from the Kaerqueka copper deposit of Qimantag metallogenic belt by means of electron microprobe and in-situ X-ray diffraction analyses. Atacamite and nantokite occur in an intimate intergrowth as the secondary precipitation of chalcopyrite and bornite filling in the interstitial space of andradite in the Kaerqueka copper deposit, with an average composition of Cl: 12.38 wt.%, Cu: 63.76 wt.%, O: 21.46 wt.%. X-ray microdiffraction shows that the intergrowth contains nantokite with a cubic unit cell a=5.403(2) ? and atacamite with an orthorhombic unit cell a=6.030(3), b=6.883(2), c=9.114(1) ?. XRD quantitative calculation shows that the nanometric aggregate contains 36.07 wt.% tenorite, 18.41 wt.% atacamite, and 45.52 wt.% nantokite. The presence of nantokite and atacamite requires saline solutions for their formation and hyper-arid climate conditions for their preservation. Combined with the data of salt lakes and the pollen sequence of western China, we suggest that during the uplift of the Tibetan Plateau and the retreat of the Paratethys, saline water was forced to the surface through a basal fracture zone. In the hyper-arid climate of the Qaidam Basin, the recharge of groundwater by direct precipitation is negligible, and groundwater is derived from inflow from the salt lakes. Thus, atacamite is preserved. 12Multistage exhumation and partial melting of high-T ultrahigh-pressure metamorphic rocks in continental subduction-collision zones显示文摘High-temperature(HT, >850℃) metamorphism in continental collision orogens, particularly for those ultrahigh-pressure(UHP) metamorphic rocks, has become one of the remarkable topics in Earth science. It has bearing on the element and isotope behaviors of UHP rocks, their partial melting and related geodynamic effects during exhumation. In this paper, five representative continental collision orogens with typical HT/UHP rocks, including the Dabie orogen in China, the Kokchetav in Kazakhstan, the Caledonides in Greenland, the Rhodope in Greece, and the Erzgebirge in Germany are introduced, and their HT/UHP metamorphism and evolution processes are summarized. In addition, metamorphic P-T-t paths, multistage exhumation processes, and partial melting and preservation and retrogression of UHP index minerals during exhumation and their possible mechanisms are discussed. 13Overview to the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (Insight-HXMT) Satellite显示文摘As China’s first X-ray astronomical satellite, the Hard X-ray Modulation Telescope (HXMT), which was dubbed as Insight-HXMT after the launch on June 15, 2017, is a wide-band(1-250 ke V) slat-collimator-based X-ray astronomy satellite with the capability of all-sky monitoring in 0.2-3 Me V. 14Effects of the total physical activity and its changes on incidence, progression, and remission of hypertension显示文摘OBJECTIVES Moderate to vigorous physical activity is recommended to prevent hypertension according to the current guidelines.However,the degree to which the total physical activity(TPA)and its changes benefit normotensives and hypertensives is uncertain.We aimed to examine the effects of TPA and its changes on the incidence,progression,and remission of hypertension in the large-scale prospective cohorts.METHODS A total of 73,077 participants(55,101 normotensives and 17,976 hypertensives)were eligible for TPA analyses.During a mean follow-up of 7.16 years(394,038 person-years),12,211 hypertension cases were identified.TPA was estimated as metabolic equivalents and categorized into quartiles.Cox proportional hazards regression and multivariable logistic regression were used to estimate associations of TPA and changes in TPA with incident hypertension and progression/remission of hypertension.RESULTS Compared with the lowest quartile of TPA,normotensives at the third and the highest quartile had a decreased risk of incident hypertension,with hazard ratios(HRs)of 0.86[95%confidence interval(CI):0.81−0.91]and 0.81(95%CI:0.77−0.86),respectively.Hypertensives at the highest quartile of TPA demonstrated a decreased risk of progression of hypertension[odds ratio(OR)=0.87,95%CI:0.79−0.95],and an increased probability of hypertension remission(OR=1.17,95%CI:1.05−1.29).Moreover,getting active from a sedentary lifestyle during the follow-up period could reduce 25%(HR=0.75,95%CI:0.58−0.96)risk of incident hypertension,whereas those becoming sedentary did not achieve benefit from initially being active.CONCLUSIONS Our findings indicated that increasing and maintaining TPA levels could benefit normotensives,whereas higher TPA levels were needed to effectively control progression and improve remission of hypertension.Physical activity played undoubtedly an essential role in both primary and secondary prevention of hypertension.Can CAI Fang-Chao LIU Jian-Xin LI Ke-Yong HUANG Xue-Li YANG Ji-Chun CHEN Xiao-Qing LIU Jie CAO Shu-Feng CHEN Chong SHEN Ling YU Fang-Hong LU Xian-Ping WU Lian-Cheng ZHAO Ying LI Dong-Sheng HU Jian-Feng HUANG Xiao-Yang ZHOU Xiang-Feng LU Dong-Feng GU 2021Journal of Geriatric Cardiology2021,18,3:2

16Major and Trace Elements of Magnetite from the Qimantag Metallogenic Belt: Insights into Evolution of Ore–forming Fluids显示文摘Magnetite, as a genetic indicator of ores, has been studied in various deposits in the world. In this paper, we present textural and compositional data of magnetite from the Qimantag metallogenic belt of the Kunlun Orogenic Belt in China, to provide a better understanding of the formation mechanism and genesis of the metallogenic belt and to shed light on analytical protocols for the in situ chemical analysis of magnetite. Magnetite samples from various occurrences, including the ore–related granitoid pluton, mineralised endoskarn and vein–type iron ores hosted in marine carbonate intruded by the pluton, were examined using scanning electron microscopy and analysed for major and trace elements using electron microprobe and laser ablation–inductively coupled plasma–mass spectrometry. The field and microscope observation reveals that early–stage magnetite from the Hutouya and Kendekeke deposits occurs as massive or banded assemblages, whereas late–stage magnetite is disseminated or scattered in the ores. Early–stage magnetite contains high contents of Ti, V, Ga, Al and low in Mg and Mn. In contrast, late–stage magnetite is high in Mg, Mn and low in Ti, V, Ga, Al. Most magnetite grains from the Qimantag metallogenic belt deposits except the Kendekeke deposit plot in the ' Skarn ' field in the Ca+Al+Mn vs Ti+V diagram, far from typical magmatic Fe deposits such as the Damiao and Panzhihua deposits. According to the(Mg O+Mn O)–Ti O2–Al2O3 diagram, magnetite grains from the Kaerqueka and Galingge deposits and the No.7 ore body of the Hutouya deposit show typical characteristics of skarn magnetite, whereas magnetite grains from the Kendekeke deposit and the No.2 ore body of the Hutouya deposit show continuous elemental variation from magmatic type to skarn type. This compositional contrast indicates that chemical composition of magnetite is largely controlled by the compositions of magmatic fluids and host rocks of the ores that have reacted with the fluids. 17Effects of UV on the Corrosion Behavior of Pure Aluminum 1060 in Simulated Nansha Marine Atmosphere显示文摘The corrosion behavior of pure aluminum 1060 subjected to a wet-dry cyclic accelerated test in simulated Nansha marine atmosphere in the dark and under UV illumination has been investigated by means of scanning electron microscopy(SEM),electrochemical impedance spectroscopy(EIS),and Mott–Schottky measurements in this work.The results show that under the two conditions,the native oxide films are constantly destroyed and the thicknesses of the oxide films continuously decrease in the first 24 days of the corrosion test.In particular,UV illumination can diminish the pitting corrosion susceptibility of the native oxide films to an extent in terms of a photo-induced modifi cation of the native oxide film on the pure aluminum surfaces.Besides,UV illumination can also reduce the carrier concentration in the oxide films,thus reducing the conductivity and the corrosion rate.Can Peng Mingxiao Guo Tianzhen Gu Xiaohan Li Chuan Wang Zhenyao Wang Cheng Sun 2022Acta Metallurgica Sinica(English Letters)2022,35,7:1

20Interfacial-Strain-Induced Structural and Polarization Evolutions in Epitaxial Multiferroic BiFeO_3(001) Thin Films显示文摘Varying the film thickness is a precise route to tune the interfacial strain to manipulate the properties of the multiferroic materials.Here,to explore the effects of the interfacial strain on the properties of the multiferroic BiFeO_3films,we investigated thickness-dependent structural and polarization evolutions of the BiFeO_3 films.The epitaxial growth with an atomic stacking sequence of BiO/TiO_2 at the interface was confirmed by scanning transmission electron microscopy.Combining X-ray diffraction experiments and first-principles calculations,a thickness-dependent structural evolution was observed from a fully strained tetragonality to a partially relaxed one without any structural phase transition or rotated twins.The tetragonality(c/a) of the BiFeO_3 films increases as the film thickness decreases,while the polarization is in contrast with this trend,and the size effect including the depolarization field plays a crucial role in this contradiction in thinner films.These findings offer an alternative strategy to manipulate structural and polarization properties by tuning the interfacial strain in epitaxial multiferroic thin films.郭海中 Ruiqiang Zhao Kui-juan Jin Lin Gu Dongdong Xiao Zhenzhong Yang Xiaolong Li Le Wang Xu He Junxing Gu Qian Wan Can Wang Huibin Lu Chen Ge Meng He Guozhen Yang 2015功能材料信息2015,12,3:1
