A method to estimate concentrations of surface-level particulate matter using satellite-based aerosol optical thickness显示文摘We propose a new method to estimate surface-level particulate matter(PM)concentrations by using satellite-retrieved Aerosol Optical Thickness(AOT).This method considers the distribution and variation of Planetary Boundary Layer(PBL)height and relative humidity(RH)at the regional scale. The method estimates surface-level particulate matter concentrations using the data simulated by an atmospheric boundary layer model RAMS and satellite-retrieved AOT.By incorporation MODIS AOT,PBL height and RH simulated by RAMS,this method is applied to estimate the surface-level PM 2.5 concentrations in North China region. The result is evaluated by using 16 ground-based observations deployed in the research region, and the result shows a good agreement between estimated PM 2.5 concentrations and observations, and the coefficient of determination R2 is 0.61 between the estimated PM 2.5 concentrations and the observations. In addition,surface-level PM 2.5 concentrations are also estimated by using MODIS AOT,ground-based LIDAR observations and RH measurements.A comparison between the two estimated PM 2.5 concentrations shows that the new method proposed in this paper is better than the traditional method. The coefficient of determination R2 is improved from 0.32 to 0.62. | TAO JinHua ZHANG MeiGen CHEN LiangFu WANG ZiFeng SU Lin GE Cui HAN Xiao ZOU MingMin | 2013 | Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,8: | 20
Oncogenic AURKA-enhanced N6-methyladenosine modification increases DROSHA mRNA stability to transactivate STC1 in breast cancer stem-like cells显示文摘RNase III DROSHA is upregulated in multiple cancers and contributes to tumor progression by hitherto unclear mechanisms. Here,we demonstrate that DROSHA interacts withβ-Catenin to transactivate STC1 in an RNA cleavage-independent manner, contributing to breast cancer stem-like cell(BCSC)properties.DROSHA mRNA stability is enhanced by N6-methyladenosine(m^(6)A)modification which is activated by AURKA in BCSCs.AURKA stabilizes METTL14 by inhibiting its ubiquitylation and degradation to promote DROSHA mRNA methylation. Moreover, binding of AURKA to DROSHA transcript further strengthens the binding of the m^(6)A reader IGF2BP2 to stabilize m^(6)A-modified DROSHA.In addition,wild-type DROSHA,but not an m^(6)A methylation-deficient mutant, enhances BCSC stemness maintenance, while inhibition of DROSHA m^(6)A modification attenuates BCSC traits. Our study unveils the AURKA-induced oncogenic m^(6)A modification as a key regulator of DROSHA in breast cancer and identifies a novel DROSHA transcriptional function in promoting the BCSC phenotype. | Fei Peng Jie Xu Bai Cui Qilan Liang Sai Zeng Bin He Hong Zou Manman Li Huan Zhao Yuting Meng Jin Chen Bing Liu Shasha Lv Peng Chu Fan An Zifeng Wang Junxiu Huang Yajing Zhan Yuwei Liao Jinxin Lu Lingzhi Xu Jin Zhang Zhaolin Su Zhiguang Li Fangjun Wang Eric W-FLam Quentin Liu | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,3: | 9
DropConnect Regularization Method with Sparsity Constraint for Neural Networks显示文摘Drop Connect is a recently introduced algorithm to prevent the co-adaptation of feature detectors.Compared to Dropout, Drop Connect gains state-of-the-art results on several image recognition benchmarks. Motivated by the success of Drop Connect, we extended this algorithm with the ability of sparse feature selection. In Drop Connect algorithm, the dropping masks of weights are generated using Bernoulli gating variables that are independent of the weights and activations. We introduce a new strategy to generate masks depending on the outputs of previous layer. Using this method, neurons which are promising to produce sparser features will be assigned a bigger possibility to keep active in the forward and backward propagations. We then evaluate such sparsity constrained Drop Connect on MNIST and CIFAR datasets in comparison with ordinary Drop Connect and Dropout method. The results show that our new method improves the sparsity of features significantly, while not degrading the precision. | LIAN Zifeng JING Xiaojun WANG Xiaohan HUANG Hai TAN Youheng CUI Yuanhao | 2016 | Chinese Journal of Electronics2016,25,1: | 6
A New Approach of Feature Selection for Text Categorization显示文摘This paper proposes a new approach of feature selection based on the independent measure between features for text categorization. A fundamental hypothesis that occurrence of the terms in documents is independent of each other, widely used in the probabilistic models for text categorization (TC), is discussed. However, the basic hypothesis is incomplete for independence of feature set. From the view of feature selection, a new independent measure between features is designed, by which a feature selection algorithm is given to obtain a feature subset. The selected subset is high in relevance with category and strong in independence between features, satisfies the basic hypothesis at maximum degree. Compared with other traditional feature selection method in TC (which is only taken into the relevance account), the performance of feature subset selected by our method is prior to others with experiments on the benchmark dataset of 20 Newsgroups. | CUI Zifeng XU Baowen ZHANG Weifeng XU Junling | 2006 | Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2006,11,5: | 6
A New Feature Selection Method for Text Clustering显示文摘Feature selection methods have been successfully ap-plied to text categorization but seldom applied to text clustering due to the unavailability of class label information. In this paper,a new feature selection method for text clustering based on expecta-tion maximization and cluster validity is proposed. It uses super-vised feature selection method on the intermediate clustering result which is generated during iterative clustering to do feature selec-tion for text clustering;meanwhile, the Davies-Bouldin's index is used to evaluate the intermediate feature subsets indirectly. Then feature subsets are selected according to the curve of the Davies-Bouldin's index. Experiment is carried out on several popular datasets and the results show the advantages of the proposed method. | XU Junling XU Baowen ZHANG Weifeng CUI Zifeng ZHANG Wei | 2007 | Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2007,12,5: | 3
Scalable synthesis of Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C with high safety and ultrahigh-rate performance for sodium-ion batteries显示文摘NASICON-type Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) is a promising electrode material for developing advanced sodium-ion batteries.Preparing Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3) with good performance by a cost-effective and large-scale method is significant for industrial applications. In this work,a porous Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C cathode material with excellent electrochemical performance is successfully prepared by an agar-gel combined with freeze-drying method. The Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C cathode displayed specific capacities of 113.4 mAh·g^(-1),107.0 mAh·g^(-1) and 87.1 mAh·g^(-1) at 0.1 C,1 C and 10 C,respectively. For the first time, the 500-mAh soft-packed symmetrical sodium-ion batteries based on Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C electrodes are successfully fabricated. The 500-mAh symmetrical batteries exhibit outstanding low temperature performance with a capacity retention of 83%at 0℃ owing to the rapid sodium ion migration ability and structural stability of Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C.Moreover,the thermal runaway features are revealed by accelerating rate calorimetry(ARC)test for the first time.Thermal stability and safety of the symmetrical batteries are demonstrated to be better than lithium-ion batteries and some reported sodium-ion batteries. Our work makes it clear that the soft-packed symmetrical sodium ion batteries based on Na_(3)V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/C have a prospect of practical application in high safety requirement fields. | Guijia Cui Hong Wang Fengping Yu Haiying Che Xiaozhen Liao Linsen Li Weimin Yang Zifeng Ma | 2022 | Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,6: | 2

Fabrication and Characterization of 3D Graded PDMS Scaffolds Using Vacuum-Assisted Resin Transfer Moulding显示文摘Graded porous scaffold can be applied to study the interactions between cells and scaffold with different pore sizes. Polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) scaffold with an axial pore size grade was successfully manufactured via vacuum-assisted resin transfer moulding(VARTM) and particle leaching technologies. The properties of graded PDMS scaffolds, including porosity, water absorption, interconnectivity, compression modulus, as well as compression strength were investigated. The results showed that the smaller the size of the NaCl particles is, the higher the porosity and water absorption of graded PDMS scaffolds would be. The graded PDMS scaffold fabricated had a compressive modulus and a compressive strength of 19.69±1.42 kPa and 4.76±0.22 kPa, respectively. Moreover, the graded chitosan(CS)-coated PDMS scaffolds were prepared by using dip-coating technique under low vacuum and their hydrophilicity was examined. It is found that the water contact angle(WCA) will decrease with an increase in the CS solution concentration and the coating time, which indicates that CS-coated PDMS scaffolds exhibit noticeable hydrophilicity compared with graded PDMS scaffold. | 司军辉 LIN Jiahe ZHENG Zifeng CUI Zhixiang WANG Qianting | 2018 | Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2018,33,5: | 1

Realizing the Long Lifespan of Molybdenum Trioxide in Aqueous Aluminum Ion Batteries Through Potential Regulation显示文摘MoO_(3) is one of the most promising anode materials for aqueous aluminum batteries due to its high theoretical capacity and suitable aluminum insertion/de-insertion potential. However, the inferior cycling stability limits its further application, and the failure mechanism is still unclear. In this article,we provide a straightforward potential regulation technique to manage phase evolution during the charge/discharge process, which ultimately results in a markedly enhanced MoO_(3) electrode cycling stability. The failure mechanism study reveals that the excessive oxidation of the electrode during charge/discharge generates the H_(0.34)MoO_(3) phase, which has high solubility and is the primary cause of MoO_(3) deactivation.Although the dissolved Mo species will be deposited onto the electrode sheet again, the deposition is not electrochemically active and cannot contribute to the capacitance.Controlling the cutoff potential prevented the production of H_(0.34)MoO_(3),resulting in excellent cycling performance(80.1% capacity retention after 4000 cycles). The as-assembled α-MoO_(3)//MnO_(2) full battery exhibits high discharge plateaus(1.4 and 0.9 V),large specific capacity(200 mAhg^(-1) at 2 Ag^(-1)),and ultra-high coulombic efficiency(99%).The research presented here may contribute to the development of highly stable electrode materials for aqueous batteries. | Haodong Fan Xuejin Li Jie Zhou Xiaoning Wang Xiuli Gao Haoyu Hu Li Zhou Tonghui Cai Yongpeng Cui Pengyun Liu Qingzhong Xue Zifeng Yan Wei Xing | 2023 | Renewables2023,1,4: | 0
Magnetic rod-based metal-organic framework metal composite as multifunctional nanostirrer with adsorptive,peroxidase-like and catalytic properties显示文摘Although magnetic stirring is frequently used to enhance the kinetics for adsorption, chemical and biochemical reactions, the introduction of stirrers inevitably leads to the adsorption of analytes and thus interferes with the efficiency of the chemical process or reaction. In this work, magnetic Fe_(3) O_(4) nanorods with tunable length-to-diameter ratio were synthesized via a hydrothermal method and used as templates for the in-situ depositing of MIL-100(Fe) and gold nanoparticles.Such nanorod-based material can not only function as an adsorbent, nanozyme, and a heterogeneous catalyst for corresponding applications but also serve as a magnetic nanostirrer to enhance kinetics. As a proof-of-concept,the capture of bacteria pathogen,mimic-peroxidase-based colorimetric detection of hydrogen peroxide, and the catalytic reduction of selected organic pollutants were conducted using the as-synthesized Fe_(3) O_(4)@MIL-100(Fe)-Au nanostirrer with and without magnetic field. The results show that the rates of bacteria capture, mimetic enzyme reaction and catalysis were tremendously expedited. We believe this magnetic field-assisted approach holds great promise for future applications, because, not only does it eliminate the use of external magnetic stirrers and thereby decrease the risk of foreign pollution but also,is adaptable for nanoscale reaction systems where conventional stirring is not applicable due to size limitations. | Benjamin Edem Meteku Jiankun Huang Jingbin Zeng Sobia Aslam Yu Zhang Xue Zhang Bingwen Cui Cong-ying Wen Zifeng Yan | 2021 | Chinese Chemical Letters2021,32,10: | 0
Research on Bayesian Network Based User's Interest Model显示文摘It has very realistic significance for improving the quality of users' accessing information to filter and selectively retrieve the large number of information on the Internet. On the basis of analyzing the existing users' interest models and some basic questions of users' interest(representation, derivation and identification of users' interest) ,a Bayesian network based users' interest model is given. In this model, the users' interest reduction algorithm based on Markov Blanket model is used to reduce the interest noise, and then users' interested and not interested docu-ments are used to train the Bayesian network. Compared to the simple model, this model has the following advantages like small space requirements, simple reasoning method and high recognition rate. The experiment result shows this model can more appropri-ately reflect the user's interest, and has higher performance and good usability. | ZHANG Weifeng XU Baowen CUI Zifeng XU Lei | 2007 | Wuhan University Journal of Natural Sciences2007,12,5: | 0
Amorphous Se species anchored into enclosed carbon skeleton bridged by chemical bonding toward advanced K-Se batteries显示文摘Potassium-selenium(K-Se)batteries have attracted significant attention as one of the most promising alternatives of lithium-ion storage systems owing to high energy density and low cost.In the design of Se-based cathode materials, however, the low utilization rate of active Se and the rapid dissolution of polyselenides seriously weaken the capacity and cycle stability. Therefore, how to make full use of Se species without loss during the charge and discharge process is the key to design high-performance Se-based cathode. In this paper,a 3 D'water cube'-like Se/C hybrid(denoted as Se-O-PCS)is constructed with the assistance of Na_(2)CO_(3) templates. Thanks to the abundant carbonate groups(CO_(3)^(2-))originated from the Na_(2)CO_(3) templates, the molten Se species are firmly anchored into the pore of carbon skeleton by strong C-O-Se bonding. Thus, this unique Se-O-PCS model not only improves the utilization of active Se species, but also can reduce the contact with the electrolyte to inhibit the shuttle effect of polyselenides. Moreover, flexible carbon skeleton gives Se-O-PCS hybrid a good electrical conductivity and excellent structural robustness.Consequently, the resultant Se-O-PCS hybrid is endowed with an obviously enhanced K-ions storage property. | Li Zhou Yongpeng Cui Dongqing Kong Wenting Feng Xiuli Gao Youguo Yan Hao Ren Han Hu Qingzhong Xue Zifeng Yan Wei Xing | 2021 | Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,10: | 0
Cancer cell employs a microenvironmental neural signal transactivating nucleus-mitochondria coordination to acquire stemness显示文摘Cancer cell receives extracellular signal inputs to obtain a stem-like status, yet how tumor microenvironmental(TME)neural signals steer cancer stemness to establish the hierarchical tumor architectures remains elusive. Here,a pan-cancer transcriptomic screening for 10852 samples of 33 TCGA cancer types reveals that cAMP-responsive element(CRE)transcription factors are convergent activators for cancer stemness.Deconvolution of transcriptomic profiles, specification of neural markers and illustration of norepinephrine dynamics uncover a bond between TME neural signals and cancer-cell CRE activity.Specifically, neural signal norepinephrine potentiates the stemness of proximal cancer cells by activating cAMP-CRE axis, where ATF1 serves as a conserved hub.Upon activation by norepinephrine,ATF1 potentiates cancer stemness by coordinated trans-activation of both nuclear pluripotency factors MYC/NANOG and mitochondrial biogenesis regulators NRF1/TFAM,thereby orchestrating nuclear reprograming and mitochondrial rejuvenating.Accordingly,single-cell transcriptomes confirm the coordinated activation of nuclear pluripotency with mitochondrial biogenesis in cancer stem-like cells. These findings elucidate that cancer cell acquires stemness via a norepinephrine-ATF1 driven nucleus-mitochondria collaborated program, suggesting a spatialized stemness acquisition by hijacking microenvironmental neural signals. | Bin He Rui Gao Shasha Lv Ailin Chen Junxiu Huang Luoxuan Wang Yunxiu Feng Jiesi Feng Bing Liu Jie Lei Bing Deng Bin He Bai Cui Fei Peng Min Yan Zifeng Wang Eric W-F Lam Bilian Jin Zhiming Shao Yulong Li Jianwei Jiao Xi Wang Quentin Liu | 2023 | Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2023,8,8: | 0

Construction of Frame-Structured Flexible MXene Film Electrode to Achieve High Areal Capacitance Micro-Supercapacitor显示文摘Two-dimensional MXene-based film materials as flexible electrodes have been widely studied in wearable microsupercapacitors(MSCs).However, the existence of strong van derWaals interactions leads to serious self-stacking ofMXene layers, resulting in poor ionic dynamics and loss of active sites, which causes MXene film electrodes to exhibit low capacitance and poor rate performance in practical studies. To solve this,a frame-structured hybrid film(labeled as CN-MX hybrid film)is constructed by introducing intercalating agents(nanometer g-C_(3)N_(4))into MXene layers. In this unique hybrid film, the g-C_(3)N_(4)nanoparticles rationally occupy the interspace between MXene layers so as to alleviate layer stacking, thus effectively expanding the electrochemically active surface and promoting proton transfer.Synergistic pseudocapacitance inducted by g-C_(3)N_(4)surface groups, consequently, the CN-MX hybrid film electrode achieves an enhanced capacitive capability. In the three-electrode system, this frame-structured film electrode exhibits an ultra-high areal capacitance of 1932.8 mF cm^(−2).The assembled symmetry flexible MSC device based on CN-MX hybrid film can achieve an energy density of 2.28μWh cm^(−2)at 0.075 mW cm^(−2),as well as a superior cyclic stability with 90.4%retention after 700 cycles in alternating 90o bending and releasing states, revealing its potential in practical applications. | Yesheng Wang Yongpeng Cui Dongqing Kong Xiaoning Wang Wenting Feng Pengyun Liu Tonghui Cai Xuejin Li Lianming Zhao Debin Kong Linjie Zhi Qingzhong Xue Zifeng Yan Wei Xing | 2023 | Renewables2023,1,2: | 0
