1Integer Programming Problem Based on Plasmid DNA Computing Model显示文摘A DNA algorithm by operating on plasmids was presented to solve a special integer programming, a typical hard computing problem. The DNA algorithm employed double-stranded molecules to encode variables of 0-1 programming problem, the encoded DNA molecules were inserted into circular plasmids as foreign DNA molecules. Followed by, a series of enzymatic treatments to plasmids were performed in order to find feasible solutions to the given problem. The final optimum was obtained by applying founded feasible solutions to object function. Compared with other DNA algorithms of integer programming problem, the proposed algorithm is simple, error-resistant, above all, feasible. 2Bi_(2)S_(3) spheres coated with MOF-derived Co_(9)S_(8) and N-doped carbon composite layer for half/full sodium-ion batteries with superior performance显示文摘Bismuth sulfide(Bi_(2)S_(3))has attracted particular interest as a potential anode material for sodium-ion batteries(SIBs).However,the low electrical conductivity and dramatic volumetric change greatly restrict its practical applications.In view of the apparent structural and compositional advantages of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)derived carbon-based composite,herein,as a proof of concept,Bi_(2)S_(3) spheres coated with the MOF-derived Co_(9)S_(8) and N-doped carbon composite layer(Bi_(2)S_(3)@Co_(9)S_(8)/NC composite spheres)have been rational designed and synthesized.As expected,the core-shell Bi_(2)S_(3)@Co_(9)S_(8)/NC composite spheres exhibit remarkable electrochemical performance in terms of high reversible capacity(597 m Ah g^(-1) after 100 cycles at 0.1 A g^(-1)),good rate capability(341 m Ah g^(-1) at 8 A g^(-1))and long-term cycling stability(458 m Ah g^(-1) after 1000 cycles at 1 A g^(-1))when investigated as anode materials for SIBs.Electrochemical analyses further reveal the favorable reaction kinetics in the Bi_(2)S_(3)@Co_(9)S_(8)/NC composite spheres.In addition,the possible sodium storage mechanism has been studied by ex-situ X-ray diffraction technique.More importantly,a sodium-ion full cell based on Na_(3) V_(2)(PO_(4))_(3)/r GO as cathode and Bi_(2)S_(3)@Co_(9)S_(8)/NC as anode is also fabricated,suggesting their potential for practical applications.It is anticipated that the present work could be extended to construct other advanced electrode materials using MOFs-derived carbon-based composites as surface coating materials for various energy storagerelated applications.Youzhang Huang Xueshuang Zhu Daoping Cai Zhixiang Cui Qianting Wang Hongbing Zhan 2021Journal of Energy Chemistry2021,30,8:2

4Exploring the potential to enhance drug distribution in the brain subregion via intranasal delivery of nanoemulsion in combination with borneol as a guider显示文摘The number of people with Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is increasing annually,with the nidus mainly concentrated in the cortex and hippocampus.Despite of numerous efforts,effective treatment of AD is still facing great challenges due to the blood brain barrier(BBB)and limited drug distribution in the AD nidus sites.Thus,in this study,using vinpocetine(VIN)as a model drug,the objective is to explore the feasibility of tackling the above bottleneck via intranasal drug delivery in combination with a brain guider,borneol(BOR),using nanoemulsion(NE)as the carrier.First of all,the NE were prepared and characterized.In vivo behavior of the NE after intranasal administration was investigated.Influence of BOR dose,BOR administration route on drug brain targeting behavior was evaluated,and the influence of BOR addition on drug brain subregion distribution was probed.It was demonstrated that all the NE had comparable size and similar retention behavior after intranasal delivery.Compared to intravenous injection,improved brain targeting effect was observed by intranasal route,and drug targeting index(DTI)of the VIN–NE group was 154.1%,with the nose-to-brain direct transport percentage(DTP)35.1%.Especially,remarkably enhanced brain distribution was achieved after BOR addition in the NE,with the extent depending on BOR dose.VIN brain concentration was the highest in the VIN-1-BOR-NE group at BOR dose of 1 mg/kg,with the DTI reaching 596.1%and the DTP increased to 83.1%.BOR could exert better nose to brain delivery when administrated together with the drug via intranasal route.Notably,BOR can remarkably enhance drug distribution in both hippocampus and cortex,the nidus areas of AD.In conclusion,in combination with intranasal delivery and the intrinsic brain guiding effect of BOR,drug distribution not only in the brain but also in the cortex and hippocampus can be enhanced significantly,providing the perquisite for improved therapeutic efficacy of AD.Xin Shen Zhixiang Cui Yidan Wei Yingnan Huo Duo Yu Xin Zhang Shirui Mao 2023Asian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences2023,18,6:1

7Performance of steel bridge deck pavement structure with ultra high performance concrete based on resin bonding显示文摘This research investigated a pavement system on steel bridge decks that use epoxy resin(EP)bonded ultra-high performance concrete(UHPC).Through FEM analysis and static and dynamic bending fatigue tests of the composite structure,the influences of the interface of the pavement layer,reinforcement,and different paving materials on the structural performance were compared and analyzed.The results show that the resin bonded UHPC pavement structure can reduce the weld strain in the steel plate by about 32%and the relative deflection between ribs by about 52%under standard axial load conditions compared to traditional pavements.The EP bonding layer can nearly double the drawing strength of the pavement interface from 1.3 MPa,and improve the bending resistance of the UHPC structure on steel bridge decks by about 50%;the bending resistance of reinforced UHPC structures is twice that of unreinforced UHPC structure,and the dynamic deflection of the UHPC pavement structure increases exponentially with increasing fatigue load.The fatigue life is about 1.2×10^(7) cycles under a fixed force of 9 kN and a dynamic deflection of 0.35 mm,which meets the requirements for fatigue performance of pavements on steel bridge decks under traffic conditions of large flow and heavy load.Hui ZHANG Zhixiang ZHANG Peiwei GAO Lei CUI Youqiang PAN Kuan LI 2021Frontiers of Structural and Civil Engineering2021,15,4:1

9Fabrication and Characterization of 3D Graded PDMS Scaffolds Using Vacuum-Assisted Resin Transfer Moulding显示文摘Graded porous scaffold can be applied to study the interactions between cells and scaffold with different pore sizes. Polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS) scaffold with an axial pore size grade was successfully manufactured via vacuum-assisted resin transfer moulding(VARTM) and particle leaching technologies. The properties of graded PDMS scaffolds, including porosity, water absorption, interconnectivity, compression modulus, as well as compression strength were investigated. The results showed that the smaller the size of the NaCl particles is, the higher the porosity and water absorption of graded PDMS scaffolds would be. The graded PDMS scaffold fabricated had a compressive modulus and a compressive strength of 19.69±1.42 kPa and 4.76±0.22 kPa, respectively. Moreover, the graded chitosan(CS)-coated PDMS scaffolds were prepared by using dip-coating technique under low vacuum and their hydrophilicity was examined. 10Controlling the morphology, size and phase of Nb_2O_5 crystals for high electrochemical performance显示文摘The morphology, size and phase of the material play a crucial role in its electrochemical performance.Herein, the nano-sized niobium pentoxide(Nb_2O_5) with different morphologies and phase structures are synthesized through a very simple thermal treatment method, including the pseudo hexagonal Nb_2O_5 nanosheets and pseudo hexagonal Nb_2O_5 nanoparticles, orthorhombic Nb_2O_5 nanoparticles. The synthesized pseudohexagonal Nb2O5 nanosheets and orthorhombic Nb_2O_5 nanoparticles exhibit better cycling and rate performance than the pseudohexagonal Nb2 O5 nanoparticles due to the different morphologies and phase structures. The T-Nb_2O_5-700 nanoparticles show the higher capacity(175 mAh/g) than that of TT-Nb_2O_5-500 nanosheets(127 mAh/g) and TT-Nb_2O_5-600 nanoparticles(39 mAh/g) at a current density of 50 mA/g and good rate performance with a capacity of 140 mAh/g at 1.0 A/g. The excellent rate capability and cycling stability of orthorhombic T-Nb_2O_5 may be ascribed to the dominant contribution of pseudocapacitive effect. 11Morphological, Mechanical and Thermal Properties of Poly(lactic acid)(PLA)/Cellulose Nanofibrils(CNF) Composites Nanofiber for Tissue Engineering显示文摘Composite nanofiber membranes based on biodegradable poly(lactic acid)(PLA) and cellulose nanofibrils(CNF) were produced via electrospinning. The influence of CNF content on the morphology, thermal properties, and mechanical properties of PLA/CNF composite nanofiber membranes were characterized by field scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM), differential scanning calorimetry(DSC), thermogravimetric analysis(TGA), and dynamic mechanical analysis(DMA), respectively. The results show that the PLA/CNF composite nanofibers with smooth, free-bead surface can be successfully fabricated with various CNF contents. The introduction of CNF is an effective approach to improve the crystalline ability, thermal stability and mechanical properties for PLA/CNF composite fibers. The Young's moduli and tensile strength of the PLA/CNF composite nanofiber reach 106.6 MPa and 2.7 MPa when the CNF content is 3%, respectively, which are one times higher and 1.5 times than those of pure PLA nanofiber. 14DeepNitro: Prediction of Protein Nitration and Nitrosylation Sites by Deep Learning显示文摘Protein nitration and nitrosylation are essential post-translational modifications(PTMs)involved in many fundamental cellular processes. Recent studies have revealed that excessive levels of nitration and nitrosylation in some critical proteins are linked to numerous chronic diseases.Therefore, the identification of substrates that undergo such modifications in a site-specific manner is an important research topic in the community and will provide candidates for targeted therapy. In this study, we aimed to develop a computational tool for predicting nitration and nitrosylation sites in proteins. We first constructed four types of encoding features, including positional amino acid distributions, sequence contextual dependencies, physicochemical properties, and position-specificscoring features, to represent the modified residues. Based on these encoding features, we established a predictor called DeepNitro using deep learning methods for predicting protein nitration and nitrosylation. Using n-fold cross-validation, our evaluation shows great AUC values for DeepNitro, 0.65 for tyrosine nitration, 0.80 for tryptophan nitration, and 0.70 for cysteine nitrosylation, respectively,demonstrating the robustness and reliability of our tool. Also, when tested in the independent dataset, DeepNitro is substantially superior to other similar tools with a 7%à42% improvement in the prediction performance. Taken together, the application of deep learning method and novel encoding schemes, especially the position-specific scoring feature, greatly improves the accuracy of nitration and nitrosylation site prediction and may facilitate the prediction of other PTM sites. The approach using DNA computing to solve job shop scheduling is divided into three stands. Finally, optimum solutions are obtained by sequencing. 18Probe Machine Based Computing Model for Maximum Clique Problem显示文摘Probe machine(PM)is a recently reported mathematic model with massive parallelism.Herein,we presented searching the maximum clique of an undirected graph with six vertices.We constructed data library containing n sublibraries,each sublibrary corresponded to a vertex in the given graph.Then,probe library according to the induced subgraph was designed in order to search and generate all maximal cliques.Subsequently,we performed probe operation,and all maximal cliques were generated in parallel.The advantages of the proposed model lie in two aspects.On one hand,solution to NP-complete problem is generated in just one step of probe operation rather than found in vast solution space.On the other hand,the proposed model is highly parallel.The work demonstrates that PM is superior to TM in terms of searching capacity when tackling NP-complete problem.CUI Jianzhong YIN Zhixiang TANG Zhen YANG Jing 2022Chinese Journal of Electronics2022,31,2:0
