8Hydrographical parameters and phytoplankton assemblages along the Pondicherry—Nagapattinam coastal waters,southeast coast of India显示文摘Hydrographical parameters and phytoplankton assemblages were determined along the Pondicherry, Parangipettai and Nagapattinam coastal waters, southeast coast of India. All the hydrographical parameters such as sea surface temperature, salinity, p H, total alkalinity, dissolved oxygen and nutrients like nitrate, nitrite, inorganic phosphate and reactive silicate, chlorophyll a and phytoplankton assemblages were studied for a period of five months(May, August, September 2010, March and November 2011). Over 121 species of phytoplankton represented by 93 species of diatoms, 16 species of dinoflagellates, 9 species of blue-green algae, 2 species of greens and 1 species of silicoflagellate were recorded. High phytoplankton species diversity was found in March 2011 when salinity and nitrate concentrations were low and reactive silicate and inorganic phosphates were moderate. Species diversity was low during May 2010 when increased sea surface temperature, salinity and low nutrients availability were observed. Coscinodiscus centralis, Diatoma vulgaris and Proboscia alata were dominant, especially Coscinodiscus sp. distributed in all stations whereas Skeletonema costatum, Odontella sinensis and Ditylum brightwellii were abundant in August and September 2010. 9Outlier detection in neutrosophic sets by using rough entropy based weighted density method显示文摘Neutrosophy is the study of neutralities,which is an extension of discussing the truth of opinions.Neutrosophic logic can be applied to any field,to provide the solution for indeterminacy problem.Many of the real-world data have a problem of inconsistency,indeterminacy and incompleteness.Fuzzy sets provide a solution for uncertainties,and intuitionistic fuzzy sets handle incomplete information,but both concepts failed to handle indeterminate information.To handle this complicated situation,researchers require a powerful mathematical tool,naming,neutrosophic sets,which is a generalised concept of fuzzy and intuitionistic fuzzy sets.Neutrosophic sets provide a solution for both incomplete and indeterminate information.It has mainly three degrees of membership such as truth,indeterminacy and falsity.Boolean values are obtained from the three degrees of membership by cut relation method.Data items which contrast from other objects by their qualities are outliers.The weighted density outlier detection method based on rough entropy calculates weights of each object and attribute.From the obtained weighted values,the threshold value is fixed to determine outliers.Experimental analysis of the proposed method has been carried out with neutrosophic movie dataset to detect outliers and also compared with existing methods to prove its performance.Tamilarasu Sangeetha Geetha Mary Amalanathan 2020CAAI Transactions on Intelligence Technology2020,5,2:0
10Investigation on thermally aged natural ester oil for real-time monitoring and analysis of transformer insulation显示文摘Thermal aging of natural ester oil shows drastic reduction in partial discharge inception voltage(PDIV)and a significant variation is observed only above a certain aging time,under AC,DC,high frequency AC voltages and with harmonic voltages with different total harmonic distortion.Weibull distribution studies on PDIV measurements indicate a reduction in scale parameter(α)with increase in thermal aging temperature.A characteristic reduction in breakdown voltage was observed with the thermally aged ester oil,under AC,DC and standard lightning impulse voltage.The breakdown voltage variation with aged ester oil follows normal distribution.Ultraviolet(UV)analysis of ester oil thermally aged at 160°C has revealed a regular shift of the derived absorbance parameter to longer wavelengths.The interfacial tension and turbidity exhibits an inverse relationship with the thermally aged ester oil.Gas chromatography/mass spectrometric analysis of the thermally aged ester oil predicted the formation of more carboxylic acids and ketones with aging duration.The steady-state fluorescence on thermally aged ester oil exhibits a shift in its emission profile,which is in tandem with the UV absorption spectroscopic analysis.Fluorescence analysis can be adopted as a real-time monitoring tool in transformers,to understand the condition of liquid insulation.The viscosity dependence on the wavelength of derivative absorption maxima follows a direct relationship with the thermally aged natural ester oil.Arputhasamy Joseph Amalanathan Ramanujam Sarathi Swayam Prakash Ashok Kumar Mishra Ribhu Gautam Ravikrishnan Vinu 2020High Voltage2020,5,2:0
11FG-SMOTE:Fuzzy-based Gaussian synthetic minority oversampling with deep belief networks classifier for skewed class distribution显示文摘Purpose-Adequate resources for learning and training the data are an important constraint to develop an efficient classifier with outstanding performance.The data usually follows a biased distribution of classes that reflects an unequal distribution of classes within a dataset.This issue is known as the imbalance problem,which is one of the most common issues occurring in real-time applications.Learning of imbalanced datasets is a ubiquitous challenge in the field of data mining.Imbalanced data degrades the performance of the classifier by producing inaccurate results.Design/methodology/approach-In the proposed work,a novel fuzzy-based Gaussian synthetic minority oversampling(FG-SMOTE)algorithm is proposed to process the imbalanced data.The mechanism of the Gaussian SMOTE technique is based on finding the nearest neighbour concept to balance the ratio between minority and majority class datasets.The ratio of the datasets belonging to the minority and majority class is balanced using a fuzzy-based Levenshtein distance measure technique.Findings-The performance and the accuracy of the proposed algorithm is evaluated using the deep belief networks classifier and the results showed the efficiency of the fuzzy-based Gaussian SMOTE technique achieved an AUC:93.7%.F1 Score Prediction:94.2%,Geometric Mean Score:93.6%predicted from confusion matrix.Research limitations/implications-The proposed research still retains some of the challenges that need to be focused such as application FG-SMOTE to multiclass imbalanced dataset and to evaluate dataset imbalance problem in a distributed environment.Originality/value-The proposed algorithm fundamentally solves the data imbalance issues and challenges involved in handling the imbalanced data.FG-SMOTE has aided in balancing minority and majority class datasets.Putta Hemalatha Geetha Mary Amalanathan 2021International Journal of Intelligent Computing and Cybernetics2021,14,2:0
