1Is autoimmune hepatitis a frequent finding among HCV patients with intense interface hepatitis?显示文摘AIM:To evaluate the overlap of autoimmune hepatitis in hepatitis C virus(HCV)-infected patients with intense interface hepatitis.METHODS:Among 1759 patients with hepatitis C submitted to liver biopsy,92(5.2%) presented intense interface hepatitis.These patients were evaluated regarding the presence of antinuclear antibody(ANA),anti-smooth muscle antibody(SMA) and anti-liver/kidney microsomal antibody(LKM-1),levels of γ-globulin and histological findings related to autoimmune hepatitis(plasma cell infiltrate and presence of rosettes).RESULTS:Among patients with hepatitis C and intense interface hepatitis there was a low prevalence of autoantibodies(ANA=12%,SMA=5%,LKM-1=0%) and the median γ-globulin level was within the normal range.Typical histological findings of autoimmune disease were observed in only two cases(2%).After applying the score for diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis,only one patient was classified with a definitive diagnosis of autoimmune hepatitis.Since overlap with autoimmune hepatitis was not the explanation for the intense necroinflammatory activity in patients with chronic hepatitis C we sought to identify the variables associated with this finding.The presence of intense interface hepatitis was associated with more advanced age,both at the time of infection and at the time of the biopsy,and higher prevalence of blood transfusion and alcohol abuse.CONCLUSION:Although possible,overlap with autoimmune hepatitis is a very rare association in HCV-infected patients with intense interface hepatitis,an unusual presentation which seems to be related to other host variables.Rosilene G Badiani Vitória Becker Renata M Perez Carla AL Matos Lara B Lemos Valéria P Lanzoni Luis Eduardo C Andrade Alessandra Dellavance Antonio Eduardo B Silva Maria Lucia G Ferraz 2010World Journal of Gastroenterology2010,16,29:7

3Faujasite zeolite decorated with cobalt ferrite nanoparticles for improving removal and reuse in Pb^2+ions adsorption显示文摘Water pollution caused by heavy metals ions has been gaining attention in recent years,increasing the interest in the development of methodologies for their efficient removal focusing on the adsorption process for these purposes.The current challenge faced by adsorption processes is the adequate adsorbent immobilization for removal and reuse.Thus,the present work aimed at producing a faujasite zeolite nanocomposite decorated with cobalt ferrite nanoparticles for Pb^2+ions adsorption in an aqueous medium improving magnetic removal and reuse.As a result,a high surface area(434.4 m^2·g^-1)for the nanocomposite and an 18.93 emu·g^-1 saturation magnetization value were obtained,indicating magnetic removal in a promising material for adsorption process.The nanocomposite regeneration capacity evaluated by magnetic recovery after 24 h suspension presented a high Pb^2+ion adsorptive capacity(98.4%)in the first cycle.Around 98%of the Pb^2+ions were adsorbed in the second cycle.In this way,the synthesized faujasite:cobalt ferrite nanocomposite reveals itself as a promising alternative in adsorption processes,aiming at a synergic effect of FAU zeolite high adsorptive activity and the cobalt ferrite nanoparticles magnetic activity,allowing for adsorbent recovery from the aqueous medium via magnetic force and successive adsorptive cycles.Elaine C.Paris João O.D.Malafatti Henrique C.Musetti Alexandra Manzoli Alessandra Zenatti Márcia T.Escote 2020Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2020,28,7:2

5Influence of donor age on the differentiation and division capacity of human adipose-derived stem cells显示文摘BACKGROUND Human adipose-derived stromal/stem cells(hASCs)are one of the most useful types of mesenchymal stromal/stem cells,which are adult multipotent cells with great therapeutic potential for the treatment of several diseases.However,for successful clinical application,it is critical that high-quality cells can be obtained.Diverse factors seem to be able to influence cell quality and performance,especially factors related to donors’intrinsic characteristics,such as age.Nevertheless,there is no consensus regarding this characteristic,and there is conflicting information in the literature.AIM To investigate the growth kinetics and differentiation potential of adipose-derived stem cells isolated from the lipoaspirates of elderly and young donors.METHODS hASCs were harvested from liposuctioned adipose tissue obtained from female donors(aged 20-70 years).Cells were distributed into two groups according to age range:old hASCs(oASCs,≥55 years,n=9)and young hASCs(yASCs,≤35 years,n=9).For each group,immunophenotypic characterization was performed by flow cytometry.Population doubling time was assessed over seven days.For adipogenic potential evaluation,lipid deposits were assessed after 7 d,14 d and 21 d of adipogenic induction.Osteogenic potential was verified by analyzing cell mineralization after 14 d,21 d and 28 d of osteogenic induction.mRNA expression of PPARγ2,CEBPA and Runx2 were detected by quantitative reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction.RESULTS hASCs were successfully obtained,cultured,and grouped according to their age:yASCs(26.33±4.66 years old)and oASCs(64.78±4.58 years old).After maintenance of the cells in culture,there were no differences in morphology between cells from the young and old donors.Additionally,both groups showed classical immunophenotypic characteristics of mesenchymal stem/stromal cells.The average doubling time indicated that yASCs(4.09±0.94 d)did not significantly differ from oASCs(4.19±1.29 d).Concerning differentiation potential,after adipogenic and osteogenic induction,yASCs and oASCs were able to differentiate to greater levels than the noninduced control cells.However,no differences were found in the differentiation efficiency of yASCs and oASCs in adipogenesis or osteogenesis.Additionally,the mRNA expression of PPARγ2,CEBPA and Runx2 were similar in yASCs and oASCs.CONCLUSION Our findings suggest that age does not seem to significantly affect the cell division or adipogenic or osteogenic differentiation ability of adipose-derived stem cells isolated from lipoaspirates.Cintia DS Horinouchi María Julia Barisón Anny W Robert Crisciele Kuligovski Alessandra M Aguiar BrunoDallagiovanna 2020World Journal of Stem Cells2020,12,12:2
