2A Systemic Approach to Integrated E-maintenance of Large Engineering Plants显示文摘Large engineering plants (LEPs) have certain unique features that necessitate a maintenance strategy that is a combination of both time and condition based maintenance. Although this requirement is appreciated to varying degrees by asset owners, applied research leading to a systematic development of such a maintenance strategy is the need of the day. Such a strategy should also adopt a wholesome 'systemic' approach so that the realization of the overall objectives of maintenance is maximized. E-maintenance has several potential benefits for large engineering plants. In this paper, a three pronged strategy is suggested for the successful implementation of e-maintenance for LEPs. Firstly, an integrated condition and time based maintenance framework is proposed for LEPs. Secondly, reference is drawn to models for condition and time based maintenance at systemic levels. As a part of the ab initio development of a condition monitoring system for a LEP, one of the characteristics of the condition monitoring system, namely, predictability, is discussed in detail as a sample for a systemic study. 3Chlorination roasting-coupled water leaching process for potash recovery from waste mica scrap using dry marble sludge powder and sodium chloride显示文摘The present paper reports the effective utilization of marble sludge powder(MSP)for the recovery of potash values from waste mica scrap using chlorination roasting-water leaching method.Characterization studies indicated the presence of dolomite as the major mineral phase in MSP,whereas muscovite and quartz were observed in the mica sample.The acid leaching studies suggest a maximum of 22%potash recovery under conditions:4 M H2SO4 acid,particle size of^100μm,stirring speed of 600 r/min,leaching temperature of 75℃,and leaching time of 90 min.The chlorination roasting-water leaching process was adopted to achieve the lowest level of 80%-90%potash recovery.The optimum conditions for the recovery of^93%potash from mica(~8.6wt%K2O)requires 900℃ roasting temperature,30 min roasting time,and 1:1:0.75 mass ratio of mica:MSP:NaCl.The roasting temperature and amount of NaCl are found to be the most important factors for the recovery process.The reaction mechanism suggests the formation of different mineral phases,including sylvite(KCl),wollastonite,kyanite,and enstatite,during roasting,which were confirmed by X-ray diffraction(XRD)analyses and scanning electron microscopy(SEM)morphologies.The MSP-blended NaCl additive is more effective for potash recovery compared with the other reported commercial roasting additives.Sandeep Kumar Jena Jogeshwar Sahu Geetikamayee Padhy Swagatika Mohanty Ajit Dash 2020International Journal of Minerals,Metallurgy and Materials2020,27,9:2
4Statistical Modeling Studies of Iron Recovery from Red Mud Using Thermal Plasma显示文摘Optimization studies of plasma smelting of red mud were carried out. Reduction of the dried red mud fines was done in an extended arc plasma reactor to recover the pig iron. Lime grit and low ash metallurgical (LAM) coke were used as the flux and reductant, respectively. 2level factorial design was used to study the influence of all parameters on the responses. 5Olanzapine-induced leucopaenia and thrombocytopaenia in an elderly patient:a case report and review of the evidence显示文摘Haematological adverse effects of antipsychotics are rare but life threatening. Existing literature is limited to case reports, which are mostly reported on second generation antipsychotics(clozapine, olanzapine, risperidone, quetiapine). Elderly individuals are at risk of developing side effects with any psychotropics. Olanzapine is commonly used for the management of psychotic symptoms as well as for the management of behavioural and psychological problems with dementia in the elderly. In this case report, the authors report thrombocytopaenia and leucopaenia in an elderly individual with schizophrenia which developed after initiation of olanzapine and reverted back after stoppage of the drug. 7Development of a new coated electrode with low nickel content for welding ductile iron and its response to austempering显示文摘Coated Electrodes with small amounts of nickel were developed for welding ductile iron(DI) and conversion of the same into austempered ductile iron(ADI) after austempering. Among six electrodes, Trials 3 and 4 were selected for establishing crack-free weld deposits via preheating and post-weld heat treatment. Austenitization was performed at 900°C for 2 h and austempering at 300 or 350°C for three different holding times to observe the results of austempering with respect to the microstructure, hardness, and austempering kinetics of the samples. The microstructures of the weld deposits showed needle-like bainitic ferrite with small amounts of retained austenite when treated at 300°C and feathery bainitic ferrite with large amounts of retainedaustenite when treated at 350°C. The electrode labeled with Trial 3 revealed greater austenite contents than that labeled with Trial 4 when treated with a 2 h holding time regardless of the austempering temperature applied. 8Vitreo-retinal interface changes on optical coherence tomography in the fellow eyes of patients with macular hole显示文摘AIM:To study the vitreo-retinal interface and macular changes on optical coherence tomography(OCT) in the fellow eyes of patients with macular hole.·METHODS:Patients with idiopathic macular hole in one or both eyes presented to our institute between January 2003 and December 2009 were evaluated retrospectively.Demographic details,best-corrected visual acuity and vitreo-retinal interface,and macular changes of the fellow eye on OCT were studied.·RESULTS:Seventy patients underwent OCT of both eyes during the study period.The average age group was 61.96 years and 35(50%) were females.Among the fellow eyes,normal foveal contour was noted in 36(51.4%) eyes and 34(48.6%) eyes were observed to have vitreo-retinal interface changes.Of them,13(18.6%) eyes had some stage of full thickness macular hole and 21(30.0%) eyes had interface changes.There was no statistical correlation between involved eye lesions(P =0.64) or visual acuity(P =0.55) as predictors of development of either fellow eye lesions or poor visual acuity.·CONCLUSION:There is a significant chance of having vitreo-retinal interface findings in the fellow eyes of patients presenting with macular hole.OCT should be considered in both eyes of patients with macular hole to detect early changes in the fellow eyes,which may require an early intervention.Ajit Babu Majji Jay Kumar Chhablani Bupesh Bagga 2013International Journal of Ophthalmology(English edition)2013,6,4:1

20Reversible and controllable threshold voltage modulation for n-channel MoS2 and p-channel MoTe_(2 )field-effect transistors via multiple counter doping with ODTS/poly-L-lysine charge enhancers显示文摘Confronted by the inherent physical limitations in scaling down Si technology,transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDCs)as alternatives are being tremendously researched and paid attention to.However,mature counter doping technology for TMDCs is still elusive,and thus,a controllable and reversible charge enhancer is adopted for acceptor(or donor)-like doping via octadecyltrichlorosilane(ODTS)(or poly-L-lysine(PLL))treatment.Furthermore,multiple counter doping for TMDC field-effect transistors(FETs),combined with a threshold voltage(V;h)freezing scheme,renders the V_(th) modulation controllable,with negligible degradation and decent sustainability of FETs even after each treatment of a representative charge enhancer.In parallel,the counter doping mechanism is systematically investigated via photoluminescence spectroscopy,X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy,atomic force microscopy(AFM),surface energy characterization,and measurement of optoelectronic properties under illumination with light of various wavelengths.More impressively,complementary inverters,composed of type-converted molybdenum ditelluride(MoTe_(2)>FETs and hetero-TMDC FETs in enhancement mode,are demonstrated via respective ODTS/PLL treatments.Herein,driving backplane application for micro-light-emitting diode(p-LED)displays and physical validation of a corresponding counter doping scheme even for flexible polyethylene terephthalate(PET)substrates could be leveraged to relieve daunting challenges in the application of nanoscale Si-based three-dimensional(3D)stacked systems,with potential adoption of ultralow power and monolithic optical interconnection technology.Seung Gi Seo Jinheon Jeong Seung Yeob Kim Ajit Kumar Sung Hun Jin 2021Nano Research2021,14,9:1
