1Biodiversity,current developments and potential biotechnological applications of phosphorus-solubilizing and-mobilizing microbes:A review显示文摘As one of the most important and essential macronutrients next to nitrogen,phosphorus(P)is important for plant development,but it is the least mobile nutrient element in plant and soil.Globally,P is mined from geological sediments and added to agricultural soils so as to meet the critical requirements of crop plants for agronomic productivity.Phosphorus exists in soil in both organic and inorganic forms.The various inorganic forms of the element in soil are salts with calcium,iron,and aluminum,whereas the organic forms come from decaying vegetation and microbial residue.There is a huge diversity of plant microbiomes(epiphytic,endophytic,and rhizospheric)and soil microbiomes that have the capability to solubilize the insoluble P and make it available to plant.The main mechanism for the solubilization of inorganic P is by the production of organic acids,which lowers soil pH,or by the production of acid and alkaline phosphatases,which causes the mineralization of organic P.The P-solubilizing and-mobilizing microorganisms belong to all three domains,comprising archaea,bacteria,and eukarya.The strains belonging to the genera Arthrobacter,Bacillus,Burkholderia,Natrinema,Pseudomonas,Rhizobium,and Serratia have been reported as efficient and potential P solubilizers.The use of P solubilizers,alone or in combination with other plant growth-promoting microbes as an eco-friendly microbial consortium,could increase the P uptake of crops,increasing their yields for agricultural and environmental sustainability.Divjot KOUR Kusam Lata RANA Tanvir KAUR Neelam YADAV Ajar Nath YADAV Manish KUMAR Vinod KUMAR Harcharan Singh DHALIWAL Anil Kumar SAXENA 2021Pedosphere2021,31,1:10
2Enhanced recovery after surgery protocol enhances early postoperative recovery after pancreaticoduodenectomy显示文摘Background: Enhanced recovery after surgery(ERAS) protocol is a multimodal, multidisciplinary and evidence-based approach to reduce surgical stress and enhance recovery in the postoperative period. This study aimed to analyze the outcome of ERAS protocol in patients after pancreaticoduodenectomy(PD). Methods: A total of 50 consecutive patients with pancreatic/periampullary cancer who underwent PD between January 2016 to August 2017 were included in the study. As per the institute ERAS protocol, nasogastric tube(NGT) was removed on postoperative day(POD) 1 if output was less than 200 mL and oral sips were allowed; oral liquids were allowed on POD2; semisolid diet by POD3; abdominal drain was removed on POD 4 if output was less than 100 mL with no evidence of postoperative pancreatic fistula(POPF); normal diet was allowed on POD5. Discharge criteria on POD6 were afebrile, tolerating oral normal diet, pain free and no surgery related complications(defined as per the ISGPS definitions). Results: NGT was removed on POD1 in 45(90%) patients, abdominal drain removed by POD4 in 41(82%) and 43(86%) patients were discharged on POD6. There was no 30-day postoperative mortality. Three(6%) patients had delayed gastric emptying(DGE). None had postoperative hemorrhage and POPF. Readmission rate was 8%. A significant relation was found between the length of hospital stay(LOS) with age( P < 0.05) and a marginal relation between LOS and postoperative albumin( P = 0.05). Conclusions: ERAS protocol can be safely followed in the perioperative care of patients who undergo PD. Early removal of NGT and allowing oral diet restore bowel function early. 6Co-gasification of coal and biomass an emerging clean energy technology: Status and prospects of development in Indian context显示文摘Co-gasification of coal and biomass is emerging as potential clean fuel technology to achieve high thermodynamic efficiency with relatively low CO2 emission. The coal and biomass have been exclusively gasified more than a century to obtain gas–liquid fuels and the production of chemicals. Co-gasification has higher efficiency than the solitary coal gasification because the cellulose, hemicellulose and lignin content of biomass help to ignite and enhance the rate of gasification. It is suggested that the extensive research on carbon reactivity pattern, heat release, reaction kinetics, etc. may support to reduce the uncertainties in the co-gasification performance of coal and biomass blends, particularly in India. The prospects of co-gasification technology in Indian context have been discussed considering the abundance of varieties of coal and biomass. The suitability of existing gasifier procedures and their limitations with operating parameters like temperature, residence time, density optimisation, feed rate, agglomeration intensity, the tar formation and techno-economics involved are described. 7A Local Contrast Fusion Based 3D Otsu Algorithm for Multilevel Image Segmentation显示文摘To overcome the shortcomings of 1 D and 2 D Otsu’s thresholding techniques, the 3 D Otsu method has been developed.Among all Otsu’s methods, 3 D Otsu technique provides the best threshold values for the multi-level thresholding processes. In this paper, to improve the quality of segmented images, a simple and effective multilevel thresholding method is introduced. The proposed approach focuses on preserving edge detail by computing the 3 D Otsu along the fusion phenomena. The advantages of the presented scheme include higher quality outcomes, better preservation of tiny details and boundaries and reduced execution time with rising threshold levels. The fusion approach depends upon the differences between pixel intensity values within a small local space of an image;it aims to improve localized information after the thresholding process. The fusion of images based on local contrast can improve image segmentation performance by minimizing the loss of local contrast, loss of details and gray-level distributions. 9Pseudomonas fluorescens-like bacteria from the stomach:A microbiological and molecular study显示文摘AIM:To characterize oxidase-and urease-producing bacterial isolates,grown aerobically,that originated from antral biopsies of patients suffering from acid peptic diseases.METHODS:A total of 258 antral biopsy specimens were subjected to isolation of bacteria followed by tests for oxidase and urease production,acid tolerance and aerobic growth.The selected isolates were further characterized by molecular techniques viz.amplifications for 16S rRNA using universal eubacterial and HSP60 gene specific primers.The amplicons were subjected to restriction analysis and partial sequencing.A phylogenetic tree was generated using unweighted pair group method with arithmetic mean(UPGMA) from evolutionary distance computed with bootstrap test of phylogeny.Assessment of acidity tolerance of bacteria isolated from antrum was performed using hydrochloric acid from 10-7 mol/L to 10-1 mol/L.RESULTS:Of the 258 antral biopsy specimens collected from patients,179(69.4%) were positive for urease production by rapid urease test and 31%(80/258) yielded typical Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori) after 5-7 d of incubation under a microaerophilic environment.A total of 240(93%) antral biopsies yielded homogeneous semi-translucent and small colonies after overnight incubation.The partial 16S rRNA sequences revealed that the isolates had 99% similarity with Pseudomonas species.A phylogenetic tree on the basis of 16S rRNA sequences denoted that JQ927226 and JQ927227 were likely to be related to Pseudomonas fluorescens(P.fluorescens).On the basis ofHSP60 sequences applied to the UPGMA phylogenetic tree,it was observed that isolated strains in an aerobic environment were likely to be P.fluorescens,and HSP60 sequences had more discriminatory potential rather than 16S rRNA sequences.Interestingly,this bacterium was acid tolerant for hours at low pH.Further,a total of 250(96.9%) genomic DNA samples of 258 biopsy specimens and DNA from 240 bacterial isolates were positive for the 613 bp amplicons by targeting P.fluorescens-specific conserved putative outer membrane protein gene sequences.CONCLUSION:This study indicates that bacterial isolates from antral biopsies grown aerobically were P.fluorescens,and thus acid-tolerant bacteria other than H.pylori can also colonize the stomach and may be implicated in pathogenesis/protection.Saurabh Kumar Patel Chandra Bhan Pratap Ajay Kumar Verma Ashok Kumar Jain Vinod Kumar Dixit Gopal Nath 2013World Journal of Gastroenterology2013,19,7:4
10Optimization of Distributed Solar Photovoltaic Power Generation in Day-ahead Electricity Market Incorporating Irradiance Uncertainty显示文摘This paper proposes a simple and practical approach to model the uncertainty of solar irradiance and determines the optimized day-ahead(DA)schedule of electricity mar-ket.The problem formulation incorporates the power output of distributed solar photovoltaic generator(DSPVG)and forecasted load demands with a specified level of certainty.The proposed approach determines the certainty levels of the random variables(solar irradiance and forecasted load demand)from their probability density function curves.In this process of optimization,the energy storage system(ESS)has also been mod-eled based on the fact that the energy stored during low locational marginal price(LMP)periods and dispatched during high LMP periods would strengthen the economy of DA schedule.The objective of the formulated non-linear optimization problem is to maximize the social welfare of market participants,which incorporates the assured generation outputs of DSPVG,subject to real and reactive power balance and transmission capability constraints of the system and charging/dis-charging and energy storage constraints of ESS.The simulation has been performed on the Indian utility 62-bus system.The results are presented with a large number of cases to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed approach for the efficient,economic and reliable operation of DA electricity markets.Anu Singla Kanwardeep Singh Vinod Kumar Yadav 2021Journal of Modern Power Systems and Clean Energy2021,9,3:4
11Structural,Transport and Optical Properties of Boron-doped Zinc Oxide Nanocrystalline显示文摘The paper has reported the structural,transport and optical properties of boron doped zinc oxide(ZnO:B) thin films grown on glass substrate by sol-gel spin coating process.It is observed from the analysis of the X-ray diffraction(XRD) results that the crystalline quality of the films is improved with increasing B concentration.A crystallite size of ~17 nm is obtained for B doped films.A minimum resistivity of 7.9×10-4 Ω.cm is obtained at 0.6 at.% of B concentration in the ZnO:B films.Ionized and intragrain cluster scattering are found to dominate the scattering mechanism in ZnO:B films.Optical interference pattern in transmittance spectra shows good homogeneity with a transparency of ~88% in the visible region.The band gap of the films is increased from 3.24 to 3.35 eV with increasing B concentration.Band gap widening is analyzed in terms of Burstein-Moss shift.The origin of the broad band photoluminescence(PL) spectra is explained in terms of the intragrain cluster scattering.Vinod Kumar R.G.Singh L.P.Purohit R.M.Mehra 2011Journal of Materials Science & Technology2011,27,6:4
12A review of ecological risk assessment and associated health risks with heavy metals in sediment from India显示文摘Heavy metal(HM)pollution in sediment is a serious concern particularly in developing nations,warranting an extensive survey to understand the current situation and propose possible remedial measures.This paper compiles the data of HMs cadmium(Cd),iron(Fe),cobalt(Co),manganese(Mn),arsenic(As),lead(Pb),chromium(Cr),copper(Cu),zinc(Zn)and nickel(Ni)in aquatic sediment from India from 1979 to 2017.It was found that mean values of Cu,Co,Zn,Pb,As,and Cr in Indian sediment were high in comparison to the Australian Interim Sediment Quality Guidelines,World Surface Rock Average,and the Threshold Effect Level for freshwater ecosystems.Anthropogenic activities,lithogenic factors,and sand intrusion are the main factors associated with HM pollution as observed using cluster analysis and principal component analysis.The results of contamination indices indicate that HM contamination ranged from average to high,in the sediment.The ecological risk assessment results showed that 11%HMs present very high risk.The cancer risk,due to the high contents of Cd,As,and Cr the ingestion pathway,showed high risk of cancer through food/water contaminated with sediment.At source reduction of HMs in industrial effluents by effluent treatment plants,and plantation of phytoremediating rooted macrophytes in sediment may help in HM mitigation of the sediment.Vinod Kumar Anket Sharma Shevita Pandita Renu Bhardwaj Ashwani Kumar Thukral Artemi Cerda 2020International Journal of Sediment Research2020,35,5:4
13Using fuzzy-AHP and parametric technique to assess soil fertility status in Northeast of Iran显示文摘A good understanding of the levels and distribution patterns of soil properties and/or quality indicators is a prerequisite for developing sustainable agricultural land management programs. Traditional assessments of these parameters of soil fertility status are somewhat costly, in both economics and time aspects. Different modelling techniques have been proposed as a useful tool for determination of soil quality indicators and development of soil fertility maps, but to what extent these results are reliable remains under-quantified in many regions worldwide. To address this uncertainty, Fuzzy-Analytical Hierarchy Process(Fuzzy-AHP) and Parametric analyses were conducted to ascertain the soil fertility status of a semiarid region in the Northeast of Iran for some selected crops: alfalfa, corn silage, potato, sugar beet, tomato and wheat. The Fuzzy-AHP and Parametric techniques using soil suitability indices were estimated for each crop and each soil delineation was achieved by Ordinary Kriging. The Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution(TOPSIS) was used as a compensatory method to allow tradeoffs among the selected criteria. Our results demonstrated that from the Fuzzy-AHP analysis, the soil fertility indices ranged from moderate to high for production of alfalfa;from low to high for production of corn silage and sugar beet;moderate to high for production of potato and tomato;and from low to moderate for production of wheat. However, the parametric analysis showed soil fertility classes ranging from very low to high for production of all the selected crops. High correlations were also observed between soil fertility indices predicted by both models. Similarly, the capacities of both models to predict soil fertility status for production of the selected crops were also highly correlated. The preference for the cultivation of the selected crops based on the Fuzzy-AHP analysis was sugar beet > corn silage > wheat > alfalfa > tomato > potato. On the other hand, using Parametric techniques, the crops preferences for cultivation ranked as corn silage > wheat > alfalfa > sugar beet > tomato > potato. 14Evaluating Fertilization Effects on Soil Physical Properties Using a Soil Quality Index in an Intensive Rice-Wheat Cropping System显示文摘Soil quality assessment has been suggested as an effective tool for evaluating sustainability of soil and crop management practices.The objective of this study was to develop a sensitive soil quality index(SQI) based on bulk density(BD),water-holding capacity(WHC),water-stable aggregates(WSA),aggregate mean weight diameter(AMWD),total organic C(TOC) and C input to evaluate the important rice-wheat cropping system on an Inceptisol in India.A long-term experiment has been conducted for 18 years at the Indian Council of Agricultural Research-Indian Institute of Farming Systems Research,Modipuram,India.The treatments selected for this study were comprised of a no-fertilizer control and N,P and K fertilizers(NPK) combined with Zn and S fertilizers(NPK+ Zn+S),farmyard manure(NPK+FYM),green gram residues(NPK+GR) and cereal residues(NPK+CR),laid out in a randomized complete block design with three replications.Soil samples were collected and analyzed for BD,WHC,WSA and TOC.Correlation analysis revealed that both rice and wheat yields signi?cantly increased with the increases in AMWD,TOC and C input,but decreased with the increase in BD.The SQI values were then generated based on regression analysis of BD,WSA,AMWD,TOC and C input with rice and wheat yields for the 0–15 and 15–30 cm soil layers,respectively.Regression analyses between crop yields and SQI values showed a quadratic type of relation with the coeffcient of determination(R^2) varying from 0.78 to 0.89.With regard to soil sustainability,applying crop residues to both rice and wheat could maintain soil quality for a longer period,whereas the highest yields of both the crops were recorded in the NPK+Zn+S treatment.The regression equations developed in this study could be used to monitor soil quality in a subhumid tropical rice-wheat cropping system.Bappa DAS Debashis CHAKRABORTY Vinod Kumar SINGH Mukhtar AHMED Amit Kumar SINGH Arijit BARMAN 2016Pedosphere2016,26,6:3
15浸泡和冷预处理对喜马拉雅长叶松不同种源种子萌发的作用(英文)显示文摘对喜马拉雅长叶松种子进行24小时GA3和H2O2浸泡预处理和15d的2-3℃低温预处理后,研究了在20℃,25℃和30℃萌发条件下,21个不同种源的喜马拉雅长叶松种子的萌发情况。结果表明,H2O2(1%v/v)和GA3(10mg/L)浸泡预处理,种子萌发率分别是82.39%和78.19%,而未经预处理的种子平均萌发率为70.79%。GA3和H2O2浸泡预处理分别使种子萌发时间缩短了8d和10d。在超过21天的20℃萌发条件下,湿冷处理提高了种子萌发率和缩短了萌发时间;而在25℃和30℃萌发条件下,总的萌发率未受到影响。喜马拉雅长叶松种子因缺少休眠而表现出很好的萌发,但是因为越来越多的造林项目需要大量的种子,播种预处理有利于提高种子萌发率和萌发速率,有助于满足种子需求。Sunil Kumar Ghildiyal Chandra Mohan Sharma Vinod Prasad Khanduri 2009Journal of Forestry Research2009,20,4:3

17Structural,thermomagnetic,and dielectric properties of Mn0.5Zn0.5GdxFe2-xO4(x=0,0.025,0.050,0.075,and 0.1)显示文摘In this paper,effect of Gd^3+was investigated on structural,magnetic,and dielectric properties of Mn0.5Zn0.5GdxFe2–xO4(x=0,0.025,0.050,0.075,and 0.1)nanoparticles prepared by facile coprecipitation method.X-ray diffraction(XRD)studies confirmed the single cubic spinel phase for all the samples and showed that lattice parameter(aexp)was found to increase from 8.414 to 8.446Åwith the substitution of Gd3+ions due to their larger ionic radii than the replaced Fe3+ions.Shape and size of developed nanoparticles were studied using transmission electron microscopy(TEM)and found that particle size decreased from 31.06 to 21.12 nm for x=0–0.1.Magnetic properties showed that maximum magnetization decreased from 39.21 to 23.59 emu/g,and Curie temperature decreased from 192 to 176℃with increase in x from 0 to 0.1 due to weakening of superexchange interaction.Dielectric parameters like dielectric constant(e¢ande¢),dielectric loss(tanδ),AC conductivity(σac),and impedance(Z¢and Z¢)as a function of frequency and composition were analyzed and discussed.It was found thate¢,e¢,σac,and tanδvalues decreased with Gd substitution,which has been explained based on Maxwell–Wagner theory and hopping mechanism of electrons between Fe3+and Fe2+ions at octahedral sites.Nyquist plots for all the developed compositions showed single semi-circular arc which indicate the dominant effect of grain boundaries.Lakshita PHOR Vinod KUMAR 2020Journal of Advanced Ceramics2020,9,2:2
18南欧派利吞草石油醚提取物对雄性大鼠性行为的影响(英文)显示文摘目的:检测南欧派利吞草石油醚提取物(petroleum ether extract,PEE)对雄性大鼠性行为的影响。方法:制备南欧派利吞草PEE。32只雄性Wistar大鼠分成对照组、睾酮组、低剂量PEE组和高剂量PEE组,每组8只。对照组大鼠灌胃花生油(溶剂对照),睾酮组大鼠肌肉注射0.5mg/kg睾酮,每周2次,低剂量和高剂量PEE组大鼠分别灌胃50和100mg/kgPEE,治疗持续28d。于治疗前,治疗第15天、第28天和治疗后第7天、第15天,检测大鼠体质量,治疗结束后,取4只大鼠性器官(睾丸、附睾、精囊、前列腺)称取质量,其余4只大鼠用于检测大鼠的性取向行为和性功能。结果:与对照组大鼠比较,PEE治疗28d可明显增加雄性大鼠的体质量和性器官质量,雄性大鼠易于接受雌性大鼠和对雌性大鼠趋向性增加,雄性大鼠性能力增加,表现为舔、嗅雌性大鼠肛门和生殖器,阴茎勃起指数增加,交配潜伏期缩短,交配频率增加。在PEE治疗结束后7和15d仍观察到以上行为和性指标的变化。结论:与睾酮不同的是,PEE治疗结束后7和15d仍可见明显治疗效果,提示南欧派利吞草能提高大鼠性潜能,并有延迟效应。Vikas Sharma Mayank Thakur Nagendra S.Chauhan Vinod Kumar Dixit 2010中西医结合学报2010,8,8:2

20Contribution of microbial phytases to the improvement of plant growth and nutrition: A review显示文摘Phytases belong to the class of phosphohydrolases that begin the step-wise hydrolysis of phosphates from phytates. Phytates are a derivative of myo-inositol, which is the primary storage form of organic phosphorus in plant cells. Phytase has been used globally to diminish phosphorus pollution and to enhance nutrition in monogastrics. In this review, the classification, sources, and diversity of microbial phytases, and their practical applications, as well as supplementation of the soil with transgenic and wild types of microbial strains, which can release phytase to enhance phosphorus availability for plant uptake and reduce the need for fertilizers, are discussed. The overexpressed microbial phytases in transgenic plants enhance the growth capacity of co-cultivated plants and can therefore be employed in agricultural and biotechnological practices, such as intercropping. The introduction of phytases into the soil for improved plant growth and enhanced crop yield can be accomplished without extra cost.
