7Properties and processing technologies of high-entropy alloys显示文摘High-entropy alloys (HEAs) are emerging materials that are developed based on entropy, anddraw significant attention for the potential to design their chemical disorder to bring outdifferent structural and physical characteristics. Over the past two decades, significant salientefforts have been conducted to explore many unique and useful properties of HEAs, such asovercoming the strength–ductility trade-off, outstanding thermal stability, and excellent lowtemperature plasticity. Here, we review the key research topic of HEAs in the following threeaspects: (a) performance advantages and composition design, (b) performance-driven HEAs and(c) fabrication process-driven HEAs. Towards their industrial applications, our article reviews alarge range of methods to synthesise, fabricate and process HEAs. We also discuss the currentchallenges and future opportunities, mainly focusing on performance breakthroughs in HEAs.Xuehui Yan Yu Zou Yong Zhang 2022Materials Futures2022,1,2:3
8Porcine skeletal muscle tissue fabrication for cultured meat production using three-dimensional bioprinting technology显示文摘Cultured meat produced through in vitro cell culture technology is regarded as a technical revolution. In this study,three-dimensional(3D)bioprinting technology was used to mimic the growth environment in vivo and construct a 3D culture system in vilro.Hydroge1 bioinks, namely, sodium alginate-gelatin and gelatin-methacrylate(GelMA)-silk fbroin, produced using two different curing processes were blended, and their rheological properties, mechanical properties, and biocompatibilities were compared. The 4%GelMA-20%silk fibroin hydroge1(GS2)demonstrated good performance and was hybridized with porcine skeleta1 muscle satellite cells for 3D printing to construct network structures of size 15 mm×15 mm and porosity 1000 um in 4-,6-,and 8-1ayer struchures. After 16 days of culture,4-and 6-1ayer grid structures formed compact muscle fbers organized by multinucleated myotubes. These results suggested that 3D bioprinting and GeIMA-silk fbroin hydrogels have great potential in fabricating porcine skeleta1 muscle tissue for use as cultured meat.Yingying Li Wenting Liu Shilei Li Mingyue Zhang Feng Yang Shouwei Wang 2021Journal of Future Foods2021,1,1:3

13Taking advantage of glass:capturing and retaining the helium gas on the moon显示文摘Helium-3(3He)is a noble gas that has critical applications in scientific research and promising application potential as clean fusion energy. It is thought that the lunar regolith contains large amounts of helium, but it is challenging to extract because most helium atoms are reserved in defects of crystals or as solid solutions. Here,we find large amounts of helium bubbles in the glassy surface layer of ilmenite particles that were brought back by the Chang’E-5 mission. The special disordered atomic packing structure of glasses should be the critical factor for capturing the noble helium gas.The reserves in bubbles do not require heating to high temperatures to be extracted.Mechanical methods at ambient temperatures can easily break the bubbles. Our results provide insights into the mechanism of helium gathering on the moon and offer guidance on future in situ extraction.Ao Li Xiao Chen Lijian Song Guoxin Chen Wei Xu Juntao Huo Meng Gao Ming Li Lei Zhang Bingnan Yao Min Ji Yan Zhang Shaofan Zhao Wei Yao Yanhui Liu Jun-Qiang Wang Haiyang Bai Zhigang Zou Mengfei Yang Weihua Wang 2022Materials Futures2022,1,3:2
