2Catalytic oxidation of benzene over nanostructured porous Co_3O_4-CeO_2 composite catalysts显示文摘Mesostructured Co3O4-CeO2 composite was found to be an effective catalytic material for the complete oxidation of benzene. The Co3O4-CeO2 catalysts with different Co/Ce ratios (mol/mol) were prepared via the nanocasting method and the mesostructure was replicated from two-dimensional (2D) hexagonal SBA-15 and three-dimensional (3D) cubic KIT-6 silicas, respectively. All the obtained Co3O4-CeO2 catalysts exhibited the similar symmetry with the parent silicas and well ordered mesostructures. The Co3O4- CeO2 catalysts with 2D mesostructure showed lower catalytic activities than the corresponding 3D materials. The Co3O4-CeO2 catalyst nanocasted from KIT-6 and with the Co/Ce ratio of 16/1 possessed the best catalytic benzene oxidation activity due to larger quantities of surface hydroxyl groups and surface oxygenated species. 3Semaphorin 7a participants in pterygium by regulating vascular endothelial growth factor显示文摘AIM: To investigate the relationship between semaphorin 7a expression and cell proliferation and migration in pterygium fibroblasts. METHODS: Twenty-six patients with surgically diagnosed pterygium were enrolled, including 15 cases of primary pterygium and 11 cases of recurrent pterygium. In addition, 12 cases of normal conjunctival tissue were collected. The expression of semaphorin 7a in normal conjunctival tissue, primary pterygium and recurrent pterygium was detected by real-time polymerase chain reaction. Recurrent pterygium fibroblasts were isolated and cultured, and the expression of semaphorin 7a was silenced by small interfering RNA(siRNA) interference technique. Furthermore, the effects of si-semaphorin 7a interference on the mRNA and protein levels of β1-integrin, vascular endothelial growth factor A(VEGFA) and vascular endothelial growth factor receptor(VEGFR), and on fibroblast proliferation were analyzed. Transwell assay was used to detect the effect of semaphorin 7a interference on fibroblast migration. RESULTS: Semaphorin 7a was highly expressed in the primary pterygium and recurrent pterygium samples than that of the normal conjunctival tissue. Compared with the primary pterygium, the expression of semaphoring 7a in the recurrent pterygium samples was significantly increased(P<0.05). The mRNA and protein expression levels of β1-integrin, VEGFA and VEGFR were decreased after si-semaphorin 7a transfection, and as well as the cell proliferation and migration. 4Treatment of black liquor from the papermaking industry by acidification and reuse显示文摘Two different kinds of black liquor from the papermaking industry were treated by acidification and reuse. The experimental parameters and conditions were discussed in detail. The experimental results indicated that the treatment process mentioned in this article is an effective process for the treatment of black liquor from the papermaking industry. By the treatment, the solid materials in black liquor are transferred into two by products and the other components are reused or evaporated. 6How the Internet Promotes China’s Exports:A Firm-level Perspective显示文摘The development of information and communications technologyv(ICT),particularly the Internet,has reduced trade costs.However,it remains unclear whether these reduced costs are reflected in the “extensive margins”of firms'exports(which refer to the probability of firms exporting)or the “intensive margins”(which refer to the value of firms'export).To test this,we used the concepts of information cost and binary margins,an augmented trade model of firm heterogeneity,a two-stage Heckman estimation,and data from the World Bank Enterprise Survey of Chinese firms in 2012.The results revealed that reduced trade costs from the use of ICT were positively related to extensive margins but that the connection with intensive margins was not significant.The results lead to the conclusion that reduced information costs related to a firm's exporting behavior were primarily reflcted in variable trade cosis.This study offers theoretical and empirical evidence for China 3 policies towards the Internet,which are relevant for the export of manufactured goods.The government should encourage the use of ICT to enhance firms export opporunities while facing current trade policy uncerainty.Yifei Mu Zhen Chen Yibing Ding Yuqing Wang Bo Pang 2020China & World Economy2020,28,5:4

8Hypoxia-controlled matrix metalloproteinase-9 hyperexpression promotes behavioral recovery after ischemia显示文摘Matrix metalloproteinase-9(MMP-9) plays a beneficial role in the sub-acute phase after ischemic stroke.However,unrestrained MMP-9 may disrupt the blood-brain barrier(BBB),which has limited its use for the treatment of brain ischemia.In the present study,we constructed lentivirus mediated hypoxiacontrolled MMP-9 expression and explored its role after stroke.Hypoxia response element(HRE)was used to confine MMP-9 expression only to the hypoxic region of mouse brain after 120-min transient middle cerebral artery occlusion.Lentiviruses were injected into the peri-infarct area on day 7 after transient ischemia.We found hyperexpression of exogenous HRE-MMP-9 under the control of hypoxia,and its expression was mainly located in neurons and astrocytes without aggravation of BBB damage compared to the CMV group.Furthermore,mice in the HRE-MMP-9 group showed the best behavioral recovery compared with the normal saline,GFP,and SB-3CT groups.Therefore,hypoxia-controlled MMP-9 hyperexpression during the sub-acute phase of ischemia may provide a novel promising approach of gene therapy for stroke.Hongxia Cai Zhihao Mu Zhen Jiang Yongting Wang Guo-Yuan Yang Zhijun Zhang 2015Neuroscience Bulletin2015,31,5:3
9Chinese research into severe ulcerative colitis has increased in quantity and complexity显示文摘AIM To investigate the current state of research output from Chinese studies into severe ulcerative colitis(SUC) using a bibliometric analysis of publications. METHODS The contents of the Chinese periodical databases WANFANG, VIP, and China National Knowledge Infrastructure were searched for all papers regarding UC or SUC published in last the 15 years (from 2001 to 2015). The number of publications in each year was recorded to assess the temporal trends of research output. All SUC related publications were downloaded and the complexity of this research was evaluated with methods described previously. The number of patients with SUC reported each year was recorded and their clinical characteristics were analyzed using information available in the relevant papers. RESULTS There were 13499 publications regarding UC published in Chinese medical journals between 2001 and 2015, of which 201 focused on SUC. The number of publications increased rapidly with more than half of all papers being published in the most recent 5-year period. There was a significant increase in analyticalstudies and clinical trials over the study period (P < 0.01), with research into the management of SUC, included pharmacotherapy, nutrition support as well as surgery, predominating. Almost half (46.2%) of the observational analytical studies and clinical trials focused on Traditional Chinese Medicine, with little research on the efficacy of cyclosporin and infliximab in disease management. About 6222 patients with SUC were reported in the 201 SUC relevant papers, with a ratio of male/female of 1.38. The number of patients reported in each 5-year period significantly increased. The colectomy rate and short-term mortality rate were 7.7% and 0.8% respectively. 10Purification characteristics and parameters optimization of anthocyanin extracted from blueberry显示文摘To improve the yield and purity of anthocyanin extracted from blueberry,the characteristics and optimization for the separation and purification process of anthocyanin by AB-8 macroporous adsorbent resin was studied.In the absorption stage,the pH value has positive effect in ranges of 1.0-3.0 and the temperature rise has firstly negative then positive effect on adsorption rate of anthocyanin with adsorption time.In the desorption stage,the ethanol concentration increase has firstly positive then steady effect and the temperature rise has positive and then negative effect on desorption rate of anthocyanin.The purification temperature may improve diffusion or induce degradation of anthocyanin.AB-8 macroporous adsorbent resin is suitable to purify the anthocyanin from extract of powdered blueberries and the optimum parameters were obtained by using Design Expert software as adsorption time of 3 h,pH value of 1.0,adsorption temperature of 18℃ in absorption stage and desorption time of 30 min,ethanol concentration of 46.5%,desorption temperature of 22℃ in desorption stage with the highest absorption rate and desorption rate are 87.65% and 84.80%,respectively.Zheng Xianzhe Zhang Zhaoguo Jin Changjiang Mu Yanqiu Liu Chenghai Chen Zhiying Liu Haijun Lin Zhen 2015International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2015,8,2:2

13ITO/Cu multilayer electrodes for high-brightness electrochromic displays显示文摘Fabry-Perot(F-P)nanocavity-type electrochromic devices with multicolor tunability have attracted significant interest in the past two years for their potential uses in a wide variety of applications,such as electronic display,military camouflage,and dynamic decoration.However,challenges such as insufficient brightness,lengthy switching times,and poor cycling stability have yet to be overcome.Herein,we demonstrate electrochromic electrodes based on ITO/Cu as both the current collector and the reflective layer,with WO_(3 )as the electrochromic material,forming a unique three-layered structure.The constituted WO_(3 )/ITO/Cu films present a high brightness value of about 84%before coloration,and a decent brightness value of 48%after coloration at−0.8​V.Moreover,a fast switching time between different coloration states(tc​=​2.2​s;tb​=​1​s)is recorded,attributed to the extremely low sheet resistivity of the ITO/Cu current collector.The films also reveal excellent electrochemical cycling stability across 2000 cycles.Xueqing Tang Zishou Hu Zhen Wang Jian Chen Xinyang Mu Ge Song Peiyan Sun Zhengji Wen Jiaming Hao Shan Cong Zhigang Zhao 2022eScience2022,2,6:1
14Integrated transcriptome and metabolite profiling highlights the role of benzoxazinoids in wheat resistance against Fusarium crown rot显示文摘Fusarium crown rot(FCR), caused by Fusarium spp., is a chronic and severe plant disease worldwide. In the last years, the incidence and severity of FCR in China has increased to the point that it is now considered a threat to local wheat crops. In this study, for the first time, the metabolites and transcripts responsive to FCR infection in the partial resistant wheat cultivar 04 Zhong 36(04 z36) and susceptible cultivar Xinmai 26(XM) were investigated and compared at 20 and 25 days post inoculation(dpi). A total of 443 metabolites were detected, of which 102 were significantly changed because of pathogen colonization.Most of these 102 metabolites belonged to the flavonoid, phenolic acid, amino acid and derivative classes.Some metabolites, such as proline betaine, lauric acid, ribitol, and arabitol, were stably induced by Fusarium pseudograminearum(Fp) infection at two time points and may have important roles in FCR resistance. In line with the reduced seedling height of 04 z36 and XM plants, RNA-seq analysis revealed that FCR infection significantly affected the photosynthesis activities in two cultivars. Furthermore, 15 jasmonate ZIM-domain genes(JAZ) in the significantly enriched ‘regulation of jasmonic acid mediated signaling pathway’ in 04 z36 were down-regulated. The down-regulation of these JAZ genes in 04 z36 may cause a strong activation of the jasmonate signaling pathway. Based on combined data from gene expression and metabolite profiles, two metabolites, benzoxazolin-2-one(BOA) and 6-methoxy-benzoxazolin-2-one(MBOA), involved in the benzoxazinoid-biosynthesis pathway, were tested for their effects on FCR resistance. Both BOA and MBOA significantly reduced fungal growth in vitro and in vivo, and, thus, a higher content of BOA and MBOA in 04 z36 may contribute to FCR resistance.
