| 5 | Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine in medical practice:a survey of community residents in Beijing,China显示文摘OBJECTIVE:To investigate how community residents in Beijing understood and used Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM) in their medical practice.METHODS:This was a cross-sectional study conducted on 3410 community residents from four large communities of Tongzhou district in Beijng,China.A validated, self-administered questionnaire comprised of three sections was used to gather the data.A systematic sampling procedure was applied to recruit the community residents.RESULTS:A total of 3410 participants completed the questionnaire survey.It showed that in highly educated residents, 33.4%(170) knew of the names of 3-10 Chinese herbals, 35.8%(182) knew of names of 3-10 traditional Chinese patent drug.Among all the respondent residents, 80.7%(2753)believed that TCM herbal therapy and TCM non-drug treatments were effective in disease treatment, health enhancement, 85.7%(2923) had taken traditional Chinese patent drug in their life,56.8%(1937) of residents had used herbal decoction, 40.0%(1365) had received non-drug treatment of TCM, such as acupuncture, massage, cupping, auricular acupuncture.Among the elderly residents, 11.4%(98) often used Chinese patent drug and 9.8%(85) often used herbal decoction.In addition, 70.8%(2415) of residents were willing to accept knowledge and information on TCM for health enhancement and disease prevention, such as medicated diet, medicinal tea, Tai Chi and Qi Gong, although 82.8%(2825) of residents had never used them.CONCLUSION:Chinese patent drug and herbal decoction are widely used in the communities in Beijing, and there existed a possible close correlation between high educational level and better understanding of TCM.Age and occupation also correlated with the attitude to TCM therapies.The characteristics of the residents should be considered seriously in the course of promoting the understanding and application of TCM. | Liu Zhongdi Huang Yunyu Cui Zhaoli Tan Yong Yang Jing Lü Aiping Wang Yaoxian Jiang Miao | 2017 | Journal of Traditional Chinese Medicine2017,37,2: | 3 |
| 6 | Helium Isotopic Composition of the Songduo Eclogites in the Lhasa Terrane,Tibet: Information from the Deep Mantle显示文摘Helium isotopic compositions are considered to be ideal tracers to identify whether mantle materials have been added to crustal rocks or fluids.In this paper,we present the helium isotopic compositions of the Songduo eclogites in the Lhasa terrane,Tibet.We found that garnet and omphacite in the eclogites have different helium retention characteristics.The 4He content of most omphacite grains are about 10–20 times of that of garnet,suggesting that omphacite has a higher ability to capture 4He than garnet.Similarly,there is about 10–20 times difference in 3He content between omphacite and garnet in the same eclogite samples.The 3He/4He ratios of garnet and omphacite in these rocks range from 0.27 to 0.60 Ra(relative to the modern air 3He/4He ratio,1.4×10^-6).These ratios are within the range of both mantle-and crust-derived helium,suggesting mixed sources.The Songduo eclogites have much higher3He/4He ratios than those observed in the Dabie eclogites of eastern China.Such high ratios are typically thought to be associated with deep mantle sources.We cautiously conclude that deep mantle materials might have been involved during the formation of the Songduo eclogites. | Zhaoli Li Jingsui Yang Tianfu Li Songyong Chen | 2019 | Journal of Earth Science2019,30,3: | 2 |

| 13 | The regulatory roles of DDIT4 in TDCIPP-induced autophagy and apoptosis in PC12 cells显示文摘Tris(1,3-dichloro-2-propyl) phosphate(TDCIPP) is a commonly used organophosphatebased flame retardant and can bio-accumulate in human tissues and organs. As its structure is similar to that of neurotoxic organophosphate pesticides, the neurotoxicity of TDCIPP has raised widespread concerns. TDCIPP can increase neuronal apoptosis and induce autophagy.However, its regulatory mechanism remains unclear. In this study, we found that the expression upregulation of the DNA Damage-Inducible Transcript 4(DDIT4) protein, which might play essential roles in TDCIPP-induced neuronal autophagy and apoptosis, was observed in TDCIPP-treated differentiated rat PC12 cells. Furthermore, we determined the protective effect of the DDIT4 suppression on the autophagy and apoptosis induced by TDCIPP using Western blot(WB) and Flow cytometry(FACS) analysis. We observed that TDCIPP treatment increased the DDIT4, the autophagy marker Beclin-1, and the microtubule-associated protein light chain 3-II(LC_(3)II) expressions and decreased the mTOR phosphorylation levels. Conversely, the suppression of DDIT4 expression increased the p-mTOR expression and decreased cell autophagy and apoptosis. Collectively, our results revealed the function of DDIT4 in cell death mechanisms triggered by TDCIPP through the m TOR signaling axis in differentiated PC12 cells. | 15 | A Recombination Clustering Technique for Forecasting of Tropical Cyclone Tracks Based on the CMA-TRAMS Ensemble Prediction System显示文摘Despite marked improvements in tropical cyclone(TC) track ensemble forecasting,forecasters still have difficulty in making quick decisions when facing multiple potential predictions,so it is demanding to develop post-processing techniques reducing the uncertainty in TC track forecasts,and one of such techniques is the cluster-based methods.To improve the effect and efficiency of the previous cluster-based methods,this study adopts recombination clustering(RC) by optimizing the use of limited TC variables and constructing better features that can accurately capture the good TC track forecasts from the ensemble prediction system(EPS) of the China Meteorological Administration Tropical Regional Atmosphere Model for the South China Sea(CMA-TRAMS).The RC technique is further optimized by constraining the number of clusters using the absolute track bias between the ensemble mean(EM) and ensemble spread(ES).Finally,the RC-based deterministic and weighted probabilistic forecasts are compared with the TC track forecasts from traditional methods.It is found that(1) for deterministic TC track forecasts,the RC-based TC track forecasts outperform all other methods at 12–72-h lead times;compared with the skillful EM(118.6 km),the improvements introduced by the use of RC reach up to 10.8%(8.1 km),10.2%(13.7 km),and 8.7%(20.5 km) at forecast times of 24,48,and 72 h,respectively.(2) For probabilistic TC track forecasts,RC yields significantly more accurate and discriminative forecasts than traditional equal-weight track forecasts,by increasing the weight of the best cluster,with a decrease of 4.1% in brier score(BS) and an increase of 1.4% in area under the relative operating characteristic curve(AUC).(3) In particular,for cases with recurved tracks,such as typhoons Saudel(2017) and Bavi(2008),RC significantly reduces track errors relative to EM by 56.0%(125.5 km) and 77.7%(192.2 km),respectively.Our results demonstrate that the RC technique not only improves TC track forecasts but also helps to unravel skillful ensemble members,and is likely useful for feature construction in machine learning. | Jinqing LIU Xubin ZHANG Zejun DAI Hui ZHOU Zhaoli YANG | 2023 | Journal of Meteorological Research2023,37,6: | 0 |

Chronic exposure to aflatoxins leads to a wide variety ofliver diseases, such as hepatocellular carcinoma. In this study, we analyzed the genome wide expression profiles ofaflatoxin B1-induced rat hepatic epithelial cells. The expression of 325, 184 and 199 special genes was altered whenexposed to 0.03, 0.1 and 0.2 μmol/L aflatoxin B1 respectively, and 239 genes were commonly expressed. After thefunctional analysis on these dose-special genes, we determined several key pathways related to hepatotoxicity, such asTGF-beta signaling pathway, tight junction, adherens junction, the regulation of actin cytoskeleton, ErbB signalingpathway, p53 signaling pathway, pathways in cancer and axon guidance. Common genes were mainly associated withfocal adhesion, ECM-receptor interaction, and cell adhesion molecules. Gene ontology annotations showed a goodconcordance with these pathways. The quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction(PCR) analysis of selectedgenes showed similar patterns in microarrays. | 20 | Development of the Sumdo Suture in the Lhasa Block, Tibet, China显示文摘The Qinghai–Tibet plateau is a composite continental fragment formed by collision of multiple terranes and island arcs.The Lhasa terrane,which is located in the central part of the plateau,is bounded by the Yarlung–Zangbo suture to the south and Bangong-Nujiang suture to the north.An E–W–trending belt of(ultra)-high pressure eclogite was discovered in the Sumdo region of the Lhasa terrane.Careful field studies combined with petrological,geochemical and isotopic analyses show that the Sumdo eclogites mark a Carboniferous–Permian suture zone,at least 100 km long,containing ophiolite fragments,eclogites and Indosinian post–orogenic granitoids.This suture divides the Lhasa block into a northern and southern segment.Sumdo eclogite occurs about 200 km east of Lhasa city,and extends over 100km in an E–W direction.Sumdo eclogites were accompanied by garnet amphibolite and plagioclaseamphiboliteformedbyretrograde metamorphism of the eclogites.The eclogites were derived from oceanic basalts.LA–ICPMS U–Pb dating of zircon from the Sumdo eclogites indicates a Permian metamorphic age(260–270 Ma)and a Carboniferous protolith age of 303±4.8 MaThe ophiolite fragments in the Sumdo suture zone are composed of the ultramafic rocks,MORB–type basalt,OIB–type basalt and island arc basaltic andesite,some of which are intruded by post-collisional granites.The ultramafic body,a typical tectonic block in the suture zone,is completely serpentinized.Its geochemical features suggest that it is composed of harzburgite,typical of depleted mantle peridotite.The MORB and OIB–type basalts crop out in the Chasagang Formation,and the basaltic andesite crops out in the Leilongku Formation,both of which make up the Sumdo Group.Zircons from the OIB–type basalt with typical magmatic characteristics yield an average U–Pb age of306(95%)Ma,suggesting formation in a Paleo–Tethyan basin in the Carboniferous.U–Pb dating of zircon from the basaltic andesites yielded a concordant age of 265±3.1Ma,similar to the metamorphic age(266–270 Ma)of the eclogites,suggesting formation during subduction of the oceanic crust.Indosinian granodiorite with an age of194±4.3 Ma crops out north of the Sumdo suture.These granodiorites are similar to the late Indochina granites in the Lhasa block,and most likely formed during continent-arc collision or during closure of the Paleo-Tethyan Ocean.A four–stage model for the evolution of the Sumdo Paleo–Tethyan suture is proposed:1)From the Ordovician to the Devonian Gondwanaland was part of an epicontinental sea;2)In the Carboniferous,continental rifting produced a local basin,which then evolved into a Paleo-Tethyan ocean basin,dividing the Lhasa block into two segments;3)From the Permian to the early Triassic,Paleo-Tethyan oceanic crust was subducted northward and;4)In the middle Triassic and early Jurassic,the two fragments collided to form the modern Lhasa block. | CHEN Songyong YANG Jingsui ZHANG Cong XU Xiangzhen LI Zhaoli | 2017 | Acta Geologica Sinica(English Edition)2017,91,S1: | 0 |
