3Anatomical variation of infra-pyloric artery origination: A prospective multicenter observational study (IPA-Origin)显示文摘Objective: Infra-pyloric artery(IPA) is an important anatomical landmark in treatment of gastric cancer and is the key vessel for pylorus-preserving gastrectomy and subgroup of infra-pyloric lymph nodes. However, its anatomical variation is not thoroughly understood. Our study aimed to clarify the origination of the IPA.Methods: We did this prospective, multicenter, open-label, observational study at gastric surgery departments of34 hospitals in China. Gastric cancer patients aged 18 years or older and scheduled to undergo elective total or distal gastrectomy were assigned. During the surgery, IPA dissecting and exposing the origination point with photographs or video clips were required. The primary outcome was the origination of the IPA. Analysis of variance, χ~2 tests and Fisher's tests were used to analyze the differences between groups. The study is registered at Clinicaltrials.gov(No. NCT03071237).Results: Between May 8 and July 31, 2017, 429 patients were assigned for the study, and 419(97.7%) patients had the IPA dissected and recorded through photograph or video and were included in the primary outcome analysis. The median age was 62 years old, and 73.7% were male. Among the patients, 78.5% received laparoscopic surgery. Single IPA origination was identified in 398(95.0%) patients, including gastroduodenal artery(GDA) in154(36.8%) patients, anterior superior pancreaticoduodenal artery(ASPDA) in 130(31.0%) patients, and right gastroepiploic artery(RGEA) in 114(27.2%) patients. Fifteen(3.6%) patients were identified with multiple IPA and 6(1.4%) patients were identified as IPA absence. The differences in the distribution of surgical approach(P=0.003) and geographic area(P=0.030) were statistically significant. 4Paleomagnetic results from Late Carboniferous to Early Permian rocks in the northern Qiangtang terrane, Tibet, China, and their tectonic implications显示文摘Results of a systematic paleomagnetic study are reported based on Late Carboniferous to Early Permian sedimentary rocks on the north slope of the Tanggula Mountains,in the northern Qiangtang terrane(NQT),Tibet,China.Data revealed that magnetic minerals in limestone samples from the Zarigen Formation(CP^z)are primarily composed of magnetite,while those in sandstone samples from the Nuoribagaribao Formation(Pnr)are dominated by hematite alone,or hematite and magnetite in combination.Progressive thermal,or alternating field,demagnetization allowed us to isolate a stable high temperature component(HTC)in 127 specimens from 16 sites which successfully passed the conglomerate test,consistent with primary remnance.The tilt-corrected mean direction for Late Carboniferous to Early Permian rocks in the northern Qiangtang terrane is D_s=30.2°,I_s=-40.9°,k_s=269.0,a_(95)=2.3°,N=16,which yields a corresponding paleomagnetic pole at 25.7°N,241.5°E(dp/dm=2.8°/1.7°),and a paleolatitude of 23.4°S.Our results,together with previously reported paleomagnetic data,indicate that:(1)the NQT in Tibet,China,was located at a low latitude in the southern hemisphere,and may have belonged to the northern margin of Gondwana during the Late Carboniferous to Early Permian;(2)the Paleo-Tethys Ocean was large during the Late Carboniferous to Early Permian,and(3)the NQT subsequently moved rapidly northwards,perhaps related to the fact that the Paleo-Tethys Ocean was rapidly contracting from the Late Permian to Late Triassic while the Bangong Lake-Nujiang Ocean,the northern branch of the Neo-Tethys Ocean,expanded rapidly during this time.YANG XingFeng CHENG Xin ZHOU YaNan MA Lun ZHANG XiaoDong YAN ZhaoSheng PENG XiMing SU HaiLun WU HanNing 2017Science China Earth Sciences2017,60,1:5

8Evaluation of strategy for analyzing mouse liver plasma membrane proteome显示文摘Plasma membrane (PM) proteome is one of the major subproteomes present in the cell,and is very important in liver function. In the present work, C57 mouse liver PM was purified by density-gradient centrifugation. The purified PM was verified by electron microscope analysis and Western blotting. The results showed that the PM was enriched by more than 20-fold and the contamination of mitochondria was reduced by 2-fold compared with the homogenization fraction. Proteins were separated by 2DE and 1DE, trypsin-digested and submitted to ESI-Q-TOF and MALDI-TOF-TOF mass spectrometry or directly digested in solution and analyzed by LC-ESI ion trap mass spectrometry. In all, 547 non-redundant mouse liver PM proteins were identified, of which 34% contributed to plasma membrane or plasma membrane-related proteins. 11Molecular cytogenetic characterization of a novel wheat-Thinopyrum intermedium introgression line tolerant to phosphorus deficiency显示文摘Thinopyrum intermedium has been used as a resource for improving resistance to biotic and abiotic stresses and yield potential in common wheat. Wheat line SN304 was derived from a cross between common wheat cultivar Yannong 15 and Th. intermedium. Genomic in situ hybridization(GISH) produced no hybridization signal in SN304 using Th. intermedium genomic DNA as a probe, but fluorescence in situ hybridization(FISH) using oligonucleotides AFA-3, AFA-4, pAs1-1, pAs1-3, pAs1-4, pAs1-6, pSc119.2-1,and(GAA)10 as probes detected hybridization signals on chromosomes 2 A, 7 A, 2 B, 3 B, 6 B, and 7 B in SN304 that differed from Yannong 15. Results of specific markers also indicated that there were Th. intermedium chromatin introgressions on different chromosomes in SN304. In a hydroponic culture experiment, SN304 not only produced more biomass and higher stem and leaf dry weight but also accumulated more phosphorus than Yannong 15 under phosphorus-deficiency stress. 12Ultracompact topological photonic switch based on valley-vortex-enhanced high-efficiency phases shift显示文摘Topologically protected edge states based on valley photonic crystals(VPCs)have been widely studied,from theoretical verifcation to technical applications.However,research on integrated tuneable topological devices is still lacking.Here,we study the phase-shifting theory of topological edge modes based on a VPC structure.Benefiting from the phase vortex formed by the VPC structure,the optical path of the topological edge mode in the propagation direction is approximately two-fold that of the conventional optical mode in a strip waveguide.In experiments,we show a 1.57-fold improvement inπ-phase tuning efficiency.By leveraging the highefficiency phase-shifting properties and the sharp-turn features of the topological waveguide,we demonstrate an ultracompact 1×2 thermo-optic topological switch(TOTS)operating at telecommunication wavelengths.A switching power of 18.2 mW is needed with an ultracompact device footprint of 25.66×28.3μm in the wavelength range of 1530-1582 nm.To the best of our knowledge,this topological photonic switch is the smallest switch of any dielectric or semiconductor 1×2/2×2 broadband optical switches,including thermo-optic and electro-optic switches.In addition,a high-speed transmission experiment employing the proposed TOTS is carried out to demonstrate the robust transmission of high-speed data.Our work reveals the phase shifting mechanism of valley edge modes,which may enable diverse topological functional devices in many fields,such as optical communications,nanophotonics,and quantum information processing.Hongwei Wang Gujing Tang Yu He Zhen Wang Xingfeng Li Lu Sun Yong Zhang Luqi Yuan Jianwen Dong Yikai Su 2022Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,11:1

18Deubiquitinase USP28 inhibits ubiquitin ligase KLHL2-mediated uridine-cytidine kinase 1 degradation and confers sensitivity to 5'-azacytidine-resistant human leukemia cells显示文摘Resistance to the chemotherapeutic drug 5'-azacytidine(5'-AZA)is a major obstacle in the treatment of patients with acute myeloid leukemia(AML).The uridine-cytidine kinase 1(UCK1)has an established role in activating 5'-AZA and its protein level is significantly downregulated in patients resistant to the drug.However,the underlying molecular mechanism for the reduced UCK1 expression remains to be elucidated.We demonstrated that the ubiquitin E3 ligase KLHL2 interacted with UCK1 and mediated its polyubiquitination at the K81 residue and degradation.We showed that deubiquitinase USP28 antagonized KLHL2-mediated polyubiquitylation of UCK1.We also provided evidence that ATM-mediated phosphorylation of USP28 resulted in its disassociation from KLHL2 and UCK1 destabilization.Conversely,UCK1 phosphorylation by 5'-AZA-activated ATM enhanced the KLHL2-UCK1 complex formation,Importantly,silencing KLHL2 or USP28 overexpression not only inhibited AML cell proliferation but also sensitized AML cells to 5'-AZA-induced apoptosis in vitro and in vivo.These results were no longer observed in USP28-deficient cells.Zhang Heng Huang He Feng Xing Song Huirven Zhang Zhiyong Shen Aizong Qiu Xingfeng 2021解剖学杂志2021,44,S01:0
19Primary cardiac CIC-rearranged undifferentiated sarcoma in an infant显示文摘Introduction:Cardiac neoplasms are particularly rare in children,and the majority of these tumors are benign.Approximately 10%of cardiac neoplasms are malignant,including soft tissue sarcomas and lymphomas.Cardiac tumors could also be metastases.Primitive EWSR1-negative round or spindle cell undifferentiated sarcoma harboring CIC gene translocation is a highly aggressive malignancy mainly occurring in soft tissues.However,it has not yet been described in the heart.Case presentation:We report a sarcoma that arose from the right ventricle in a 1-year-old girl.Histologically,it was composed of closely arranged small round or oval undifferentiated cells with fibrovascular separation,hyaline degeneration,and geographical necrosis.Immunohistochemically,the neoplastic cells exhibited focal membrane positivity for CD99 and diffuse positivity for WT1 and ETV4.Fluorescent in situ hybridization analysis showed EWSR1-negative but CIC-positive split signals.The breakpoint was also confirmed by whole genome sequencing.Conclusion:Based on morphological,immunohistochemical and molecular findings,this cardiac mass was diagnosed as CIC-rearranged sarcoma.Meng Zhang Yeran Yang Xiaoxing Guan Xingfeng Yao Yongli Guo Lejian He 2021Pediatric Investigation2021,5,4:0
20Zirconium metal organic cages:From phosphate selective sensing to derivate forming显示文摘Luminescent metal organic cages(MOCs)have attracted great interest as a unique class of sensing substrates.In this work,intrinsically fluorescent Zr-MOCs were successfully used as fluorescent probes for the sensitive and selective detection of phosphate anions in water and real samples.When the ligand and Zr ion clusters form a cage,the intrinsic fluorescence of the ligand was tuned from high to weak emission due to the ligand-to-metal charge transfer(LMCT)effect,and this weakened fluorescence can be restored by the addition of phosphate.The degree of fluorescence enhancement is positively correlated with the added phosphate concentration,and the efficacy of this strategy is demonstrated by a linear phosphate detection range of 5–500µmol/L and a detection limit of 1.06µmol/L.We discuss the interaction between phosphate and Zr in scattering spectrum and MS,respectively.In comparison to phosphate adsorption on Zr-metal organic frameworks(MOFs),where phosphate connects different numbers of cages,both blocking the LMCT effect and causing the cages to aggregate.We also found that the phosphate displaces the ligand from the cage when the phosphate concentration is further expanded,resulting in the formation of new derivatives.This derivative was shown to be useful as a Lewis acid catalyst and as a rare earth ion adsorbent.Ziyuan Gao Jia Jia Wentong Fan Tong Liao Xingfeng Zhang 2022Chinese Chemical Letters2022,33,9:0
