| 1 | Experimental Study on Emission Performance of an LPP/TVC显示文摘A key issue in the commercial aircraft engine design is environmental acceptability, and designers are continually challenged to reduce emissions. In this paper, an experimental investigation is performed to evaluate the emission performance of a liquid-fueled trapped vortex combustor (TVC) under lean premixed prevaporized (LPP) mode. When operating as an LPP system, a TVC is fueled both in the cavities and in the main stream. The correlations between the emission performance and the total excess air ratio, the positions (4 positions) of the fuel injectors in the main stream, and the inlet temperature are obtained. Experi- mental results show that both the volume concentrations of unburnt hydrocarbon (UHC) and NOx (NO, NO2 usually grouped together as NOx) increase with the increase of total excess air ratio from 1.5 to 3.0; the emission performance relies heavily on the position of the main stream injector, and the best performance is achieved at Position 4 in the experiments; the increase of the inlet temperature impacts on the emission performance positively; the smallest volume concentrations of UHC and NOx obtained in the experiment are 94×10 6 and 2.3×10 6 respectively. | 2 | Design and Performance of an Improved Trapped Vortex Combustor显示文摘A trapped vortex combustor (TVC) has been a very promising novel concept for it offers improvements in lean blow out, altitude relight, operating range, as well as a potential to decrease NOx emissions compared to conventional combustors. The present paper discusses the improved designs of the new combustor over the prior ones of our research group, including that:a) the over-all dimensions, both axial and radial, are reduced to those of an actual aero-engine combustor; b) the air flow distribution is optimized, and especially 15% of the air is fed into the liner as cooling air; c) a straight-wall diffuser with divergence angle 9°is added. A series of experiments (cavity-fueled only, under atmospheric pressure) has been conducted to investigate the performance of the improved TVC. Experimental results show that at the inlet temperature of 523 K, the inlet pressure of 0.1 MPa, stable operation of the TVC test rig is observed for the Mach number 0.15-0.34, indicating good flame stability; the combustion efficiency obtained in this paper falls into the range of 60%-96%; as the total excess air ratio increases, the combustion efficiency decreases, while the increase of the inlet temperature is beneficial to high combustion efficiency; besides, the optimal Mach numbers for high combustion efficiency under different inlet conditions are confirmed. The outlet temperature profiles feature a bottom in the midheight of the exit. | 3 | Nasal delivery of broadly neutralizing antibodies protects mice from lethal challenge with SARS-CoV-2 delta and omicron variants显示文摘Multiple new variants of severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2(SARS-Co V-2)have constantly emerged,as the delta and omicron variants,which have developed resistance to currently gained neutralizing antibodies.This highlights a critical need to discover new therapeutic agents to overcome the variants mutations.Despite the availability of vaccines against coronavirus disease 2019(COVID-19),the use of broadly neutralizing antibodies has been considered as an alternative way for the prevention or treatment of SARS-Co V-2 variants infection.Here,we show that the nasal delivery of two previously characterized broadly neutralizing antibodies(F61 and H121)protected K18-h ACE2 mice against lethal challenge with SARS-Co V-2 variants.The broadly protective efficacy of the F61 or F61/F121 cocktail antibodies was evaluated by lethal challenge with the wild strain(WIV04)and multiple variants,including beta(B.1.351),delta(B.1.617.2),and omicron(B.1.1.529)at 200or 1000 TCID_(50),and the minimum antibody administration doses(5-1.25 mg/kg body weight)were also evaluated with delta and omicron challenge.Fully prophylactic protections were found in all challenged groups with both F61 and F61/H121 combination at the administration dose of 20 mg/kg body weight,and corresponding mice lung viral RNA showed negative,with almost all alveolar septa and cavities remaining normal.Furthermore,low-dose antibody treatment induced significant prophylactic protection against lethal challenge with delta and omicron variants,whereas the F61/H121 combination showed excellent results against omicron infection.Our findings indicated the potential use of broadly neutralizing monoclonal antibodies as prophylactic and therapeutic agent for protection of current emerged SARS-Co V-2 variants infection. | Jia Lu Qiangling Yin Rongjuan Pei Qiu Zhang Yuanyuan Qu Yongbing Pan Lina Sun Ding Gao Cuiqin Liang Jingwen Yang Wei Wu Jiandong Li Zongqiang Cui Zejun Wang Xinguo Li Dexin Li Shiwen Wang Kai Duan Wuxiang Guan Mifang Liang Xiaoming Yang | 2022 | Virologica Sinica2022,37,2: | 4 |

| 5 | Scattered seeding of CAR T cells in solid tumors augments anticancer efficacy显示文摘Chimeric antigen receptor T cell(CAR T) therapy was a milestone in the treatment of relapsed and refractory B cell malignancies. However, beneficial effects of CAR T cells have not been obtained in solid tumors yet. Herein, we implement a porous microneedle patch that accommodates CAR T cells and allows in situ penetration-mediated seeding of CAR T cells when implanted in the tumor bed or in the post-surgical resection cavity. CAR T cells loaded in the pores of the microneedle tips were readily escorted to the tumor in an evenly scattered manner without losing their activity. Such microneedle-mediated local delivery enhanced infiltration and immunostimulation of CAR T cells as compared to direct intratumoral injection. | 6 | A novel hydrogel with glucose-responsive hyperglycemia regulation and antioxidant activity for enhanced diabetic wound repair显示文摘Enhanced diabetic wound repair remained a global challenge.Herein,we reported a novel hydrogel with glucose-responsive hyperglycemia regulation and antioxidant activity for enhanced diabetic wound repair.In this study,gallic acid(GA)with strong antioxidant activity was grafted onto chitosan(CS)chains by one-step synthesis,and then incorporated into poly(ethylene glycol)diacrylate(PEG-DA)hydrogel matrix to obtain a novel antioxidant hybrid hydrogel(PEG-DA/CS-GA).Meanwhile,polyethyleneimine(PEI)was modified with a unique glucose-sensitive phenylboronic acid(PBA)molecule to load insulin(PEIPBA/insulin nano-particles,PEI-PBA/insulin NPs),which could be immobilized in the PEG-DA/CS-GA hybrid hydrogel by the formation of dynamic borate bond between the phenylboronic acid groups on the PEI-PBA and the polyphenol groups on the CSGA.The results indicated that the PEG-DA/PEI-PBA/insulin/CS-GA(PPIC)hydrogel platform not only had remarkable biocompatibility,but also displayed extraordinary antioxidant properties(DPPH scavenging rate>95.0%),and effectively protected cells from oxidative damage(decreased MDA levels,increased Superoxide dismutase(SOD)levels and stable GSH/GSSG levels).Meanwhile,the PPIC hydrogel also exhibited unique glucose-responsive insulin release characteristics,and effectively regulated the blood glucose level.The in vitro and in vivo results demonstrated that our PPIC hydrogel could promoted angiogenesis(increased VEGF and CD 31 expression),reshaped the inflammatory microenvironment(decreased IL-6 and increased IL-10 level),and achieved wound closure within 20 days.All these results strongly indicated that the PPIC hydrogel represented a tough and efficient platform for diabetic wound treatment. | Zejun Xu Guiting Liu Qing Li Jun Wu | 2022 | Nano Research2022,15,6: | 2 |
| 7 | Simultaneous optical and radar observations of poleward moving auroral forms under different IMF conditions显示文摘Using high temporal resolution optical data obtained from three-wavelength all-sky imagers at Chinese Yellow River Station in the Arctic, together with the EISCAT Svalbard radar (ESR) and SuperDARN radars, we investigated the dayside poleward moving auroral forms (PMAFs) and the associated plasma features in the polar ionosphere under different interplanetary magnetic field (IMF) conditions, between 0900 and 1010 UT on 22 December 2003. Simultaneous optical and ESR observations revealed that all PMAFs were clearly associated with pulsed particle precipitations. During northward IMF, particles can precipitate into lower altitudes and reach the ionospheric E-region, and there is a reverse convection cell associated with these PMAFs. This cell is one of the typical signatures of the dayside high-latitude (lobe) reconnection in the polar ionosphere. These results indicate that the PMAFs were associated with the high-latitude reconnection. | 10 | Auxin signaling module OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF regulates grain yield traits in rice显示文摘Auxin is an important phytohormone in plants, and auxin signaling pathways in rice play key roles in regulating its growth, development, and productivity. To investigate how rice grain yield traits are regulated by auxin signaling pathways and to facilitate their application in rice improvement, we validated the functional relationships among regulatory genes such as OsIAA10, OsSK41, and OsARF21 that are involved in one of the auxin(OsIAA10) signaling pathways. We assessed the phenotypic effects of these genes on several grain yield traits across two environments using knockout and/or overexpression transgenic lines.Based on the results, we constructed a model that showed how grain yield traits were regulated by OsIAA10 and OsTIR1, OsAFB2, and OsSK41 and OsmiR393 in the OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF module and by OsARF21 in the transcriptional regulation of downstream auxin response genes in the OsSK41-OsIAA10-OsARF module. The population genomic analyses revealed rich genetic diversity and the presence of major functional alleles at most of these loci in rice populations. The strong differentiation of many major alleles between Xian/indica and Geng/japonica subspecies and/or among modern varieties and landraces suggested that they contributed to improved productivity during evolution and breeding. | 14 | A polyphenol-modified chitosan hybrid hydrogel with enhanced antimicrobial and antioxidant activities for rapid healing of diabetic wounds显示文摘High oxidative stress injury and bacterial infection are the main challenges that impair wound healing in diabetic patients.Therefore,a hydrogel with enhanced antimicrobial and antioxidant properties was developed for rapid healing of diabetic wounds.In this study,chitosan methacrylate-gallic acid(CSMA-GA)polymer with antioxidant activity,antimicrobial activity,and ultraviolet(UV)-triggered gelling properties was developed as a hydrogel precursor.Meanwhile,amphiphilic Pluronic F127 molecules were used to load hydrophobic chlorhexidine drug molecules to obtain F127/chlorhexidine nanoparticle(NP)with strong antibacterial activity.Subsequently,F127/chlorhexidine NPs were encapsulated in CSMA-GA hydrogel to further enhance its antibacterial activity.The hybrid hydrogel platform(CSMA-GA/F127/chlorhexidine(CMGFC))exhibited high antibacterial efficiency(>99.9%)and strong reactive oxygen species(ROS)scavenging ability(>80.0%),which effectively protected cells from external oxidative stress(upregulated superoxide dismutase(SOD)and glutathione/oxidized glutathione disulfide(GSH/GSSG)levels and downregulated malondialdehyde(MDA)levels).Moreover,in vivo results proved that the CMGFC hydrogel significantly reduced inflammatory responses(downregulated interleukin-6(IL-6)and upregulated interleukin-10(IL-10)levels),promoted angiogenesis(upregulated vascular endothelial growth factor(VEGF)and platelet endothelial cell adhesion molecule-1(CD 31)levels),and wound healing(enhanced collagen deposition and tissue remodelling).Overall,the CMGFC hydrogel with enhanced antimicrobial and antioxidant properties demonstrated significant potential to enhance diabetic wound healing. | Zejun Xu Guiting Liu Li Zheng Jun Wu | 2023 | Nano Research2023,16,1: | 0 |

| 18 | Construction of Live Attenuated Vaccine against Vib- rio alginolyticus and the Evaluation on Its Immuno- protection Effect显示文摘Vibrio alginolyticus,a gram-negative bacterium has been described to be one of the most common and economically important aquatic pathogens of fish and shellfish. Vaccine immunization is an effective approach preventing V. alginolyticus infection. Attenuated vaccine stimulates systemic immune response in the host,but few attenuated vaccine against V. alginolyticus is available. The type III secretion system( T3SS),an important pathogenic factor of V. alginolyticus,is used by bacterial pathogens to inject effector proteins into the cytoplasm of their host cells. The T3 SS forms a structure called needle complex with a multi-ring base that spans the bacteria and a needle-like extension that protrudes several nanometers from the bacterial surface. vscO locates at the ' needle' site of T3 SS,playing the role of escorting the molecular chaperone and effector proteins into host cells and further inducing the death of host cells. In this paper,an in-frame deletion mutant of vscO was constructed using overlap PCR and homologous recombination technology combining with chloramphenicol( Cm) and sucrose screening. The LD50 changes of ZJ03ΔvscO mutant strains compared with the strain ZJ03 were examined in grouper( Epinephelus coioides). The ZJ03ΔvscO mutant showed about 150 times decrease in virulence in E. coioides compared with wide type ZJ03. After vaccination with ZJ03ΔvscO in E. coioides through injection and immersion,the specific antibody titers were markedly higher than that in the saline control group( P < 0. 05). The titers of injection and immersion group on the forth week reached the maximums at 1∶ 2 048 and 1∶ 128,respectively. The relative percentage survival( RPS) of injection group was 84%,while that in immersion group was 68%.These results indicate that the ZJ03ΔvscO of V. alginolyticus has a high immunogenicity,and can be used as live attenuated vaccine. In addition,RPS may be affected by vaccination and infection methods. | 19 | Temporal and spatial stability of the EM/PM molecular subtypes in adult diffuse glioma显示文摘Detailed characterizations of genomic alterations have not identified subtype-specific vulnerabilities in adult gliomas. Mapping gliomas into developmental programs may uncover new vulnerabilities that are not strictly related to genomic alterations. After identifying conserved gene modules co-expressed with EGFR or PDGFRA (EM or PM), we recently proposed an EM/PM classification scheme for adult gliomas in a histological subtype- and grade-independent manner. By using cohorts of bulk samples, paired primary and recurrent samples, multi-region samples from the same glioma, single-cell RNA-seq samples, and clinical samples, we here demonstrate the temporal and spatial stability of the EM and PM subtypes. The EM and PM subtypes, which progress in a subtype-specific mode, are robustly maintained in paired longitudinal samples. Elevated activities of cell proliferation, genomic instability and microenvironment, rather than subtype switching, mark recurrent gliomas. Within individual gliomas, the EM/PM subtype was preserved across regions and single cells. Malignant cells in the EM and PM gliomas were correlated to neural stem cell and oligodendrocyte progenitor cell compartment, respectively. Thus, while genetic makeup may change during progression and/or within different tumor areas, adult gliomas evolve within a neurodevelopmental framework of the EM and PM molecular subtypes. In this article, we propose a framework of map search service using Region-of-Interest (ROI) as the query result, which can greatly reduce users shopping distance among multiple stores. High order Voronoi diagram is used to reduce the time complexity of Region-of-Interests generation.
