3Thermal simulation experiment of organic matter-rich shale and implication for organic pore formation and evolution显示文摘A thermal simulation experiment of diagenesis,hydrocarbon generation and evolution of the organic matter-rich shale was carried out to investigate formation and evolution of organic pores under the constraint from immature,low mature,mature,high mature to overmature geological conditions.The argon ion polishingefield emission scanning electron microscope was used to analyze microscopic features of original samples and simulated samples of various evolution stages.Results showed organic pores could be formed during hydrocarbon generation from biochemical and hypothermal processes in the immature and low mature stages,and the shale shallow-buried depth might be favorable for preservation of organic pores;the generation and evolution of organic pores were of heterogeneity,and the maturity was not a decisive factor which controlled formation and development of organic pores,while the difference in physiochemical structure of organic matter played an important role in formation and evolution of organic pores;the organic pore development was obviously related with the retained oil,and the organic pores formed in the oil generation stage were easily filled by pyrolysis asphalt;organic contraction fractures/organic marginal pores might be important storage spaces for shale gas occurrence,and their development was mainly controlled by the physiochemical structure and evolution degree of organic matters when the chemical adsorbed organic matter was converted into the physical adsorbed organic matter and the free organic matter.Zhongliang Ma Lunju Zheng Xuhui Xu Fang Bao Xiaolu Yu 2017Petroleum Research2017,2,4:4

5Perspectives and challenges of hydrogen storage in solid-state hydrides显示文摘Hydrogen has been widely considered as a clean energy carrier that bridges the energy producers and energy consumers in an efficient and safe way for a sustainable society.Hydrogen can be stored in a gas,liquid and solid states and each method has its unique advantage.Though compressed hydrogen and liquefied hydrogen are mature technologies for industrial applications,appropriate measures are necessary to deal with the issues at high pressure up to around 100 MPa and low temperature at around 20 K.Distinct from those technologies,storing hydrogen in solid-state hydrides can realize a more compact and much safer approach that does not require high hydrogen pressure and cryogenic temperature.In this review,we will provide an overview of the majormaterial groups that are capable of absorbing and desorbing hydrogen reversibly.The main features on hydrogen storage properties of each material group are summarized,together with the discussion of the key issues and the guidance of materials design,aiming at providing insights for new material development as well as industrial applications.Zhen Chen Zhongliang Ma Jie Zheng Xingguo Li Etsuo Akiba Hai-Wen Li 2021Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2021,34,1:4
6Textbook Outcome as a measure of surgical quality assessment and prognosis in gastric neuroendocrine carcinoma:A large multicenter sample analysis显示文摘Objective:Quality assurance is crucial for oncological surgical treatment assessment.For rare diseases,singlequality indicators are not enough.We aim to develop a comprehensive and reproducible measurement,called the'Textbook Outcome'(TO),to assess the quality of surgical treatment and prognosis of gastric neuroendocrine carcinoma(G-NEC)patients.Methods:Data from patients with primary diagnosed G-NEC included in 24 high-volume Chinese hospitals from October 2005 to September 2018 were analyzed.TO included receiving a curative resection,≥15 lymph nodes examined,no severe postoperative complications,hospital stay≤21 d,and no hospital readmission≤30 d after discharge.Hospital variation in TO was analyzed using a case mix-adjusted funnel plot.Prognostic factors of survival and risk factors for non-Textbook Outcome(non-TO)were analyzed using Cox and logistic models,respectively.Results:TO was achieved in 56.6%of 860 G-NEC patients.TO patients had better overall survival(OS),disease-free survival(DFS),and recurrence-free survival(RFS)than non-TO patients(P<0.05).Moreover,TO patients accounted for 60.3%of patients without recurrence.Multivariate Cox analysis revealed non-TO as an independent risk factor for OS,DFS,and RFS of G-NEC patients(P<0.05).Increasing TO rates were associated with improved OS for G-NEC patients,but not hospital volume.Multivariate logistic regression revealed that nonlower tumors,open surgery,and>200 mL blood loss were independent risk factors for non-TO patients(P<0.05).Conclusions:TO is strongly associated with multicenter surgical quality and prognosis for G-NEC patients.Factors predicting non-TO are identified,which may help guide strategies to optimize G-NEC outcomes.Qiyue Chen Zhongliang Ning Zhiyu Liu Yanbing Zhou Qingliang He Yantao Tian Hankun Hao Wei Lin Lixin Jiang Gang Zhao Ping Li Chaohui Zheng Changming Huang on behalf of the Study Group for Gastric Neuroendocrine Tumors 2021Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2021,33,4:2
7Antihepatofibrotic effect of Guizhifuling pill(桂枝茯苓丸) on carbon tetrachloride-induced liver fibrosis in mice显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the protective effects and the underlying mechanism of Guizhifuling pill(桂枝茯苓丸, GZFL) on carbon tetrachloride(CCl4)-induced hepatic fibrosis in mice. METHODS: Male ICR mice by intraperitoneally administered with 20% CCl4(mixed 1∶4 in soybean oil) to induce liver fibrosis. Mice that underwent CCl4 were orally with GZFL. Using hematoxylin and eosin and Masson staining to examine the pathological changes in liver tissue. Serum biochemical parameters, antioxidant enzyme activity and proinflammatory cytokines was assessed. Nuclear factor-kappa B(NF-κB) pathway and nuclear factor-erythroid 2-related factor 2(Nrf2) family members were evaluated by Western blotting. RESULTS: Our findings indicated that GZFL could effectively suppress the progression of liver fibrosis in mice, which was determined based on the improvement in liver function and reduction of collagen deposition. GZFL treatment also decreased the level of cytokines and increased the activity of antioxidant enzymes in liver tissue. Moreover, GZFL exerted anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects through regulating the Nrf2-mediated antioxidant system and inhibiting the NF-κB pathway. 8Excellent light-capture capability of trilobal SiNW for ultra-high JSC in single-nanowire solar cells显示文摘Single-.nanowire solar cells with a unique light-concentration property are expected to exceed the Shockley-Queisser limit.The architecture of single nanowire is an important factor to regulate its optical performance.We designed a trilobal silicon nanowire(SiNW)with two cquivalent scales that possesses superior light-absorption efficiency in the whole wavelength range and shows good tolerance for incident angle.The electric field distribution in this geometry is concentrated in the blade with small equivalent scale and pivot with large equivalent scale,respectively,in the short wavelength range and long wavelength range.Corresponding good light absorption of trilobal SiNW in the two wavelength ranges leads to stronger total light absorption capacity than that of cylindrical SiNW.Trilobal single nanowire solar cells can obtain a short-circuit current density(JSC)of 647 mA·cm^2,which provides a new choice for designing single nanowire with excellent light-capture capability.ZHONGLIANG GAO GUILU Lin YUPENG ZHENG NA SANG YINGFENG LI LEI CHEN MEICHENG LI 2020Photonics Research2020,8,6:2
9Effect of a Hybrid Micro/Nano-integrated Titanium Surface on Behavior of Rat Osteoblasts显示文摘The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of a new combined micro/nanoscale implant surface feature on osteoblasts' behaviors including cell morphology, adhesion, proliferation, differentiation, and mineralization in vitro. A new micro/nano-hybrid topography surface was fabricated on commercial pure titanium(Cp Ti) by a two-step sandblasted acid-etching and subsequent alkali-and heattreatment(SA-AH). The conventional sandblasted/acid-etching(SA) treatment and alkali and heat(AH) treatment were also carried out on the Cp Ti as controls. Surface microstructures of the Ti disc samples were assessed by scanning electron microscopy(SEM). The neonatal rat calvaria-derived osteoblasts were seeded on these discs and the initial cell morphology was evaluated by SEM and immunofluorescence. Initial adhesion of the cells was then assayed by DAPI staining at 1, 2, and 4 h after seeding. The Cell Counting Kit-8(CCact K8) assay, gene expression of osteoblastic markers(ALP, Col 1, OCN, BSP, OSX, Cbfα1) and Alizarin Red S staining assays were monitored respectively for cell proliferations, differentiation and mineralization. The results show significant differences in osteoblast's behaviors on the four kinds of Ti surfaces. Compared with Cp Ti surface, the SA and AH treatment can significantly promote cell adhesion, differentiation and mineralization of osteoblasts. In particular, the combined SA and AH treatments exhibit synergistic effects in comparison with the treatment of SA and AH individually, and are more favorable for stimulating a series of osteogenous responses from cell adhesion to mineralization of osteoblasts. 12Unraveling the triplet excited-state dynamics of Bi^(3+)in vacancyordered double perovskite Cs_(2)SnCl_(6) nanocrystals显示文摘Luminescent metal halides doped with ns^(2-)metal ions such as 6s^(2-)metal Bi^(3+)have aroused reviving interest owing to their outstanding optical properties;however,the origin of the photoluminescence(PL)remains controversial and unclear.Herein,we report a strategy for the controlled synthesis of Bi^(3+)-doped vacancy-ordered double perovskite Cs_(2)SnCl_(6)nanocrystals(NCs)and unravel the triplet excited-state dynamics of Bi^(3+)through temperature-dependent PL and ultrafast femtosecond transient absorption spectroscopies.Owing to the aliovalent Bi^(3+)doping in the spatially confined zero-dimensional(0D)structure of Cs2SnCl6,Bi^(3+)ions experience an enhancive Jahn-Teller distortion in the excited state,which results in intense broadband blue PL originating from the inter-configurational 3P0,1→1S0 transitions of Bi^(3+)at 450 nm,with a large Stokes shift and a quantum yield of 35.2%.Specifically,an unusual thermal-enhanced Jahn-Teller splitting of the excitation band and a remarkable transition of the PL lifetime from ms at 10 K toμs at 300 K were observed,as solid evidence for the isolated Bi^(3+)emission.These findings clarify the controversy about the PL origin in ns^(2-)metal ion-doped lead-free luminescent metal halides,thereby paving the way for exploring their optoelectronic applications.Mengyao Jin Wei Zheng Zhongliang Gong Ping Huang Renfu Li Jin Xu Xingwen Cheng Wei Zhang Xueyuan Chen 2022Nano Research2022,15,7:1
13Occurrence Characteristics of Saline-Lacustrine Shale-Oil in the Qianjiang Depression,Jianghan Basin,Central China显示文摘The amount of shale oil and its characterization are key issues in the study of shale oil.At present,many scholars use a variety of methods to evaluate the amount of shale oil,and use the calculated amount of hydrocarbons to analyze its influencing factors;however,there is lack of detailed research on the storage space for shale-oil and it’s influencing factors.In view of this issue,gas chromatography(GC),gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS),soxhlet extraction(SE),fieldemission scanning electron microscopy(FE-SEM),low-temperature nitrogen adsorption(LTNA),highpressure mercury intrusion(HPMI),and X-ray diffraction(XRD)were used to analyze and compare samples from two wells located in different deposition locations.The unconventional Well BYY2 and BX7 s were drilled in the depocenter and distal area of the Qianjiang Formation,respectively.Controlled by differences in the organic matter type and sedimentary environment,the organic matter in Well BYY2,which was found to be characterized by laminar shale,mainly originated from aquatic algae.The results showed that as the total organic carbon(TOC)content increased,the amount of shaleoil in the pores increased.Shale-oil was mostly stored in mesopores and macropores that had been preserved by dolomite minerals of a biogenic origin and also occurred in pores sized 5–200 nm and>1μm.Dolomite minerals of a biogenic origin and clay minerals contributed to the occurrence of shaleoil.In comparison,the organic matter in Well BX7 has been greatly influenced by terrestrial organic matter.Pores in the massive mudstones from Well BX7 were determined to be mainly mesopores preserved by clay minerals and quartz,and the shale-oil was mostly stored within the pores of<40 nm.When the TOC content was~2.5 wt.%,the generated shale-oil reached saturation.Clay minerals contributed to the occurrence of shale-oil,whereas quartz only contributed to the occurrence of shale-oil in macropores.Zhongliang Sun Zhiliang He Furong Wang Yuanjia Han Sheng He Yuguang Hou Jing Luo Youheng Zheng Shiqiang Wu 2022Journal of Earth Science2022,33,4:1

18Effect of Shale Reservoir Characteristics on Shale Oil Movability in the Lower Third Member of the Shahejie Formation, Zhanhua Sag显示文摘To reveal the effect of shale reservoir characteristics on the movability of shale oil and its action mechanism in the lower third member of the Shahejie Formation(Es3l), samples with different features were selected and analyzed using N2 adsorption, high-pressure mercury injection capillary pressure(MICP), nuclear magnetic resonance(NMR), high-speed centrifugation, and displacement image techniques. The results show that shale pore structure characteristics control shale oil movability directly. Movable oil saturation has a positive relationship with pore volume for radius > 2 μm, as larger pores often have higher movable oil saturation, indicating that movable oil is present in relatively larger pores. The main reasons for this are as follows. The relatively smaller pores often have oil-wetting properties because of organic matter, which has an unfavorable effect on the flow of oil, while the relatively larger pores are often wetted by water, which is helpful to shale oil movability. The rich surface provided by the relatively smaller pores is beneficial to the adsorption of immovable oil. Meanwhile, the relatively larger pores create significant pore volume for movable oil. Moreover, the larger pores often have good pore connectivity. Pores and fractures are interconnected to form a complex fracture network, which provides a good permeability channel for shale oil flow. The smaller pores are mostly distributed separately;thus, they are not conducive to the flow of shale oil. The mineral composition and fabric macroscopically affect the movability of shale oil. Calcite plays an active role in shale oil movability by increasing the brittleness of shale and is more likely to form micro-cracks under the same stress background. Clay does not utilize shale oil flow because of its large specific surface area and its block effect. 19Modulator-directed assembly of hybrid composites based on metalorganic frameworks and upconversion nanoparticles显示文摘Hybrid composites made of metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)and lanthanide-doped upconversion nanoparticles(UCNPs)have attracted considerable interest for their synergistically enhanced functions in various applications such as chemical sensing,photocatalysis,anticounterfeiting and nanomedicine.However,precise assembly of MOF/UCNP hybrid composites with tunable morphologies remains a challenge due to the lack of effective synthetic methods and fundamental understanding of the growth mechanisms.Herein,we propose a modulator-directed assembly strategy to synthesize a series of ZIF-8@UCNP composites(ZIF-8=zeolitic imidazolate framework-8).The UCNPs densely paved on the surface of ZIF-8 microcrystals and endowed the composites with intense upconversion blue emission,which were verified by steady-state/transient photoluminescence(PL)spectroscopy and single-particle imaging.Ethylenediamine(EDA)was firstly used as a modulator to fine-tune the predominant MOF facets and realized distinct morphologies of the composites.By adjusting the concentration of EDA from 0 to 25 mmol/L,the morphology of the ZIF-8@UCNP composites was tuned from rhombic dodecahedron(RD)to truncated rhombic dodecahedron(TRD),cube with truncated edges(CTE),cube,and finally a unique form of interpenetration twins(IT).The nucleation and growth process of the ZIF-8@UCNP composites was monitored by time-dependent scanning electron microscopy(SEM)images and the formation mechanism was thoroughly revealed.Furthermore,we demonstrated that the strategy for assembly of morphology-controllable ZIF-8@UCNP composites was generally applicable to various UCNPs with different sizes and shapes.The proposed strategy is expected to open up new avenues for the controllable synthesis of MOF/UCNP composites toward diverse applications.Yanhui Feng Xingjun Li Shan Lu Renfu Li Zhongliang Gong Xiaoying Shang Yifan Pei Wei Zheng Datao Tu Xueyuan Chen 2023Nano Research2023,16,1:0
