1Minimal invasive microscopic tooth preparation in esthetic restoration: a specialist consensus显示文摘By removing a part of the structure,the tooth preparation provides restorative space,bonding surface,and finish line for various restorations on abutment.Preparation technique plays critical role in achieving the optimal result of tooth preparation.With successful application of microscope in endodontics for>30 years,there is a full expectation of microscopic dentistry.However,as relatively little progress has been made in the application of microscopic dentistry in prosthodontics,the following assumptions have been proposed:Is it suitable to choose the tooth preparation technique under the naked eye in the microscopic vision?Is there a more accurate preparation technology intended for the microscope?To obtain long-term stable therapeutic effects,is it much easier to achieve maximum tooth preservation and retinal protection and maintain periodontal tissue and oral function health under microscopic vision?Whether the microscopic prosthodontics is a gimmick or a breakthrough in obtaining an ideal tooth preparation should be resolved in microscopic tooth preparation.This article attempts to illustrate the concept,core elements,and indications of microscopic minimally invasive tooth preparation,physiological basis of dental pulp,periodontium and functions involved in tool preparation,position ergonomics and visual basis for dentists,comparison of tooth preparation by naked eyes and a microscope,and comparison of different designs of microscopic minimally invasive tooth preparation techniques.Furthermore,a clinical protocol for microscopic minimally invasive tooth preparation based on target restorative space guide plate has been put forward and new insights on the quantity and shape of microscopic minimally invasive tooth preparation has been provided.Haiyang Yu Yuwei Zhao Junying Li Tian Luo Jing Gao Hongchen Liu Weicai Liu Feng Liu Ke Zhao Fei Liu Chufan Ma Juergen MSetz Shanshan Liang Lin Fan Shanshan Gao Zhuoli Zhu Jiefei Shen Jian Wang Zhimin Zhu Xuedong Zhou 2019International Journal of Oral Science2019,11,4:25

3Drug targeting through platelet membrane-coated nanoparticles for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis显示文摘The effective drug treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is hindered by poordelivery efficiency to the diseased site and the serious side effects caused bywide-spread drug distribution. Traditional drug-targeting strategies, such asligand modification, are complex, laborious, and inefficient. Inspired by theintrinsic relationship between platelets and RA, platelet-mimetic nanoparticles(PNPs) were developed for targeted drug delivery in RA. Through plateletreceptor-mediated adhesion, an intact platelet membrane was coated onto poly(lactic-co-glycolic add) nanopartides, endowing the resulting PNPs with variousfunctional receptors. By coating with platelet membranes, the nanoparticleswere stabilized and had a better circulation profile, providing a benefit forpassive targeting. In vitro binding of PNPs to inflamed endothelium, and in vivoaccumulation in joints of a collagen-induced arthritis (CIA) mouse model of RAwere significantly improved via P-selectin and GVPI recognition, indicating thatthe PNPs could effectively target to RA tissues through multiple mechanisms,similar to natural platelets. Moreover, FK506, a model drug, was loaded into thePNPs and used to treat RA. Pharmacodynamic studies demonstrated that theFK506-PNPs had a notable anti-arthritic effect in CIA mice. 4Research progresses on Cherenkov and transit-time high-power microwave sources at NUDT显示文摘Research progresses on Cherenkov and transit-time high-power microwave(HPM)sources in National University of Defense Technology(NUDT)of China are presented.The research issues are focused on the following aspects.The pulse-shortening phenomenon in O-type Cerenkov HPM devices is suppressed.The compact coaxial relativistic backward-wave oscillators(RBWOs)at low bands are developed.The power efficiency in M-Type HPM tubes without guiding magnetic field increased.The power capacities and power efficiencies in the triaxial klystron amplifier(TKA)and relativistic transit-time oscillator(TTO)at higher frequencies increased.In experiments,some exciting results were obtained.The X-band source generated 2 GW microwave power with a pulse duration of 110 ns in 30 Hz repetition mode.Both L-and P-band compact RBWOs generated over 2 GW microwave power with a power efficiency of over 30%.There is approximately a 75% decline of the volume compared with that of conventional RBWO under the same power capacity conditions.A 1.755 GHz MILO produced 3.1 GW microwave power with power efficiency of 10.4%.A 9.37 GHz TKA produced the 240 MW microwave power with the gain of 34 dB.A 14.3 GHz TTO produced 1 GW microwave power with power efficiency of 20%.Jiande Zhang Xingjun Ge Jun Zhang Juntao He Yuwei Fan Zhiqiang Li Zhenxing Jin Liang Gao Junpu Ling Zumin Qi 2016Matter and Radiation at Extremes2016,1,3:7

10Clinical characteristics and risk factors for mortality in cancer patients with COVID-19显示文摘Patients with cancer are at increased risk of severe infections.From a cohort including 3060 patients with confirmed COVID-19,109(3.4%)cancer patients were included in this study.Among them,23(21.1%)patients died in the hospital.Cancer patients,especially those with hematological malignancies(41.6%),urinary carcinoma(35.7%),malignancies of the digestive system(33.3%),gynecological malignancies(20%),and lung cancer(14.3%),had a much higher mortality than patients without cancer.A total of 19(17.4%)cancer patients were infected in the hospital.The clinical characteristics of deceased cancer patients were compared with those of recovered cancer patients.Multivariate Cox regression analysis indicated that a Nutritional Risk Screening(NRS2002)score≥3(adjusted hazard ratio(HR)11.00;95%confidence interval(CI)4.60–26.32;P<0.001),high-risk type(adjusted HR 18.81;95%CI 4.21–83.93;P<0.001),tumor stage IV(adjusted HR 4.26;95%CI 2.34–7.75;P<0.001),and recent adjuvant therapy(<1 month)(adjusted HR 3.16;95%CI 1.75–5.70;P<0.01)were independent risk factors for in-hospital death after adjusting for age,comorbidities,D-dimer,and lymphocyte count.In conclusion,cancer patients showed a higher risk of COVID-19 infection with a poorer prognosis than patients without cancer.Cancer patients with high-risk tumor,NRS2002 score≥3,advanced tumor stage,and recent adjuvant therapy(<1 month)may have high risk of mortality.Junnan Liang Guannan Jin Tongtong Liu Jingyuan Wen Ganxun Li Lin Chen Wei Wang Yuwei Wang Wei Liao Jia Song Zeyang Ding Xiao-ping Chen Bixiang Zhang 2021Frontiers of Medicine2021,15,2:2

16Anaerobic digestion of sludge by different pretreatments:Changes of amino acids and microbial community显示文摘Many studies have investigated the effects of different pretreatments on the performance of anaerobic digestion of sludge.However,the detailed changes of dissolved organic nitrogen,particularly the release behavior of proteins and the byproducts of protein hydrolysis-amino acids,are rarely known during anaerobic digestion of sludge by different pretreatments.Here we quantified the changes of three types of proteins and 17 types of amino acids in sludge samples solubilized by ultrasonic,thermal,and acid/alkaline pretreatments and their transformation during anaerobic digestion of sludge.Tryptophan protein,aromatic protein I,aromatic protein II,and cysteine were identified as the key dissolved organic nitrogen responsible for methane production during anaerobic digestion of sludge,regardless of the different pretreatment methods.Different from the depletion of other amino acids,cysteine was resistant to degradation after an incubation period of 30 days in all sludge samples.Meanwhile,the“cysteine and methionine metabolism(K00270)”was absent in all sludge samples by identifying 6755 Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes assignments of genes hits.Cysteine contributed to the generation of methane and the degradation of acetic,propionic,and n-butyric acids through decreasing oxidation-reduction potential and enhancing biomass activity.This study provided an alternative strategy to enhance anaerobic digestion of sludge through in situ production of cysteine.Keke Xiao Zecong Yu Kangyue Pei Mei Sun Yuwei Zhu Sha Liang Huijie Hou Bingchuan Liu Jingping Hu Jiakuan Yang 2022Frontiers of Environmental Science & Engineering2022,16,2:1

19Electrochemomechanical performance of porous electrode incorporating binder network显示文摘This paper proposes a theory for the random generation of porous electrodes to study the electrochemomechanical performance of Li-ion batteries. A new model is developed to explore the effects of the binder network and size polydispersity of electrode particles on the mechanical states under galvanostatic and potentiostatic charging. The quantity of binder, connecting position,contact area, and the angle between the binder and electrode particles exert considerable influence on the electrochemomechanical state of the electrode. Debonding at the interface between the binder and electrode particles is highly likely to occur under galvanostatic charging. Under potentiostatic charging, hoop stress experiences complex compressive-tensile conversion along the interface, which is prone to induce wrinkling and failure of the binder. 20METTL3-mediated m^(6)A modification of HMGA2 mRNA promotes subretinal fibrosis and epithelial-mesenchymal transition显示文摘Subretinal fibrosis is a major cause of the poor visual prognosis for patients with neovascular age-related macular degeneration(nAMD).Myofibroblasts originated from retinal pigment epithelial(RPE)cells through epithelial-mesenchymal transition(EMT)contribute to the fibrosis formation.N^(6)-Methyladenosine(m^(6)A)modification has been implicated in the EMT process and multiple fibrotic diseases.The role of m^(6)A modification in EMT-related subretinal fibrosis has not yet been elucidated.In this study,we found that during subretinal fibrosis in the mouse model of laser-induced choroidal neovascularization,METTL3 was upregulated in RPE cells.Through m^(6)A epitranscriptomic microarray and further verification,high-mobility group AT-hook 2(HMGA2)was identified as thekey downstream target of METTL3,subsequently activating potent EMT-inducing transcription factor SNAIL.Finally,by subretinal injections of adeno-associated virus vectors,we confirmed that METTL3 deficiency in RPE cells could efficiently attenuate subretinal fibrosis in vivo.In conclusion,our present research identified an epigenetic mechanism of METTL3-m^(6)A-HMGA2 in subretinal fibrosis and EMT of RPE cells,providing a novel therapeutic target for subretinal fibrosis secondary to nAMD.Yuwei Wang Yuhong Chen Jian Liang Mei Jiang Ting Zhang Xiaoling Wan Jiahui Wu Xiaomeng Li Jieqiong Chen Junran Sun Yifan Hu Peirong Huang Jingyang Feng Te Liu Xiaodong Sun 2023Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2023,15,3:1
