HZSM-5, HY, HMOR and Hβ zeolites were selected as model catalysts for the hydrolysis of cellobiose. The effect of acidity of zeolite, including the strength, type and location, on its catalytic activity was investigated. The strong Br?nsted acid sites located in micropores are the active sites for the hydrolysis of cellobiose to glucose. | 13 | Massive and parallel 10 Tbit/s physical random bit generation with chaotic microcomb显示文摘Ultrafast physical random bit(PRB)generators and integrated schemes have proven to be valuable in a broad range of scientifc and technological applications.In this study,we experimentally demonstrated a PRB scheme with a chaotic microcomb using a chip-scale integrated resonator.A microcomb contained hundreds of chaotic channels,and each comb tooth functioned as an entropy source for the PRB.First,a 12 Gbits/s PRB signal was obtained for each tooth channel with proper post-processing and passed the NIST Special Publication 800-22 statistical tests.The chaotic microcomb covered a wavelength range from 1430 to 1675 nm with a free spectral range(FSR)of 100 GHz.Consequently,the combined random bit sequence could achieve an ultra-high rate of about 4 Tbits/s(12 Gbits/s×294=3.528 Tbits/s),with 294 teeth in the experimental microcomb.Additionally,denser microcombs were experimentally realized using an integrated resonator with 33.6 GHz FSR.A total of 805 chaotic comb teeth were observed and covered the wavelength range from 1430 to 1670 nm.In each tooth channel,12 Gbits/s random sequences was generated,which passed the NIST test.Consequently,the total rate of the PRB was approximately 10 Tbits/s(12 Gbits/s×805=9.66 Tbits/s).These results could ofer potential chip solutions of Pbits/s PRB with the features of low cost and a high degree of parallelism. | Yuqi Hu Qingsong Bai Xi Tang Wei Xiong Yilu Wu Xin Zhang Yanlan Xiao Runchang Du Leiji Liu Guangqiong Xia Zhengmao Wu Junbo Yang Heng Zhou Jiagui Wu | 2023 | Frontiers of Optoelectronics2023,16,3: | 0 |
| 14 | Constant-level spatio-temporal integrated search algorithm for repeating sun-synchronous orbit satellite images显示文摘Metadata information and catalogue services are major ways of making satellite images findable and accessible.Spatio-temporal indexing is the key to ensuring efficient searches.Because spatial information and temporal information are usually independently maintained and indexed,the image retrieval process has to include two search steps:a spatial query and a temporal query.As most Earth Observation satellites are specially designed to have repeating sun-synchronous orbits(RSSO),this type of satellite data has a close correlation between its spatial coverage and temporal coverage information.In this paper,an integrated spatiotemporal indexing mechanism is proposed for RSSO satellites.The spatio-temporal Look-Up Table(st-LUT)that serves as the index reflects the coupled correlation between the spatial and temporal coverage information within one orbit revisiting cycle.Image retrieval algorithms are designed based on the st-LUT.In this study,1,765,797 Landsat 8 scenes collected from 28 June 2013 to 31 December 2019 data are used to establish and validate the proposed indexing mechanism and search algorithms.Because this new method only need to focus on the changes of the spatial and temporal coverage over the time in one orbit revisiting cycle,the spatial search space is limited to the fixed number of grids.Therefore,the search algorithm is at a constant level.Its performance is not related to the volume of the images that need to search. | Yuqi Bai Meng Jin | 2021 | International Journal of Digital Earth2021,14,8: | 0 |
| 15 | Catalytic performance of perovskite-like oxide doped cerium(La_(2-x)Ce_xCoO_(4±y)) as catalysts for dry reforming of methane显示文摘A series of oxides(La_(2-x)Ce_xCoO_(4±y)) with perovskite-like structure were prepared by the Pechini sol–gel method for dry reforming of methane reaction(DRM). The prepared catalysts were characterized by BET, XRD,TGA, H_2-TPR and SEM. Experimental results indicate that the addition of Ce can impact both sample morphology and catalytic performance significantly compared with La_2CoO_4 catalyst, and LaCeCoO_4 presented the highest catalytic ability among all the samples. The Ce addition tends to increase the specific surface area of La_(2-x)Ce_xCoO_(4±y)from 0.2 to 8.5 m^2·g^(-1), suggesting that LaCeCoO_4 catalyst contained more well-dispersed active sites and more space to reaction. | 16 | A traceability analysis system for model evaluation on land carbon dynamics: design and applications显示文摘Background:An increasing number of ecological processes have been incorporated into Earth system models.However,model evaluations usually lag behind the fast development of models,leading to a pervasive simulation uncertainty in key ecological processes,especially the terrestrial carbon(C)cycle.Traceability analysis provides a theoretical basis for tracking and quantifying the structural uncertainty of simulated C storage in models.Thus,a new tool of model evaluation based on the traceability analysis is urgently needed to efficiently diagnose the sources of inter-model variations on the terrestrial C cycle in Earth system models.Methods:A new cloud-based model evaluation platform,i.e.,the online traceability analysis system for model evaluation(TraceME v1.0),was established.The TraceME was applied to analyze the uncertainties of seven models from the Coupled Model Intercomparison Project(CMIP6).Results:The TraceME can effectively diagnose the key sources of different land C dynamics among CMIIP6 models.For example,the analyses based on TraceME showed that the estimation of global land C storage varied about 2.4 folds across the seven CMIP6 models.Among all models,IPSL-CM6A-LR simulated the lowest land C storage,which mainly resulted from its shortest baseline C residence time.Over the historical period of 1850–2014,gross primary productivity and baseline C residence time were the major uncertainty contributors to the inter-model variation in ecosystem C storage in most land grid cells.Conclusion:TraceME can facilitate model evaluation by identifying sources of model uncertainty and provides a new tool for the next generation of model evaluation. | Jian Zhou Jianyang Xia Ning Wei Yufu Liu Chenyu Bian Yuqi Bai Yiqi Luo | 2021 | Ecological Processes2021,10,1: | 0 |
| 17 | Using a skillful statistical model to predict September sea ice covering Arctic shipping routes显示文摘The rapid decrease in Arctic sea ice cover and thickness not only has a linkage with extreme weather in the midlatitudes but also brings more opportunities for Arctic shipping routes and polar resource exploration,both of which motivate us to further understand causes of sea-ice variations and to obtain more accurate estimates of seaice cover in the future.Here,a novel data-driven method,the causal effect networks algorithm,is applied to identify the direct precursors of September sea-ice extent covering the Northern Sea Route and Transpolar Sea Route at different lead times so that statistical models can be constructed for sea-ice prediction.The whole study area was also divided into two parts:the northern region covered by multiyear ice and the southern region covered by seasonal ice.The forecast models of September sea-ice extent in the whole study area(TSIE)and southern region(SSIE)at lead times of 1–4 months can explain over 65%and 79%of the variances,respectively,but the forecast skill of sea-ice extent in the northern region(NSIE)is limited at a lead time of 1 month.At lead times of 1–4 months,local sea-ice concentration and sea-ice thickness have a larger influence on September TSIE and SSIE than other teleconnection factors.When the lead time is more than 4 months,the surface meridional wind anomaly from northern Europe in the preceding autumn or early winter is dominant for September TSIE variations but is comparable to thermodynamic factors for NSIE and SSIE.We suggest that this study provides a complementary approach for predicting regional sea ice and is helpful in evaluating and improving climate models. | Sha Li Muyin Wang Wenyu Huang Shiming Xu Bin Wang Yuqi Bai | 2020 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2020,39,5: | 0 |
| 18 | An earth observation potential evaluation model and its application to SDG indicators显示文摘Thousands of satellites and instruments are providing very unique long-term,refined,and diverse perception capabilities for the states and changes of the Earth's surface environment.When leveraging Earth Observation(EO)techniques in SDG monitoring in specific regions,an important prerequisite is to evaluate whether EO could meet user requirements in terms of spatial coverage,temporal frequency and observing variables or objects.It is highly expected to have a quantitative model that can not only represent EO capabilities and observation requirements but also evaluate the potential of EO capability to fulfil these requirements.This paper first describes EO capabilities from the satellite's orbit,operation time,spatial resolution,revisit cycle,accessibility and observation relevance level to variables.Observation requirements and priorities are then derived from SDG indicators.Finally,the potential model is established to match EO capabilities and user requirements.Taking SDG 14.1.1 as an example,this model is capable of returning an ordered list of satellites and instruments for users to refer to.This model meets the gap of evaluating EO potential to fulfil SDG monitoring.It could make full use of the available EO capabilities worldwide to meet SDG indicator monitoring requirements. | Meng Jin Ming Lin Yufu Liu Yuqi Bai | 2022 | International Journal of Digital Earth2022,15,1: | 0 |
