1Effects of dry fog humidification on pericarp browning and quality of litchi fruit stored at low temperature显示文摘Pericarp browning is the major cause of deterioration of harvested litchi fruit.Water loss plays a role in pericarp browning of litchi fruit.This study investigated the effects of humidification with dry fog on pericarp browning and quality of litchi fruit stored at low temperature.Litchi fruit were stored in a non-humidified cold chamber(control)or in a humidified cold room using Tabor atomizer system that generated 95%relative humidity(RH)without depositing water on the fruit surface at 4℃.Control fruit stored in cold room without added humidity underwent rapid weight loss,accompanied by severe pericarp browning after 25 d of storage.However,slight weight loss and no obvious pericarp browning were found in humidified-fruit.Moreover,humidification maintained well the integrity of cell membrane and inhibited polyphenol oxidase activity during early storage.In addition,respiration rate was obviously inhibited in humidified-fruit compared with control fruit.This study might provide a convenient approach to reduce pericarp browning of harvested litchi fruit by humidifying the fruit using the Tabor atomizer at low temperature instead of packaging with film.Lu Xiao Taotao Li Guoxiang Jiang Afiya John Dandan Zhang Wenyuan Jin Xuewu Duan Yueming Jiang 2019International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2019,12,4:2
2Alternative splicing of MaMYB16L regulates starch degradation in banana fruit during ripening显示文摘The alternative splicing of select genes is an important mechanism to regulate responses to endogenous and environmental signals in plants.However,the role of alternative splicing in regulating fruit ripening remains unclear.Here,we discovered that MaMYB16L,an R1-type MYB transcription factor,undergoes alternative splicing and generates two transcripts,the full-length isoform MaMYB16L and a truncated form MaMYB16S,in banana fruit.During banana fruit ripening,the alternative splicing process intensifies with downregulated MaMYB16L and upregulated MaMYB16S.Moreover,MaMYB16L is a transcriptional repressor that directly binds with the promoters of many genes associated with starch degradation and MaDREB2,a positive ripening regulator,and represses their expression.In contrast,MaMBY16S lacks a DNA-binding domain but competitively combines and forms non-functional heterodimers with functional MaMYB16L.MaMYB16L-MaMYB16S heterodimers decrease the binding capacity and transrepression activity of MaMYB16L.The downregulation of MaMYB16L and the upregulation of MaMYB16S,that is,a decreased ratio of active to non-active isoforms,facilitates the activation of ripening-related genes and thereby promotes fruit ripening.Furthermore,the transient overexpression of MaMYB16S promotes banana fruit ripening,whereas the overexpression of MaMYB16L delays this process.Therefore,the alternative splicing of MaMYB16L might generate a self-controlled regulatory loop to regulate banana fruit ripening.Guoxiang Jiang Dandan Zhang Zhiwei Li Hanzhi Liang Rufang Deng Xinguo Su Yueming Jiang Xuewu Duan 2021Journal of Integrative Plant Biology2021,63,7:2

7Expression and regulation of genes involved in the reserve starch biosynthesis pathway in hexaploid wheat (Triticum aestivum L.)显示文摘Reserve starch of cereal crop accounts for about 70%of grain endosperm and acts as an important human carbohydrate resource worldwide.Wheat reserve starch is synthesized by enzymatic machinery in endosperm cells.To identify genes involved in starch biosynthesis,we constructed 30 RNA-Seq libraries of 10 endosperm-development periods and performed expression and localization analyses.Of 166 endosperm-expressed homologs of starch biosynthesis-related genes,74 showed expression correlated with reserve starch accumulation,including 26 with expected subcellular distribution and higher expression than their isoforms.The key proteins SUS3,UGP1,cAGPase,and Bt1-3 formed the main metabolic pathway and contributed the major substrates for starch processing in amyloplasts.Important isoforms,key pathway proteins,and the main carbon flux toward starch formation in the reserve starch biosynthesis pathway were identified.Based on a coexpression analysis,a library of 425 transcription factors was produced to screen for common regulators.TaMYB44 had features of transcription factors and bound to TaSUT1,TaSSIIIa,TaBEIIa,TaISA1,and TaBEIIb promoters in yeast,suggesting that the gene is a pathway regulator.This study sheds light on understanding the mechanism of reserve starch biosynthesis and will be helpful for increasing starch content in wheat endosperm via biotechnological strategies.Yunsong Gu Shichen Han Lin Chen Junyi Mu Luning Duan Yaxuan Li Yueming Yan Xiaohui Li 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,2:1

10Gas accumulation conditions and key technologies for exploration & development of Sinian and Cambrian gas reservoirs in Anyue gasfield显示文摘Exploration of the Sinian-Lower Paleozoic formations in the Sichuan Basin starts from the 1950s,and is tortuous and complex.To summarize the exploration experiences is of great significance of reference for exploration of oil and gas in deep carbonate rocks of the Sichuan Basin.Gas accumulation in the Anyue oversize gasfield is chiefly controlled by the Deyang-Anyue intra-platform rift and central Sichuan paleouplift.The intra-platform rift controls the scale hydrocarbon generation center and effective hydrocarbon plays.The Anyue gasfield is characterized by near-source hydrocarbon accumulation.The marginal zone of intra-platform rift and high part of the paleouplift control the scale distribution of favorable facies belts of reservoir development,and overlapped by paleokarstic reformation,the reservoirs are widely distributed.The intra-platform rift and paleouplift jointly control formation of the scale traps and hydrocarbon enrichment.Gas reservoir features and major controlling factors for hydrocarbon accumulation have some differences in the main play strata,such as Longwangmiao Formation,and Member 4 and Member 2 of Dengying Formation.The gas reservoir in the Longwangmiao Formation is a lithologic gas reservoir under the tectonic setting,and the inherited paleouplift is a key for reservoir formation and hydrocarbon accumulation.The gas reservoir in the Member 4 of Dengying Formation is mainly controlled by large structural-stratigraphic composite traps,and the gas reservoir in the Member 2 of Dengying Formation is the structural trap.Distribution of the large gasfields in the Dengying Formation is controlled by the intra-platform rift,near-source hydrocarbon-reservoir configuration controlled by the ancient erosion plane and stratigraphic sealing in the updip direction.For exploration and development of the Anyue gasfield,four series of technologies are developed,namely,reservoir seismic fine description technology,well logging fine evaluation technology of gas layers,fast drilling technology of complex strata,and stimulation technology for high temperature and high pressure gas layers.Technical progresses provide powerful guarantee for efficient exploration and development of the oversize gasfields.Yueming Yang Yu Yang Guang Yang Jiarong Song LongWen Chuanguang Deng Maolong Xia Qi Ran Guobin Duan Bing Luo Bing Xie 2018Petroleum Research2018,3,3:1

16Monitoring behavior of poultry based on RFID radio frequency network显示文摘Poultry behavior monitoring is an important basis for the poultry disease warning.Manual monitoring is mostly used nowadays.In this work,the automatic monitoring system for assisting manual monitoring was examined.Sophisticated data mining techniques were used to leverage the data collected by RFID devices.Specifically,(1)weighing sensors and wireless networks of Multiple RFID-tag-collector groups were used to monitor the poultry behavior;(2)RFID tags were putted on individual poultry so that the moving time of the poultry between two RFID-tag-collectors could be recorded.Thus,the characteristic functions of poultry behaviors such as speed,ability to snatch food and resting time could be extracted based on the distance between two RFID-tag-collectors and the relevant time parameters;(3)the sick,normal,active and other poultry groups were categorized by using the K-means method which utilizing the behavior characteristics and poultry weight data in data mining.The results demonstrated that accurate classifications could be obtained according to the poultry characteristics,and the clustering results matched with the results obtained by manual method to identify the poultry groups.Consequently,the technique in this paper has great potential for large-scale poultry disease warning and poultry classification.Zhang Feiyang Hu Yueming Chen Liancheng Guo Lihong Duan Wenjie Wang Lu 2016International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2016,9,6:1

20A comparison study on structure-function relationship of polysaccharides obtained from sea buckthorn berries using different methods:antioxidant and bile acid-binding capacity显示文摘In this study,the structural characters,antioxidant activities and bile acid-binding ability of sea buckthorn polysaccharides(HRPs)obtained by the commonly used hot water(HRP-W),pressurized hot water(HRP-H),ultrasonic(HRP-U),acid(HRP-C)and alkali(HRP-A)assisted extraction methods were investigated.The results demonstrated that extraction methods had significant effects on extraction yield,monosaccharide composition,molecular weight,particle size,triple-helical structure,and surface morphology of HRPs except for the major linkage bands.Thermogravimetric analysis showed that HRP-U with filamentous reticular microstructure exhibited better thermal stability.The HRP-A with the lowest molecular weight and highest arabinose content possessed the best antioxidant activities.Moreover,the rheological analysis indicated that HRPs with higher galacturonic acid content and molecular weight showed higher viscosity and stronger crosslinking network(HRP-C,HRP-W and HRP-U),which exhibited stronger bile acid binding capacity.The present findings provide scientific evidence in the preparation technology of sea buckthorn polysaccharides with good antioxidant and bile acid binding capacity which are related to the structure affected by the extraction methods.Qiaoyun Li Zuman Dou Qingfei Duan Chun Chen Ruihai Liu Yueming Jiang Bao Yang Xiong Fu 2024Food Science and Human Wellness2024,13,1:0
