| 1 | Active dry yeast supplementation improves the growth performance,rumen fermentation, and immune response of weaned beef calves显示文摘The objective of this experiment was to investigate the potential benefits of active dry yeast(ADY)on the growth performance,rumen fermentation,nutrient digestibility,and serum parameters of weaned beef calves.Thirty Simmental crossbred male calves(body weight=86.47±4.41 kg and 70±4 d of age)were randomly divided into 2 groups:control(CON)(fed basal ration)and ADY(fed basal ration and 5 g/d ADY per calf).The dietary concentrate-to-roughage ratio was 35:65.All the calves were regularly provided rations 3 times a day at 07:00,13:00,and 19:00 and had free access to wate r.The experiment lasted for 60 d.The average daily gain of ADY group was higher(P=0.007)than that of the CON group,and the ratio of feed intake to average daily gain in the ADY group was reduced(P=0.022)as compared to the CON group.The concentration of ruminal ammonia-N was higher(P=0.023)in the CON group than that in the ADY group,but an opposite trend of microbial protein was found between the 2 groups.Also,the ruminal concentrations of propionate and butyrate were higher(P<0.05)in the ADY group than those in the CON group.Calves fed ADY exhibited higher(P<0.05)crude protein and neutral detergent fiber digestibility.Supplementation of ADY increased(P<0.05)the contents of glucose,glutathione peroxidase,superoxide dismutase,immunoglobulin A,immunoglobulin M,and interleukin 10 in the serum of calves,but an opposite trend was observed in malondialdehyde,interleukin 1 beta,and tumor necrosis factor alpha contents between the 2 groups.In conclusion,dietary supplementation with ADY could improve the growth performance,rumen fermentation,nutrient digestibility,antioxidant ability,and immune response of weaned beef calves. | Jian Ma Cheng Wang Zhisheng Wang Guang Cao Rui Hu Xueying Wang Huawei Zou Kun Kang Quanhui Peng Bai Xue Lizhi Wang Yueming Zhu Xiaopeng Zhu | 2021 | Animal Nutrition2021,,4: | 7 |

| 10 | Optically-generated focused ultrasound for noninvasive brain stimulation with ultrahigh precision显示文摘High precision neuromodulation is a powerful tool to decipher neurocircuits and treat neurological diseases.Current non-invasive neuromodulation methods offer limited precision at the milimeter level.Here,we report opticallygenerated focused ultrasound(OFUS)for non-invasive brain stimulation with ultrahigh precision.OFUS is generated by a soft optoacoustic pad(SOAP)fabricated through embedding candle soot nanoparticles in a curved polydimethylsiloxane film.SOAP generates a transcranial ultrasound focus at 15 MHz with an ultrahigh lateral resolution of 83μm,which is two orders of magnitude smaller than that of conventional transcranial-focused ultrasound(tFUS).Here,we show effective OFUS neurostimulation in vitro with a single ultrasound cycle.We demonstrate submillimeter transcranial stimulation of the mouse motor cortex in vivo.An acoustic energy of 0.6 mJ/cm?,four orders of magnitude less than that of tFUS,is suffcient for successful OFUS neurostimulation.OFUS offers new capabilities for neuroscience studies and disease treatments by delivering a focus with ultrahigh precision noninvasively. | Yueming Li Ying Jiang Lu Lan Xiaowei Ge Ran Cheng Yuewei Zhan Guo Chen Linli Shi Runyu Wang Nan Zheng Chen Yang Ji-Xin Cheng | 2022 | Light(Science & Applications)2022,11,11: | 1 |

| 15 | Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene wrapped,carbon-coated porous Si sheets for improved lithium storage performance显示文摘Si-based materials have shown great potential as lithium-ion batteries(LIBs)anodes due to their natural reserves and high theoretical capacity.However,the large volume changes during cycles and poor conductivity of Si lead to rapid capacity decay and poor cycling stability,ultimately limiting their commercial applications.Herein,we have skillfully utilized the microporous MCM-22 zeolite as the unique silicon source to produce porous Si(pSi)sheets by a simple magnesiothermic reduction,followed by a carbon coating and further Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene assembly,obtaining the ternary pSi@NC@TNSs composite.In the design,porous Si sheets provide more active sites and shorten Li-ion transport paths for electrochemical reactions.The N-doped carbon(NC)layer serves as a bonding layer to couple pSi and Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x).The conductive network formed by 2D Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)and medium NC layer effectively enhances the overall charge transport of the electrode material,and helps to stabilize the electrode structure.Therefore,the as-made pSi@NC@TNSs anode delivers an improved lithium storage performance,exhibiting a high reversible capacity of 925 mAh/g at 0.5 A/g after 100 cycles.This present strategy provides an effective way towards high-performance Si-based anodes for LIBs. | Hui Cheng Yueming Liu Zhongling Cheng Xianying Wang Na Huang Haijiao Zhang | 2024 | Chinese Chemical Letters2024,35,2: | 0 |
| 16 | The Application of Similarity Theory in Designing Large Deflection Buckling Spring-Piece显示文摘Large Deflection Buckling Spring-Piece (LDBSP) refers to the deformation of an end-fixed flat spring-piece under normal loadings. Plastic deformation usually appears in LDBSP.The static characteristic curve is very particular, because within its linear deflection region, the spring constant can be designed to be any value from minus to plus. With its obvious advantages of large liner deflection range, low spring constant, etc., the LDBSP has now been extensively applied to the exciting device, low-frequency shock absorbers and so on. The static characteristic curve of LDBSP belongs to the nonlinear problem of an arch with varying section. Therefore, it is difficult to obtain it theoretically. The formulae for designing LDBSP have not been set up yet. In this study,the authors apply similarity theory to analyze the liner deflection range A and the spring constant K, and derive the relationship of similarity criterion, finally obtain a set of formulae for designing LDBSP by model test and the least square method, which can be applied in engineering design.Through the research, it is proved that it is unnecessary to keep geometrical similarity of spring-piece shape. This fact extends the application scope of the formulae.
