1Changes in terrestrial surface dry and wet conditions on the Loess Plateau(China) during the last half century显示文摘This paper,using a revised Penman-Monteith model,computed the terrestrial surface humidity index of the Loess Plateau(China) based on climatic factors of monthly mean temperature,maximum temperature,minimum temperature,relative humidity,precipitation,wind speed and sunshine duration observed on the plateau from 1961 to 2008.The temporal-spatial distribution,anomaly distribution and sub-regional temporal variations of the terrestrial surface dry and wet conditions were analyzed as well.The results showed a decreasing trend in the annual average surface humidity from the southeast to the northwest in the research area.Over the period of 1961-2008,an aridification tendency appeared sharply in the central interior region of the Loess Plateau,and less sharply in the middle part of the region.The border region showed the weakest tendency of aridification.It is clear that aridification diffused in all directions from the interior region.The spatial anomaly distribution of the terrestrial surface dry and wet conditions on the Loess Plateau can be divided into three key areas:the southern,western and eastern regions.The terrestrial annual humidity index displayed a significantly descending trend and showed remarkable abrupt changes from wet to dry in the years 1967,1977 and 1979.In the above mentioned three key areas for dry and wet conditions,the terrestrial annual humidity index exhibited a fluctuation period of 3-4 years,while in the southern region,a fluctuation period of 7-8 years existed at the same time.YuBi YAO RunYuan WANG JinHu YANG Ping YUE DengRong LU Guo,Ju XIAO Yang WANG LinChun LIU 2013Journal of Arid Land2013,5,1:14
2Causes and Changes of Drought in China:Research Progress and Prospects显示文摘Drought is one of the most serious and extensive natural hazards in the world.Subject to monsoon climate variability,China is particularly influenced by drought hazards,especially meteorological drought.Based on a comprehensive understanding of the current status of international drought research,this paper systematically reviews the history and achievements of drought research in China since the founding of the People’s Republic of China,from four main perspectives:characteristics and spatiotemporal distribution of historical and recent drought events,drought formation mechanism and change trend,drought hazard risk,and the particular flash drought.The progress and problems of drought research in China are analyzed and future prospects are proposed,with emphasis on the multi-factor synergetic effect for drought formation;the effect of land-atmosphere interaction;identification,monitoring,and prediction of flash drought;categorization of drought and characteristics among various types of drought;the agricultural drought development;drought response to climate warming;and assessment of drought hazard risks.It is suggested that strengthening scientific experimental research on drought in China is imperative.The present review is conducive to strategic planning of drought research and application,and may facilitate further development of drought research in China.Qiang ZHANG Yubi YAO Yaohui LI Jianping HUANG Zhuguo MA Zhilan WANG Suping WANG Ying WANG Yu ZHANG 2020Journal of Meteorological Research2020,34,3:8

4Transcription factor ZmNAC126 plays an important role in transcriptional regulation of maize starch synthesis-related genes显示文摘Maize(Zea mays L.)is one of the most important food crops in the world,and starch is the main component of its endosperm.Transcriptional regulation plays a vital role in starch biosynthesis.However,it is not well understood in maize.We report the identification of the transcription factor ZmNAC126 and its role in regulation of starch synthesis in maize.Transcriptional expression of ZmNAC126 was higher in maize endosperm and kernels than in roots or stems.ZmNAC126 shared a similar expression pattern with starch synthesis genes during seed development,and its expression pattern was also consistent with the accumulation of starch.ZmNAC126 is a typical transcription factor with a transactivation domain between positions 201 and 227 of the amino acid sequence,is located in the nucleus,and binds to CACG repeats in vitro.Yeast one-hybrid assay revealed that ZmNAC126 bound the promoters of ZmGBSSI,ZmSSIIa,ZmSSIV,ZmISA1,and ZmISA2.Transient overexpression of ZmNAC126 in maize endosperm increased the activities of promoters pZmSh2,pZmBt2,pZmGBSSI,pZmSSIIIa,and pZmBT1 but inhibited the activities of pZmISA1 and pZmISA2.ZmNAC126 thus acts in starch synthesis by transcriptionally regulating targeted starch synthesis-related genes in maize kernels.Qianlin Xiao Yayun Wang Hui Li Chunxia Zhang Bin Wei Yongbin Wang Huanhuan Huang Yangping Li Guowu Yu Hanmei Liu Junjie Zhang Yinghong Liu Yufeng Hu Yubi Huang 2021The Crop Journal2021,9,1:5
5Change in Urban Wetlands and Their Cold Island Effects in Response to Rapid Urbanization显示文摘The cold-island effect of urban wetlands has received increasing attention in recent years due to its important role in the alleviation of urban heat islands.Hangzhou,a representative rapidly urbanizing city with rich wetlands in China,was selected as a case study for researching the changes that the urban wetlands have undergone and their impact on the urban thermal environment.Land surface temperature(LST) was acquired from the thermal infrared data of Landsat 5 Thematic Mapper(TM) images in 1990,1995,2000,2006,and 2010,using the single-channel method.The results are as follows:1) considering the changes in land use,the urban wetlands located to the west of Hangzhou have decreased significantly during 1990–2010 because of rapid urbanization.In the Xixi Wetland,the change in land use was relatively small and most of the water body and vegetation were preserved.However,to the east of the Xixi Wetland,large areas of water body and vegetation have been replaced by built-up land as a result of the urbanization process;2) considering the change in LST,it was found from land surface temperature retrieval that the changing spatial pattern of the thermal field was highly correlated with land use changes.Low temperature regions of the eastern Xixi Wetland were gradually eroded by high temperature regions,and the centroid of the heat island in East Xixi was found to be constantly shifting westward.In addition,the difference in LST between the Xixi Wetland and East Xixi has increased;3) considering the impact factors for this area,land use structure and patch shape were found to have a significant impact on LST,shown by the results of multiple linear stepwise regressions.Increasing the size of the wetlands in urban planning is considered to be the most effective measure in alleviating the urban heat island effect.Moreover,reducing the spatial complexity of landscape patches also contributes to the alleviation of the urban heat island effect.ZHANG Wei JIANG Jingang ZHU Yubi 2015Chinese Geographical Science2015,25,4:5

16Assessment of pressure drop in conical spouted beds of biomass by artificial neural networks and comparison with empirical correlations显示文摘Pressure drop is an essential parameter in the operation of conical spouted beds(CSB)and depends on its geometric factors and materials used.Irregular materials,like biomass,are complex to treat and,unlike other gas–solid contact methods,CSB turn out to be a suitable technology for their treatment.Artificial neural networks were used in this study for the prediction of operating and peak pressure drops,and their performance has been compared with that of empirical correlations reported in the literature.Accordingly,a multi-layer perceptron network with backward propagation was used due to its ability to model non-linear multivariate systems.The fitting of the experimental data of both operating and peak pressure drop was significantly better than those reported in the literature,specifically in the case of the peak pressure drop,with R^(2) being 0.92.Therefore,artificial neural networks have been proven suitable for the prediction of pressure drop in CSB.Juan F.Saldarriag Yuby Cruz Idoi Estiati Mikel Tellabide Martin Olazar 2022Particuology2022,,11:0
17Improving Intergranular Corrosion Resistance in Inconel 625 via Grain Boundary Character Distribution Optimization显示文摘The feasibility of applying the grain boundary character distribution(GBCD)optimization to Inconel 625 for improving the intergranular corrosion(IGC)resistance was studied.The GBCD was obtained and characterized by electron backscatter diffraction(EBSD)analysis,and its optimization was mainly attributed to annealing twins(Σ3)and twins related to boundaries formed during thermal-mechanical processing(TMP).Through TMP of 5%cold rolling and subsequent annealing at 1150℃for 5 min,the proportion of lowΣcoincidence site lattice(CSL)grain boundaries of the Inconel 625 can be enhanced to about 35.8%which mainly were ofΣ3^(n)(n=1,2,3)type.There is an increase of 24.8%compared with the solution-treated sample,and simultaneously the large-size highly-twinned grain-cluster microstructure is formed.The grain-cluster is mainly composed ofΣ3-Σ3-Σ9 orΣ3-Σ9-Σ27 triple junctions,which is mainly caused by boundary reactions during grain growth.Among them,the IGC resistance ofΣ3 grain boundaries,Σ9 grain boundaries and random grain boundaries is sequentially weakened.With the increase of the lowΣCSL grain boundary fraction,the IGC resistance of Inconel 625 improves.The essential reason is the amount ofΣ3 boundaries interrupting the random boundary network increases and the large grain-cluster arrests the penetration of IGC.马元俊 WANG Jingjie GAO Yubi WANG Xingmao CHEN Jianjun 丁雨田 2021Journal of Wuhan University of Technology(Materials Science)2021,36,6:0
18Reactivation of PPARαalleviates myocardial lipid accumulation and cardiac dysfunction by improving fatty acidβ-oxidation in Dsg2-deficient arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy显示文摘Arrhythmogenic cardiomyopathy(ACM),a fatal heart disease characterized by fibroadipocytic replacement of cardiac myocytes,accounts for 20%of sudden cardiac death and lacks effective treatment.It is often caused by mutations in desmosome proteins,with Desmoglein-2(DSG2)mutations as a common etiology.However,the mechanism underlying the accumulation of fibrofatty in ACM remains unknown,which impedes the development of curative treatment.Here we investigated the fat accumulation and the underlying mechanism in a mouse model of ACM induced by cardiac-specific knockout of Dsg2(CS-Dsg2^(-/-)).Heart failure and cardiac lipid accumulation were observed in CSDsg2^(-/-)mice.We demonstrated that these phenotypes were caused by decline of fatty acid(FA)β-oxidation resulted from impaired mammalian target of rapamycin(m TOR)signaling.Rapamycin worsened while overexpression of m TOR and 4EBP1 rescued the FAβ-oxidation pathway in CS-Dsg2^(-/-)mice.Reactivation of PPARa by fenofibrate or AAV9-Ppara significantly alleviated the lipid accumulation and restored cardiac function.Our results suggest that impaired m TOR-4EBP1-PPARa-dependent FAβ-oxidation contributes to myocardial lipid accumulation in ACM and PPARa may be a potential target for curative treatment of ACM.Yubi Lin Ruonan Liu Yanling Huang Zhe Yang Jianzhong Xian Jingmin Huang Zirui Qiu Xiufang Lin Mengzhen Zhang Hui Chen Huadong Wang Jiana Huang Geyang Xu 2023Acta Pharmaceutica Sinica B2023,13,1:0
