1Electrical properties of fly ash and its decarbonization by electrostatic separation显示文摘The basic principle of fly ash triboelectrification is analysed. The mineral electrical index and test method are introduced. The electric difference of different mineral composition of fly ash is discussed by analysis of chemical and mineral composition of fly ash in Xinwen power plant. The dielectric constant and charge–mass ratio of carbon and ash of fly ash are tested. Combined with the experimental study on rotary triboelectrostatic separation, the charged characteristic of fly ash particles with different size is gained. The results show that the dielectric constant of fly ash with different grain size decreased with the decrease of particle size, which lead to the poor electrical conductivity. Thus it can be seen that particle size plays a leading role in conductivity. The charge of carbon and ash with each size increased with the decreased of particle size; and the charge–mass ratio between carbon and ash with the same size larger with the decrease of size, which indicated that the finer particle size, the more favorable for triboelectrification separation. In the same conditions, the best decarburization effect is realized when the particle size ranges from 0.038 to 0.074 mm, whose decarbonization rate and efficiency index reached 38.93% and120.83% respectively.Tao Youjun Ding Qingqing Deng Mingrui Tao Dongping Wang Xu Zhang Jie 2015International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2015,25,4:8

3Effect of pyrophosphate on the light scatter in KDP crystal显示文摘Pyrophosphate doped potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP) crystal was grown from aqueous solution by the temperature lowering method. Light scatter in KDP crystal was detected with the ultramicroscopic method. The light scatter in KDP crystal was aggravated when pyro-phosphate was doped into the growth solution, which was distributed ununiformly in prism and pyramidal sectors of KDP crystal. Different effects of pyrophosphate on prism and pyramidal sectors of KDP crystal can explain this case. 5Ring-restricted N-nitrosated rhodamine as a green-light triggered,orange-emission calibrated and fast-releasing nitric oxide donor显示文摘Nitric oxide(NO) donors are versatile tools for nitric oxide biology. The biological response of NO is dependent on the transient concentration and the sustained duration. N-Nitrosated rhodamines are photo-triggered and photo-calibrated NO donors. 6Frequencies and mechanisms of pesticide resistance in Tetranychus urticae field populations in China显示文摘The two-spotted spider mite Tetranychus urticate is an important agricultural pest worldwide.It is extremely polyphagous and has developed resistance to many pesticides.Here,we assessed the pesticide resistance of seven field populations of T.urticae in China,their target site mutations and the activities of their detoxification enzymes.The results showed that abamectin and the traditional pesticides pyridaben,profenofos and bifenthrin had higher resistance or lower toxicity than more recently developed pesticides including chlorfenapyr,spinetoram,cyflumetofen,cyenopyrafen,bifenazate and B-azolemiteacrylic.The frequency of point mutations related to abamectin resistance,G314D in the glutamate-gated chloride channel 1(GluCl1)and G326E in GluC13,ranged 47%-70%and 0%-97%,respectively.The frequency of point mutations in A1215D and F1538I of the voltage-gated sodium channel gene(VGSC),which may increase resistance to pyrethroids,ranged 88%-100%and 10%-100%,respectively.For target sites related to organophosphate resistance,mutation frequencies ranged 25%-92%for G119S and 0%-23%for A201S in the acetycholinesterase gene(Ace).Mutation G126S in the bifenazate resistance-related cytochrome b gene(Cytb)was observed in three of the seven T.urticae populations.Higher activities of detoxification enzymes(P450,GST,CarEs and UGTs)were observed in two T.urticae populations,with significant difference in the XY-SX population.These results provide useful information on the status of pesticide resistance of T.urticae in China and suggest that T.urticae field populations may have multiple resistance mechanisms.Yan Zhang Dandan Xu Youjun Zhang Qingjun Wu Wen Xie Zhaojiang Guo Shaoli Wang 2022Insect Science2022,29,3:1

8Improvement in Resolution of Multiphoton Scanning Structured Illumination Microscopy via Harmonics显示文摘We describe a multiphoton(mP)-structured illumination microscopy(SIM)technique,which demonstrates substantial improvement in image resolution compared with linear SIM due to the nonlinear response of fluorescence.This nonlinear response is caused by the effect of nonsinusoidal structured illumination created by scanning a sinusoidally modulated illumination to excite an mP fluorescence signal.The harmonics of the structured fluorescence illumination are utilised to improve resolution.We present an mP-SIM theory for reconstructing the super-resolution image of the system.Theoretically,the resolution of our m P-SIM is unlimited if all the high-order harmonics of the nonlinear response of fluorescence are considered.Experimentally,we demonstrate an 86 nm lateral resolution for two-photon(2P)-SIM and a 72 nm lateral resolution for second-harmonic-generation(SHG)-SIM.We further demonstrate their application by imaging cells stained with F-actin and collagen fibres in mouse-tail tendon.Our method can be directly used in commercial mP microscopes and requires no specific fluorophores or high-intensity laser.Lei Wang Xiaomin Zheng Jie Zhou Meiting Wang Jiajie Chen Youjun Zeng Gaixia Xu Ying Wang Haixia Qiu Yonghong Shao Junle Qu Bruce Zhi Gao Ying Gu 2022Engineering2022,,9:1
9Ultra-robust stretchable electrode for e-skin:In situ assembly using a nanofiber scaffold and liquid metal to mimic water-to-net interaction显示文摘The development of stretchable electronics could enhance novel interface structures to solve the stretchability-conductivity dilemma,which remains a major challenge.Herein,we report a nano-liquid metal(LM)-based highly robust stretchable electrode(NHSE)with a self-adaptable interface that mimics water-tonet interaction.Based on the in situ assembly of electrospun elastic nanofiber scaffolds and electrosprayed LM nanoparticles,the NHSE exhibits an extremely low sheet resistance of 52 mΩsq^(-1).It is not only insensitive to a large degree of mechanical stretching(i.e.,350%electrical resistance change upon 570%elongation)but also immune to cyclic deformation(i.e.,5%electrical resistance increases after 330000 stretching cycles with 100%elongation).These key properties are far superior to those of the state-of-the-art reports.Its robustness and stability are verified under diverse circumstances,including long-term exposure to air(420 days),cyclic submersion(30000 times),and resilience against mechanical damages.The combination of conductivity,stretchability,and durability makes the NHSE a promising conductor/electrode solution for flexible/stretchable electronics for applications such as wearable on-body physiological signal detection,human-machine interaction,and heating e-skin.Jinwei Cao Fei Liang Huayang Li Xin Li Youjun Fan Chao Hu Jing Yu Jin Xu Yiming Yin Fali Li Dan Xu Hanfang Feng Huali Yang Yiwei Liu Xiaodong Chen Guang Zhu Run-Wei Li 2022InfoMat2022,4,4:1

11A novel mitochondria-targeting tetrapeptide for subcellular delivery of nanoparticles显示文摘Mitochondrial dysfunction is associated with the emergence of several neurological and cardiovascular diseases. Hence, mitochondria-targeting delivery strategies are highly significant and critically needed. In this study, we developed a small library of peptides simulating the mitochondria-targeting peptide SS-31, a promising tetra-peptide with antioxidant character, and subsequently evaluated the toxicity, antioxidant ability and mitochondrial delivery of nanoparticles. Among the designed peptides, RF-2 (DArg-Dmt-Arg-Phe-NH2) showed controlled toxicity and excellent protection against gentamicin-induced hair cell damage, as compared with SS-31. More importantly, RF-2-modified PLGA nanoparticles demonstrated high colocalization with mitochondria and comparable specific subcellular accumulation, when compared with SS-31. 19Exploration on learning molecular docking with deep learning models显示文摘Background:Molecular docking-based virtual screening(VS)aims to choose ligands with potential pharmacological activities from millions or even billions of molecules.This process could significantly cut down the number of compounds that need to be experimentally tested.However,during the docking calculation,many molecules have low affinity for a particular protein target,which waste a lot of computational resources.Methods:We implemented a fast and practical molecular screening approach called DL-DockVS(deep learning dock virtual screening)by using deep learning models(regression and classification models)to learn the outcomes of pipelined docking programs step-by-step.Results:In this study,we showed that this approach could successfully weed out compounds with poor docking scores while keeping compounds with potentially high docking scores against 10 DUD-E protein targets.A self-built dataset of about 1.9 million molecules was used to further verify DL-DockVS,yielding good results in terms of recall rate,active compounds enrichment factor and runtime speed.Conclusions:We comprehensively evaluate the practicality and effectiveness of DL-DockVS against 10 protein targets.Due to the improvements of runtime and maintained success rate,it would be a useful and promising approach to screen ultra-large compound libraries in the age of big data.It is also very convenient for researchers to make a well-trained model of one specific target for predicting other chemical libraries and high docking-score molecules without docking computation again.Qin Xie Wei Ma Jianhang Zhang Shiliang Li Xiaobing Deng Youjun Xu Weilin Zhang 2023Quantitative Biology2023,11,3:0
