Characterization of disinfection byproduct formation potential in 13 source waters in China显示文摘The formation potential of four trihalomethanes (THMFP) and seven haloacetic acids (HAA 7 FP) in 13 source waters taken from four major water basin areas in China was evaluated using the simulated distribution system (SDS) chlorination method. The specific ultraviolet absorbance (SUVA 254:the ratio of UV 254 to dissolved organic carbon (DOC)),which ranged between 0.9 and 5.0 L/(mg·m),showed that the organic compounds in different source waters exhibited different reactivities with chlorine. The HAA 7 FP of source waters ranged from 20 to 448 μg/L and the THMFP ranged from 29 to 259 μg/L.The HAA 7 FP concentrations were higher than the THMFP concentrations in all but one of the samples. Therefore, the risks of haloacetic acids (HAAs) should be of concern in some source waters.TCM (chloroform) and BDCM (bromodichloromethane) were the major THM constituents, while TCAA (trichloroacetic acid) and DCAA (dichloroacetic acid) were the major HAA species.Br-THM (brominated THM species) were much higher than BrHAA (brominated HAA species),and the formation of Br-DBP (Br-THM and Br-HAA) should be of concern when the bromide concentration is over 100 μg/L. | Junzhi Zhang Jianwei Yu Wei An Juan Liu Yongjing Wang Youjun Chen Jia Tai Min Yang | 2011 | Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,2: | 13
Effects of different forms of yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae on growth performance, intestinal development, and systemic immunity in early-weaned piglets显示文摘The present study was conducted to determine effects of different forms of yeast(Saccharomyces cerevisiae, strain Y200007) on the growth performance, intestinal development, and systemic immunity in early-weaned piglets.A total of 96 piglets(14-d old, initial average body weight of 4.5 kg) were assigned to 4 dietary treatments:(1) basal diet without yeast(Control);(2) basal diet supplemented with 3.00 g/kg live yeast(LY);(3) basal diet supplemented with 2.66 g/kg heat-killed whole yeast(HKY);and(4) basal diet supplemented with 3.00 g/kg superfine yeast powders(SFY).Diets and water were provided ad libitum to the piglets during 3-week experiment.Growth performance of piglets was measured weekly.Samples of blood and small intestine were collected at days 7 and 21 of experiment.Dietary supplementation with LY and SFY improved G:F of piglets at days 1-21 of the experiment(P<0.05) compared to Control group.Serum concentrations of growth hormone(GH),triiodothyronine(T_3),tetraiodothyronine(T_4),and insulin growth factor 1(IGF-1) in piglets at day 21 of the experiment were higher when fed diets supplemented with LY and SFY than those in Control group(P < 0.05).Compared to Control group, contents of serum urea nitrogen of piglets were reduced by the 3 yeast-supplemented diets(P< 0.05).Diets supplemented with LY increased villus height and villus-to-crypt ratio in duodenum and jejunum of piglets(P < 0.05) compared to other two groups at day 7 of the experiment.Feeding diets supplemented with LY and SFY increased(P< 0.05) serum concentrations of IgA,IL-2,and IL-6 levels in piglets compared to Control. The CD4^+/CD8^+ ratio and proliferation of T-lymphocytes in piglets fed diets supplemented with LY were increased compared to that of Control group at day 7 of the experiment(P < 0.05).In conclusion, dietary supplementation with both LY and SFY enhanced feed conversion, small intestinal development, and systemic immunity in early-weaned piglets, with better improvement in feed conversion by dietary supplementation with LY,while dietary supplementation with SFY was more effective in increasing systemic immune functions in early-weaned piglets. | Zongyong Jiang Shaoyong Wei Zhilin Wang Cui Zhu Shenglan Hu Chuntian Zheng Zhuang Chen Youjun Hu Li Wang Xianyong Ma Xuefen Yang | 2016 | Journal of Animal Science and Biotechnology2016,7,1: | 13
The influence of pore structure on P-& S-wave velocities in complex carbonate reservoirs with secondary storage space显示文摘Secondary storage spaces with very complex geometries are well developed in Ordovician carbonate reservoirs in the Tarim Basin, which is taken as a study case in this paper. It is still not clear how the secondary storage space shape influences the P-& S-wave velocities (or elastic properties) in complex carbonate reservoirs. In this paper, three classical rock physics models (Wyllie timeaverage equation,Gassmann equation and the Kuster-Toks z model) are comparably analyzed for their construction principles and actual velocity prediction results, aiming at determining the most favourable rock physics model to consider the influence of secondary storage space shape. Then relationships between the P-& S-wave velocities in carbonate reservoirs and geometric shapes of secondary storage spaces are discussed from different aspects based on actual well data by employing the favourable rock physics model. To explain the influence of secondary storage space shape on V P-V S relationship,it is analyzed for the differences of S-wave velocities between derived from common empirical relationships (including Castagna's mud rock line and Greenberg-Castagna V P-V S relationship) and predicted by the rock physics model. We advocate that V P-V S relationship for complex carbonate reservoirs should be built for different storage space types. For the carbonate reservoirs in the Tarim Basin, the V P-V S relationships for fractured,fractured-cavernous,and fractured-hole-vuggy reservoirs are respectively built on the basis of velocity prediction and secondary storage space type determination.Through the discussion above,it is expected that the velocity prediction and the V P-V S relationships for complex carbonate reservoirs should fully consider the influence of secondary storage space shape, thus providing more reasonable constraints for prestack inversion, further building a foundation for realizing carbonate reservoir prediction and fluid prediction. | Wang Haiyang Sam Zandong Sun Yang Haijun Gao Hongliang Xiao Youjun Hu Hongru | 2011 | Petroleum Science2011,8,4: | 10
Electrical properties of fly ash and its decarbonization by electrostatic separation显示文摘The basic principle of fly ash triboelectrification is analysed. The mineral electrical index and test method are introduced. The electric difference of different mineral composition of fly ash is discussed by analysis of chemical and mineral composition of fly ash in Xinwen power plant. The dielectric constant and charge–mass ratio of carbon and ash of fly ash are tested. Combined with the experimental study on rotary triboelectrostatic separation, the charged characteristic of fly ash particles with different size is gained. The results show that the dielectric constant of fly ash with different grain size decreased with the decrease of particle size, which lead to the poor electrical conductivity. Thus it can be seen that particle size plays a leading role in conductivity. The charge of carbon and ash with each size increased with the decreased of particle size; and the charge–mass ratio between carbon and ash with the same size larger with the decrease of size, which indicated that the finer particle size, the more favorable for triboelectrification separation. In the same conditions, the best decarburization effect is realized when the particle size ranges from 0.038 to 0.074 mm, whose decarbonization rate and efficiency index reached 38.93% and120.83% respectively. | Tao Youjun Ding Qingqing Deng Mingrui Tao Dongping Wang Xu Zhang Jie | 2015 | International Journal of Mining Science and Technology2015,25,4: | 8
Effect of source location on particle dispersion in displacement ventilation rooms显示文摘A proposed computer model for predicting aerosol particle dispersion in indoor spaces was validated with experimental data found in th literature, and is then used to study the effect of the area and point source locations on particle dispersion in displacement ventilation(DV) rooms The results show that aerosol source location has a strong impact on the spatial distribution and removal rate of indoor particles.Particle remova performance depends strongly on ventilation efficiency and particle deposition rate on indoor surfaces.Important consideration for both relativ ventilation efficiency and deposition rate consists of the position of the aerosol source relative to the main airflow pattern and the occupied zone. | Ke Zhong Yanming Kang Youjun Wang | 2008 | Particuology2008,6,5: | 7
A genome-wide analysis of SWEET gene family in cotton and their expressions under different stresses显示文摘Background: The SWEET(Sugars will eventually be exported transporters) gene family plays multiple roles in plant physiological activities and development process. It participates in reproductive development and in the process of sugar transport and absorption, plant senescence and stress responses and plant-pathogen interaction. However, thecomprehensive analysis of SWEET genes has not been reported in cotton. Results: In this study, we identified 22, 31, 55 and 60 SWEET genes from the sequenced genomes of Gossypium arboreum, G. raimondii, G. hirsutum and G. barbadense, respectively. Phylogenetic tree analysis showed that the SWEET genes could be divided into four groups, which were further classified into 14 sub-clades. Further analysis of chromosomal location, synteny analysis and gene duplication suggested that the orthologs showed a good collinearity and segmental duplication events played a crucial role in the expansion of the family in cotton. Specific MtN3_slv domains were highly conserved between Arobidopsis and cotton by exon-intron organization and motif analysis. In addition, the expression pattern in different tissues indicated that the duplicated genes in cotton might have acquired new functions as a result of sub-functionalization or neo-funtionalization. The expression pattern of SWEET genes showed that the different genes were induced by diverse stresses. The identification and functional analysis of SWEET genes in cotton may provide more candidate genes for genetic modification. Conclusion: SWEET genes were classified into four clades in cotton. The expression patterns suggested that the duplicated genes might have experienced a functional divergence. This work provides insights into the evolution of SWEET genes and more candidates for specific genetic modification, which will be useful in future research. | ZHAO Lanjie YAO Jinbo CHEN Wei LI Yan L Youjun GUO Yan WANG Junyi YUAN Li LIU Ziyang ZHANG Yongshan | 2018 | Journal of Cotton Research2018,1,2: | 6
Effects of soil nutrients and climate factors on belowground biomass in an alpine meadow in the source region of the Yangtze-Yellow rivers, Tibetan Plateau of China显示文摘Improving our knowledge of the effects of environmental factors(e.g.soil conditions, precipitation and temperature) on belowground biomass in an alpine grassland is essential for understanding the consequences of carbon storage in this biome. The object of this study is to investigate the relative importance of soil nutrients and climate factors on belowground biomass in an alpine meadow in the source region of the Yangtze and Yellow rivers,Tibetan Plateau.Soil organic carbon(SOC),total nitrogen(TN) and total phosphorous(TP) contents and belowground biomass were measured at 22 sampling sites across an alpine meadow on the Tibetan Plateau. We analyzed the data by using the redundancy analysis to determine the main environmental factors affecting the belowground biomass and the contribution of each factor. The results showed that SOC,TN and TP were the main factors that influenced belowground biomass, and the contribution of SOC,TN and TP on biomass was in the range of 47.87%–72.06% at soil depths of 0–30 cm.Moreover, the combined contribution of annual mean temperature(AMT) and mean annual precipitation(MAP) on belowground biomass ranged from 0.92% to 4.10%.A potential mechanism for the differences in belowground biomass was caused by the variations in soil nitrogen and phosphorous, which were coupled with SOC.A significant correlation was observed between MAP and soil nutrients(SOC,TN and TP) at the soil depth of 0–10 cm(P<0.05).We concluded that precipitation is an important driving force in regulating ecosystem functioning as reflected in variations of soil nutrients(SOC,TN and TP) and dynamics of belowground biomass in alpine grassland ecosystems. | WANG Haiming SUN Jian LI Weipeng WU Jianbo CHEN Youjun LIU Wenhui | 2016 | Journal of Arid Land2016,8,6: | 5
Effects of supply air temperature and inlet location on particle dispersion in displacement ventilation rooms显示文摘The effects of supply temperature and vertical location of inlet air on particle dispersion in a displacement ventilated (DV) room were numerically modeled with validation by experimental data from the literature. The results indicate that the temperature and vertical location of inlet supply air did not greatly affect the air distribution in the upper parts of a DV room, but could signiflcantly influence the airflow pattern in the lower parts of the room, thus affecting the indoor air quality with contaminant sources located at the lower level, such as particles from working activities in an offlce. The numerical results also show that the inlet location would slightly influence the relative ventilation efflciency for the same air supply volume, but particle concentration in the breathing zone would be slightly lower with a low horizontal wall slot than a rectangular diffuser. Comparison of the results for two different supply temperatures in a DV room shows that, although lower supply temperature means less incoming air volume, since the indoor flow is mainly driven by buoyancy, lower supply temperature air could more efflciently remove passive sources (such as particles released from work activities in an offlce). However, in the breathing zone it gives higher concentration as compared to higher supply air temperature. To obtain good indoor air quality, low supply air temperature should be avoided because concentration in the breathing zone has a stronger and more direct impact on human health. | Yanming Kang Youjun Wang Ke Zhong | 2011 | Particuology2011,9,6: | 5
Numerical simulation of the influence of aerosol radiation effect on urban boundary layer显示文摘With the intensification of pollution and urbanization, the aerosol radiation effect continues to play an important role in the urban boundary layer. In this paper, a winter pollution process in Beijing has been taken as an example, and a new aerosol vertical profile in the radiative parameterization scheme within the Weather Forecast Research and Forecasting(WRF) model has been updated to study the effect of aerosols on radiation and the boundary layer. Furthermore, the interactions among aerosols, urbanization, and planetary boundary layer(PBL) meteorology were discussed through a series of numerical experiments. The results show the following:(1) The optimization improves the performance of the model in simulating the distribution features of air temperature, humidity, and wind in Beijing.(2) The aerosols reduce the surface temperature by reducing solar radiation and increasing the temperature in the upper layer by absorbing or backscattering solar radiation. The changes in the PBL temperature lead to more stable atmospheric stratification, reducing the energy transfer from the surface and the height of the boundary layer.(3) With the increase in the aerosol optical depth, the atmospheric stratification most likely becomes stable over rural areas, most likely becomes stable over suburb areas, and has great difficultly becoming stable over urban areas. Aerosol radiative forcing, underlying urban surfaces, and the interaction between them are the main factors that affect the changes in the meteorological elements in the PBL. | Xinran WANG Xiaodong HE Shiguang MIAO Youjun DOU | 2018 | Science China Earth Sciences2018,61,12: | 4
Experimental investigation on dynamic mechanical characteristics and microstructure of steam-cured concrete显示文摘Steam-cured concrete is widely used to manufacture prefabricated units of high-speed railway foundation structure such as girder and track slab. The dynamic mechanical property of steam-cured concrete is one of the key properties affecting service performance of high-speed railway foundation structure. In the present paper, serial macro/micro-experiments were carried out to investigate the dynamic elastic modulus, shear modulus, damping ratio, and microstructure of steam-cured concrete. The relationships between compositions, curing regime, microstructure, and dynamic properties of steam-cured concrete as well as the corresponding mechanisms were discussed. The results indicate that steam-cured concrete in early age has a larger dynamic elastic modulus and shear modulus as well as a smaller damping ratio compared with standard-cured concrete. On the contrary,at a later age a slightly smaller dynamic elastic modulus and a larger damping ratio of steam-cured concrete are observed.Addition of mineral admixture results in a bit lower dynamic elastic modulus and damping ratio of concrete than that of the control specimen without mineral admixtures. The achievements can provide some fundamental suggestions for materials parameters selection during structural design of steam-cured concrete precast element. | LONG GuangCheng WANG Meng XIE YouJun MA KunLin | 2014 | Science China(Technological Sciences)2014,57,10: | 4
Effect of pyrophosphate on the light scatter in KDP crystal显示文摘Pyrophosphate doped potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP) crystal was grown from aqueous solution by the temperature lowering method. Light scatter in KDP crystal was detected with the ultramicroscopic method. The light scatter in KDP crystal was aggravated when pyro-phosphate was doped into the growth solution, which was distributed ununiformly in prism and pyramidal sectors of KDP crystal. Different effects of pyrophosphate on prism and pyramidal sectors of KDP crystal can explain this case. The transmission in this crystal was measured, showing that pyrophosphate affects the transmission evidently. | Xun Sun Xinguang Xu Youjun Fu Shenglai Wang Hong Zeng Yiping Li Zhangshou Gao | 2001 | Chinese Science Bulletin2001,46,5: | 3

Spatial heterogeneity of soil water content in the reversion process of desertification in arid areas显示文摘Sandy soils in arid,rain-fed environments have low and limited water content, which is a principal factor limiting vegetation development, and a key constraint controlling the structure and functions of the ecological systems in arid areas. The spatial heterogeneity of soil water content is a major soil property, and a focus of soil science and hydrology. On the southern edge of the Tengger Desert, sample plots were selected from mobile sand dunes in desertified lands that had been enclosed for 5,15 and 25 years, respectively. This study explored the dynamic and spatial heterogeneity of soil water content in these different layers of soil that were also in the reversion process of desertification. The results showed that the soil water content of the mobile sand dunes was highest when in the initial stages of the reversion process of desertification, while the soil water content in the 0-20 cm,20-40 cm and 40-60 cm layers of soil was 1.769%,3.011%,and 2.967% respectively, presenting a restoring tendency after 25 years of enclosure. There were significant differences,as a whole,in the soil water content among different restoration stages and different soil layers, respectively.Changes in soil water content,in different soil layers,at different restoration stages, exhibited exponential or spherical patterns. The spatial distribution of soil water content exhibited a mosaic patch pattern with obvious spatial heterogeneity. The ratio of the heterogeneity of spatial autocorrelation to gross spatial heterogeneity was greater than 50%.The gross spatial heterogeneity of the 0-20 cm layer of soil improved gradually, while those of the 20-40 cm and 40-60 cm layers improved initially, then weakened in the reversion process of desertification. This study revealed that restoration with sand-binding vegetation reduced soil water content, and increased its spatial heterogeneity in arid areas. However, after 25 years of vegetation-soil system restoration, the soil water content started to increase and its spatial heterogeneity started to weaken. These results will further benefit the understanding of the ecological mechanism between soil water and sand-binding vegetation. | QuanLin MA Fang CHENG YouJun LIU FangLin Wang DeKuai ZHANG HuJia JIN | 2011 | Journal of Arid Land2011,3,4: | 2
Fluvial sediments in the Alagxa Plateau as a dust source: iron mineralogical and geochemical evidence显示文摘The Alagxa Plateau, in the margin of the northeastern Tibetan Plateau, is one of the most important dust source areas in East Asia, and the widespread sandy desert in the area is important both as a reservoir and a source of eolian silty. The northeastern margin of the Tibetan Plateau is one of the most actively-growing mountain belt on earth, and has large amounts of debris, with masses of fine grained material, which were continuously mobilized and deposited in the Alagxa Plateau by rivers, forming broad alluvial fans. It is possible that the role of fluvial sediments as a source of silty dust in the Alagxa Plateau has been underestimated. In this study, we test this hypothesis by investigating the iron mineralogical and geochemical characteristics of the fluvial sediments and the surface material of the sandy desert in the Alagxa Plateau, and comparing them with paleo-eolian dust deposits(loess) in the adjacent Chinese Loess Plateau(CLP) to investigate the possible linkages among the fluvial sediments, sandy desert and the last glacial loess of the CLP. The results show that sandy desert typically have high contents of goethite, and high ratios of goethite to hematite, similar to the fluvial sediments in the Alagxa Plateau. Based on the major element characteristics, field investigations and the results of previous studies, we found a genetic link between the silt component of the fluvial sediments and the sandy desert in the Alagxa Plateau with high value of Gt(goethite) and similarity of the Gt/(Hm(hematite)+Gt) ratio. But the silt component of the sandy desert main come from the adjacent fluvial sediments. The iron mineralogical characteristics(χ(magnetic susceptibility), χARM(anhysteretic susceptibility), SIRM(saturation isothermal remanent magnetization) and SIRM_(AF100 mT)(SIRM demagnetized at 100 mT)) of the CLP samples overlap with those of the fluvial sediments in the Alagxa Plateau, but there is a mismatch with the sandy desert samples. This suggests that the fluvial sediments are the source of a large amount of silty material which could be transported to the CLP. Therefore, we conclude that the fluvial sediment in the Alagxa Plateau is an important source of eolian silt, which is deposited in downwind region, and that this source has been previously underestimated. | WANG Youjun JIA Jia LU Hao LU Caichen XIA Dunsheng | 2019 | Journal of Arid Land2019,11,2: | 2
Spatiotemporal distributions and environmental drivers of diversity and community structure of nosZ-type denitrifiers and anammox bacteria in sediments of the Bohai Sea and North Yellow Sea, China显示文摘Denitrification and anammox processes are major nitrogen removal processes in coastal ecosystems. However, the spatiotemporal dynamics and driving factors of the diversity and community structure of involved functional bacteria have not been well illustrated in coastal environments, especially in human-dominated ecosystems. In this study, we investigated the distributions of denitrifiers and anammox bacteria in the eutrophic Bohai Sea and the northern Yellow Sea of China in May and November of 2012 by constructing clone libraries employing nosZ and 16S rRNA gene biomarkers. The diversity of nosZ-denitrifier was much higher at the coastal sites compared with the central sites, but not significant among basins or seasons. Alphaproteobacteria were predominant and prevalent in the sediments, whereas Betaproteobacteria primarily occurred at the site near the Huanghe (Yellow) River estuary. Anammox bacteria Candidatus Scalindua was predominant in the sediments, and besides, Candidatus Brocadia and Candidatus Kuenenia were also detected at the site near the Huanghe River estuary that received strong riverine and anthropogenic impacts. Salinity was the most important in structuring communities of nosZ-denitrifier and anammox bacteria. Additionally, anthropogenic perturbations (e.g. nitrogen overloading and consequent high primary productivity, and heavy metal discharges) contributed significantly to shaping community structures of denitrifier and anammox bacteria, suggesting that anthropogenic activities would influence and even change the ecological function of coastal ecosystems. | CAI Youjun ZHANG Xiaoli LI Guihao DONG Jun YANG Anjing WANG Guangyu ZHOU Xiaojian | 2019 | Journal of Oceanology and Limnology2019,37,4: | 2
The Gravitational-wave physics Ⅱ: Progress显示文摘It has been a half-decade since the first direct detection of gravitational waves, which signifies the coming of the era of the gravitational-wave astronomy and gravitational-wave cosmology. The increasing number of the detected gravitational-wave events has revealed the promising capability of constraining various aspects of cosmology, astronomy, and gravity. Due to the limited space in this review article, we will briefly summarize the recent progress over the past five years, but with a special focus on some of our own work for the Key Project 'Physics associated with the gravitational waves' supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China. In particular,(1) we have presented the mechanism of the gravitational-wave production during some physical processes of the early Universe, such as inflation, preheating and phase transition, and the cosmological implications of gravitational-wave measurements;(2) we have put constraints on the neutron star maximum mass according to GW170817 observations;(3) we have developed a numerical relativity algorithm based on the finite element method and a waveform model for the binary black hole coalescence along an eccentric orbit. | Ligong Bian Rong-Gen Cai Shuo Cao Zhoujian Cao He Gao Zong-Kuan Guo Kejia Lee Di Li Jing Liu Youjun Lu Shi Pi Jian-Min Wang Shao-Jiang Wang Yan Wang Tao Yang Xing-Yu Yang Shenghua Yu Xin Zhang | 2021 | Science China(Physics,Mechanics & Astronomy)2021,64,12: | 2

Direct control of store-operated calcium channels by ultrafast laser显示文摘Ca^(2+) channels are essential to cell birth, life, and death. They can be externally activated by optogenetic tools, but this requires robust introduction of exogenous optogenetic genes for expression of photosensitive proteins in biological systems. Here we present femtoSOC,a method for direct control of Ca^(2+)channels solely by ultrafast laser without the need for optogenetic tools or any other exogenous reagents.Specifically,by focusing and scanning wavelength-tuned low-power femtosecond laser pulses on the plasma membrane for multiphoton excitation,we directly induced Ca^(2+) influx in cultured cells.Mechanistic study reveals that photoexcited flavins covalently bind cysteine residues in Orai1 via thioether bonds, which facilitates Orai1 polymerization to form store-operated calcium channels(SOCs)independently of STIM1,a protein generally participating in SOC formation, enabling all-optical activation of Ca^(2+) influx and downstream signaling pathways. Moreover,we used femtoSOC to demonstrate direct neural activation both in brain slices in vitro and in intact brains of living mice in vivo in a spatiotemporal-specific manner, indicating potential utility of femtoSOC. | Pan Cheng Xiaoying Tian Wanyi Tang Juan Cheng Jin Bao Haipeng Wang Sisi Zheng Youjun Wang Xunbin Wei Tunan Chen Hua Feng Tian Xue Keisuke Goda Hao He | 2021 | Cell Research2021,31,7: | 2
Aurora B kinase activation requires survivin priming phosphorylation by PLK1显示文摘During cell division, chromosome segregation is orchestrated by the interaction of spindle microtubules with the centromere.Accurate attachment of spindle microtubules to kinetochore requires the chromosomal passenger of Aurora B kinase complex with borealin,INCENP and survivin(SUR).The current working model argues that SUR is responsible for docking Aurora B to the centromere whereas its precise role in Aurora B activation has been unclear. Here,we show that Aurora B kinase activation requires SUR priming phosphorylation at Ser20 which is catalyzed by polo-like kinase 1(PLK1).Inhibition of PLK1 kinase activity or expression of non-phosphorylatable SUR mutant prevents Aurora B activation and correct spindle microtubule attachment. The PLK1-mediated regulation of Aurora B kinase activity was examined in real-time mitosis using fluorescence resonance energy transfer-based reporter and quantitative analysis of native Aurora B substrate phosphorylation. We reason that the PLK1-mediated priming phosphorylation is critical for orchestrating Aurora B activity in centromere which is essential for accurate chromosome segregation and faithful completion of cytokinesis. | Youjun Chu Phil Y.Yao Wenwen Wang Dongmei Wang Zhikai Wang Liangyu Zhang Yuejia Huang Yuwen Ke Xia Ding Xuebiao Yao | 2011 | Journal of Molecular Cell Biology2011,3,4: | 2
