| 1 | Downstaging and resection of hepatocellular carcinoma in patients with extrahepatic metastases after stereotactic therapy显示文摘Background:A combination of tyrosine kinase inhibitors(TKIs)and anti-PD-1 antibodies with local regional therapy has elicited yield substantial clinical benefits in patients who have hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)with extrahepatic metastases.Using this treatment strategy to convert HCC patients with extrahepatic metastases from unresectable to resectable has not yet been reported.Methods:Consecutive hepatocellular carcinoma patients with extrahepatic metastases who received first-line therapy with a combination of TKIs and anti-PD-1 antibodies and at least one local regional therapy were analysed.Results:Nine patients with localized disease who received first-line systemic therapy were enrolled.At baseline,all of them had oligometastatic disease,namely,Barcelona Clinic Liver Cancer stage C(or Chinese Liver Cancer stage IIIB).The most common treatment administered was lenvatinib plus anti-PD-1 antibody and transarterial chemoembolization,and the median time span from systemic therapy to surgery was 3.2(IQR,2.8-6.2)months.Three patients achieved a pathological complete response.Six patients underwent laparoscopic surgery,and the other 3 patients underwent open surgery.After a median follow-up of 10.2(IQR,8.6-20.0)months,7 patients survived without disease recurrence,and 2 experienced tumour recurrence.All patients had any-grade AEs,and 55.6%of the patients experienced grade 3 AEs.Fatigue was the most common AE,followed by elevated aminotransferase levels and hypertension.Conclusions:Stereotactic therapy is a feasible conversion therapy for HCC patients with extrahepatic metastases to become resectable.This is the first study to analyse therapeutic outcomes of patients receiving these therapies for HCC with extrahepatic metastases. | Xiaobo Yang Haifeng Xu Bangyou Zuo Xu Yang Jin Bian Junyu Long Dongxu Wang Junwei Zhang Cong Ning Yanyu Wang Ziyu Xun Yunchao Wang Xin Lu Yilei Mao Xinting Sang Haitao Zhao | 2021 | Hepatobiliary Surgery and Nutrition2021,10,4: | 17 |
| 2 | Balance between facilitation and competition determines spatial patterns in a plant population显示文摘A considerable challenge in plant ecology is to understand how interactions,such as competition or facilitation,shape the spatial distribution of plants.The‘‘stress gradient hypothesis’’predicts that facilitation and competition will vary inversely across gradients of abiotic stress or consumer pressure.Surprisingly,few previous studies have explored how the balance between facilitation and competition affects spatial patterns along gradients of stress in a plant population based on field experiments.In order to investigate the effects of consumer pressure,facilitation,and competition on the spatial pattern of plant populations,we conducted a restoration succession series field experiment in the Inner Mongolian steppe in which sample sites of graded consumer pressure,specifically grazing stress,were established.We chose to examine the spatial patterns of Leymus chinensis,a dominant species in our experimental site.In order to test the‘‘stress gradient hypothesis,’’we applied the univariate O-ring statistic to analyze local neighborhood density at different spatial scales.We used the pair-correlation function to detect the characteristics of point patterns using complete spatial randomness,the Poisson cluster process,and the nested double-cluster process.We found that the local densities of L.chinensis were higher under high stress than lower stress environments.This demonstrated the‘‘stress gradient hypothesis’’in that facilitation and competition varied inversely across gradients of consumer pressure.However,we found nodifferences in the spatial patterns of L.chinensis based on complete spatial randomness when interactions shifted from facilitation to competition along gradients of consumer pressure.Furthermore,we detected the characteristics of point patterns using the Poisson cluster and nested doublecluster processes.The results showed the spatial patterns of L.chinensis to fit well with the nested double-cluster model under highly stressful conditions,while in lower stress environments they were best approximated by the Thomas process.Our results illustrate that a shift in interactions from facilitation to competition along gradients of consumer pressure can shape spatial patterns and that a combination of the Poisson cluster process and nested doublecluster process can detect spatial pattern characteristics which cannot be detected by complete spatial randomness. | Xinting Wang Cunzhu Liang Wei Wang | 2014 | Chinese Science Bulletin2014,59,13: | 16 |
| 3 | Nab-paclitaxel(abraxane)-based chemotherapy to treat elderly patients with advanced non-small-cell lung cancer:a single center,randomized and open-label clinical trial显示文摘Background:The purpose of this study is to evaluate the clinical efficacy and safety of abraxane-based chemotherapy with/without nedaplatin in elderly patients with non-small-cell lung cancer(NSCLC).Materials and methods:From October 2009 to January 2013,48 elderly patients(>65 years) with NSCLC were investigated in this clinical trial.The patients were randomized and equally allocated into arms A and AP:(A) abraxane(130 mg/m^2,days 1,8);(B) abraxane + nedaplatin(20 mg/m^2 days 1-3,q3w).The parameters of objective response rate(ORR),disease control rate(DCR),progression-free survival(PFS),overall survival(OS) and side effects were evaluated between two arms.Results:Over 80%of the patients completed four cycles of chemotherapy.The total ORR was 21.3%,DCR was 55.3%,PFS 4.5 months and OS 12.6 months.No significant difference was found between arms A and AP in terms of ORR(16.7%vs.26.1%,P=0.665) or DCR(55.3%vs.56.5%,P=0.871).The median PFS in arm A was 3.3 months[25-75%confidence interval(CI):3.1-7.2]and 5.5 months(25-75%CI:3.2-7.0) in arm AP with no statistical significance(P=0.640).The median OS in arm A was 12.6 months(25-75%CI:5.7-26.2) and 15.1 months(25-75%CI:6.4-35.3) in arm AP with no statistical significance(P=0.770).The side effects were mainly grade 1-2.The incidence of grade 3-4 toxicities was 29.1%in arm A and 62.5%in arm AP with a statistical significance(P=0.020).Conclusions:Compared with combined therapy,abraxane alone chemotherapy was beneficial for elderly NSCLC patients with better tolerability and less adverse events,whereas did not significantly differ in terms of ORR,DCR,PFS or OS. | Hanrui Chen Xuewu Huang Shutang Wang Xinting Zheng Jietao Lin Peng Li Lizhu Lin | 2015 | Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2015,27,2: | 12 |
| 4 | Design,methodology,and baseline of whole city‑million scale children and adolescents myopia survey(CAMS)in Wenzhou,China显示文摘Background:Myopia is the most common visual impairment in children and adolescents worldwide.This study described an economical and effective population-based screening pipeline and performed the project of a million scale children and adolescents myopia survey(CAMS),which will shed light on the further study of myopia from the level of epidemiology and precision medicine.Methods:We developed a novel population-based screening pattern,an intelligent screening process and internetbased information transmission and analysis system to carry out the survey consisting of school children in Wenzhou,China.The examination items include unaided distance visual acuity,presenting distance visual acuity,and noncycloplegic autorefraction.Myopia and high myopia were defined as spherical equivalent(SE)≤−1.00 diopters(D)and SE≤−6.00 D,respectively.Next,the reports of the vision checking were automatically sent to parents and the related departments.The CAMS project will be done two to four times annually with the support of the government.An online eyesight status information management system(OESIMS)was developed to construct comprehensive and efficient electronic vision health records(EVHRs)for myopia information inquiry,risk pre-warning,and further study.Results:The CAMS completed the first-round of screening within 30 days for 99.41%of Wenzhou students from districts and counties,in June 2019.A total of 1,060,925 participants were eligible for CAMS and 1,054,251(99.37%participation rate)were selected through data quality control,which comprised 1305 schools,and 580,609,251,050 and 170,967 elementary,middle,and high school students.The mean age of participants was 12.21±3.32 years(6-20 years),the female-to-male ratio was 0.82.The prevalence of myopia in elementary,middle,and high school students was 38.16%,77.52%,and 84.00%,respectively,and the high myopia incidence was 0.95%,6.90%,and 12.98%.Conclusions:The CAMS standardized myopia screening model involves automating large-scale information collection,data transmission,data analysis and early warning,thereby supporting myopia prevention and control.The entire survey reduced 90%of staff,cost,and time consumption compared with previous surveys.This will provide new insights for decision support for public health intervention. | Liangde Xu Youyuan Zhuang Guosi Zhang Yunlong Ma Jian Yuan Changseng Tu MiaoMiao Li Wencan Wang Yaru Zhang Xiaoyan Lu Jing Li Xinting Liu Zhengbo Xue Meng Zhou Jie Sun Jinhua Bao Ming Li Fan Lu Hong Wang Jianzhong Su Jia Qu | 2021 | Eye and Vision2021,8,1: | 7 |
| 5 | Clinical diagnosis and treatment of alpha-fetoprotein-negative small hepatic lesions显示文摘Objective: We examined 103 cases over the last five years and discussed diagnosis and treatment of alpha- fetoprotein (AFP)-negative small hepatic lesions. Background: Small hepatic lesions (less than 2 cm in diameter) usually have no typical imaging characteristics and therefore are difficult to diagnose, especially when AFP tests provide a negative result. Methods: A total of 103 patients with AFP-negative small hepatic lesions from January 2003 to December 2008 were retrospectively reviewed. Differential diagnosis was performed by digital subtraction angiography (DSA), dynamic contrast-enhanced magnetic resonance imaging (DCE-MRI), contrast-enhanced ultrasound (CEUS), or positron emission tomography-computed tomography (PET-CT) based on the multiplicity of lesions. Ninety-four patients with suspected cancers underwent partial hepatectomy. Clinical data were collected from hospital records and follow-up questionnaires. Results: Hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) diagnostic sensitivity of DSA, DCE-MRI, CEUS and PET-CT was 88.2%, 93.9%, 88.9% and 88.9%, respectively. The surgery-related complication rate was 6.4%. Prognosis was good, with 1- and 3-year survival rates of 98.8% and 76.1%, respectively. Conclusions: DSA, DCE-MRI, CEUS and PET-CT are valuable for diagnosis of small hepatic lesions. Partial hepatectomy is a preferred surgical procedure. | 6 | Feed intake prediction model for group fish using the MEA-BP neural network in intensive aquaculture显示文摘In aquaculture,the accurate prediction of feed intake for group fish is considered to be crucial to any feeding system.Previous studies mainly used mathematical statistics to establish the mapping relationship between feed intake and influencing factors.The result was easily influenced by subjective experience.To solve the above issues,this paper proposed a feed intake prediction model for group fish using the back-propagation neural network(BPNN)and mind evolutionary algorithm(MEA).Firstly,four factors,including water temperature,dissolved oxygen,the average fish weight and the number of fish were selected as the input of the BPNN model.Secondly,the initial weight and threshold of the BPNN were optimized by the MEA to improve the matching precision.Finally,the prediction model was achieved after training.Experimental results showed that the correlation coefficient between the predicted and measured values reached 0.96.And the root mean squared error,mean square error,mean absolute error,mean absolute percent error of the model was 6.89,47.53,6.17 and 0.04,respectively.In addition,the proposed method also had the better nonlinear fitting ability than BPNN and GA-BP.By using an intelligent optimization algorithm,the mapping relationship between fish intake and environmental factors was automatically established,thus avoiding the subjectivity of traditional methods.Therefore,it can lay a theoretical foundation for the development of intelligent feeding equipment and meet the needs of the smart fishery. | Lan Chen Xinting Yang Chuanheng Sun Yizhong Wang Daming Xu Chao Zhou | 2020 | Information Processing in Agriculture2020,7,2: | 5 |
| 7 | Mitochondrial Genome of Episesarma lafondii(Brachyura:Sesarmidae)and Comparison with Other Sesarmid Crabs显示文摘Complete mitochondrial genomes(mitogenomes)can provide useful information for phylogenetic relationships,gene rearrangement,and molecular evolution.Here,the complete mitogenome of Episesarma lafondii(Brachyura:Grapsoidea:Sesarmidae)was sequenced through next-generation sequencing technique for the first time.The 15640 bp mitogenome contains the entire set of 37 genes and an AT-rich region.The rearrangements of two tRNA genes(tRNA-His and tRNA-Gln)are compared with that in the pancrustacean ground pattern,and the tandem duplication/random loss model was selected to explain the observed gene rearrangements.The phylogenetic results showed that all sesarmid crabs belong to the same group,wherein the genus Episesarma showed the closest relationship with Clistocoeloma.Furthermore,the monophyly of each family was well supported except for Xanthidae,Gecarcinidae,and Homolidae.The correlation between the phylogeny of Sesarmidae species and the gaps in the QIM region was analyzed.Evidently,the gaps between Q and I(Gap3 and between I and M(Gap4)degenerated with the evolution process.In general,the results will contribute to the in-depth understanding of gene rearrangements in Sesarmidae mitogenomes and provide new insights into the phylogeny of Brachyura. | ZHANG Ying GAO Yan GONG Li LU Xinting JIANG Lihua LIU Bingjian LIU Liqin LU Zhenming LI Pengfei | 2021 | Journal of Ocean University of China2021,20,6: | 4 |
| 8 | Electro-acupuncture at Zusanli(ST 36) to improve lower extremity motor function in sensory disturbance patients with cerebral stroke A randomized controlled study of 240 cases显示文摘BACKGROUND:Studies have shown that sensory transduction is a way to introduce needle sensation. OBJECTIVE:To observe the influence of electro-acupuncture at the'Zusanli'(ST 36) point on lower extremity motor function in various sensory disturbance patients with cerebral stroke. DESIGN,TIME AND SETTING:A randomized,controlled,clinical study was performed at the Department of Neurological Rehabilitation,China Rehabilitation Research Centre from September 2006 to June 2008. PARTICIPANTS:Patients with first-time cerebral infarction or hemorrhage,or with a stroke history, but no neurodysfunction(single damage),were selected for this study.The subjects were right-handed and disease state was stable.A total of 240 inpatients were randomly assigned to the following groups:electro-acupuncture(n= 124) and control(n= 116).The two groups were further assigned into sub-groups:no sensory disturbance,superficial sensory disturbance,deep sensory disturbance,and deep and superficial sensory disturbance. METHODS:On the basis of routine limb function training,the acupoint Zusanli was utilized in all patients from the electro-acupuncture group.Perpendicular acupuncture was 3.0-4.0 cm deep.An electric acupuncture instrument was connected when patients developed the needle sensation,deqi. A stimulation pattern consisting of distant and dense waves of 50 Hz was used to elicit slight dorsal foot extension.Acupuncture was administered 5 times per week,30 minutes per session,for 6 weeks in total. MAIN OUTCOME MEASURES:Fugl-Meyer assessment(FMA) was used to evaluate lower extremity motor function;Ver.1.0 gait analysis to estimate gait(step frequency,step speed,and step scope);lower extremity Composite Spasticity Scale(CSS) to estimate muscle spastic degree. RESULTS:Following treatment,motor function improved in both groups.Compared with the control group,FMA score,step speed,step frequency,and step scope were increased in the electro-acupuncture group,but there was no difference in lower extremity CSS scores between the electro-acupuncture and the control groups(P>0.05).Compared with the control group,Zusanli (ST 36) electro-acupuncture improved motor function indices as follows:FMA score,step frequency, step speed,and step scope of patients with no sensory disturbance(P<0.05-0.01),step frequency of patients with superficial sensory disturbance(P<0.05),and step frequency and step speed of patients with deep sensory disturbance(P<0.05). | 12 | Segmentation of thermal infrared images of cucumber leaves using K-means clustering for estimating leaf wetness duration显示文摘Leaf wetness duration(LWD)is a critical parameter used to predict plant disease,but its determination under actual field conditions is a major challenge.In this study,a method for determining LWD using thermal infrared imaging was developed and applied to cucumber plants grown in a solar greenhouse.Thermal images of the plant leaves were captured using an infrared scanning camera,and a leaf wetness area segmentation method consisting of two procedures was applied.First,a color space conversion was performed automatically by an image-processing algorithm.Then,the K-means clustering algorithm was applied to enable the segmentation of the wetness area on the thermal image.Subsequently,to enable overall thermal image analysis,an initial leaf wetness threshold(LWT)of 5%was defined(where wetness values higher than 5%indicated that the leaf was in a wet state).The results of comparative experiments conducted using thermal images of plant leaves captured using an infrared scanning camera and human visual observation indicated that the estimated LWD values were generally higher than the observed LWD values,because slight leaf wetness condensations were overlooked by the human eye but detected by the infrared scanning camera.While these differences were not found to be statistically significant in this study,the proposed method for determining LWD using thermal infrared imaging may provide a new LWD detection method for cucumber and other plants grown in solar greenhouses. | Dongmei Wen Aixin Ren Tao Ji Isabel Maria Flores-Parra Xinting Yang Ming Li | 2020 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2020,13,3: | 3 |
| 13 | Multiple air route crossing waypoints optimization via artificial potential field method显示文摘Air route crossing waypoint optimization is one of the effective ways to improve airspace utilization,capacity and resilience in dealing with air traffic congestion and delay.However,research is lacking on the optimization of multiple Crossing Waypoints(CWPs)in the fragmented airspace separated by Prohibited,Restricted and Dangerous areas(PRDs).To tackle this issue,this paper proposes an Artificial Potential Field(APF)model considering attractive forces produced by the optimal routes and repulsive forces generated by obstacles.An optimization framework based on the APF model is proposed to optimize the different airspace topologies varying the number of CWPs,air route segments and PRDs.Based on the framework,an adaptive method is developed to dynamically control the optimization process in minimizing the total air route cost.The proposed model is applied to a busy controlled airspace.And the obtained results show that after optimization the safety-related indicators:conflict number and controller workload reduced by 7.75%and 6.51%respectively.As for the cost-effectiveness indicators:total route length,total air route cost and non-linear coefficient,declined by 1.74%,3.13%and 1.70%respectively.While the predictability indicator,total flight delay,saw a notable reduction by 7.96%.The proposed framework and methodology can also provide an insight in the understanding of the optimization to other network systems. | Bizhao PANG Wei DAI Xinting HU Fuqing DAI Kin Huat LOW | 2021 | Chinese Journal of Aeronautics2021,34,4: | 3 |
| 14 | Choroidal thickness and choriocapillaris vascular density in myopic anisometropia显示文摘Background:This study aims to examine interocular differences in the choroidal thickness and vascular density of the choriocapillaris in anisometropic myopes and to further explore the relationship between choroidal blood flow and myopia.Methods:The sample comprised 44 participants with anisometropic myopia,aged 9 to 18 years,with normal bestcorrected visual acuity.All participants underwent a series of examinations,including spherical equivalent refraction(SER)and axial length(AL),measured by a Lenstar optical biometer and optical coherence tomography angiography(OCTA)scanner.OCT measured the choroidal thickness,vascular density,and flow voids of the choriocapillaris,and a customized algorithm was implemented in MATLAB R2017a with the post-correction of AL.The choroidal thickness was measured at the fovea and 0.5,1.0,1.5,2.0,2.5,and 3.0 mm nasally,temporally,inferiorly,and superiorly to the fovea.The vascular density and the flow voids of the choriocapillaris were measured at a 0.6-mm-diameter central circle,and the 0.6-2.5 mm diameter circle in the nasal,temporal,inferior,and superior regions.Repeated-measured ANOVAs were used to analyze the interocular differences.Partial correlations with the K value and age adjustments were used to study the relationships between the choroidal thickness,the choriocapillaris vascular density and flow voids,the SER and AL.Results:The choroidal thickness of the more myopic eyes was significantly thinner than less myopic eyes(P≤0.001),and the flow voids in the more myopic eyes were more than less myopic eyes(P=0.002).There was no significant difference in the vascular density of the choriocapillaris between the more and less myopic eyes(P=0.525).However,when anisometropia was more than 1.50 D,the vascular density of choriocapillaris in the more myopic eyes was significantly less than the less myopic eyes(P=0.026).The interocular difference of the choroidal thickness was significantly correlated with the interocular difference in SER and AL in the center,superior,and inferior regions but not in the nasal or temporal regions.The interocular differences of the vascular density and the flow voids of the choriocapillaris were not correlated with the interocular difference of SER and AL.Conclusions:The choroidal thickness is thinner in the more myopic eyes.The flow void is increased,and the vascular density of the choriocapillaris is reduced in the more myopic eyes of children with anisometropia exceeding 1.50 D. | Xinting Liu Zhiyi Lin Feifu Wang Xiaoyi Peng Wenwen He Dan Chen Meixiao Shen Fan Lu Jun Jiang | 2021 | Eye and Vision2021,8,1: | 3 |

| 16 | Comparative mitochondrial genome analysis of Varunidae and its phylogenetic implications显示文摘Complete mitochondrial genomes(mitogenomes)can indicate phylogenetic relationships,as well as useful information for gene rearrangement mechanisms and molecular evolution.Currently,the phylogenetic location of the genus Varuna(Brachyura:Varunidae)has not been well resolved mainly because of limited representatives(only two extant species).Here,we determined a new mitogenome of this genus(Varuna litterata)and added the published mitogenomes to reconstruct the phylogeny of Varunidae.The 16368-bp mitogenome contains the entire set of 37 genes and a putative control region.The characteristics of this newly sequenced mitogenome were described and compared with the other 15 Varunidae mitogenomes.All 16 analyzed mitogenomes have identical gene order and similar molecular features.The sliding window and genetic distance analyses demonstrate highly variable nucleotide diversity,with comparatively low variability of COI and COII,and high variability of ND6.The nonsynonymous/synonymous substitution rates(dN/dS ratio)analysis shows that all 13 PCGs are under purifying selection and ATP8 gene evolves under the least selective pressure.Twelve tRNA genes,two rRNAs,one PCG,and the putative control region are found to be rearranged with respect to the pancrustacean ground pattern gene order.Tandem duplication/random loss model is adopted to explain the large-scale gene rearrangement events occurring in Varunidae mitogenomes.Phylogenetic analyses show that all Varunidae species are placed into one group,and form a sister clade with Macrophthalmidae.Nevertheless,the phylogenetic relationships within Varunidae are not completely consistent based on the two different datasets used in this study.These findings will contribute to a better understanding of gene rearrangement and molecular evolution in Varunidae mitogenomes,as well as provide insights into the phylogenetic studies of Brachyura. | Ying Zhang Li Gong Xinting Lu Zengliang Miao Lihua Jiang Bingjian Liu Liqin Liu Pengfei Li Xu Zhang Zhenming Lü | 2022 | Acta Oceanologica Sinica2022,41,6: | 2 |

| 19 | Development and test verification of air temperature model for Chinese solar and Spainish Almeria-type greenhouses显示文摘Growth can be defined as an increment in biomass or an increment in weight or height of the organs of the plant influenced by physiological processes.Many of these processes have their limits genetically determined,but climate and irrigation play an important role.Because of its importance,microclimate has been extensively studied in the modeling as a surrounding condition which is imposed by the exterior climate.The main objective of this work was to develop a temperature model based on the energy balance dynamics at two different greenhouse locations-South-eastern Spain and Northern China,and the traditional structures of Chinese solar greenhouse and Almería-type multi-span greenhouse were taken into account.The final model was developed by combining the external conditions,the actuator influence and the crop growth,where the temperature is influenced by soil,crop,cover,actuators,back wall and greenhouse geometry.The model took into account the energy lost by convective and conductive fluxes,as well as the energy supplied by solar radiation and heating systems.The soil and the back wall are the main media for energy storage.The temperature dynamic was determined by a physical model,which considered the energy balance from a holistic point of view-as a sub-model for a customizable interface among the external climate,the plant and the greenhouse system.The influences of different subsystems included in the temperature model were analyzed and evaluated.The results showed a high R^(2)value of 0.94 for Beijing and 0.95 for Almeria,and the average error was low,of which the MAE and RMSE were 0.71 and 1.365 for Almeria and 0.62 and 1.102 for Beijing,respectively.Thus,the model can be considered as a powerful tool for control design purposes in microclimate systems. | Jorge Antonio Sanchez-Molina Li Ming Francisco Rodriguez Jose Luis Guzman Wang Hui Yang Xinting | 2017 | International Journal of Agricultural and Biological Engineering2017,10,4: | 2 |
