1Prototype for 5G New Air Interface Technology SCMA and Performance Evaluation显示文摘Sparse code multiple access(SCMA) is a novel non-orthogonal multiple access scheme proposed to meet the challenging demand of the future 5G communications, especially in support of the massive connections. The coded bits from each data stream will be directly mapped as multi-dimensional SCMA codeword in complex domain and then spread onto the physical resource elements in a sparse manner. The number of codewords that can be nonorthogonally multiplexed in one SCMA block can be made much larger than the number of orthogonal resource elements therein, resulting in an overloaded system. The sparsity in the spreading pattern and the design in the multidimensional modulator jointly ensure the SCMA codewords can be robustly decoded with low complexity. In this paper, we focus on the low complexity receiver design and verified the superior of an SCMA system via simulations and real-time prototyping. 4Consumer acceptability and sensory profiling of sesame oils obtained from different processes显示文摘This study aimed to investigate the effect of oil processing technologies on the sensory qualities of sesame oils and to identify drivers of liking.Using a check-all-that-apply(CATA)question and a hedonic scale,150 consumers evaluated the acceptability and sensory characteristics of 5 sesame oil samples including an aqueous extracted oil(S1),a cold-pressed oil(S2),two batches of screw-pressed oils(S3 and S5)and one crude sesame oil(S4).Solid-phase microextraction-gas chromatography-olfactometry-mass spectrometry(SPME-GC-O-MS)was used to identify odour-active compounds.The results showed that roasting,extraction techniques and filtration process influenced sensory perception and the acceptability of sesame oils.Consumers liked roasted sesame oils more than the cold-pressed sesame oil and liked the aqueous extracted sesame oil the most.Sensory attributes'sweet smell','mellow','roasted','nutty','persistent','high-intense flavour'and'cooked sesame seed flavour'were drivers of liking,while'green','raw sesame seed','rancid','woody'and'fishy'were drivers of disliking.'Burnt'flavour was liked by some while disliked by others.Pyrazines contributed to roasted flavour;2-acetylpyrrole,acetophenone and furfural contributed to nutty flavour;2-pentyl-furan,5-methyl-2-furancarboxaldehyde,and 2-phenyl-2-butenal contributed to sweet odour in the roasted sesame seeds.Nonanal,hexanal,1-hexanol and ocimene were responsible for the'green'flavour perceived in the cold-pressed oil.This study provides valuable information for sesame manufacturers on how to improve the sensory qualities of sesame oils through process manipulation to meet the needs of diverse consumers.Wenting Yin Maradza Washington Xueting Ma Xi Yang Aliu Lu Rui Shi Renyong Zhao Xuede Wang 2020Grain & Oil Science and Technology2020,3,2:5
5C:N:P stoichiometry of Ericaceae species in shrubland biomes across Southern China:influences of climate,soil and species identity显示文摘Aims Carbon(C),nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)stoichiometry strongly affect functions and nutrient cycling within ecosystems.However,the related researches in shrubs were very limited.In this study,we aimed to inves-tigate leaf stoichiometry and its driving factors in shrubs,and whether stoichiometry significantly differs among closely related species.Methods We analyzed leaf C,N and P concentrations and their ratios in 32 species of Ericaceae from 161 sites across southern China.We examined the relationships of leaf stoichiometry with environmen-tal variables using linear regressions,and quantified the interactive and independent effects of climate,soil and species on foliar stoi-chiometry using general linear models(GLM).Important Findings The foliar C,N and P contents of Ericaceae were 484.66,14.44 and 1.06 mg g−1,respectively.Leaf C,N and P concentrations and their ratios in Ericaceae were significantly related with latitude and altitude,except the N:P insignificantly correlated with latitude.Climate(mean annual temperature and precipitation)and soil properties(soil C,N and P and bulk density)were significantly influenced element stoichiom-etry.The GLM analysis showed that soil exerted a greater direct effect on leaf stoichiometry than climate did,and climate affected leaf traits mainly via indirect ways.Further,soil properties had stronger influ-ences on leaf P than on leaf C and N.Among all independent factors examined,we found species accounted for the largest proportion of the variation in foliar stoichiometry.These results suggest that species can largely influence foliar stoichiometry,even at a lower taxonomic level.Qiang Zhang Qing Liu Huajun Yin Chunzhang Zhao Lin Zhang Guoying Zhou Chunying Yin Zhijun Lu Gaoming Xiong Yuelin Li Jiaxiang Li Wenting Xu Zhiyao Tang Zongqiang Xie 2019Journal of Plant Ecology2019,12,2:4
6Fish transplantation and stress-related biomarkers as useful tools for assessing water quality显示文摘The active biomonitoring (ABM) approach was investigated using species of indigenous (from a pristine site) and transplanted (to a polluted area) fish Carassius auratus as an indicator organism of water/sediment pollution in Taihu Lake, a highly urbanized and industrialized area. The biotransformation enzymes 7-ethoxyresorufin-O-deethylase (EROD), reduced glutathione (GSH) content, catalase activities (CAT) and lipoperoxidation (as MDA) in liver were determined as stress-related biomarkers during the field exposure period. At the same time, the contents of polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs), polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs), organochlorine pesticides (OCPs) and heavy metals in the surface sediments of biomonitoring sites were also determined. The results indicate that the in situ exposed organisms were stressed. The marked increases of EROD, GSH, CAT and MDA in transplanted animals, suggested their potential application as biomarkers in pollution monitoring. 7Therapeutic window of Qingkailing injection for focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion injury显示文摘The time window in which a drug is effective varies between drugs. The present study investigated the therapeutic window of Qingkailing injection for focal cerebral ischemia/reperfusion in mice. Animals underwent middle cerebral artery occlusion and were injected with Qingkailing (1.5, 3, 6 mL/kg). Infarct volume and neurological function were assessed after 24 hours of ischemia. In addition, to establish the therapeutic time window, mice were injected with 3 mL/kg Qingkailing at 0, 1, 3, 4, 6, 9 and 12 hours after occlusion. 8Estrogenic effects of water from the Yangtze River (Nanjing section) on goldfish (Carassius auratus) after an early life stage exposure显示文摘Effects of river water from the Yangtze River (Nanjing section) on fish development, vitellogenin (VTG) induction, gonado-somatic index (GSI) and sex ratio were investigated by exposing goldfish (Carassius auratus) in the early life stage (from fertilization to 28 days post-hatch) to water samples (25%, 50% and 100%) collected from three representative sections. The results showed that there was no significant effect on hatching success for any of the exposure groups, but survival was significantly reduced when compared with the control (P < 0.05). Body lengths, weights of all treated fish did not differ significantly from those of the control. Condition factors (CF) of larval fish exposed to 50% and 100% river water from the Jiangxinzhou section and 100% river water from the Daqiao section were significantly lower than that of the control (P< 0.05). VTG inductions were significant in larval fish exposed to all the dilution series of river water. No significant difference in CF value was observed in any exposure group after 150 days of depuration. VTG was fully eliminated after 75 days of depuration. For both female and male, GSI did not significantly differ between exposure groups and the control after 150 days of convalescence. The highest female:male ratios were observed in response to the treatment with 50% or 100% river water from the Jiangxinzhou section and 100% river water from the Daqiao section (53:47, 56:44 and 54:46, respectively), but no significant difference in sex ratio was observed in any treated group when compared to the control. The results showed that early life stage exposure of river water from the Yangtze River (Nanjing section) had adverse effects on goldfish development and reproductive health, and the effects on CF and VTG were reversible after depuration in clean water.Wenting Song Guanghua Lu Pengde Qi Chao Wang 2011Journal of Environmental Sciences2011,23,7:2
9The effect of tensile and fluid shear stress on the in vitro degradation of magnesium alloy for stent applications显示文摘Magnesium alloys have gained great attention as biodegradable materials for stent applications.Cardiovascular stents are continuously exposed to different types of mechanical loadings simultaneously during service,including tensile,compressive and fluid shear stress.In this study,the in vitro degradation of WE43 wires was investigated under combined effect of tensile loading and fluid shear stress and compared with that experienced an individual loading condition.For the individual mechanical loading treatment,the degradation of magnesium wires was more severely affected by tensile loading than fluid shear stress.Under tensile loading,magnesium wires showed faster increment of corrosion rates,loss of mechanical properties and localized corrosion morphology with the increasing tensile loadings.With the combined stress,smaller variation of the corrosion rates as well as the slower strength degeneration was shown with increasing stress levels,in comparison with the individual treatment of tensile loading.This study could help to understand the effect of complex stress condition on the corrosion of magnesium for the optimization of biodegradable magnesium stents.Xue-Nan Gu Yun Lu Fan Wang Wenting Lin Ping Li Yubo Fan 2018Bioactive Materials2018,3,4:2

13Cerebral small vessel disease caused by PLOD3 mutation:Expanding the phenotypic spectrum of lysyl hydroxylase-3 deficiency显示文摘Introduction:Pathogenic variants inPLOD3,encoding lysyl hydroxylase-3(LH3),can cause a hereditary connective tissue disorder that has rarely been reported.It is a multi-system disease,presenting with craniofacial dysmorphisms,skeletal and eye manifestations,sensorineural hearing loss,and variable skin manifestations.Severe central nervous system involvement has not been reported.Case presentation:A 10-month-old girl was admitted with development delay and clustered epileptic spasms.Hypertelorism,an upturned nose,and low-set ears were noted in physical examination.Cerebral magnetic resonance imaging showed multiple intracranial malacias and bleeding foci,extensive abnormal signals in the white matter,and obvious brain atrophy,which was consistent with cerebral small vessel disease(SVD).Electroencephalography suggested hypsarrhythmia.The vertebrae were flattened.The distal end of the metacarpal bone in the left hand was irregular.She was diagnosed with West syndrome.Whole-exome sequencing revealed a novel homozygous variant of c.12161218delCTC(p.L406del)inPLOD3,which was found to be inherited from her heterozygous parents.Conclusion:We report a patient with pathogenicPLOD3 mutation who presented with cerebral SVD.This report expands the phenotypic spectrum of LH3 deficiency.Ji Zhou Weixing Feng Xiuwei Zhuo Wenting Lu Junling Wang Fang Fang Xiaohui Wang 2022Pediatric Investigation2022,6,3:0

15A new method to prepare calcium oxalate films for marble protection显示文摘Artificial calcium oxalate films have been applied to protect sculptures,monuments,and buildings made of marble due to their potential protective capacities.Unfortunately,artificially prepared calcium oxalate films are usually loose,and easy to peel off in contrast to the natural ones.In this paper,a new method was developed for the preparation of a compact and cohesive calcium oxalate film,using ethylene glycol as an additive.The morphology,elemental composition,structure,and crystal phase of the film were analyzed by SEM,EDX,IR,and XRD,and the protective effects were investigated by acid resistance test,while its adhesion to the underlying marble by the Scotch tape test.The porosity,water absorption,and color of treated marble were also assessed.The results showed that a calcium oxalate film with a compact structure,good adhesion,and a protective effect against acid rain can be successfully obtained by including ethylene glycol as an additive.With the new preparation method,a better bond between the stone and the film is obtained which contributes to solving the spalling problem of the artificial calcium oxalate films.HE Lu JIANG YiJie MA WenTing LIU Yan YANG FuWei LU RuiCong WANG Lu ZHANG Kun CHEN XinNan GAO Xiang 2023Science China(Technological Sciences)2023,66,8:0
16Correlation between human seizure-related gene 6 variants and idiopathic generalized epilepsy in a Southern Chinese Han population显示文摘This study sought to analyze the genotype and gene mutations of human seizure-related gene 6 in 98 patients with idiopathic generalized epilepsy (non-febrile seizures), who were selected from three generations of the Chinese Han population living in Shanghai, Zhejiang Province, Wuxi of Jiangsu Province, and Jiangxi Province of Southern China. Twenty-six patients' parents were available as a first-degree relatives group and 100 biologically unrelated healthy controls were collected as the control group. Based on the age of onset and seizure type, the patients were divided into six subgroups. Polymerase chain reaction and DNA direct sequencing analysis showed that the most frequent mutations c.1249dupC (p.Gly418Argfx31) and c.1636A > G (p.Thr546Ala) were detected in some idiopathic generalized epilepsy patients and their asymptomatic first-degree relatives (30.6% vs. 19.2% and 11.2% vs. 26.9%). A novel mutation c.1807G > A (p.Val603Met) was found in a patient with late-onset idiopathic generalized epilepsy. There was no significant difference in the incidence of these three mutations among the different subgroups of idiopathic generalized epilepsy and controls. 17The existence of a nonclassical TCA cycle in the nucleus that wires the metabolic-epigenetic circuitry显示文摘The scope and variety of the metabolic intermediates from the mitochondrial tricarboxylic acid(TCA)cycle that are engaged in epigenetic regulation of the chromatin function in the nucleus raise an outstanding question about how timely and precise supply/consumption of these metabolites is achieved in the nucleus.We report here the identification of a nonclassical TCA cycle in the nucleus(nTCA cycle).We found that all the TCA cycle-associated enzymes including citrate synthase(CS),aconitase 2(ACO2),isocitrate dehydrogenase 3(IDH3),oxoglutarate dehydrogenase(OGDH),succinyl-CoA synthetase(SCS),fumarate hydratase(FH),and malate dehydrogenase 2(MDH2),except for succinate dehydrogenase(SDH),a component of electron transport chain for generating ATP,exist in the nucleus.We showed that these nuclear enzymes catalyze an incomplete TCA cycle similar to that found in cyanobacteria.We propose that the nTCA cycle is implemented mainly to generate/consume metabolic intermediates,not for energy production.We demonstrated that the nTCA cycle is intrinsically linked to chromatin dynamics and transcription regulation.Together,our study uncovers the existence of a nonclassical TCA cycle in the nucleus that links the metabolic pathway to epigenetic regulation.Xujun Liu Wenzhe Si Lin He Jianguo Yang Yani Peng Jie Ren Xiaoping Liu Tong Jin Huajing Yu Zihan Zhang Xiao Cheng Wenting Zhang Lu Xia Yunchao Huang Yue Wang Shumeng Liu Lin Shan Yu Zhang Xiaohan Yang Haixia Li Jing Liang Luyang Sun Yongfeng Shang 2021Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2021,6,12:0

19Therapeutic potential of an anti-HER2 single chain antibody-DM1 conjugates for the treatment of HER2-positive cancer显示文摘Antibody–drug conjugates(ADCs)take the advantage of monoclonal antibodies to selectively deliver highly potent cytotoxic drugs to tumor cells,which have become a powerful measure for cancer treatment in recent years.To develop a more effective therapy for human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)-positive cancer,we explored a novel ADCs composed of anti-HER2 scFv–HSA fusion antibodies conjugates with a potent cytotoxic drug DM1.The resulting ADCs,T-SA1–DM1 and T-SA2–DM1(drug-to-antibody ratio in the range of 3.2–3.5)displayed efficient inhibition in the growth of HER2-positive tumor cell lines and the half-maximal inhibitory concentration on SKBR-3 and SKOV3 cells were both at the nanomolar levels in vitro.In HER2-positive human ovarian cancer xenograft models,T-SA1–DM1 and T-SA2–DM1 also showed remarkable antitumor activity.Importantly,three out of six mice exhibited complete remission without regrowth in the high-dose group of T-SA1–DM1.On the basis of the analysis of luminescence imaging,anti-HER2 scFv–HSA fusion antibodies,especially T-SA1,showed strong and rapid tumor tissue penetrability and distribution compared with trastuzumab.Collectively,the novel type of ADCs is effective and selective targeting to HER2-positive cancer,and may be a promising antitumor drug candidate for further studies.Hang Zhang Yuxi Wang Yangping Wu Xiaohua Jiang Yiran Tao Yuqin Yao Yujia Peng Xiangzheng Chen Yuyin Fu Lin Yu Ruixue Wang Qinhuai Lai Weirong Lai Wenting Li Yuhuan Kang Shuli Yi Ying Lu Lantu Gou Min Wu Jinliang Yang 2017Signal Transduction and Targeted Therapy2017,2,1:0
20Dielectric and ferroelectric properties of CuO-doped lead magnesium niobate-based relaxor ferroelectric ceramics显示文摘In this work,we report the dielectric and ferroelectric properties of CuO-doped(1-x)[0.5573Pb(Mg_(1/3)Nb_(2/3))O_(3)-0.4427PbTiO_(3)]-xBa(Zn_(1/3)Nb_(2/3))_(3)(PMNT-xBZN)relaxor ferrielectric ceramic samples with x=0.1725,0.1925,02125 and 0.2325,which were fabricated by a conventional solid-state reaction method.By introducing the CuO into PMNT-xBZN,the sintering temperature of this system is drastically lowered from 1280℃to 1120℃.The second pyrochlore phase,which is often generated during sintering at high temperature,is also inhibited.Meanwhile,broad dielectric peaks with strong dielectric relaxation characteristics are observed from150℃to 100℃.Slim and slanted P-E hysteresis loops and purely electrostrictive strains with V-shape are obtained simultaneously in studied compositions from 30℃to 150℃.These results suggest that CuO could effectively lower the sintering temperature while maintaining the dielectric and ferroelectric properties of PMNT-xBZN relaxor ferroelectric ceramics.Li Jin Jing Pang Yunyao Huang Wenting Luo Xu Lu Xiaoyong Wei 2019Journal of Advanced Dielectrics2019,9,4:0
