1High-sum-rate beamformers for multi-pair two-way relay networks with amplify-and-forward relaying strategy显示文摘In multi-pair two-way relay networks,the control over inter-pair-interference is a challenging problem.When mobile stations(MSs)cooperate fully,to achieve the sum capacity of networks and at the same time completely remove the inter-pair-interference,a singular value decomposition(SVD)based beamforming scheme at relay station(RS)is established where SVD beamformers are applied over both uplink and downlink channels,respectively.To avoid any cooperation among users,an efcient beamforming scheme is proposed.This scheme uses the Max-SINR based receive beamformer at RS in uplink channel and the Max-SLNR based transmit precoder at RS in downlink channel.It omits interference(uplink)and leakage(donwlink)inside each pair of users due to their abilities of self-interference cancellation.This beamforming scheme provides an analytical solution like some well-known linear beamformers such as zero-forcing,block diagonalization,etc.From simulation,we find:the proposed SVD shows an excellent sum-rate performance at the expense of a large cooperation overhead at MSs and can be used as a tighter upper bound of sum-rate;the proposed scheme of Max-SINR beamformer plus Max-SLNR precoder performs much better on sum-rate than the ZF-based and the BD-based schemes by using almost the same computational amount.SHU Feng LU YaZhe CHEN Yu YOU XiaoHu WANG JianXin WANG Mao SHENG WeiXing CHEN Qian 2014Science China(Information Sciences)2014,57,2:15
2Modeling the global ionospheric total electron content with empirical orthogonal function analysis显示文摘In the present work we model the global ionospheric total electron content (TEC) with the analysis of empirical orthogonal functions (EOF). The obtained statistical eigen modes, which makeup the modeled TEC, consist of two factors: the eigen vectors mapping TEC patterns at latitude and longitude (or local time LT), and the corresponding coefficients displaying the TEC variations in different time scales, i.e., the solar cycle, the yearly (annual and semiannual) and the diurnal universal time variations. It is found that the EOF analysis can separate the TEC variations into chief processes and the first two modes illustrate the most of the ionospheric climate properties. The first mode contains both the semiannual component which shows the semiannual ionospheric anomaly and the annual component which shows the annual or non-seasonal ionospheric anomaly. The second mode contains mainly the annual component and shows the normal seasonal ionospheric variation at most latitudes and local time sectors. The annual component in the second mode also manifests seasonal anomaly of the ionosphere at higher mid-latitudes around noontime. 4Ultra-stable super-resolution fluorescence cryo-microscopy for correlative light and electron cryo-microscopy显示文摘Remarkable progress in correlative light and electron cryo-microscopy(cryo-CLEM) has been made in the past decade. A crucial component for cryo-CLEM is a dedicated cryo-fluorescence microscope(cryo-FM). Here, we describe an ultra-stable superresolution cryo-FM that exhibits excellent thermal and mechanical stability. The temperature fluctuations in 10 h are less than0.06 K, and the mechanical drift over 5 h is less than 200 nm in three dimensions. We have demonstrated the super-resolution imaging capability of this system(average single molecule localization accuracy of ~13.0 nm). 6Preliminary experimental results by the prototype of Sanya Incoherent Scatter Radar显示文摘In the past decades,the Incoherent Scatter Radar(ISR)has been demonstrated to be one of the most powerful instruments for ionosphere monitoring.The Institute of Geology and Geophysics at the Chinese Academy of Sciences was founded to build a state-ofthe-art phased-array ISR at Sanya(18.3°N,109.6°E),a low-latitude station on Hainan Island,named the Sanya ISR(SYISR).As a first step,a prototype radar system consisting of eight subarrays(SYISR-8)was built to reduce the technical risk of producing the entire large array.In this work,we have summarized the preliminary experimental results based on the SYISR-8.The amplitude and phase among 256 channels were first calibrated through an embedded internal monitoring network.The mean oscillation of the amplitude and phase after calibration were about 1 dB and 5°,respectively,which met the basic requirements.The beam directivity was confirmed by crossing screen of the International Space Station.The SYISR-8 was further used to detect the tropospheric wind profile and meteors.The derived winds were evaluated by comparison with independent radiosonde and balloon-based GPS measurements.The SYISR-8 was able to observe several typical meteor echoes,such as the meteor head echo,range-spread trail echo,and specular trail echo.These results confirmed the validity and reliability of the SYISR-8 system,thereby reducing the technical risk of producing the entire large array of the SYISR to some extent.XinAn Yue WeiXing Wan Han Xiao LingQi Zeng ChangHai Ke BaiQi Ning Feng Ding BiQiang Zhao Lin Jin Chen Li MingYuan Li JunYi Wang HongLian Hao Ning Zhang 2020Earth and Planetary Physics2020,4,6:3

9Monitoring traveling ionospheric disturbances using the GPS network around China during the geomagnetic storm on 28 May 2011显示文摘Larger-scale traveling ionospheric disturbances (LSTIDs) are studied using the total electron content (TEC) data observed from 246 GPS receivers in and around China during the medium storm on 28 May 2011. It is the first attempt to get the two-dimensional TEC perturbation maps in China. Two LSTID events are detected: one is in southwestern China before midnight propagating from low to middle latitude to the distance of about 1200 km with the phase front extending to about 500 km, and the other is in northeastern China after midnight propagating from middle to low latitudes to the distance of about 1200 km with the phase front extending to nearly 1400 km. By using the multichannel maximum-entropy method, we get the propagation parameters of these two LSTIDs. The LSTID that occurs before midnight has a higher horizontal phase velocity and a larger damping rate corresponding to the after midnight LSTID, and this may be caused by the relatively large vertical background TEC 0 and high atmospheric temperature in the southwest of China before midnight. According to the variations of magnetic H component observed in high latitudes, the source region for the after midnight LSTID is likely to be located 1400-2600 km east of 140°E and north of 42°N; the before midnight LSTID is propably excited by the atmospheric gravity waves (AGWs) generated by the Joule heating of the equatorial electrojet.SONG Qian DING Feng WAN WeiXing NING BaiQi ZHAO BiQiang 2013Science China Earth Sciences2013,56,5:2
10Clinical analysis of CHD2 gene mutations in pediatric patients with epilepsy显示文摘Importance:CHD2 is a member of the chromodomain helicase DNA-binding(CHD)family of proteins,which have important roles in the regulation of gene expression.Dysregulation of this protein may lead to various disorders.Objective:To delineate the genotypes and phenotypes of CHD2-related epilepsy.Methods:We analyzed the medical history,magnetic resonance imaging findings,and video-electroencephalogram recordings of 17 patients withCHD2 mutations in the Neurology Department of Beijing Children’s Hospital from June 2016 to June 2021.Results:Age at seizure onset ranged from 6 months to 10 years;the median age at onset was 4 years.Generalized tonic-clonic,myoclonic,eyelid myoclonic,atonic,atypical absence,myoclonic-atonic,and spasm seizures were observed.Ten of the 17 patients had multiple types of seizures.One patient exhibited photosensitivity epilepsy and one patient exhibited grid image-induced visual reflex epilepsy.Developmental disability was present in 14 patients,while autism features were present in five patients.Sixteen patients hadde novo mutations ofCHD2;one patient had an inherited variant.Eleven mutations were novel.One patient had two mutations;that patient exhibited development delay and refractory epilepsy.Seizures were controlled in eight patients,improved in seven patients,and resistant to treatment in two patients.Interpretation:Phenotype severity in patients withCHD2 variants ranged from drug-responsive seizures to severe epileptic encephalopathy.Most patients exhibited developmental disorders.Weixing Feng Fang Fang Xiaohui Wang Chunhong Chen Junlan Lu Jie Deng 2022Pediatric Investigation2022,6,2:2

12GPS detection of the coseismic ionospheric disturbances following the 12 May 2008 M7.9 Wenchuan earthquake in China显示文摘Here we report two cases of coseismic ionospheric disturbances observed through a GPS network in China after the great Wenchuan earthquake at 06:28 UT on 12 May,2008.One is detected 7.9 min after the earthquake and had an intensive'N'shape oscillated waveform with a pronounced amplitude of about 1 TECU,which propagates approximately southward to the distance about 1000 km with the horizontal phase velocity of 600±84 m/s and the period of 9.5±1.3 min.The other is detected8.5 min after the earthquake and has an oscillated waveform more like a positive pulse with an amplitude of about 0.5 TECU,which propagates eastward to the distance about 800 km with the horizontal phase velocity of 720±59 m/s and the period of7.4±0.8 min.These two coseismic ionospheric disturbances are caused by the acoustic gravity waves excited by partial transformation of the acoustic waves originated from the energy release of the earthquake,somewhere near the epicenter.The directional preferences of these two coseismic ionospheric disturbances may be associated with the oblique geomagnetic field lines and the background winds filtering effect.SONG Qian DING Feng YU Tao WAN WeiXing NING BaiQi LIU LiBo ZHAO BiQiang 2015Science China Earth Sciences2015,58,1:2
13Automatic video mosaicking algorithm via dynamic key-frame显示文摘Automatic video mosaicking is a challenging task in computer vision. Current researches consider either panoramic or mapping tasks on short videos. In this paper, an automatic mosaicking algorithm is proposed for both mapping and panoramic tasks based on the adapted key-frame on videos of any length.The speeded up robust features(SURF) and the grid motion statistic(GMS) algorithm are used for feature extraction and matching between consecutive frames, which are used to compute the transformation. In order to reduce the influence of the accumulated error during image stitching, an evaluation metric is put forward for the transformation matrix. Besides, a self-growth method is employed to stitch the global image for long videos. The algorithm is evaluated by using aerial-view and panoramic videos respectively on the graphic processing unit(GPU) device, which can satisfy the real-time requirement. 15Multi-Object Tracking with Micro Aerial Vehicle显示文摘A simple yet efficient tracking framework is proposed for real-time multi-object tracking with micro aerial vehicles(MAVs). It's basic missions for MAVs to detect specific targets and then track them automatically. In our method, candidate regions are generated using the salient detection in each frame and then classified by an eural network. A kernelized correlation filter(KCF) is employed to track each target until it disappears or the peak-sidelobe ratio is lower than a threshold. Besides, we define the birth and death of each tracker for the targets. The tracker is recycled if its target disappears and can be assigned to a new target. The algorithm is evaluated on the PAFISS and UAV123 datasets. 17Chinese patients with p.Arg756 mutations of ATP1A3: Clinical manifestations, treatment, and follow-up显示文摘Importance:The phenotypes of ATP1A3 gene mutations are diverse.Relapsing encephalopathy with cerebellar ataxia and fever-induced paroxysmal weakness and encephalopathy(FIPWE)are considered non-classical phenotypes caused by p.Arg756 mutations of ATP1A3.Objective:To summarize the clinical manifestations,treatment,and followup of Chinese patients with p.Arg756 mutations of ATP1A3.Methods:We analyzed the clinical features,treatment,and genotypes of eight children with p.Arg756 mutations of ATP1A3 who were treated in Beijing Children’s Hospital from January 2014 to December 2019.Results:Eight patients(six boys and two girls)were included;seven had been misdiagnosed with encephalitis.The age of onset ranged from 0.8 to 4.5 years.All patients had encephalopathy and had at least one episode of FIPWE.Cerebellar ataxia was present in nine episodes.Reversible splenial lesions of the corpus callosum were found in two patients in the acute phase.Three types of heterozygous ATP1A3 mutations were found:c.2267G>T(p.R756L)(patient 3[P3]),c.2266C>T(p.R756C)(P2 and P4),and c.2267G>A(p.R756H)(P1,P5,P6,P7,and P8).Six mutations were de novo;two mutations were inherited.Both patients with p.R756C and one patient(P7)with p.R756H had four episodes of severe ataxia as the main manifestations.However,in the other three episodes,limb weakness was more prominent than ataxia.P5 with p.R756H exhibited overlap with FIPWE and rapid-onset dystonia-parkinsonism.Interpretation:Acute encephalopathy followed by febrile disease was characteristic of the disease in patients with p.Arg756 mutations of ATP1A3.However,the weakness and ataxia were variable.Phenotypic crossover and overlap were observed among these patients.Weihua Zhang Jiuwei Li Xiuwei Zhuo Ji Zhou Weixing Feng Shuai Gong Xiaotun Ren Changhong Ding Tongli Han Fang Fang 2022Pediatric Investigation2022,6,1:1
