| 1 | Automated pavement horizontal curve measurement methods based on inertial measurement unit and 3D profiling data显示文摘Pavement horizontal curve is designed to serve as a transition between straight segments,and its presence may cause a series of driving-related safety issues to motorists and drivers.As is recognized that traditional methods for curve geometry investigation are time consuming,labor intensive,and inaccurate,this study attempts to develop a method that can automatically conduct horizontal curve identification and measurement at network level.The digital highway data vehicle(DHDV) was utilized for data collection,in which three Euler angles,driving speed,and acceleration of survey vehicle were measured with an inertial measurement unit(IMU).The 3D profiling data used for cross slope calibration was obtained with PaveVision3 D Ultra technology at 1 mm resolution.In this study,the curve identification was based on the variation of heading angle,and the curve radius was calculated with kinematic method,geometry method,and lateral acceleration method.In order to verify the accuracy of the three methods,the analysis of variance(ANOVA) test was applied by using the control variable of curve radius measured by field test.Based on the measured curve radius,a curve safety analysis model was used to predict the crash rates and safe driving speeds at horizontal curves.Finally,a case study on 4.35 km road segment demonstrated that the proposed method could efficiently conduct network level analysis. | Wenting Luo Lin Li Kelvin C.P.Wang | 2016 | Journal of Traffic and Transportation Engineering(English Edition)2016,3,2: | 8 |
| 2 | Characterization of the soybean Gm ALMT family genes and the function of Gm ALMT5 in response to phosphate starvation显示文摘A potential mechanism to enhance utilization of sparingly soluble forms of phosphorus(P) is the root secretion of malate, which is mainly mediated by the ALMT gene family in plants. In this study, a total of 34 Gm ALMT genes were identified in the soybean genome. Expression patterns diverged considerably among Gm ALMTs in response to phosphate(Pi) starvation in leaves, roots and flowers, with expression altered by P availability in 26 of the 34 Gm ALMTs. One root-specific Gm ALMT whose expression was significantly enhanced by Pi-starvation,Gm ALMT_5, was studied in more detail to determine its possible role in soybean P nutrition. Analysis of Gm ALMT_5 tissue expression patterns, subcellular localization, and malate exudation from transgenic soybean hairy rootsoverexpressing Gm ALMT_5, demonstrated that Gm ALMT_5 is a plasma membrane protein that mediates malate efflux from roots. Furthermore, both growth and P content of transgenic Arabidopsis overexpressing Gm ALMT_5 were significantly increased when sparingly soluble Ca-P was used as the external P source. Taken together, these results indicate that members of the soybean Gm ALMT gene family exhibit diverse responses to Pi starvation. | 3 | C:N:P stoichiometry of Ericaceae species in shrubland biomes across Southern China:influences of climate,soil and species identity显示文摘Aims Carbon(C),nitrogen(N)and phosphorus(P)stoichiometry strongly affect functions and nutrient cycling within ecosystems.However,the related researches in shrubs were very limited.In this study,we aimed to inves-tigate leaf stoichiometry and its driving factors in shrubs,and whether stoichiometry significantly differs among closely related species.Methods We analyzed leaf C,N and P concentrations and their ratios in 32 species of Ericaceae from 161 sites across southern China.We examined the relationships of leaf stoichiometry with environmen-tal variables using linear regressions,and quantified the interactive and independent effects of climate,soil and species on foliar stoi-chiometry using general linear models(GLM).Important Findings The foliar C,N and P contents of Ericaceae were 484.66,14.44 and 1.06 mg g−1,respectively.Leaf C,N and P concentrations and their ratios in Ericaceae were significantly related with latitude and altitude,except the N:P insignificantly correlated with latitude.Climate(mean annual temperature and precipitation)and soil properties(soil C,N and P and bulk density)were significantly influenced element stoichiom-etry.The GLM analysis showed that soil exerted a greater direct effect on leaf stoichiometry than climate did,and climate affected leaf traits mainly via indirect ways.Further,soil properties had stronger influ-ences on leaf P than on leaf C and N.Among all independent factors examined,we found species accounted for the largest proportion of the variation in foliar stoichiometry.These results suggest that species can largely influence foliar stoichiometry,even at a lower taxonomic level. | Qiang Zhang Qing Liu Huajun Yin Chunzhang Zhao Lin Zhang Guoying Zhou Chunying Yin Zhijun Lu Gaoming Xiong Yuelin Li Jiaxiang Li Wenting Xu Zhiyao Tang Zongqiang Xie | 2019 | Journal of Plant Ecology2019,12,2: | 4 |
| 4 | A genetically encoded ratiometric calcium sensor enables quantitative measurement of the local calcium microdomain in the endoplasmic reticulum显示文摘The local Ca^2+ release from the heterogeneously distributed endoplasmic reticulum (ER) calcium store has a critical role in calcium homeostasis and cellular function. However;single fluorescent proteinbased ER calcium probes experience challenges in quantifying the ER calcium store in differing live cells, and intensity-based measurements make it difficult to detect local calcium microdomains in the ER. Here, we developed a genetically encoded ratiometric ER calcium indicator [GCEPIA1-SNAPer] that can detect the real-time ER calcium store and local calcium microdomains in live cells. GCEPIA1-SNAPer was located in the lumen of the ER and showed a linear;reversible and rapid response to changes in the ER calcium store. The GCEPIA1-SNAPer probe effectively monitored the depletion of the ER calcium store by TG or starvation treatment, and through 让s use we identified heterogeneously distributed calcium microdomains in the ER which were correlated w让h the distribution of STIM1 clusters upon ER calcium store depletion. | 6 | Bio-remediation of acephate–Pb(Ⅱ) compound contaminants by Bacillus subtilis FZUL-33显示文摘Removal of Pb^(2+)and biodegradation of organophosphorus have been both widely investigated respectively. However, bio-remediation of both Pb^(2+)and organophosphorus still remains largely unexplored. Bacillus subtilis FZUL-33, which was isolated from the sediment of a lake, possesses the capability for both biomineralization of Pb^(2+)and biodegradation of acephate. In the present study, both Pb^(2+)and acephate were simultaneously removed via biodegradation and biomineralization in aqueous solutions.Batch experiments were conducted to study the influence of p H, interaction time and Pb^(2+)concentration on the process of removal of Pb2+. At the temperature of 25°C, the maximum removal of Pb^(2+)by B. subtilis FZUL-33 was 381.31 ± 11.46 mg/g under the conditions of p H 5.5, initial Pb^(2+)concentration of 1300 mg/L, and contact time of 10 min. Batch experiments were conducted to study the influence of acephate on removal of Pb^(2+)and the influence of Pb2+on biodegradation of acephate by B. subtilis FZUL-33. In the mixed system of acephate–Pb2+, the results show that biodegradation of acephate by B. subtilis FZUL-33 released PO43+, which promotes mineralization of Pb2+. The process of biodegradation of acephate was affected slightly when the concentration of Pb2+was below 100 mg/L.
