1TOF–SIMS surface analysis of chemical components of size–fractioned urban aerosols in a typical heavy air pollution event in Beijing显示文摘Size–fractioned atmospheric aerosol particles were collected during a typical heavy air pollution event in Beijing. The organic and inorganic components on the surfaces of the samples were analyzed using time–of–flight secondary ion mass spectrometry(TOF–SIMS).The variation characteristics of the surface chemical composition and influencing factors were studied, and the possible sources of these chemical compositions were identified through principal component analysis. The results showed that inorganic components such as crustal elements and sulfate, and organic components such as aliphatic hydrocarbons and oxygen–containing organic groups were present. Some surface components, such as polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, heavy metals and fluorides may exert adverse effects on human health. The species and relative percentages of the chemical components varied with particle size, diurnal and pollution progress. During a heavy pollution event, the species and relative percentages of secondary components such as oxygen–containing organic groups and sulfurous compounds increased, indicating that particles aged during this event. The surface chemical composition of the aerosol particles was affected mainly by emissions from coal combustion and motor vehicles. 2Effect of acupotomy on chondrocyte proliferation and expression of CyclinD1,CDK4 and CDK6 in rabbits with knee osteoarthritis显示文摘Objective:The aim of this study was to investigate the mechanism of acupotomology(Apo)in the prevention of articular cartilage destruction via the promotion of chondrocyte proliferation and chondrocyte expression of cell cycle regulators,CyclinD1,CDK4 and CDK6 in a rabbit knee osteoarthritis(KOA)model.Methods:Twenty-eight rabbits were randomly divided into a control group,an OA(osteoarthritis)model group,an Apo(acupotomology)group and EA(electro-acupuncture)group(n Z 7).Improved Videman’s method was used to induce a rabbit model of KOA over 6 weeks.One week later,acupotomy and electro-acupuncture therapy was applied to animals in the respective groups and treatment lasted 4 weeks.Following these treatments,quantitative real-time PCR,immunohistochemical staining and western blotting were performed to assess the mRNA and protein levels of cell cycle regulators CyclinD1(Cell cycle protein D1),CDK4(Cyclin-dependent kinase 4)and CDK6(Cyclin-dependent kinase 6).Ethology measures and knee morphology were also compared among groups.Results:The Lequesne MG index score of morphology was increased(P<.01),and the passive range of motion(PROM)and the mRNA and protein levels of CyclinD1,CDK4,and CDK6 were significantly decreased(P<.01)in the OA model compared with the control group.The Lequesne MG index score and the morphology score were decreased in the Apo and EA group compared with the OA model group(P<.05 or P<.01),while the mRNA levels of CyclinD1,CDK4,and CDK6,and the protein levels of CDK4 were increased in the Apo and EA groups compared with the OA model group(P<.05 or P<.01).The PROM,and the protein levels of CyclinD1 and CDK6 were increased(P<.05)in the Apo group compared with the OA model group,while the PROM and the protein levels of CyclinD1 and CDK6 in the EA group were not significantly different(P>.05).Compared with the EA group,the morphology score was decreased in Apo group(P<.05).Conclusions:The mRNA levels of CyclinD1 and CDK4,and the protein level of CDK4 in chondrocytes are regulate by both Apo and EA.Apo is more effective than EA in regulating the protein levels of CyclinD1 and CDK6.According to the observed changes in morphology and cytokine levels,acupotomy can promote chondrocyte proliferation and can alleviate the destruction of articular cartilage in a model of KOA.Yang Gao Tong Wang Wei Zhang Xiaowei Shi Shining Ma Lijuan Wang Shuai Zhou Defeng Wang Meyer Magali Changqing Guo 2019Journal of Traditional Chinese Medical Sciences2019,6,3:2
3Quorum sensing systems regulate heterotrophic nitrification-aerobic denitrification by changing the activity of nitrogen-cycling enzymes显示文摘Heterotrophic nitrification-aerobic denitrification(HNAD)is essential in diverse nitrogen-transforming processes.How HNAD is modulated by quorum sensing(QS)systems is still ambiguous.The QS system in Pseudomonas aeruginosa manipulates colony behavior.Here,we described the influence of the Pseudomonas quinolone signal(PQS)and N-acyl-L-homoserine lactone(AHL)on HNAD.The HNAD of P.aeruginosa was inhibited by the oversecretion of PQS.AHL-or PQS-deficient P.aeruginosa mutants had a higher ability for nitrogen removal.QS inhibited heterotrophic nitrification mainly via controlling the activity of nitrite oxidoreductase(NXR)and the depressed aerobic denitrification by regulating the catalytic abilities of nitric oxide reductase(NOR),nitrite reductase(NIR),and nitrate reductase(NAR).The addition of citrate as the sole carbon source increased the nitrogen removal efficiency compared with other carbon sources.Nitrite,as the sole nitrogen source,could be used entirely with only the moderate concentration of PQS contained.AHL and PQS controlled both nitrification and denitrification,suggesting that QS plays an important role in nitrogen cycle under aerobic conditions.Ziqian Zhu Yang Yang Anran Fang Yu Lou Guojun Xie Nanqi Ren Defeng Xing 2020Environmental Science and Ecotechnology2020,,2:2

11Facile and Economical Fabrication of Superhydrophobic Flexible Resistive Strain Sensors for Human Motion Detection显示文摘Superhydrophobic flexible strain sensors have great application value in the fields of personal health monitoring,human motion detection,and soft robotics due to their good flexibility and high sensitivity.However,complicated preparation processes and costly processing procedures have limited their development.To overcome these limitations,in this work we develop a facile and low-cost method for fabricating superhydrophobic flexible strain sensor via spraying carbon black(CB)nanoparticles dispersed in a thermoplastic elastomer(SEBS)solution on a polydimethylsiloxane(PDMS)flexible substrate.The prepared strain sensor had a large water contact angle of 153±2.83°and a small rolling angle of 8.5±1.04°,and exhibited excellent self-cleaning property.Due to the excellent superhydrophobicity,aqueous acid,salt,and alkali could quickly roll off the flexible strain sensor.In addition,the sensor showed excellent sensitivity(gauge factor(GF)of 5.4–7.35),wide sensing ranges(stretching:over 70%),good linearity(three linear regions),low hysteresis(hysteresis error of 4.8%),and a stable response over 100 stretching-releasing cycles.Moreover,the sensor was also capable of effectively detecting human motion signals like finger bending and wrist bending,showing promising application prospects in wearable electronic devices,personalized health monitoring,etc.Yulin Shang Bingzhen Zhang Jiyu Liu Chunwen Xia Xiaowei Yang Defeng Yan Jing Sun 2023Nanomanufacturing and Metrology2023,6,1:0

13Preparation and Gas Sensing Performance of Hierarchical Porous ZnO-based Materials with Sunflower Rods as a Biological Template显示文摘A graded porous structure SnO2/ZnO composite was prepared with sunflower rods as a biological template. The prepared samples were subjected to phase analysis by scanning electron microscopy(SEM), transmission electron microscopy(TEM), X-ray diffractiometry(XRD) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS).ZnO sample was a pure phase of hexagonal wurtzite, and the template had been completely removed. The surface of the sample presented a honeycomb-like structure of a sunflower rod template, which was formed by interconnecting the porous channels, and had a smaller average size and exhibited n-n heterojunction at tlie n-type ZnO interface. Compared with that of pure ZnO, the response of the hierarchical porous structure SnO2/ZnO composite to 100 mg/L w-butanol reached a maximiuTi of 40.61 at 240℃, about 2.7 times higher than that of pure ZnO. Its response time and recovery time are 6 and 3 s, respectively, which are also better than those of pure ZnO. 14The IDD Transcription Factors:Their Functions in Plant Development and Environmental Response显示文摘INDETERMINATE-DOMAIN proteins(IDDs)are a plant-specific transcription factor family characterized by a conserved ID domain with four zinc finger motifs.Previous studies have demonstrated that IDDs coordinate a diversity of physiological processes and functions in plant growth and development,including floral transition,plant architecture,seed and root development,and hormone signaling.In this review,we especially summarized the latest knowledge on the functions and working models of IDD members in Arabidopsis,rice,and maize,particularly focusing on their role in the regulatory network of biotic and abiotic environmental responses,such as gravity,temperature,water,and pathogens.Understanding these mechanisms underlying the function of IDD proteins in these processes is important for improving crop yields by manipulating their activity.Overall,the review offers valuable insights into the functions and mechanisms of IDD proteins in plants,providing a foundation for further research and potential applications in agriculture.Jing Liu Defeng Shu Zilong Tan Mei Ma Huanhuan Yang Ning Guo Shipeng Li Dayong Cui 2024Phyton-International Journal of Experimental Botany2024,93,1:0
