1Effects of Ziyin Jianghuo Ningxin decoction plus dehydroepiandrosterone and femoston in treatment of patients with menopausal symptoms显示文摘OBJECTIVE: To determine the therapeutic effect of Ziyin Jianghuo Ningxin Decoction(ZYJHNXD) plus dehydroepiandrosterone(DHEA) and menopausalhormone therapy(MHT) in patients suffering from menopausal symptoms identified as, in terms of Traditional Chinese Medicine, symptom pattern of Yin deficiency with hyperactive fire.METHODS: Totally 180 postmenopausal women aged 40 to 60 years were assigned into four groups and accepted femoston, femoston with ZYJHNXD,femoston with DHEA, femoston with ZYJHNXD and DHEA therapies, respectively, for three months.Common questionnaire-based measure instruments included modified Kupperman index(MKI),Hamilton Rating Scale for Anxiety(HAMA), and Hamilton Rating Scale for Depression(HAMD). Follicle-stimulating hormone(FSH), luteinizing hormone(LH), estradiol(E2), 5-hydroxyindole-3-acetic acid(5-HIAA), norepinephrine(NE), dopamine(DA),bone mineral density(BMD), and sleep quality were evaluated before and three months after the treatments.RESULTS: In all four groups, the scores of MKI, HAMA, HAMD and the levels of FSH, LH decreased significantly(P < 0.05) after the treatment, while the levels of E2, 5-HIAA, NE, and DA showed obvious elevation(P < 0.05). 3Component analysis and risk assessment of biogas slurry from biogas plants显示文摘Massive amounts of biogas slurry are produced due to the development of biogas plants.The pollution features and the risk of biogas slurry were fully evaluated in this work.Thirty-one biogas slurry samples were collected from sixteen different cities and five different raw materials biogas plants(e.g.cattle manure,swine manure,straw-manure mixture,kitchen waste and chicken manure).The chemical oxygen demand(COD),ammonia nitrogen(NH_(4)^(+)-N),anions(e.g.Cl^(-1),SO_(4)^(2-),NO_(3)^(-)and PO_(4)^(3-)),antibiotics(e.g.sulphonamides,quinolones,β2-receptor agonists,macrolides,tetracyclines and crystal violet)and heavy metals(e.g.Cu,Cd,As,Cr,Hg,Zn and Pb)contents from these biogas slurry samples were systematically investigated.On this basis,risk assessment of biogas slurry was also performed.The concentrations of COD,NH_(4)^(+)-N and PO_(4)^(3-) in biogas slurry samples with chicken manure as raw material were significantly higher than those of other raw materials.Therefore,the biogas slurry from chicken manure raw material demonstrated the most serious eutrophication threat.The antibiotic contents in biogas slurry samples from swine manure were the highest among five raw materials,mostly sulphonamides,quinolones and tetracyclines.Biogas slurry revealed particularly serious arsenic contamination and moderate potential ecological risk.The quadratic polynomial stepwise regression model can quantitatively describe the correlation among NH_(4)^(+)-N,PO_(4)^(3+) and heavy metals concentration of biogas slurry.This work demonstrated a universal potential threat from biogas slurry that can provide supporting data and theoretical basis for harmless treatment and reuse of biogas slurry.Lanting Ke Xiaobin Liu Bingqing Du Yuanpeng Wang Yanmei Zheng Qingbiao Li 2022Chinese Journal of Chemical Engineering2022,35,4:5

10High-Throughput Powder Diffraction Using White X-Ray Beam and a Simulated Energy-Dispersive Array Detector显示文摘High-throughput powder X-ray diffraction(XRD)with white X-ray beam and an energy-dispersive detector array is demonstrated in this work on a CeO;powder sample on a bending magnet synchrotron beamline at the Shanghai Synchrotron Radiation Facility(SSRF),using a simulated energy-dispersive array detector consisting of a spatially scanning silicon-drift detector(SDD).Careful analysis and corrections are applied to account for various experimental hardware-related and diffraction angle-related factors.The resulting diffraction patterns show that the relative strength between different diffraction peaks from energy-dispersive XRD(EDXRD)spectra is consistent with that from angle-resolved XRD(ARXRD),which is necessary for analyzing crystal structures for unknown samples.The X-ray fluorescence(XRF)signal is collected simultaneously.XRF counts from all pixels are integrated directly by energy,while the diffraction spectra are integrated by d-spacing,resulting in a much improved peak strength and signal-to-noise(S/N)ratio for the array detector.In comparison with ARXRD,the diffraction signal generated by a white X-ray beam over monochromic light under the experimental conditions is about 104 times higher.The full width at half maximum(FWHM)of the peaks in q-space is found to be dependent on the energy resolution of the detector,the angle span of the detector,and the diffraction angle.It is possible for EDXRD to achieve the same or even smaller FWHM as ARXRD under the energy resolution of the current detector if the experimental parameters are properly chosen.Xiaoping Wang Weiwei Dong Peng Zhang Haoqi Tang Lanting Zhang Tieying Yang Peng Liu Hong Wang X.-D.Xiang 2022Engineering2022,8,3:0
11Exosome miRNAs profiling in serum and prognostic evaluation in patients with multiple myeloma显示文摘MicroRNAs(MiRNAs)carried by exosomes play pivotal roles in the crosstalk between cell components in the tumor microenvironment.Our study aimed at identifying the expression profile of exosomal miRNAs(exo-miRNAs)in the serum of multiple myeloma(MM)patients and investigating the regulation networks and their potential functions by integrated bioinformatics analysis.Exosomes in serum from 19 newly diagnosed MM patients and 9 healthy donors were isolated and the miRNA profile was investigated by small RNA sequencing.Differential expression of exo-miRNAs was calculated and target genes of miRNAs were predicted.CytoHubba was applied to identify the hub miRNAs and core target genes.The LASSO Cox regression model was used to develop the prognostic model,and the ESTIMATE immune score was calculated to investigate the correlation between the model and immune status in MM patients.The top six hub differentially expressed serum exo-miRNAs were identified.513 target genes of the six hub exo-miRNAs were confirmed to be differentially expressed in MM cells in the Zhan Myeloma microarray dataset.Functional enrichment analysis indicated that these target genes were mainly involved in mRNA splicing,cellular response to stress,and deubiquitination.13 core exo-miRNA target genes were applied to create a novel prognostic signature to provide risk stratification for MM patients,which is associated with the immune microenvironment of MM patients.Our study comprehensively investigated the exo-miRNA profiles in MM patients.A novel prognostic signature was constructed to facilitate the risk stratification of MM patients with distinct outcomes.Teng Fang Hao Sun Xiyue Sun Yi He Peixia Tang Lixin Gong Zhen Yu Lanting Liu Shiyi Xie Tingyu Wang Zhenshu Xu Shuhua Yi Gang An Yan Xu Guoqing Zhu Lugui Qiu Mu Hao 2023Blood Science2023,5,3:0
12Antinociceptive effects of novel epibatidine analogs through activation of α4β2 nicotinic receptors显示文摘The study of α4β2 nicotinic receptors has provided new indications in the treatment of pain. Efforts have been made to explore new α4β2 nicotinic receptor agonists, including TC-2559, as antinociceptive drugs. In this study, we discovered a set of novel epibatidine analogs with strong binding affinities to the α4β2 nicotinic receptors. Among these compounds, C-159, C-163, and C-9515 attenuated formalin-induced nociceptive responses in mice; C-9515 caused the most potent analgesic effect, which was blocked by mecamylamine, a non-selective nicotinic receptor antagonist. Furthermore, C-9515 potently inhibited chronic constriction injury(CCI)-induced neuropathic pain in rats, which was sensitive to DHβE, a selective α4β2 subtype antagonist,indicating that its analgesic effect was mediated by the activation of the α4β2 nicotinic receptors. 13PICOTEES:a privacy-preserving online service of phenotype exploration for genetic-diagnostic variants from Chinese children cohorts显示文摘The growth in biomedical data resources has raised potential privacy concerns and risks of genetic information leakage. For instance, exome sequencing aids clinical decisions by comparing data through web services, but it requires significant trust between users and providers. To alleviate privacy concerns, the most commonly used strategy is to anonymize sensitive data. Unfortunately, studies have shown that anonymization is insufficient to protect against reidentification attacks. Recently, privacy-preserving technologies have been applied to preserve application utility while protecting the privacy of biomedical data. We present the PICOTEES framework, a privacy-preserving online service of phenotype exploration for genetic-diagnostic variants (http://gffzz63bc6e6362d14768s50wf6cf60vb56of9.ffgz.tsg.suse.edu.cn/). PICOTEES enables privacy-preserving queries of the phenotype spectrum for a single variant by utilizing trusted execution environment technology, which can protect the privacy of the user's query information, backend models, and data, as well as the final results. We demonstrate the utility and performance of PICOTEES by exploring a bioinformatics dataset. The dataset is from a cohort containing 20,909 genetic testing patients with 3,152,508 variants from the Children's Hospital of Fudan University in China, dominated by the Chinese Han population (>99.9%). 14Quantitative determination of metaxalone in human plasma by LC-MS and its application in a pharmacokinetic study显示文摘A simple and rapid method using liquid chromatography–mass spectrometry(LC-MS) for the determination of metaxalone in human plasma has been developed and validated.Letrozole was used as the internal standard(IS). The plasma samples were simply treated with acetonitrile which allowed the precipitation of plasma proteins. The chromatographic separation was achieved on a Sapphire C18(2.1 mm × 150 mm, 5 μm, Newark, USA)column using the mobile phase(5 mM ammonium acetate containing 0.01% formic acid:acetonitrile(45:55, v/v)) at a flow rate of 0.3 ml/min. The selected ion monitoring(SIM) in the positive mode was used for the determination of [M + H]+m/z 222.1 and 286.1 for metaxalone and letrozole, respectively. The standard curve obtained was linear(r2≥ 0.99)over the concentration range of 30.24-5040 ng/ml. Meanwhile, no interfering peaks or matrix effect was observed. The method established was simple and successfully applied to a pharmacokinetic study of metaxalone in healthy Chinese volunteers after a single oral dose administration of 800 mg metaxalone. The main pharmacokinetic parameters of metaxalone were as follow: Cmax,(1664 ± 1208) ng/ml and(2063 ± 907) ng/ml;AUC0-36,(13925 ± 6590) ng/ml h and(18620 ± 5717) ng/ml h;t1/2,(13.6 ± 7.7) h and(20.3 ± 7.7) h for the reference and test tablets, respectively. 15Rapid screening of magnetic properties in several Fe-X-Ni systems via combinatorial materials chip method显示文摘Fe-X-Ni(X=Cr,W and V)combinatorial thin-film(∼100 nm thick)materials chips covering the full composition range of ternary systems were fabricated.The crystal structure distribution was mapped by micro-beam X-ray diffractometers(XRD)and the magnetic hysteresis loops over the chip were characterized by a high-throughput magneto-optical Kerr effect(HT-MOKE)system to establish the composition-phase-magnetic properties relationships.The results showed that saturation magnetization for all systems has a strong dependency on alloying composition,and decreases with increasing dopped elements content as a general trend.Although the trend of saturation magnetization in bulk is in good agreement with that from thin films,all bulk samples show almost no coercivity,attributable to the much smaller grain size,and stronger texture in thin-film samples.Comparing the Fe-X-Ni systems under a similar condition,in the out-of-plane,Cr alloying obtained the largest coercivity(∼400 mT)followed by W alloying(∼300 mT)and then V alloying(∼200 mT).We suggest that alloying with different elements leads to the diverse orientation and crystallinity of the fcc phase resulting in different magnetic properties.Meanwhile,the effect of heat treatment on magnetic properties indicates that saturation magnetization is more closely related to the duration of heat treatment.Cai Chen Xinyi Ji Jianhao Wang Mei Liu Yao Lu Xiaoping Wang Aimin Zhang Li Chen Xianping Dong Lanting Zhang Hong Wang 2023Journal of Materiomics2023,9,1:0
16Accuracy and reliability of orthogonal polynomials in representing corneal topography显示文摘Fitting of corneal topography data to analytical surfaces has been necessary in many clinical and experimental applications,yet absolute superiority of fitting methods was still unclear,and their overfitting risks were not well studied.This study aimed to evaluate the accuracy and reliability of orthogonal polynomials as fitting routines to represent corneal topography.Four orthogonal polynomials,namely,Zernike polynomials(ZPs),pseudo-Zernike polynomials(PZPs),Gaussian-Hermite polynomials(GHPs)and Orthogonal Fourier-Mellin polynomials(OFMPs),were employed to fit anterior and posterior corneal topographies collected from 200 healthy and 174 keratoconic eyes using Pentacam topographer.The fitting performance of these polynomials were compared,and the potential overfitting risks were assessed through a prediction exercise.The results showed that,except for low orders,the fitting performance differed little among polynomials with orders10 regarding surface reconstruction(RMSEs~0.3μm).Anterior surfaces of normal corneas were fitted more efficiently,followed by those of keratoconic corneas,then posterior corneal surfaces.The results,however,revealed an alarming fact that all polynomials tended to overfit the data beyond certain orders.GHPs,closely followed by ZPs,were the most robust in predicting unmeasured surface locations;while PZPs and especially OFMPs overfitted the surfaces drastically.Order 10 appeared to be optimum for corneal surfaces with 10-mm diameter,ensuring accurate reconstruction and avoiding overfitting.The optimum order however varied with topography diameters and data resolutions.The study concluded that continuing to use ZPs as fitting routine for most topography maps,or using GHPs instead,remains a good choice.Choosing polynomial orders close to the topography diameters(millimeters)is generally suggested to ensure both reconstruction accuracy and prediction reliability and avoid overfitting for both normal and complex(e.g.,keratoconic)corneal surfaces.Junjie Wang Xuefei Li Zheng Wang Pinakin G.Davey Yiyu Li Lanting Yang Mao Lin Xiaobo Zheng Fangjun Bao Ahmed Elsheikh 2022Medicine in Novel Technology and Devices2022,,3:0
17Encrypted traffic classification based on fusion of vision transformer and temporal features显示文摘Aiming at the problem that the current encrypted traffic classification methods only use the single network framework such as convolutional neural network(CNN),recurrent neural network(RNN),and stacked autoencoder(SAE),and only construct a shallow network to extract features,which leads to the low accuracy of encrypted traffic classification,an encrypted traffic classification framework based on the fusion of vision transformer and temporal features was proposed.Bottleneck transformer network(BoTNet)was used to extract spatial features and bi-directional long short-term memory(BiLSTM)was used to extract temporal features.After the two sub-networks are parallelized,the feature fusion method of early fusion was used in the framework to perform feature fusion.Finally,the encrypted traffic was identified through the fused features.The experimental results show that the BiLSTM and BoTNet fusion transformer(BTFT)model can enhance the performance of encrypted traffic classification by fusing multi-dimensional features.The accuracy rate of a virtual private network(VPN)and non-VPN binary classification is 99.9%,and the accuracy rate of fine-grained encrypted traffic twelve-classification can also reach 97%.Wang Lanting Hu Wei Liu Jianyi Pang Jin Gao Yating Xue Jingyao Zhang Jie 2023The Journal of China Universities of Posts and Telecommunications2023,30,2:0
18The primary influence of shear band evolution on the slope bearing capacity显示文摘Slope bearing capacity is one of the most important characteristics in slope engineering and is strongly influenced by weak planes,loading conditions,and slope geometry.By presenting the evolution of slip surfaces,this paper explored how the slope bearing capacity is affected by widely observed influencing factors.The initiation and propagation of slip surfaces are presented in laboratory model tests of slope using the transparent soil technique.Shear band evolution under various weak planes,loading conditions,and slope geometries were experimentally presented,and slope bearing capacities were analyzed with the process of shear band evolution.This paper verified that slip surface morphologies have a strong relation with the slope bearing capacity.The same slip surface morphology can have different evolutionary processes.In this case,it is the shear band evolution that determines the slope bearing capacity,not the morphology of the slip surface.The influencing factors such as pre-existing weak planes,loading conditions,and slope geometry strongly affect the slope bearing capacity as these factors govern the process of shear band evolution inside the slope.Lanting Wei Qiang Xu Shanyong Wang Xu Ji 2023Journal of Rock Mechanics and Geotechnical Engineering2023,15,4:0
