2Geochemistry and Zircon U-Pb Dating of Changshagou Adakite from the South Altyn UHPM Terrane: Evidence of the Partial Melting of the Lower Crust显示文摘Changshagou adakite, an outcrop in the middle segment of the South Altyn Tagh ultra-high pressure metamorphism(UHPM) terrane, contains medium-K cal-alkaline and weakly peraluminous compositions(Si O2 = 66.79% to 68.65%, Al2O3 = 17.48% to 18.31%, K2 O + Na2 O = 6.32% to 6.88%, K2O/Na2 O = 0.25 to 0.33, A/CNK = 1.01 to 1.06). This outcrop is also enriched with large ion lithophile elements but with depleted high-field strength elements(HFSE) showing clearly negative Nb, Ta, and Ti anomalies. REE distribution patterns show a positive anomaly of Eu(δEu = 1.15 to 1.31) and weakly enriched with LREE compared with HREE(LREE/HREE = 1.02 to 4.20). Experimental results and several characteristics, including relatively low Nb/Ta ratios(6.03 to 8.45) and high Sr, Sr/Y,(La/Yb)N and low Y and Yb, which indicate the presence of residual garnet and the absence of plagioclase in the source region, show that adakite may form at a pressure ranging from 1.2 GPa to 1.5 GPa and at a temperature of approximately 900°C. Low Cr, Ni, and Mg# values, trace element patterns, and Si O2–Mg# and Si O2–Mg O diagrams indicate that rocks are formed by the partial melting of a thickened lower continental crust. LA-ICP-MS in situ U-Pb dating yields two group ages: 503.1 ± 1.7 Ma(core) and 453.1 ± 3.0 Ma(rim). The Th/U ratios of the core and the rim are 0.11 to 0.40 and 0.03 to 0.07, respectively. 3Cloning of a gene-edited macaque monkey by somatic cell nuclear transfer显示文摘Cloning of macaque monkeys by somatic cell nucleus transfer(SCNT) allows the generation of monkeys with uniform genetic backgrounds that are useful for the development of non-human primate models of human diseases. Here, we report the feasibility of this approach by SCNT of fibroblasts from a macaque monkey(Macaca fascicularis), in which a core circadian transcription factor BMAL1 was knocked out by clustered regularly interspaced short palindromic repeat/Cas9 gene editing(see accompanying paper).Out of 325 SCNT embryos transferred into 65 surrogate monkeys, we cloned five macaque monkeys with BMAL1 mutations in both alleles without mosaicism, with nuclear genes identical to that of the fibroblast donor monkey. Further peripheral blood m RNA analysis confirmed the complete absence of the wild-type BMAL1 transcript. 4Genome-wide Identification and Classification of HSF Family in Grape, and Their Transcriptional Analysis under Heat Acclimation and Heat Stress显示文摘Heat stress is one of the most serious threats in viticulture. Heat shock transcription factors(HSFs) have been proven to be the most important transcriptional factor family in the plant response to heat. In this study, a total of 19 putative HSF genes(VHSFs) were identified from the 12 × Vitis vinifera Pinot Noir PN4002 genome, and their chromosomal location, phylogenetic tree, exon-intron structure and conserved motifs were also analyzed. In addition, these HSFs transcriptional profiles in Vitis vinifera 'Jingxiu'(weak heat tolerance) and Vitis davidii 'Tangwei'(strong heat tolerance) under heat stress(47℃) and heat acclimation(38℃) were presented. Only VHSF01, VHSF05, VHSF15 and VHSF18 among 19 VHSFs showed different transcriptional models in these two genotypes under the same treatment, suggesting that these four VHSFs may be important factors which result in a thermotolerance difference between 'Jingxiu' and 'Tangwei'. 5Impacts of temperature and precipitation on runoff in the Tarim River during the past 50 years显示文摘The relationship between climate change and water resources in the Tarim River was analyzed by combining the temperature,precipitation and streamflow data from 1957 to 2007 from the four headstreams of the Tarim River (Aksu,Hotan,Yarkant and Kaidu rivers) in the study area.The long-term trend of the hydrological time series including temperature,precipitation and streamflow were studied using correlation analysis and partial correlations analysis.Holt double exponential smoothing was used to fit the trends between streamflow and the two climatic factors of Aksu River,Hotan River and Yarkant River.The streamflow of the main stream was forecasted by Autoregressive Integrated Moving Average Model (ARIMA) modeling by the method of time series analysis.The results show that the temperature experienced a trend of monotonic rising.The precipitation and runoff of the four headstreams of the Tarim River increased,while the inflow to the headstreams increased and the inflow into the Tarim River decreased.Changes of temperature and precipitation had a significant impact on runoff into the four headstreams of the Tarim River: the precipitation had a positive impact on water flow in the Aksu River,Hotan River and Kaidu River,while the temperature had a positive impact on water flow in the Yarkant River.The results of Holt double exponential smoothing showed that the correlation between the independent variable and dependent variable was relatively close after the model was fitted to the headstreams,of which only the runoff and temperature values of Hotan River showed a significant negative correlation.The forecasts by the ARIMA model for 50 years of annual runoff at the Allar station followed the pattern of the measured data for the same years.The short-term forecasts beyond the observed series adequately captured the pattern in the data and showed a decreasing tendency in the Tarim River flow of 3.07% every ten years.The results showed that global warming accelerated the water recharge process of the headstreams.The special hydrological characteristics of the arid area determined the significant association between streamflow and the two climatic factors studied.Strong glacier retreat is likely to bring a series of flood disasters within the study area.YuTing FAN YaNing CHEN WeiHong LI HuaiJun WANG XinGong LI 2011Journal of Arid Land2011,3,3:13
6mTOR/miR-145-regulated exosomal GOLM1 promotes hepatocellular carcinoma through augmented GSK-3b/MMPs显示文摘Golgi membrane protein 1(GOLM1/GP73)is a serum marker of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC).We have previously shown that mTOR promoted tumorigenesis of HCC through stimulating GOLM1 expression.In this study,we demonstrated that the mammalian target of rapamycin(mTOR)was a negative regulator of microRNA-145(miR-145)expression.miR-145 inhibited GOLM1 expression by targeting a coding sequence of GOLM1 gene.GOLM1 and miR-145 were inversely correlated in human HCC tissues.GOLM1-enriched exosomes activated the glycogen synthase kinase-3β/matrix metalloproteinases(GSK-3β/MMPs)signaling axis of recipient cells and accelerated cell proliferation and migration.In contrast,miR-145 suppressed tumorigenesis and metastasis.We suggest that mTOR/miR-145/GOLM1 signaling pathway should be targeted for HCC treatment.Xiaochen Gai Bufu Tang Fangming Liu Yuting Wu Fang Wang Yanling Jing Fuqiang Huang Di Jin Ling Wang Hongbing Zhang 2019Journal of Genetics and Genomics2019,46,5:13
7Elimination of senescent cells byβ-galactosidase-targeted prodrug attenuates inflammation and restores physical function in aged mice显示文摘Cellular senescence,a persistent state of cell cycle arrest,accumulates in aged organisms,contributes to tissue dysfunction,and drives age-related phenotypes.The clearance of senescent cells is expected to decrease chronic,low-grade inflammation and improve tissue repair capacity,thus attenuating the decline of physical function in aged organisms.However,selective and effective clearance of senescent cells of different cell types has proven challenging.Herein,we developed a prodrug strategy to design a new compound based on the increased activity of lysosomalβ-galactosidase(β-gal),a primary characteristic of senescent cells.Our prodrug SSK1 is specifically activated byβ-gal and eliminates mouse and human senescent cells independently of senescence inducers and cell types.In aged mice,our compound effectively cleared senescent cells in different tissues,decreased the senescence-and age-associated gene signatures,attenuated low-grade local and systemic inflammation,and restored physical function.Our results demonstrate that lysosomalβ-gal can be effectively leveraged to selectively eliminate senescent cells,providing a novel strategy to develop anti-aging interventions.Yusheng Cai Huanhuan Zhou Yinhua Zhu Qi Sun Yin Ji Anqi Xue Yuting Wang Wenhan Chen Xiaojie Yu Longteng Wang Han Chen Cheng Li Tuoping Luo Hongkui Deng 2020Cell Research2020,30,7:12

9Electrochemical synthesis of nitric acid from air and ammonia through waste utilization显示文摘Commercial nitric acid(HNO3) and ammonia(NH3) are mostly produced through the Ostwald process and the Haber-Bosch process, respectively. However, high energy demand and enormous greenhouse gas accompy these processes. The development of economical and green ways to synthesize HNO3 and NH3 is highly desirable for solving the global energy and environmental crisis. Here, we present two energy-efficient and environmentally friendly strategies to synthesize HNO3 and NH3 at distributed sources, including the electrocatalytic oxidation of N2 in air to HNO3 and the electrocatalytic reduction of residual NO3- contamination in water to NH3. The isotope-labeling studies combined with theoretical calculation reveal the reaction path of the two proposed strategies, confirming the origin of the electrochemical products. Importantly, the electrooxidation-generated NO3- ions may also serve as reactants for the electroreduction synthesis of NH3 in the future. 13Surface ozone monitoring and background characteristics at Zhongshan Station over Antarctica显示文摘Seasonal variation in surface ozone and the relationship between the background ozone concentration and wind were evaluated at Zhongshan Station,Antarctica using 2008 data.The wind frequency from the station area was only 2%,while the prevailing wind frequency was much larger (79.2%).This indicates that the surface ozone observations were not affected by the human activities at the station,and therefore could be counted as background concentrations of surface ozone along Antarctic coast.The concentration of surface ozone shows a distinct annual variation with the yearly mean of 25.0 nmol mol-1 and the maximum in winter,the minimum in summer.The surface ozone concentration had a strong negative correlation with ultraviolet radiation,and the mean values during polar night were one to two times higher than those in summer.These results imply that photochemical destruction of ozone dominates over Antarctica.The ozone depletion events at Zhongshan Station were obviously related to lower temperatures and higher BrO concentrations.Backward trajectory analysis reveals that the ozone depletion events are predominately caused by the high BrO concentrations.WANG YuTing BIAN LinGen MA YongFeng TANG Jie ZHANG DongQi ZHENG XiangDong 2011Chinese Science Bulletin2011,56,10:7

15No expenditure difference among patients with liver cancer at stageⅠ-ⅣV:Findings from a multicenter cross-sectional study in China显示文摘Objective:The number of liver cancer patients in China accounts for more than half of the world.However,China currently lacks national,multicenter economic burden data,and meanwhile,measuring the differences among different subgroups will be informative to formulate corresponding policies in liver cancer control.Thus,the aim of the study was to measure the economic burden of liver cancer by various subgroups.Methods:A hospital-based,multicenter and cross-sectional survey was conducted during 2012・2014,covering 39 hospitals and 21 project sites in 13 provinces across China.The questionnaire covers clinical information,sociology,expenditure,and related variables.All expenditure data were reported in Chinese Yuan(CNY)using 2014 values.Results:A total of 2,223 liver cancer patients were enrolled,of whom 59.61%were late-stage cases(III-IV),and 53.8%were hepatocellular carcinoma.The average total expenditure per liver cancer patient was estimated as 53,220 CNY,including 48,612 CNY of medical expenditures(91.3%)and 4,608 CNY of non-medical expenditures(8.7%).The average total expenditures in stage I,H,m and stage IV were 52,817 CNY,50,877 CNY,50,678 CNY and 54,089 CNY(P>0.05),respectively.Non-medical expenditures including additional meals,additional nutrition care,transportation,accommodation and hired informal nursing were 1,453 CNY,839 CNY,946 CNY,679 CNY and 200 CNY,respectively.The one-year out-of-pocket expenditure of a newly diagnosed patient was 24,953 CNY,and 77.2%of the patients suffered an unmanageable financial burden.Multivariate analysis showed that overall expenditure differed in almost all subgroups(P<0.05),except for sex,clinical stage,and pathologic type.Conclusions:There was no difference in treatment expenditure for liver cancer patients at different clinical stages,which suggests that maintaining efforts on treatment efficacy improvement is important but not enough.To fiirtherly reduce the overall economic burden from liver cancer,more effort should be given to primary and secondary prevention strategies.Haike Lei Lin Lei Jufang Shi Yongzhong Wu Ling Liang Huiyao Huang Mei He Fangzhou Bai Maomao Cao Hui Qiu Yuting Wang Chengcheng Liu Jia Du Hong Wang Yan Zhang Mengdi Cao Ji Peng Ni Li Chunfeng Qu Min Dai Wanqing Chen Jie He 2020Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,4:7

17Nitrogen and Phosphorus Dual-Doped Multilayer Graphene as Universal Anode for Full Carbon-Based Lithium and Potassium Ion Capacitors显示文摘Lithium/potassium ion capacitors(LICs/PICs) have been proposed to bridge the performance gap between high-energy batteries and high-power capacitors.However,their development is hindered by the choice,electrochemical performance,and preparation technique of the battery-type anode materials.Herein,a nitrogen and phosphorus dual-doped multilayer graphene(NPG) material is designed and synthesized through an arc discharge process,using low-cost graphite and solid nitrogen and phosphorus sources.When employed as the anode material,NPG exhibits high capacity,remarkable rate capability,and stable cycling performance in both lithium and potassium ion batteries.This excellent electrochemical performance is ascribed to the synergistic effect of nitrogen and phosphorus doping,which enhances the electrochemical conductivity,provides a higher number of ion storage sites,and leads to increased interlayer spacing.Full carbon-based NPG‖LiPF6‖active carbon(AC) LICs and NPG‖KPF6‖AC PICs are assembled and show excellent electrochemical performance,with competitive energy and power densities.This work provides a route for the large-scale production of dual-doped graphene as a universal anode material for high-performance alkali ion batteries and capacitors.Yuting Luan Rong Hu Yongzheng Fang Kai Zhu Kui Cheng Jun Yan Ke Ye Guiling Wang Dianxue Cao 2019Nano-Micro Letters2019,11,2:6
18Genome-and transcriptome-wide association studies provide insights into the genetic basis of natural variation of seed oil content in Brassica napus显示文摘Seed oil content(SOC)is a highly important and complex trait in oil crops.Here,we decipher the genetic basis of natural variation in SOC of Brassica napus by genome-and transcriptome-wide association studies using 505 inbred lines.We mapped reliable quantitative trait loci(QTLs)that control SOC in eight environments,evaluated the effect of each QTL on SOC,and analyzed selection in QTL regions during breeding.Six-hundred and ninety-two genes and four gene modules significantly associated with SOC were identified by analyzing population transcriptomes from seeds.A gene prioritization framework,POCKET(prioritizing the candidate genes by incorporating information on knowledge-based gene sets,effects of variants,genome-wide association studies,and transcriptome-wide association studies),was implemented to determine the causal genes in the QTL regions based on multi-omic datasets.A pair of homologous genes,BnPMT6s,in two QTLs were identified and experimentally demonstrated to negatively regulate SOC.This study provides rich genetic resources for improving SOC and valuable insights toward understanding the complex machinery that directs oil accumulation in the seeds of B.napus and other oil crops.Shan Tang Hu Zhao Shaoping Lu Liangqian Yu Guofang Zhang Yuting Zhang Qing-Yong Yang Yongming Zhou Xuemin Wang Wei Ma Weibo Xie Liang Guo 2021Molecular Plant2021,14,3:6

20Recent Advances on MOF Derivatives for Non-Noble Metal Oxygen Electrocatalysts in Zinc-Air Batteries显示文摘Oxygen electrocatalysts are of great importance for the air electrode in zinc-air batteries(ZABs).Owing to the high specific surface area,controllable pore size and unsaturated metal active sites,metal-organic frameworks(MOFs)derivatives have been widely studied as oxygen electrocatalysts in ZABs.To date,many strategies have been developed to generate efficient oxygen electrocatalysts from MOFs for improving the performance of ZABs.In this review,the latest progress of the MOF-derived non-noble metal-oxygen electrocatalysts in ZABs is reviewed.The performance of these MOF-derived catalysts toward oxygen reduction,and oxygen evolution reactions is discussed based on the categories of metal-free carbon materials,single-atom catalysts,metal cluster/carbon composites and metal compound/carbon composites.Moreover,we provide a comprehensive overview on the design strategies of various MOF-derived non-noble metal-oxygen electrocatalysts and their structure-performance relationship.Finally,the challenges and perspectives are provided for further advancing the MOF-derived oxygen electrocatalysts in ZABs.Yuting Zhu Kaihang Yue Chenfeng Xia Shahid Zaman Huan Yang Xianying Wang Ya Yan Bao Yu Xia 2021Nano-Micro Letters2021,13,9:5
