3No expenditure difference among patients with liver cancer at stageⅠ-ⅣV:Findings from a multicenter cross-sectional study in China显示文摘Objective:The number of liver cancer patients in China accounts for more than half of the world.However,China currently lacks national,multicenter economic burden data,and meanwhile,measuring the differences among different subgroups will be informative to formulate corresponding policies in liver cancer control.Thus,the aim of the study was to measure the economic burden of liver cancer by various subgroups.Methods:A hospital-based,multicenter and cross-sectional survey was conducted during 2012・2014,covering 39 hospitals and 21 project sites in 13 provinces across China.The questionnaire covers clinical information,sociology,expenditure,and related variables.All expenditure data were reported in Chinese Yuan(CNY)using 2014 values.Results:A total of 2,223 liver cancer patients were enrolled,of whom 59.61%were late-stage cases(III-IV),and 53.8%were hepatocellular carcinoma.The average total expenditure per liver cancer patient was estimated as 53,220 CNY,including 48,612 CNY of medical expenditures(91.3%)and 4,608 CNY of non-medical expenditures(8.7%).The average total expenditures in stage I,H,m and stage IV were 52,817 CNY,50,877 CNY,50,678 CNY and 54,089 CNY(P>0.05),respectively.Non-medical expenditures including additional meals,additional nutrition care,transportation,accommodation and hired informal nursing were 1,453 CNY,839 CNY,946 CNY,679 CNY and 200 CNY,respectively.The one-year out-of-pocket expenditure of a newly diagnosed patient was 24,953 CNY,and 77.2%of the patients suffered an unmanageable financial burden.Multivariate analysis showed that overall expenditure differed in almost all subgroups(P<0.05),except for sex,clinical stage,and pathologic type.Conclusions:There was no difference in treatment expenditure for liver cancer patients at different clinical stages,which suggests that maintaining efforts on treatment efficacy improvement is important but not enough.To fiirtherly reduce the overall economic burden from liver cancer,more effort should be given to primary and secondary prevention strategies.Haike Lei Lin Lei Jufang Shi Yongzhong Wu Ling Liang Huiyao Huang Mei He Fangzhou Bai Maomao Cao Hui Qiu Yuting Wang Chengcheng Liu Jia Du Hong Wang Yan Zhang Mengdi Cao Ji Peng Ni Li Chunfeng Qu Min Dai Wanqing Chen Jie He 2020Chinese Journal of Cancer Research2020,32,4:7
4Modeling investigation of geometric size effect on pervaporation dehydration through scaled-up hollow fiber NaA zeolite membranes显示文摘A mass transfer model in consideration of multi-layer resistances through Na A zeolite membrane and lumen pressure drop in the permeate side was developed to describe pervaporation dehydration through scaled-up hollow fiber supported NaA zeolite membrane. It was found that the transfer resistance in the lumen of the permeate side is strongly related with geometric size of hollow fiber zeolite membrane, which could not be neglected. The effect of geometric size on pervaporation dehydration could be more significant under higher vacuum pressure in the permeate side. The transfer resistance in the lumen increases with the hollow fiber length but decreases with lumen diameter. The geometric structure could be optimized in terms of the ratio of lumen diameter to membrane length. A critical value of dI/L(R_c) to achieve high permeation flux was empirically correlated with extraction pressure in the permeate side. 6Effects of Angelica sinensis extracts on lipid oxidation in fish feeds and growth performance of juvenile Jian carp(Cyprinus carpio var. Jian)显示文摘The study was to explore the effect of the extracts of Angelica sinensis(EAs) on lipid oxidation in fish feeds compared with ethoxyquin(EQ) and the effect of dietary EAs on growth performance of carp(Cyprinus carpio var. Jian). Firstly, fish feeds were respectively added with EQ, and ethyl ether extract ethyl acetate extract(EAE), acetone extract, ethanol extract(EE) and aqueous extract(AQE) of Angelica sinensis, except for the control. The results showed that EAs and EQ inhibited lipid oxidation in fish feed(P < 0.05). Of all of the examined EAs, EAE showed the strongest protective effects against lipid oxidation(P < 0.05). Moreover, EAE at high concentrations showed a stronger effect on lipid oxidation compared with EQ(P < 0.05). Then, 7 experimental diets respectively supplemented with 0.0, 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0, 5.0 and 6.0 g/kg of EAE were fed to the respective treatment groups for 30 d. Four replicates were performed for each treatment group; 20 carp(mean weight: 12.10 ± 0.13 g) were in each replicate. The result indicated that dietary EAE improved the growth performance in carp(P < 0.05). The appropriate con centration of EAE for carp growth was estimated to be 3.643 g/kg diet. 8Exogenous SA or 6-BA maintains photosynthetic activity in maize leaves under high temperature stress显示文摘With global warming, high-temperature(HT) stress has become a major abiotic stress for crops, in particular summer maize in China. Photosynthesis is sensitive to HT. Salicylic acid(SA) and 6-benzyladenine(6-BA) can improve the adaptation of plants to various biotic and abiotic stresses. However, their contribution to maintaining photosynthetic activity and alleviating photoinhibition in maize leaves under HT stress is still unclear. The effects of exogenous SA or 6-BA on growth, photosynthesis capacity, photosystem Ⅱ(PSII) activity, subcellular ultrastructure, antioxidant system, and plant hormones in maize leaves under HT stress were investigated. Under HT conditions, application of SA or 6-BA up-regulated gibberellin and zeatin content in leaves, increasing leaf area index(LAI). It also expanded the stomata by reducing abscisic acid and jasmonic acid content in leaves, cooling them and increasing CO2supply to photosynthesis. A higher net photosynthetic rate, combined with increased activity of the antioxidant system, alleviated oxidative stress in maize plants sprayed with SA or 6-BA, allowing them to maintain their chloroplast ultrastructure and PSII activity, in particular electron transfer from QAto QB. 9Model updating for real time dynamic substructures based on UKF algorithm显示文摘Combining the advantages of numerical simulation with experimental testing,real-time dynamic substructure(RTDS)testing provides a new experimental method for the investigation of engineered structures.However,not all unmodeled parts can be physically tested,as testing is often limited by the capacity of the test facility.Model updating is a good option to improve the modeling accuracy for numerical substructures in RTDS.In this study,a model updating method is introduced,which has great performance in describing this nonlinearity.In order to determine the optimal parameters in this model,an Unscented Kalman Filter(UKF)-based algorithm was applied to extract the knowledge contained in the sensors data.All the parameters that need to be identified are listed as the extended state variables,and the identification was achieved via the step-by-step state prediction and state update process.Effectiveness of the proposed method was verified through a group of experimental data,and results showed good agreement.Furthermore,the proposed method was compared with the Extended Kalman Filter(EKF)-based method,and better accuracy was easily found.The proposed parameter identification method has great applicability for structural objects with nonlinear behaviors and could be extended to research in other engineering fields.Su Tingli Tang Zhenyun Peng Lingyun Bai Yuting Jin Xuebo Kong Jianlei 2020Earthquake Engineering and Engineering Vibration2020,19,2:2

11Angular momentum holography via a minimalist metasurface for optical nested encryption显示文摘Metasurfaces can perform high-performance multi-functional integration by manipulating the abundant physical dimensions of light,demonstrating great potential in high-capacity information technologies.The orbital angular momentum(OAM)and spin angular momentum(SAM)dimensions have been respectively explored as the independent carrier for information multiplexing.However,fully managing these two intrinsic properties in information multiplexing remains elusive.Here,we propose the concept of angular momentum(AM)holography which can fully synergize these two fundamental dimensions to act as the information carrier,via a single-layer,non-interleaved metasurface.The underlying mechanism relies on independently controlling the two spin eigenstates and arbitrary overlaying them in each operation channel,thereby spatially modulating the resulting waveform at will.As a proof of concept,we demonstrate an AM meta-hologram allowing the reconstruction of two sets of holographic images,i.e.,the spin-orbital locked and the spin-superimposed ones.Remarkably,leveraging the designed dual-functional AM meta-hologram,we demonstrate a novel optical nested encryption scheme,which is able to achieve parallel information transmission with ultra-high capacity and security.Our work opens a new avenue for optionally manipulating the AM,holding promising applications in the fields of optical communication,information security and quantum science.Hui Yang Peng He Kai Ou Yueqiang Hu Yuting Jiang Xiangnian Ou Honghui Jia Zhenwei Xie Xiaocong Yuan Huigao Duan 2023Light(Science & Applications)2023,12,4:1

14An efficient chemical reduction-induced assembly of Fe_(3)O_(4)@graphene fiber for wire-shaped supercapacitors with ultrahigh volumetric energy density显示文摘Benefiting from high flexibility and weavability,the wire-shaped supercapacitors(SCs)arouse tremendous interests for the applications in wearable/portable electronics.Graphene fiber(GF)is considered as a promising linear electrode for wire-shaped SCs.However,the bottleneck is how to develop the GF-based linear electrode with facile fabrication process while wellmaintaining satisfactory electrochemical performance.Herein,a novel Fe_(3)O_(4)@GF composite linear electrode is proposed via a chemical reduction-induced assembly approach,in which the GO and Fe_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles(NPs)realize the efficient selfassembly owing to the electrostatic and van der Waals interactions,as well as the sufficient reduction of GO during the preparation process.The resultant fiber-shaped architecture shows boosted charge-transfer kinetics,high flexibility and structural integrity.Such Fe_(3)O_(4)@GF linear electrode exhibits excellent electrochemical behaviors including a large volumetric specific capacitance(~250.75 F cm^(−3)),remarkable rate capability and favorable electrochemical kinetics in aqueous electrolyte,superior than previously reported GF-based linear electrodes.For real application,a high-performance wire-shaped SC with excellent flexibility and weavability is fabricated based on such Fe_(3)O_(4)@GF linear electrode and gel electrolyte,demonstrating ultrahigh volumetric energy density(18.8 mWh cm^(−3)),power density(4000 mW cm^(−3))and strong durability(~93.5%retention after 10000 cycles).Prospectively,the fabricated wire-shaped SC can maintain reliable electrochemical behaviors in various deformation states,showing its potentials in future portable and wearable devices.XIAO Peng SHI MinJie XU Li TAO FengBo LI Yu ZHU HangTian LIU YuTing LI ZhiMin ZHOU YunPeng FENG Wei 2021Science China(Technological Sciences)2021,64,10:1

164-Mercaptopyridine Modified Fiber Optic Plasmonic Sensor for Sub-nM Mercury(II)Detection显示文摘In this paper,we propose and demonstrate a high-performance mercury ion sensor with sub-nM detection limit,high selectivity,and strong practicability based on the small molecule of the 4-mercaptopyridine(4-MPY)modified tilted fiber Bragg grating surface plasmon resonance(TFBG-SPR)sensing platform.The TFBG-SPR sensor has a rich mode field distribution and a narrow bandw idth,which can detect the microscopic physical and chemical reactions on the sensor surface with high sensitivity without being disturbed by the external temperature.For the environmental compatibility and highly efficient capture of the toxic mercury ion,4-MPY is modified on the sensor surface forming a stable(4-MPY)-Hg-(4-MPY)structure due to the specific combination between the nitrogen of the pyridine moiety and the Hg+via multidentate N-bonding.Moreover,gold nanoparticles(AuNPs)are connected to the sensor surface through the(4-MPY)-Hg-(4-MPY)structure,which could play an important role for signal amplification.Under the optimized conditions,the limit of detection of the sensor for mercury ions detection in the solution is as low as 1.643×10^(-10)M(0.1643 nM),and the detection range is 1×10^(-9)M-1×10^(-5)M.At the same time,the mercury ion spiked detection with tap water shows that the sensor has the good selectivity and reliability in actual water samples.We develop a valuable sensing technology for on-time environmental Hg t detection and in-vivo point of care testing in clinic applications.Yifan DUAN Yang ZHANG Fang WANG Yuting SUN Ming CHEN Zhenguo JING Qiao WANG Mengdi LU Wei PENG 2022Photonic Sensors2022,12,1:1
17Hierarchical Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@MoS_(2) heterostructures:A first principles calculation and application in corrosion/wear protection显示文摘Surface and interface engineering plays a crucial role in modulating the properties of materials,especially two-dimensional(2D)materials.Hence,a strategy,forming heterostructures with MoS_(2),is proposed to overcome the natural agglomeration of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) MXene nanosheets.Most importantly,the interactions between Ti_(3)C_(2)Tx and MoS_(2) were elaborately investigated by first-principles calculations based on density functional theory(DFT)for the first time.The calculations demonstrate that van der Waals forces dominate the interface interactions of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x) and MoS_(2),rendering Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@MoS_(2) heterostructures favorable stability.The Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@MoS_(2) heterostructure composites were synthesized through a facile one-step hydrothermal method and exhibit a 2D hierarchical structure.Furthermore,the corrosion and tribological properties of epoxy composite coatings with varying proportions of Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@MoS_(2) composites were studied in detail.As a result,the epoxy composite coating with 0.1 wt.%Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@MoS_(2) composites(Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@MoS_(2)-0.1)exhibits excellent corrosion protection and antiwear performances.The Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)@MoS_(2)-0.1 keeps the largest low-frequency impedance modulus(|Z|_(0.)01 Hz)and coating resistance(R_(c))during the whole immersion period.Its wear rate is 0.09μm^(3)/(Nμm)under the load of 10 N,one half of that of pure epoxy coating(EP).This work further broadens the application of MXene-based heterostructure composites.Meng Cai Peng Feng Han Yan Yuting Li Shijie Song Wen Li Hao Li Xiaoqiang Fan Minhao Zhu 2022Journal of Materials Science & Technology2022,,21:1
18Fast-chargingand dendrite-free lithiummetal anodeeenabledby partial lithiation ofgraphene aerogel显示文摘The development of deeply cyclable lithium metal batteries with fast-charging capability offers a promising solution to relieve the“range anxiety”in driving electric vehicles.Conventional lithium metal anodes suffered from low operating current densities and shallow charge/discharge depths,owing to the intrinsic dendrite growth governed by Sand’s law.Herein,we come up with a novel design of heavy-duty lithium metal anode fabricated by partially infusing the three-dimensional(3D)porous graphene aerogel with molten Li.Both electroanalytical measurements and simulations show that the unique electrode architecture brings notable advantages in mediating smooth Li plating/stripping,including reduced local current density,inhibited dendrite growth,buffered volume fluctuation,as well as more efficient Li utilization.Consequently,a remarkable cycling performance in symmetric cells for over 400 cycles(800 h)with an ultrahigh cycling capacity of 15 mAh·cm^(−2) at 15 mA·cm^(−2) is achieved,which,to our best knowledge,has been never seen in literature.LiFePO4 full cells demonstrate a superb rate capability up to 10 C and a prolonged cycling of 1,600 cycles at 2 C with the per-cycle capacity decay of only 0.023%.This study paves the way for the ultimate deployment of lithium metal batteries in real-world applications that require fast charging and deep cycling.Yong Ma Yuting Gu Ying He Le Wei Yuebin Lian Weiyi Pan Xinjian Li Yanhui Su Yang Peng Zhao Deng Zhongfan Liu 2022Nano Research2022,15,11:1
